I've tried to give this Ford dealership multiple chances over the years, and every experience is the same: frustrating, stressful, and honestly exhausting. They take your vehicle, give you a timeline, and never stick to it. Every time I bring my truck in, they magically "find" something wrong. Every single time. And somehow the warranty is always "expired" or "not valid," even though it's not. It feels like a script at this point. They also never have loaner cars available. Not once have they had a vehicle for us to use -- even when they know we depend on our truck, even when they know we're on a deadline, even when we tell them we're going out of town and have to have it back. Instead, we get, "It won't be ready," and "Sorry, no loaners." Zero solutions, zero support. The people answering the phones -- the service advisors -- are honestly the best part of the whole place. They're doing their jobs, they work hard, and they're stuck in the middle trying to deliver bad news all day. They deserve credit, because the real issue is management. Whoever is running this place clearly isn't prioritizing customers, communication, or accountability. The pattern is too consistent to be anything but a deeper problem. Bottom line: Ford has never done anything for us but cost us time, money, and frustration. We've been loyal, patient, and clear about what we need -- and it still doesn't matter. This includes the service manger Richard. On top of that that try to tell you that you need services that you don't need. I was told I needed spark plugs and a fuel system cleaning, not recommended but needed. Thing is I had that done several months ago at another Ford dealer. WARNING- DO NOT BUY FROM ASHEVILLE FORD: Things went downhill fast here. Within the first week the air conditioner stopped working anytime you drove the vehicle for more than 15 minutes. We contacted Ford and the guy I spoke to said they could only do something about it if the problem was actively happening. He actually suggested that perhaps I did not know how to use the AC. I realized we were within the 14 day 1,000 mile money back guarantee period for our $80,000 truck and I suggested that I just return it. I was ready to drive it right back to the dealership and get my money back. Ford convinced me to bring the vehicle in and I brought it in while the AC was not working. They assured me they were going to take care of it and make sure I was comfortable. At first they told me that a loaner would not be possible....(are you kidding? We have to work!) Finally they gave me a ridiculous loaner bronco sport while they "investigated" just to keep me from asking for a full refund on the truck. It was simply a stalling technique to push me past the 14 day return period. They had my truck for a week and then called to say they were going to have to wait on a part and to come back and pick up the truck. "Sorry!" So I picked up the truck. Then a week later they call again and say they are going to be able to fix it and they agree to give me an actual F-150 Loaner to drive while they are fixing it. I've had the loaner for THREE WEEKS--so nearly a month of loaners. Today Rich from Asheville Ford calls and tells me he's going to have me come in to pick up my truck and explains that it's not fixed yet but needs a new evaporator cooler and they have it being delivered. He goes on to say that his tech is on vacation next week so I should return the loaner and pick my truck up (with an air conditioner that only works less than half the time in 90 degree heat) and then bring it back whenever they can fix it. I explain that I would prefer to keep the loaner until they can fix the issue as I can not drive around in this heat with a brand new truck whose AC doesn't work. He continued to insist that the loaner comes back and actually tells me that keeping the loaner is just not an option as they need it back....and then has the nerve to tell me that the AC works most of the time (no...the AC works until the evaporator cooler freezes up which is minutes into driving and we drive all day for work) .....I am so disappointed with myself for not bringing the truck back for a full refund while I still could- especially after reading all of the nightmare reviews on their profile regarding their (lack of) service department. I am absolutely NOT going to return this loaner until I receive a working air conditioner and I'm more than happy to have my lawyer explain this to them if need be. Ridiculous that they think it's ok for us to get heat stroke because they are completely disorganized. STEER CLEAR - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Another update: 8/24/2023.....wow- so today we picked up our tremor for the 4th time after not having it for ANOTHER 2 weeks- all together Asheville Ford has had our new truck for almost 7 weeks. They called yesterday to say "all fixed"- we came to get it and the air conditioner stopped working 10 minutes into our drive home. It's a joke at this point. Rich refused to call Ford or contact them directly on our behalf so we called them today and asked them to buyback this lemon for the full purchase price. Later he would deny this while interrupting me and continuing to speak over me while I tried to finish a sentence. The NC lemon law states that if a new vehicle is out of use for 20 or more days and / or 4 attempts have been made to repair it unsuccessfully they are responsible for buying it back for the full amount. Update: 8/29 They STILL have the truck. Ford corporate has refused a buyback and no one at the ford dealership has offered ANYTHING- they seem to think having our brand new truck for 2 months is completely normal. Now they claim they have finally replaced the evaporator and it "should" be fixed. Buying this truck is a total regret. Save yourself the heartache and do not buy from this dealership. Went in to Fast Lane service and was told about 45 min to be service; one customer sitting in waiting room and one behind me. When technician went out to get my vin number I asked the other customers about service and they both had used this dealership with good satisfaction. My Escape has been great and I wanted quality service but the reviews worried me. During service they showed me the air filter and indicated it was ok but my decision to replace. Oil, tire rotation, and other systems checked and reviewed with me, all in reasonable time. My experience here was timely and good. I have never been treated so poorly at