Here we go. Multi-trip vet here. Inside is tight but nice and gives you a semi-casual / semi-fancy vibe in the room. The live music that is there when we have to listen is a really nice touch. Parking is limited right around the building itself, but there is plenty behind it - just keep driving a few more feet, and you'll see it. The service has been generally great, but our last trip was a bit of a miss - I suppose the difference between brunch/lunch and dinner service. I believe part of the reason was that our 2.5 YO kiddo was ruining the vibe for couples (and the staff as well). If you don't want kids there, then say so. And even if you didn't say it with your words, your actions did. Part of this showed up when we were trying to get a high chair for what felt like 5 minutes - I could see i,t and they went to seat others and had us wait...which created squirming and an unhappy kiddo. After this point, all of the ordering we tried to do in this same sitting was met with a mostly poor attitude and delays from not coming over. The food was delayed and was cold. Again, not going to fight for it and have to wait longer with a little with us. We've not been back since this, and I'm unsure we will try again with a kid. Now that this is out of the way, the dinner experience is night and day different - great service, food, and drinks with little to no issues. So, TL;DR - dinner experience 5/5, lunch/brunch experience 3/5, taking the average of 4 for a 4/5. read more

Everything at Harvest is done beautifully! It's been a few weeks since my visit there, but I can honestly say I can still remember the quality in everything from Service, to Food, to ambience. Our server did an incredible job with recommendations, menu descriptions, and ensuring we were taken care of throughout our dining experience. I had a group of business associates with me, and everyone was very pleased with their meals and specialty drinks. Just as we were leaving, they were beginning live music, which if that is something you like, it is not too overwhelmingly loud, so that was highly appreciated! Had a girls dinner on a Thursday night. The drinks were excellent. They had a live jazz band that was fabulous and totally matched the climate. The server recommendations were spot on. A friend and I shared a stroganoff special that reminded me of my grandmother's. Rude, rude, rude. I haven't tried the food yet, but have wanted to, and wanted to go see someone we know perform. I got a call the day after making our reservations stating that our table would not be available until after they close. So in other words, no table. I tried to ask if bar seating was available since I don't know the layout, and before I got the sentence out, I was interrupted with a very irritated, "I can't help it if I don't have a table." First of all that is not what I was going to ask, I was simply looking for another solution. I was able to make a reservation for a bigger party and the tables were ready for us when we arrived. Easy parking as well. I couldn't decide on what to get but we started with deviled eggs. I got crab cake, shared the fish special with my friend, and also ordered the Brussels. The Brussels was done in a soy sauce and they are delicious. I liked the crispy bacon on top of the deviled egg. Good flavor that. The crab cake was also delicious. everyone I was with loved their food. Wow. I'm still reeling from our experience here on Saturday night. since the Bearden location is practically in our neighborhood, we dine here regularly. We were able to secure a dinner reservation for our large party of 11 earlier in the evening but by the end, decided we will never return. Everything started out fine. Our server was attentive and the drinks were all very good. We tried the seasonal fried green tomato small plate and it was tasty. Got a Caesar salad which was your typical starter salad. Tried the Harvest salad with goat cheese and it was excellent. Large portion and the goat cheese is a nice pairing with the almonds. Once our entrées began to arrive, we were reprimanded for being too loud. The manager informed us that he had had some complaints about our table. Keep in mind it is early in the night, we are frequent professional customers in the community, we hadn't been overserved, we were not crude or cussing. We were just a group who hadn't seen each other in awhile and our voices carried. If the acoustics in the restaurant couldn't accommodate this size of party, we should have been seated on the patio. The people making the complaint ended up leaving well before we were finished. When we told the manager that we would hurry to leave and not be back, he said "I think our customers would be happy about that." As for the food, the filet was what I should have ordered - it was basic but delicious. I mistakenly got the Wagyu flank steak and it was one of the worst meals I've had in Knoxville. The only positive thing was the asparagus on the side. Was very disappointed by the food and the way we were treated. The manager will be getting his wish that none of us will return and spend over $1000 again. read more

Went here this evening for a date night. Made reservations through Resy, came in and were greeted nicely by the host. We were sat immediately. Greeted fairly promptly by our server with a carafe of water. Our server never returned. My girlfriend and I made a game of seeing if we could catch his (or anyone's) eye. No luck. I'm in the industry (she is as well) and it seemed he had maybe one other table. This place was not full. That one table looked like they got great service though! At the thirty minute mark we called it, finished our carafe of water, and left. No one noticed. We were laughing at this point -- I'm over 6.5 feet tall and very noticeable. We went to Nama about 100 yards away and our server has been to the table twice, and we have ordered a bottle of wine to celebrate getting to eat soon! read more

