I was recommended this shop by a co worker of mine which was great considering I just moved out here and didn't know a good mechanic yet and I called and set up a date to go and get my Tie rods looked at and serviced if necessary as I was told by someone else they might be worn and Mike was super responsive and very helpful. There turned out to be nothing wrong which was great! Mike even added air in my tires without me asking him too which was very considerate. Although I was not charged for any services because nothing was done, I was told by my co worker he is very reasonably priced. I will be using this as my auto repair shop from here on out. read more

I can't describe how great these guys are. Friendly, honest, fast, over the top wonderful. I've had a couple different services here and they are nothing but sweet and wonderful and communicative. Sometimes I hate to pull this card, but as a woman, sometimes going to a mechanic can feel very frustrating. Talked down to, sold things I don't need, etc. That never is the feeling here. My girlfriend and i have been going to Harvey for just about every car problem we have had through two cars since we've moved to Seattle 2-3 years ago. This is a great, reliable, and honest shop! Mike is great at diagnosing your car's issues, and giving a heads up on what needs to be done, and notifying you before any work is performed to get the go ahead. I called them today to let them know about a grinding sound my car was having after hydroplaning through water at a high speed, and they had me bring the car by this evening and quickly jacked the car up, identified the problem and fixed it on the spot in less than five minutes - free of charge! Commit to building a relationship with that person, he said, and they will treat you like gold for the rest of your life. Two years before my grandfather passed, he had me drive him up the street to Harvey's Auto Service for a tune up- because the neighbors had recommended them. He was so pleased with the friendliness, professionalism, and advice, that he turned to me and said, "We are always going to bring our cars here, they are The Best." I looked at him funny and said, "That Mechanic, Mike, just told you that you don't need an oil change today. He said that your car is like new, has low mileage, and has only been driven 75 miles in the last 3 months. Unlike Michigan, where my grandfather was from, the weather in Seattle had less impact on vehicle performance, and the oil he'd just tested came out clean as a whistle. -Well, my grandfather had him change the oil anyway, and he was very pleased at the high level of service for the low price of the bill. Long story short, our family brings all of our cars here now for oil changes, tune ups, and repairs, and I will always recommend them like a surgeon. My grandfather lived here in Seattle for 25 years, and had his oil changed religiously, almost every three months. And they were the first service shop to tell him it was probably didn't need to be changed as often. I've been coming here for service since I moved to Crown hill in 07. Sad to see Tommy (previous owner) gone- but Mike C., will definitely treat you right. They vacuum out your car too for the oil change- that's kinda cool. $33 with tax isn't too bad. They are good at calling back too for any questions you might have.
