I pass this brewery daily on my commute to work. I finally got to visit yesterday with some friends and our experience did not disappoint! We ordered pizza,apps, and a variety of drinks. My personal favorite was the strawberry seltzer. When I first entered, there was tons of families and limited seating, or so I thought. Then I realized they have even more seating towards the back, like you are headed to the restrooms. Just follow "The Greenhouse" signage. In the Greenhouse they had live music! Massive parking lot so no shortage of parking. You order inside at the front. They have wine, beer and seltzer. They have decent food (large pizza is $16 small is $10). They also have food trucks. 3.5/5 Multiple visits, 2022 to present. We stumbled upon this place on one of explorations of the western portion of northern Virginia. After that we decided to stop in. The beer is good, if not standout in a very crowded market. The greater attraction is the beautiful surroundings and nice open spaces. They have a good sized taproom but on busier days you'll have to take advantage of the expansive outdoor space. That's not a problem as it's both abundant and nice but if the weather isn't good you might be a bit tighter. read more

I stopped in at Harvest Gap Brewery for an ale tasting on a Sunday afternoon. Probably a mistake to come at this time - there was a private event going on in the large backroom area - and the front area was packed to the gills seating-wise. There was a musician performing for the crowd - and they had the volume cranked so loud it was unpleasant. I had to almost shout my beer order at the counter to the order takers - it was so loud. And when the musician took a break - the music played over the speaker system was cranked just as loud. Not sure why it needs to be so loud. There was plenty of seating outside - no one was sitting outside - and with good reason - it was cold and windy outside - to cold and windy to enjoy my tasting flight. So I found a space at a large table with my back to the musician - the only space available inside. I sampled eight beers in all - two tasting flights of four beers apiece. I found one beer that I liked - the "Holler House IPA." The rest of the beers I tasted did not jive with my palate. I did not stay long due to how frickin' loud it was. When I was closing my tab - I asked the guy at the counter when was a good time to come in when it would not be so loud. He acknowledged that it was very loud - and that Thursdays or Fridays would be a better time to visit without getting one's ears blown out (my words). #HarvestGapBrewery read more

Had such a great afternoon here yesterday! The craft beers were delicious, and there were so many options! Tons of seating and lots of things to do! We played corn hole, explored the corn maze, and played some Uno. We also got some wings, chicken quesadillas, potato wedges, and pizza. Typical bar food, but it hit the spot! Nice staff too! Food was pretty mid here. My husband got a burger and barely finished it. For the price he expected more than a frozen patty. I got the Apple Brie and chicken sandwich. It was ok but the chicken was luke warm and tough so assuming also frozen. Overall disappointing food but the beer was ok. read more

What a cool spot! We just happened to be driving by and thought it looked cool so we pulled in, and we were so happy that we did! We got a flight of beer for $12 and we got to pick any that we wanted. They have a range of beers and ciders. The bartender in the greenhouse was really nice and recommended her favorite beers. Their food menu looked amazing, prices weren't crazy. They have a nice indoor area to sit, but we sat outside and they had a live band. The band was really good and people were dancing. They also had a number of picnic tables out as well. Ample seating and ample parking! We will be back. read more