This was our 3rd visit this year to Harvest, our prior visits were on August 29th and September 4th. On those visits we had good service and good food. Unfortunately it only takes one very poor experience to ensure you never return. On our visit this evening we had extremely poor service from our server. We never received our bread, our soup was lukewarm and our steaks were undercooked. The server never came back to check on us once we had our food...which we did not fully eat. Once we were able to get the managers attention he was also rude. We let him know our previous experiences were good but this one was lacking. Not only did he not handle the situation appropriately (he comp'd our soup and gave us a $20 gift card) he implied this was our first time to Harvest (we have pics from our prior meals here) and that we were lying about having been her previously. Came here for our anniversary on Cinco de Mayo. Best day to eat out anywhere besides Mexican. We are outside on the nice patio. I had the rose and my boyfriend got a bottle of red wine. They have a deal where you can choose red or white and it cost maybe $18 but they choose the bottle. Pretty good deal if you aren't a picky wine drinker. I ordered the fish. It was good but nothing special. The bed of rice it was in was a little spicy and reminds me of a authentic Mexican rice. My boyfriend had the ribeye and he loved it. We finished with my favorite part of the meal the caramel cake. Highly recommend. So sweet and soft with the perfect amount of caramel icing. read more

Always one of my Knoxville Favorites ... today I stopped in and the had a special soft shell crab in a tomato purée. They always have a catch of the day so be sure to ask One of the things I love about this restaurant is they always have some kind of daily special and their menu staples are always a crowd favorite! From outstanding signature cocktails like: Hibiscus pomegranate cosmopolitan for my vodka lovers with a sweet aftertaste. Parish sparkler if you like something on the lighter side and are a fan of sparkling wine and lemon. Blood orange mule for a different twist on a traditional mule made with grapefruit bitters, blood orange purée a hint of lime and grapefruit for a fresh citrus twist. Prohibition old fashion for a heartier dark Lacore with hints of clove not Megan blackcurrant is A crowd favorite. Some of my favorite small plates: The crispy pork bellies in the Highland & Menlo caviar is a sure favorite of mine. If you're vegan or vegetarian their cauliflower clean wa bowl is a great option and if you just need something hearty there's smoked prime rib stroganoff is sure to send you home for a nap. Overall again this is one of my Knoxville favorites great for happy hour a sure fire hit for a working lunch meeting and definitely great for date night. read more

I really enjoyed having dinner at Harvest. On a Friday night a friend of mine and I stopped by without a reservation around 8:30 p.m., we were greeted by a really nice hostess and within 10 minutes seated at the table. The atmosphere reminded me of a cozy inn where the lighting is slightly dim, warm and comfortable. Our waiter was at the table within a few minutes taking our drink and food order. I ordered a martini from their cocktail menu which included a mix of vodka, Chambord, rose water and some lemon. If you are looking for a drink that is not sweet, this is your choice. It wasn't too strong, and was exactly what I was looking for. I had dinner several hours before, so the only thing I ordered was a bowl of lobster bisque soup. I did expect it to be a bit larger in size, but the soup itself was quite delicious. A friend of mine had beef stroganoff and enjoyed it as well. The presentation was carefully crafted, yet food retained homemade flavor. Our waiter checked in on us several times to make sure we didn't need anything; our water was refilled regularly. While drinks and food were pricey, I felt that the experience was worth it. It's a great place for a date night or a quick stop for dinner. It's classy, but at the same time not too upscale that you feel like you need to dress up. To me, it is a perfect combination and I will be back. read more

This is a lovely restaurant as long as you don't outstay your welcome. The food was excellent and our server was attentive. The ambiance is warm, but the restaurant is small, and thus the management are pretty rigid about a two-hour time limit on tables--even if no one is waiting and there are tables to spare. My colleague and I went there for a dinner meeting and were essentially refused service after two hours. I understand the need to keep diners moving along is the space is small, but they should advertise a two-hour limit on the dining experience to spare diners the embarrassment of essentially being asked to leave after spending almost $200 for a dinner for two. My colleague and I left and went to another restaurant nearby, and they were fantastic. We'll be taking all of our business meals there going forward. read more

