Phenomenal! I had the "oh Benny" Benedict, it was unbelievably good. You just know the ingredients are quality. The presentation was beautiful, it wasn't sloppy at all. Cozy little nook in downtown Lambertville, with homey, dinery vibes. The wife and I stopped for brunch after a visit to New Hope. Wifey had the avo Benedict (avocado in place of English muffin). She went generally nuts for the combination (good nuts). I had the titular hash house plate. Farm fresh (orange eggs!) wonderfully cooked bacon, and hash browns (spice lovers recommend, hash it for an extra $4) that had a nice kick. Coffee was not....at its best, this morning. It was actually kind of a bad experience. The waiter gave us really warm nasty tap water on a fairly hot day in a glass bottle. The wait time for food was about 15 minutes which is average. The food was kind of tasteless and bland. I will commend the fairly large portions though. The bacon bap has a paper-thin wrap you could barely taste, and the chicken/ranch/bacon combo was fairly underwhelming most likely due to the small pieces the chicken was cut into. The vibe was giving coffee shop that swerved food. The server sat us down quickly and briefly ran through the menu. I ordered a matcha drink from their "Boujie Drink" menu and unless you have a sweet tooth, you won't find this drink edible AT ALL. It tasted as if they melted match candy and it poured it over ice. It was the sweetest drink I've ever had and tasted nothing of matcha. To eat, I had their chicken and fries. It was a very decent portion. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I could say about it. The fries, although it was crunchy, were very salty. The chicken tenders were cooked nicely, but it lacked flavor. In fact, I felt like I was eating a McDonald's chicken tender meal without the crunchy breading of the tenders and their equally salty fries but at a much lower cost. My partner had their avocado benedict and again, unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The eggwhites were still runny on top which gave us the impression of an undercooked meal. The runny eggs with the fried avocado was served with nothing to soak them up with so we were "forced" to order a side of has brown. Not only that, for an additional $4, you can get it "hashed" which apparently means its mixed and chopped with bacon and other ingredients (totally overpriced and not worth the $8.) All in all, it wasn't the best place (for me) to have gone to to have brunch. There are other local spots that I've tried that were better and won't cost an arm and a leg, but it was nice to have tried it. read more

I had been looking forward to trying the hash house, but it ended up being an incredibly mediocre experience. Based on how quickly the food came out and how soft and not-hot, the food was, I don't think they're actually cooking much in the back at least not the hashbrowns which seems to be what they are supposed to be known for. Coffee was the worst I've had in Lambertville. Low quality coffee beans and over extracted. Hash bowl is priced on the menu is $16 and then they charged me $18 on the receipt with some sort of fine print apologizing about changing prices. Very bait and switch. Additionally, it's not a lot of food, it's sort of looked like the hashbrowns were decoratively scattered over the bowl to completely cover the bottom and that's it. Had to pay almost $30 for an incredibly mediocre breakfast; rather upsetting. I suggest simply walking down to Union coffee and grabbing an amazing latte and scone and taking the win for the morning (and get some great ambiance while you're at it). read more

First time in! Great atmosphere, nice decor. We ordered the basics, but at the pricepoint and style of the place we were expecting a little more than how plain the stuff was. It was almost below diner quality. The latte was meh, you're better off going to Luminary Coffee 3 minutes walk away. Service was good and the staff were friendly. Everything pictured in the photo cost $43.78. I will come back to try the more fancy stuff but if you're going for the basics, you're better off just going to a regular diner where you'll save $20. read more

Came for my sisters birthday and they offered a meal on the house for it which was great and very kind, the waitress didn't wish her a happy birthday and was hostile from the moment she came to our table. Visiting relatives in New Hope, they suggested we cross the river to eat at this relatively new restaurant. I got the tuna melt, and told the server leave off the arugula as I can not tolerate arugula. The sandwich arrives and of course it is packed with arugula. When I mention this to the server, she says, well I write it down. And then walked away. I picked every shred of the greens off the sandwich. $16 for a tuna melt, no chips, no fries, nothing else. First time to this new spot. We enjoyed the upscale contemporary decor and cheerful. Well staffed, one of the owners greeted us quickly and gave us option at waiting for a table for two or sit at the counter. We choose the counter and soon given menus and beverage selection. My wife went with the Hash Bowl which was quite tasty and first time for fried avocado. I had the special of the day omelet with burrata cheese. It was nice and a bit spicy which is to my liking. Conceptually I really liked the dish . Flavors were well defined and thoughtfully put together . Where the dish failed for me was in execution. Unfortunately it seems that all the elements were pre prepared and just waiting for assembling. I get it that restaurants prep food but to su vide eggs and have the yolks cooked for an eggs Benedict dish is not good . Legit sour dough toast comes bone dry...if you ask they'll give you a paper thimble of butter. You'd think a place called Hash House would have ketchup...again if you ask you get the half-full paper thimble. One of us got the banana pudding crepe...16 $bones will get you nondescript pudding with some banana slices inside a cold (not fresh) crepe. Coffee is above average. My husband and I were in Lambertville for an appointment and were a bit early so decided to try Hash House for br/lunch. We immediately loved the decor and vibe and I had checked the eclectic menu online so was pleased to see so many vegetarian and vegan options. The staff was pleasant and we were seated right away. We weren't super hungry as this was just killing some time so I ordered the vegan artichoke soup and my husband ordered the burrata and we split the vegan fries. Wow! My soup was delicious. The crispy artichokes were a great complement to the creamy soup. My husband was raving about the burrata although he said it could have been a tad creamier. He loved the fennel relish and I tasted one of his hash browns which was really good. The fries were cooked perfectly. There were lots of other v/vegan options (clearly marked, thank you!) we would have tried if we were hungrier and not on a schedule. We will definitely be back! read more

Our experience at this restaurant prompted me to sign up for yelp and submit a review. Everyone in our party felt taken advantage of - we were looking for a good breakfast at a fair price. This simply didn't happen - $90 for 3 is high. There were only 3-4 breakfast items which were tasty. But all priced at $16 seemed high for the area. And we were being upsold from the minute we sat down. First it was being asked to order donuts while we looked at the menu . We did agree to purchase. Then, when placing our order, we were told toast is an extra cost - first time this has ever been a way to make more money at a place for breakfast... Then, we were told the hash comes with the meal, but we could pay more for special hash. It made us feel uncomfortable and definitely not worth the money. The food was tasty, so we can't complain about that. It just wasn't a pleasant experience for our family, and we would never go back. read more

Make your coffee before you leave home or get it at one of the nearby coffee shops. The service was very good; everyone was sweet and professional. Lots of GF and vegetarian choices, which is a plus. The hash browns look charming, but they are not completely cooked. The staff sweetly went to get me a second, which was a little better, but still hard and starchy (undercooked) in the middle, and I left it on the plate. If the cook parboils and the potatoes beforehand and/or makes the cakes thinner, that will solve the problem. The eggs were clearly better than average, with beautiful orange centers, although a little small. On the whole, the meal was over-priced at $19 for 2 eggs, a couple-few slices of bacon, underdone hash browns (toast is extra), and a cup of so-so coffee. Ambience is lacking--clattery, sun glares off the tables, and tight seating; it's basically a gray flip. The clientele seems to be all out-of-towners, so if you're looking to experience Lambertville, this is not your place. read more