any dealer ever. They take weeks to do warranty repairs that they say will only take one day. The staff is very rude and hardly answers the phone. I recently purchased a used vehicle and have been waiting 63 days for my title. My paper tag is a month expired and they just keep saying it will be fine. My certified vehicle has blown a rear axle seal on a trip with my family in the car and had to add axle fluid to get home. Asheville ford couldn't get it in for a week to fix their 2 month old warranty axle seal. So I gladly paid egolf to fix my vehicle in 1 day. Since last time they kept it for 2 weeks for a plastic door hinge and radio software update. Once i finished and decided this was the vehicle for me, i stopped by and picked up a check on the way back. I had an appointment scheduled at Asheville Ford for Monday July 3, 2023 for a routine recall, and a diagnostic scan. Today marks one week later that they still have my car and have yet to even look at it. We were told on Monday they might not get to the car until Wednesday, which was already frustrating because I HAD AN APPOINTMENT. On Thursday we got a text saying it might be Friday before they could get to the car, but our car was up next. Today after multiple calls my husband was told that they will try to get to the car tomorrow but they have another car ahead of us for a wiper motor replacement. I am leaving in 4 days for vacation and at this point I have no idea if my car will even be back to me. This is the worst experience I've ever had with vehicle repairs. This is by far the WORST dealership I have ever been to! I will never return and after reading several other reviews, apparently I'm not the only one. Long story short, my 2014 Ford Escape Titanium Edition (1.6CL) has been having coolant leak issues since I bought it in February. I've been told to take it to the dealership, due to a recall. I called this dealership months ago, and the lady who set up my appt ran my VIN number, confirmed there was a recall for this same issue, said my car has actually even been repaired once before for this same issue, and an appt was made. First available was months away, and they even called and rescheduled a couple days before, so I had to wait an additional week and a half. But that's not why I'm leaving this review. The woman who set this appt up informed me they would run a diagnostics when they first got the car, to ensure it is the same (gasket, I believe?) that's causing the leak. If so, it would take about three days to repair and all costs would be covered. If not, I would NOT incur any costs, unless first informed. Not only are they RUDE and unprofessional - Tiffany, the receptionist, and Jason, the manager - but they're now saying it's NOT covered under any recall. And are even charging me over a hundred dollars just for the diagnostics to be ran. Which I was specifically told I would NOT be charged for. Since they've been so kind as to waste all this time for nothing, I am on my way to take care of it in person! They either will give me my car without charging me the diagnostics, as they stated previously when this was set up, or I will raise hell in front of every single customer in that place! And I will be on the phone first thing in the morning filing a complaint with corporate and anywhere else I can possible! This place is an absolute joke read more

Never, ever, EVER go to this Ford dealer. I've had wonderful experiences with the Exxon mechanic shop at the corner of Long Shauls and Hendersonville. Go there. Go anywhere else. But never go to AVL Ford. I literally cannot say enough horrible things about this dealership. I could not have had a worse experience from start to finish. Horrendous customer service. They lie and cheat you. Pick and choose what work gets done on your car, even when you're scheduled for certain things, they'll simply only do half of it. They treat you like an inconvenience. They never call or email you back when they say they will. They take down copious amounts of notes and then lose them or fail to log them, so that you arrive for your appointment and they have no idea why you're there. They take forever to do the work. They tell you that a shuttle has been scheduled in advance to bring you back to work, but that isn't true. You wind up being left stranded for hours waiting for the driver. I've lost hours of paid work as a result. But the worst part is they ignore issues on your car. Something they ignored when they replaced my tires turned out to be a major issue for me later. They acknowledged fault and swore they would work on my car for free. Same issues every step of the way and even then, they only did about a third of the work they were supposed to do. They replaced 3/5 lug nuts on one wheel, swearing the other two were fine. Except when I tested them with my Ford-issued lug wrench, the two they ignored were so swollen I couldn't even get the wrench on. They told me it was fine, and in their opinion they didn't owe me anything. I explained that I literally couldn't change a flat like this and that their own mechanics and a third part told me the lugs were not usable in this condition (this was the bulk of the problem in the first place). They actually made me pay for the other two lugs, even though it was part of what they originally promised me. Then, they told me they didn't inspect my one wheel, which I had specifically asked them to do. When I pressed them, they magically swore they did the work. It became a huge back and forth where no one was giving me a straight answer. They were all whispering together but not one person told me the same thing twice. When I went to checkout, they had purposefully not given my paperwork to the cashier. The cashier was like, "This is not how we do things, someone broke protocol." So SHE came out and said, "Where are this woman's keys and paperwork?" And she was told there is no paperwork and her keys are in the car. The cashier then replied, "That's not how this works. The keys are tagged and go with the paperwork to ensure everything is accurate." Well, I demanded they print the paperwork and when they eventually did, the work they claimed to have done on my wheel was not listed on there. So now I have to pay another mechanic to take the wheel off my car and inspect it, because I have ZERO reason to trust that they actually did what they claimed. What kind of creeps go out of their way to hide what they did and didn't do on your vehicle? And when you start to defend yourself, they act like you're the worst customer they've ever met. Even saying things like "What's it gonna take to get you to leave, because I'm done with this conversation?" Or "Why do you think you're entitled to free stuff that we don't owe you?" And when I said, "I didn't ask for these free services, you promised them to be because you screwed up so bad the last time," the response is basically, "Then be grateful we did any of it, even if it was not the work you needed done." Also, if this is an important issue to you: Not a single person in the sales department wears a mask. The shuttle driver wears it below his nose, as did the cashier. I couldn't wait outside for the shuttle because it was literally below freezing, so I had to stay inside and avoid everything who was walking by. read more

