We were in the middle of a move and ended up ordering DoorDash from Hash House for lunch three days in a row--which says a lot! The Hash Bowl was outstanding. The fried avocado, eggs cooked exactly as ordered, and all the delicious toppings made it an easy repeat order (yes, we ordered it all three times!). The steak sandwich with cheese and horseradish was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting shredded beef, but it came with tender chopped steak, which made it even better. The crispy chicken sandwich with peppers and burrata was also really tasty. The corned beef Reuben had great flavor, but it didn't travel quite as well as the other sandwiches, so I'd recommend enjoying that one fresh in the restaurant if possible. A special shout-out to the home fries--perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Everything arrived fresh, the portions were generous, and the food was consistently excellent. Hash House is small little breakfast and brunch spot tucked away off the beaten path from the lively walking areas of downtown Lambertville. We first heard of this place because June's had closed down in Whitehouse and their chef started doing pop-ups here. We didn't catch one of June's popups, but wanted to try them out. We started with a burrata that came with tomato and fried potato. It was quite good and a nice light starter for the day. I also ordered a hotty toddy with it. It's a drink comprised of tea, ginger syrup, and honey. Weirdly, it was much more tart than I was anticipating, but I also couldn't put my finger on what type of tea it was... perhaps black? Anyway, my entree was the Hash Bowl. I added pork to mine to get some extra protein, and am happy to report that they did not skimp on the protein. They do charge $3 or $4 extra for the added protein, but I think it's well worth it to add a meat to the dish. Its hash brown, smothered with cheese, atop egg with tomatoes and a fried avocado. 1 Star - Discriminatory Experience Toward My Service Dog My husband and I came in for brunch with my trained medical/PTSD service dog. It was over 100°F outside, and we were initially told the only place we could sit was outside because they "only allow dogs outside." When I explained that he is a service dog, not a pet, we were then told the wait for indoor seating would be over 40 minutes, despite there being open tables visible inside. The employee at the front was dismissive, had a poor attitude, and made us feel unwelcome because of my service dog. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses that are open to the public are generally required to permit trained service dogs inside with their handlers and cannot refuse access simply because they have a "dogs outside only" policy. As someone with a disability, this experience was embarrassing and disappointing. I hope management provides ADA training to its staff so future customers with disabilities are treated respectfully and in accordance with the law. We chose to spend our money elsewhere and encourage others to support businesses that welcome and accommodate people with disabilities. read more

We started with their burrata app (not pictured because we dove in right away), and then they came out with this absolute unit of a sandwich. Incredible! Wow! I rarely start a review like this but Hash House blew us all away. The ambiance, dishes, food, drinks, and service were top notch. We made a reservation for brunch for my daughter's birthday. We were greeted by a pleasant and smiling server who wished her a happy birthday. We started with coffee, the matcha frape, the iced chai, and a caramel iced coffee. All were fantastic. We ordered shrimp and grits, the Benny, Huevos rancheros, and the hash bowl. Each dish was plated beautifully and exploding with flavors. Poached eggs were cooked to perfection and all the fresh ingredients complemented each other. We kept passing our dishes around saying "try this"! "Oh, you have to try this"! We all loved our dishes as well as each others. My daughter's meal was free for her birthday and they even brought out a delectable creative dessert that was equally as amazing as the rest of the meal. This place is 20 minutes from our house but one of those special places worth a much longer trip to experience. Well done Hash House. Five stars all around. We cannot wait to return. read more

It was a homemade fried chicken sandwich with delicious, thick, cut bacon. Also, I chose to have a side salad, which was very bright with a delicious vinegar dressing. My other half opted for the chopped salad with the crispy chicken. The salad came out, looking beautiful with all of the great additives you could want a salad. The chicken were tenders that were hand, breaded, and fried and very tasty. You got a considerable amount of food for the price. It was overall a good spot to stop. Judging by the line when we left, it's also a popular spot. Definitely a repeat if in Lambertville. All and it was $71.50, which includes a gratuity. The place was A LOT smaller than I thought but it was so adorable in there with some cute decorations. Most of the tables were taken so we sat at the bar. We were served right away with tap water. I also ordered a 'Choco Taco' drink which was decent. I loved how the set up was with the liege waffle but I wish it was colder and sweeter. It was nice to try though, and I love the glass it came in. My husband ordered the 'Breakfast Burrito' for his entree with a hash brown on the side. He absolutely loved both items, especially the hash browns he said. I ordered the 'Korean BBQ Pork Bowl' with a side of the hash browns. The bowl was super flavorful as well as filling. The portions were a good size, I even took some home. What a lucky find! We were looking for a spot before we head to the airport and hit a home run eight Hash House. We walked from downtown and it felt like we were never going to find it, but so glad we did! Everything was perfect! Joe warmly greeted us then Ben the owner came over to say they had only been open for 2 weeks. It was no shock that this is his third restaurant, they clearly know what they are doing. Chloe was our waitress, she was super attentive. The food was amazing! We were super impressed with the menu, so many great options I had a High Chai which was chai tea with espresso and vanilla oat milk, so so good! For food we order the Hash bowl and "hashed it" which means they add mortadella grill onions and Calabrian chili and mix the whole hash up, it had a perfectly poached egg and the fried avocado was a thing a genius.
