Our first experience! We ordered Chashu Ramen for delivery and it was excellent. Soup was in a separate container ready to be poured over noodles, pork and vegetables. The broth was rich, chashu pieces were thick with the right amount of fat and the hard boiled egg was perfect. If it's this good delivered, it has to be better at the restaurant. I recently visited Haru Ramen and had a pretty solid experience. The food was just as good as I remembered from my previous visits. The place wasn't very busy, which meant our meals arrived quickly, and I appreciated the calm atmosphere, it's clean and comfortable, making it a nice spot to enjoy a meal. However, I didn't give it five stars because we had some hiccups with the wait staff. There were a few communication issues at our table. For example, when we asked for lemons for our water, we ended up with lemonade instead. And when our crunch rolls arrived, we requested some appetizer plates to avoid any mess, but we only got a single soy sauce dish. It was a bit frustrating, but overall, the food still made up for it. Lovely decor, friendly staff, and delicious food! This small, but lovely restaurant is somewhat hidden in the back corner of a strip center, so it can be hard to see. But it is worth seeking out. Service is friendly and helpful. There is traditional Japanese seating at the back and Americanized seating at the front. Today I tried the Haru's Tonkatsu Black, which is a spicy Ramen with black garlic. I added spinach to it as well as hot chili oil. It was delicious. I also ate an order of gyoza and took home a mini bowl of chicken Karaage over rice. They serve hot tea, sake, and some other beers and drink drinks, but no iced tea - that is the only thing I would wish for at this lovely restaurant! read more

Came in with some friends for ramen since it was chilly out. I ordered the miso tontoksu and everyone else ordered the black garlic. Mine was good. It was above average for the area. Service was good and the place sparse but clean. My friend found a long hair in his soup so that sucked but he found it towards the end of his meal so it was what it was. read more

We have been to the Springs a few times before, but never have tried any Ramen restaurants. Taking my youngest son (21), Ramen is his favorite. I called earlier today to see if they have any broths that have no soy. Not only did the lady on the phone not understand my question but when she seemed she finally did, she said she "thought" their pork broth was soy free!! (yes I have found amazing Ramen places that do have a soy free broth. After getting off pikes peak this evening, we came to Hara Ramen to see and they indeed did NOT have a soy free Ramen. The waitress was amazing and came back to the table With a couple choices. My food was bland but I think it would have been better if I was able to have the sauce on mine. My son and husband said it was not the best but not the worst but still good enough to have again if we didn't find something where I could eat. I got the fried chicken rice bowl with no sauce and no lettuce, my husband and son got the Pork Tankotsu. read more

Staff was friendly and fast! At our request, we were seated at the horigotatsu, which was very comfortable. We came in during the early afternoon, so the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. A couple of notes on the appetizers: The karaage was tasty, but the large pieces made it difficult to share--cutting them into smaller sizes and providing plates would make it much easier for groups. The calamari had great flavor, though I'd love to see it served with tentacles included, not just rings. We also tried both the spicy and regular teriyaki chicken udon--beautifully presented, super flavorful, and very filling. Very disappointed. Heard this was the most authentic in town and from the description of menu, it seemed to be. I just visited for the (first) time: ordered chicken karaage, small ("kids") pork broth ramen, rice, and a Sapporo, totaling over $25.00 plus tip. I told the manager (?) I was looking forward to eating there as I heard it was the best in town. 1. I wanted to test the pork broth ramen before ordering the full size; 2. If I liked it, I would have returned, ordered the full size ramen for myself and brought my husband, who would have ordered the calamari tempura and the small pork ramen (as he does not care for several of the toppings on the large, having limited experience/interest in Japanese cuisine) along with other appetizers. The manager would not let me order the small ramen, although I ordered several other items to make a full meal. I reiterated that I heard how good Haru was and I looked forward to their food. They refused my order and lost this prospective new customer and possible referrals. Very shortsighted on their part. I miss and will continue to search elsewhere for authentic Japanese food and culture. read more

After a long fun day exploring Boulder, we drove home and we're starving. We all really wanted ramen so after yelping, we found this place and based off the reviews, headed here. The place was really busy, great sign of course. We were still able to be sat right away to our relief. We ordered some ramen, a sushi roll and the karaang bowl. Everything was delicious, but for everyone the ramen was the star here with the sushi a close second for everyone. The ramen (tonkatsu) was so flavorful, the pork belly was so soft. Oh man and the egg was perfect. The corn added some natural sweetness that truly rounded out the bowl so nicely. My husband said the spicy tonkatsu was perfect. I hate leaving bad reviews for small establishments but this felt necessary. The ramen came with more oil than broth. I scooped it off the top and ladled it into the sauce cups they gave us. It filled both almost entirely. I asked if this was normal and was told by one employee that it was. I understand that ramen is a heavy dish but this was just insane. Another server came to see what the problem was and told us he'd see what he can do. He came back and told us that the owner wasn't going to do anything and he was very sorry and to not leave him a tip. That's ultimately what drove me to leave this review. That's just terrible management and not taking care of your employees. Do better Haru ramen. We will not be back. The posted picture was as much of the meal as I ate. You can see the two pieces of chashu are also very different, I'd call neither chashu. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

This Ramen restaurant just opened three weeks ago. It replaced a sushi restaurant that really had bad. When you first walk into the restaurant it is all new decor. Very warming and inviting. The menu offers Ramen, sushi and a great kids menu. I had the spicy Ramen combo. The combo was huge! The combo I ordered included three potstickers as an appetizer a spicy tuna roll and then a generous portion of spicy Ramen. The staff is very inviting. The potstickers had great flavor. The spicy tuna roll was fresh and generous. The main course: the spicy Ramen was unbelievable! The broth had a deep spicy type flavor. Nice helpings of pork, Ramen noodles, onions and mushrooms. I wound up taking half of my dinner home because the portions were generous. This new restaurant also offers all you can eat Ramen as well as all you can eat sushi. We both ordered the miso ramen, had fried gyoza, a sushi roll and the bao buns. We both were happy with the flavors. This is the first ramen place we've tried since moving here and I'm a big ramen eater. I'm very picky. But since we're here, landlocked, and not surrounded by an Asian community, considering these things, the food was good. It is pricey and a little ridiculous how much we spent. Even in Hawaii our total would not have been that high with authentic Japanese food/ramen that never disappoints. We'll try other places to compare but we would go back. Great decor, lots of seating, kind staff, little to no wait time despite getting pretty packed during lunch. According to my boyfriend, the sushi was amazing (I don't eat seafood) and we just moved from Santa Barbara, CA so that's really saying something. The karaage bowl was yummy - kind of tasted like a McChicken weirdly enough? But not in a bad way. The spicy miso tonkatsu ramen was pretty good, I'm not the biggest fan of tonkatsu so that's the only reason why I didn't like it as much. I wish there was a spicy miso option without tonkatsu or maybe a tantanmen option. Can't seem to find it anywhere in the Springs unfortunately. But the chasu in the ramen... On another level. It was SO tasty, I was shocked. I will definitely be going back and ordering a bowl of that. read more

Had the pleasure to take my wife here last weekend. Service was perfect, and quick. Ambiance was ok. The food is what I want to talk about. We had 3 sushi rolls between us which were fresh and perfect. My wife has a hot chicken ramen bowl and I had a fried chicken bowl over rice and veggies. I thought mine was spot on and very good, but then I got to try my wife's!!! Mine was bottom of the menu compared to hers. It was so savory and perfect amount of spice on the back end of the bite!!