Located in between Purcellville, Lovettsville and Hillsboro, this is a great brewery stop. They have a decent size indoor dining area and lots of space outside, including tables with umbrellas. They even have some games and slides outside for the kids. You order inside for both food and drinks. They have a decent size menu of sandwiches and flatbreads pita done appetizers. The roast beef panini was actually quite good. The drinks are where they shine though. The stout was pretty good, but the ciders were excellent- especially the pear cider. This brewery has got to have one of the best views around! Once you pay a visit, it's clear why it's called "Harvest Gap". The outdoor seating in the back of the brewery looks out to beautiful mountains and farmland. There is plenty of outdoor seating for you to safely stretch out. There's a covered section to get out of the sun and picnic tables that also have individual umbrellas. They also have a fire pit which I'm sure is great for chillier nights. The bartender was very kind and recommended a flight since I was having trouble deciding. It was a good chance to get a taste of everything. They had a lot of unique flavors including some ciders and some sours with interesting fruit combinations. They even have hard seltzer which was a nice surprise! I enjoyed all but one of the choices I picked for my flight. The one I did not enjoy was a Pilsner mainly because I found it to be a little too hoppy for my taste. That one was a wild card choice for me so I'm not surprised I liked the sweeter choices more. Overall, I really enjoyed the service, the atmosphere, and the prices weren't bad either! I loved the beer but wasn't crazy about the pizza, mainly because the crust reminded me a bit of frozen pizza. It's nice that they give you a little beeper that goes off when your pizza is ready so you can enjoy your time instead of loitering around the food pickup area. Close to the road so easy to spot, this place has decent parking and lots of tables inside and out. When we visited there were about 16 beers with almost every kind represented. Brown ale and Hefeweizen were decent. Panini Reuben and boneless wings did the job and I sit here in the warm April sun listening to country music and looking out over the young wheat field. A beautiful venue with a gorgeous view, sounds perfect for a brewery! Stopped here with two friends and my two dogs, sat outside under the shaded covering which was a necessity on a sunny summer day when the dogs couldn't sit inside. I know it is summer, but I'd been hoping for a darker beer... no luck, I tried the red ale and it was pretty good. I think I ended up getting two. The consistency/color of each pour was very different, which didn't really bother me but was interesting to note. I even clarified with the bartenders that I got the right beer, and they confirmed that this happens sometimes. Still yummy! The bartenders were great and fun to talk to. There was a food truck outside, but also food you could order inside. We all contemplated sharing something, but each of us really ended up wanting a panini (and a different panini at that). We each ordered our panini, I got the turkey panini and it was delicious! Had too much sauce (mustard and mayo), so next time I would definitely ask for light sauce, but I'd order it again! Everyone was very satisfied with their sandwiches. Next time I'm out that way, I'd definitely visit again. read more

It was opening weekend and busy - but there was space outside so I didn't feel crowded. The food options were good; she got the grilled cheese and I got a panini. I tried one of their seltzers and a seasonal beer (I can't remember the name). The husband was pleased with their IPA. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We loved the relaxed atmosphere too. My boyfriend had the "best light beer he's ever had" here - Stud Light. It's too bad they don't can so we weren't able to take it on a plane back home with us! While visiting some of wedding venues with my fiancé, we decided to check out Harvest Gap simply based on its location to where we were. It's now on my list of favorite places and for good reason. I had a pint of the 52 Dakota DIPA, and the Holler House IPA. The Dakota is exactly as described and was freakin delicious. The Holler House was a solid tasty IPA and I picked up a four-pack so I could enjoy it at home. Food-wise, we were very very impressed with what we ordered. We got a 16" pepperoni pizza and the nacho platter. The nachos didn't disappoint! From their site (Nacho Platter description): "Made with Texas Trey's kettle style tortilla chips, Empty Bowl queso, diced grilled chicken, drizzled with Mexican Crema and topped with pico de Gallo, green onions, jalepeno peppers, and Texas Trey's Wakamole!" They were damn good and the pizza was awesome. We had friendly/fast service, live music and great food. What more can you ask for? read more

The indoor seating area is large enough to seat everyone while maintaining a safe distance from each other. During warmer months is when this place really shines, the outdoor patio and picnic tables are spread-out all across the property. Most weekend they have very good live music on the patio. My neighbors, friends and I come here often. I love the hard seltzers and the beautiful view. But I guess Harvest Gap likes wasting money on plastic cups and polluting the ocean and landfills with TONS of plastic each and every day. They don't even have any recycling bins in this place. Why? Because the owners don't want to spend the money, I guess, even though they are clearly doing well financially. If the owners are worried about people walking off with reusable cups or glass, why not just require a $1 deposit so people don't take them? Or if they do, I'm sure the reusable cups don't cost more than $1. It's 2024. Wake up and look around. CARE. read more