I'm surprised that I haven't been here before since the location is so close to EVERYTHING! Plus it's right next to Nama and that is a very hot spot. I recommend Harvest if you are a fan of elegant seafood and steak. The energy is very classy, but also feels kind of homey at the same time. The live Jazz definitely helped and I'm not sure when they play, but we were there on a Tuesday night. I started the night with some drinks, of course. The Last Word is a very chartreuse heavy cocktail that is very strong and alcohol forward. South Beach was my personal favorite. It gives off a very refreshing pink lemonade flavor, that isn't very special but very easy to order multiple of. For an appetizer, we got the charcuterie & fromage which was very well place and more than enough for 3 hungry guys. Nice selection of cheese and meats. Nothing special, but nice nonetheless. For the entree, I had the 16 oz Ribeye and it was huge. Perfectly cooked to my preference for such a large slab of meat and the butter than they had over it just kept it moist while also providing a pleasant crust for texture. It came with very well prepared shiitake mushrooms and a loaded baked potato. For dessert, we had the caramel cake that gives off a dulce de leche vibe with a lot of textures mixed in to make it interesting. This place isn't the cheapest, but the energy is immaculate like a speakeasy. I definitely recommend dining around sunset to get a very nice glow ambience with soft jazz playing throughout the restaurant. The service was also very fast and everyone seems to work together. Stopped in here for drinks and apps on a Saturday night and there were tables available for walk-ins which was really nice. They also had room at their very nice bar. The atmosphere is really nice and they took a smallish space and did a lot with it. We got the charcuterie board which was excellent and their cheapest bottle of chardonnay which was nice and crisp. I feel the place is a bit pricy for what you get as the bill was around $70 before tip for just those two things. Harvest was recommended to us by a friend who works around the corner from the restaurant. We had high expectations based on her comments. The menu is varied and offers an interesting variety. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed by our meal. One of the specials was shrimp over cavatappi with a vodka cream sauce. I'm Italian so my expectations might be high, but this dish was ok-ish at best. The sauce was unlike any vodka sauce I've ever had, the predominant seasoning was pepper, and too much of it. Our other dish was the shaved prime rib stroganoff. Again, it seemed poorly seasoned, no real idea what it wanted to be. The wine list is very long, but we didn't recognize much on the list. Also, the wine prices are VERY high. Considering the wine list and expensive entrees, I would look elsewhere. There are better offerings at more a attractive price point in town. read more

Even though we had made reservations the day before, they did not have a table for us. Their system overbooked for the evening. We had to sit at the bar. They did give us a free round of drinks and dessert. We were told that they had to honor the reservation coming after us and not ours. I went to the Downtown Knoxville location. The food was great! 5 stars for having a good NA IPA (Lagunitas)! Started with oysters, deviled eggs and beet salad. Ended with pumpkin cheesecake. Had the scallop special and got to try the stroganoff special and the filet-all delicious even with my stepmom wanting it cooked medium and I'm a medium rare type. Forgot to take photos but the place was great. Our server, forgive me I don't know his name, but he looks about fresh out of high school, was FREAKIN' FANTASTIC! Just a quick note about a lovely little place outside of Knoxville! We are here on Sunday night and (when every place is an hour wait) we were seated immediately. With Top shelf bar and a full cellar of wines we ordered drinks. I had a beautiful Malbec from Argentina and my spouse a Grey Goose. For dinner we share a charcuterie board with three tasty cheeses ,three types of salami, shortbread cheese bread, pickled beets, and for a little bit of sweet a few cookies. Recently ate on the patio on a very sweaty Saturday afternoon. Servers were attentive and the music was nice. Seafood tower was delicious, but I wouldn't really call if a seafood tower. It was more like delicious tomato, onion, basil chopped romaine salad with a yummy chipotle vinaigrette. Yes, there was some crab on top and there were a few small shrimp present, but calling it a seafood tower is a stretch. The beet salad was amazing. The truffle fries were amazing. Tuna Crudo was beautiful, but have no idea what flavor profile the chef was attempting. Literally tasted like tuna, grapefruit and olive oil. Something was amiss. Ok, imagine a family visiting and not knowing where to eat. Been here 2 days and everyplace was horrible. We have were driving for hours and it was lunch time. We come up to the Harvest and say why not. We walk in and the place is very clean and looks like a niche style restaurant. We were sat quickly and then the funniest thing happened. Jack Black took our orders. Lol No not really him, but the waiter not only sounded exactly like him, but also resembled him. I asked him if he knew that he looked like....