I had no choice except o leave it there but they have not contacted me for 2 days. I cannot reach anyone by phone and voicemails go unanswered. I cannot reach the service manager or the General Manager either. All I ask for is punctual, quality service and I can't get either here. I don't have any options remaining, but your choice to shop for your new car and seek service elsewhere will be the difference that forces change at this dealership. It may also very well save you a world of heartache. I ask you to please pay attention to this review. My personal experience with Asheville Ford has been nothing short of a nightmare. I took my 2016 Mustang in for $2400 worth of service mid-August. Between now and then I had some major health problems requiring open heart surgery and had to conduct an emergency move in that same time. Due to a mix up with parts and several delays the car was not ready until mid-late September. As you can imagine given my life circumstances I was suddenly unable to pay my bill in full when the car was ready, but agreed with a member of their service department to resolve the balance within the next 4 weeks. I always kept an open line of communication which was rarely reciprocated. To my knowledge all was okay. One week after the agreement I started getting urgent calls from Asheville Ford. I called back to check-in and am connected with Grant/Gram (I apologize for the confusion with the name) who basically stated that any prior agreement regarding resolving the balance was not valid and immediate payment in full was required to resolve the balance or they would begin charging a $35 per day storage fee or contact the state of NC to take possession of my car. He was rude, unprofessional and at times insulting. No degree of politeness, nor apology would suffice. I lost my temper and chose to end the conversation as it was entirely unproductive and demeaning. Several calls to resolve the matter over the next few days went unreturned. After finally connecting with a polite and caring member of the service team named Megan I was, what I thought at the time, able to reach an agreement to pay off the bill as originally agreed plus pay a $30 per day storage fee. Given my situation a very hefty sum, but reliable transportation is very important to me right now given all the life issues. Yesterday I was notified by the company that held the loan on my car that they would be repossessing it. This was odd considering my loan was pay current. I contacted them only to find out that Asheville Ford had called them to demand they pickup my car and pay the repair fee. Today I lost my car because of Asheville Ford and given the mounting fees and my major health concerns I have decided to give up. I have had the support of an amazing and loving group of friends and family who have all tried to help with this situation, but ultimately Asheville Ford simply did not care. I agree that the repair bill should have been paid in full at the time of service, but given the extenuating circumstances had hoped for some degree of empathy or compassion. Asheville Ford offered none of this. I believe how you treat your customers, even those who may have run into difficult circumstances, speaks greatly to your character along with the type of relationship you can expect to have with your dealer in the future. She answered all my questions, so I decided that it was worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to Asheville to see the truck. I made an appointment, gave her all my information, name phone number, the lot. Even hold her I was coming from over a hour way. "Not a problem sir. We will have the truck up front waiting for you" Once at the dealership I found out that the person I had spoken to on the phone was a internet sales person. And I had to now speak to a salesman. Meet the salesman, first thing he had to do was to get my information- the same info I had given person on phone.... fair enough. NOW let's look at the truck...... off he goes to find truck. 15 minutes later he returns with no truck... can't find it. But don't worry his manager was going to find it for me. After waiting for almost 40 minutes the salesman returns to tell the truck has been sent out for repairs and is not on site! The only thing he could do was to call me in the up coming days when he knew it was back.... Salesman was clueless. Internet lady needs to actually get out from behind screen to confirm things. Management needs to be overhauled along with the whole sales format. Needless to say I left the dealership with no truck and my cash.... And yes CASH. I had been thinking about replacing my vehicle soon and considered Asheville Ford but changed my mind based upon my own experience and 3 different friends who all had negative experiences with the dealership. (Note: I do not have any friends who had positive experiences at AVL Ford). First, when I had my work vehicle I was required to have it serviced at the dealership. The wait times were beyond unreasonable and on 1 occasion they failed to successfully remedy a problem, causing me to make another inconvenient trip (resulting in loss of time). Second, one of my friends was told that he needed more frequent oil changes than what he later learned was the manufacturer's recommendation. Translation: scam. Third, a different friend purchased a very expensive warranty and needed to use it but was told that it didn't qualify, despite the qualifying fine print. Translation: scam. Finally, yet another friend has taken his brand-new vehicle in for service on multiple occasions and has received nothing but continued mechanical problems and unprofessional service.
