    Hash Papas #2
    Serena S.

I really don't want to say this because I had 100% intentions of thinking this was the best creation ever. Even while watching them make it, I was PUMPED! The staff was friendly and chatted with us while we waited, which I appreciated. We stopped at the La Jolla Farmers Market on Sunday just for this. I ordered the beef chorizo, scrambled eggs, avocado slices, and cheddar cheese option. It was hot and crispy when we got it! Unfortunately, it just didn't taste like much. The sour cream was needed for texture- otherwise, it was dry and the potato part lacked flavor. The chorizo was good, but I don't think the individual elements were able to stand out.

#1 crispy bacon with scrambled eggs. If you enjoy a classic all American breakfast, this is your guy #2 beef chorizo with cheddar cheese. The chorizo in this was flavorful & seasoned nicely! Like all hashbrowns or potatoes, I typically cannot eat them on their own without a sauce. For these sandwiches, their sauces on the side were a must to bring them all together! I enjoyed the red salsa but they're green (jalapeño based) was good as well.

We had the Angus and sautéed Mushroom spinach feta & Mozzarella Sandwich's was good but not great, hash crust could of used some seasoning but the Avocado Salad was great

amazing!! must try if you're at little italy's farmers market. so yummy. beware the sauce is spicy

This place is overhyped and overpriced in my honest opinion. I got the chicken option (#4) and it was nothing special. The hash brown itself was dry and flavorless, the chicken was just salty -- it had no flavor other than salt -- and the garlic sauce flavor was barely there. Whenever I go to the farmers market the line for this place is always really long, and the wait is also a decent amount of time, but I'm sad to say that I don't think it's worth it.

Super unique and fast service at a crowded market. Cant really go wrong with a stuffed hasbrown!

Tried today for the first time. If you think you're going to pick up a hash brown like a hamburger it's just not going to happen but with fork in hand, you will never be able to stop until it's gone. These things are delicious and super filling. I ordered the carne asada with an avocado salad on the side and my spouse ate the chorizo.... described as spectacular.

10/10 what a delicious and awesome concept! Got the #1 and it was perfect! Visiting the family and glad we stopped to the Little Italy Farmers Market! This deliciousness consisting of hash browns, bacon, eggs and cheese was honestly the best breakfast I have had in a long time! Thanks Hash Papas and pleaseeeeeeeee come to LA !!!! Smorgasborg LA needs you !!!!!

Food truck at the market in Little Italy. Was soo fire. Service was great. Great vibes. When I was the food market I was looking for the one great foodie find. This was it! If you ever see it as a food stand, truck, or business you need to try them out! The guy who took my order was friendly and very positive with every guest! It was also fun watching how they made the stuffed hash brown! They even threw in a sample of their hot sauce which tasted great! Looks are everything when it comes to presence of food.

#2 Beef Chorizo, scrambled eggs, avocado slices, cheddar cheese

FOOD: #2 Beef Chorizo, scrambled eggs, avocado slices, cheddar cheese $13 (3.5/5) -Beef chorizo, eggs, and cheese cooked in a hash brown batter using cast iron. The hash brown was super crispy, but the small burnt edges are bitter (I did see that the workers try to cut off as most burnt pieces as possible). It was a good savory flavor, but a tad dry. The avocado helped balance everything with the addition of salsa and ketchup. SERVICE: -it took about 7 minutes to come out, even when they were super busy at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market

#2 Stuffed Hashbrown and Pineapple Juice with Mint
    Alisa B.

This is a popular vendor at Little Italy Mercato, so I thought I would give it a try. I tried the #2, which is a Stuffed Hashbrown that comes with mozzerella, chicken breast, and house garlic sauce. We waited about 10 minutes. First impressions... the hashbrown looked somewhat burnt on the edges and were charred black. After the first bite, I was shocked by how bland it was! The chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The hashbrown was also bland and not salted at all. I didn't taste any garlic sauce at all. I was surprised that I didn't like it since this place looked so popular!

#3 Cali stuffed hashbrown with Carne asada
    Bradly P.

The Brazilian guys are serving up some of the best stuffed hash browns all through out the San Diego Area! They have alot of pop up markets in the area with one of my personal favorite in Little Italy on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. They are usually located at the end of Kettner Blvd in the cul de sac. They have many options to choose from and there hot sauce is out of this world! This time I opted for the #3 which is the Cali and it was a stuffed and grilled golden brown to perfection with Carne asada and Pico and garnished with fresh parsley. The crispness of the hashbrown was very flavorful and packed with good Ole Carne asada! The meat was savory and had a nice marinate but I feel it could of been marinated longer. The hot sauce added a nice twist to it and it was the perfect treat for breakfast on a Saturday. Customer service was Second to none and watching them cook your food over flaming fire is always a plus. This place can be busy but they always deliver the best food with a smile and is a excellent addition to the Little Italy's farmers market!

Food was incredible. Will come back when I'm in town. Just expect a small wait for your food since they are that busy.

    What's the address?

They don't have a physical address. But on Sundays they are outside of Seven Seas Roasting on Fern St I think until 13:00 and they are at farmers markets.

We have 3 adults and a 2 year old. If we come on a weekday around 10, will there be a line up and adequate seating? Thanks.

I think it should be ok. They have outdoor seating and I dont recall any high chair for the kids.

You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

In this case yes the bowl was OK was but was no better than the 3 other bowl places within a mile of this location. The wait was LONG as for many of the bowl places on this street but this one was extra long as in 45 minutes to an hour wait on off hours long. And of course with all these tik tok famous places the price was inflated. Based on taste alone I could have given this place 4 starts but the extra tik tok tax(inflated price just for being TikTok trendy) and extra wait time for the exact same thing you can get anywhere else rubbed me wrong so I'm going to have to leave this 3 star right here.

This little store is inside the Bakeshop by Coco Playa so the sign is hard to spot. They sell açaí bowls (in a cup) and smoothies + Brazilian cheese bread :) The acai is smooth and creamy, and I liked how it was sweet (honey added) and didn't melt very quickly. Super tasty! They do a good job layering on the toppings and making the cup look pretty. There's an option to do half acai and half coconut sorbet; the sorbet was super sweet and packed a punch of coconut flavor-- so good and refreshing! The blueberries seemed thawed from frozen so some of them were still frosty but they were still sweet. MT really enjoyed the pistachio butter too. They did away with their Tuesday special of unlimited toppings, but now you get unlimited regular toppings everyday with regular+ sizes. Premium options (like protein powder, pistachio butter, almond butter, goji berries, etc) come with an additional cost. Definitely pricey but a special, fun, and tasty treat! We enjoyed Açaí Carioca so much we went 3 times in a week! This location has better parking (a shopping plaza lot), was less busy, friendlier service, and had a few seats outside compared to their other location. If you're craving a refreshing and somewhat healthy treat, check this place out!

It's SO good, I highly recommend the coconut sorbet to any coconut fan! The texture and flavor of real açaí here is so amazing, completely a different experience from any of the other açaí places. That makes this my favorite açaí spot I've tried so far in San Diego. The Brazilian bread is super addicting as well!

It's SO good and easily one of my favorite açaí spots, I could literally eat it every single day. I love all the customizations they offer, the variety of bases, and just how many ingredients they have. This time, I decided to visit their UCSD location, which is right in the middle of University of California San Diego's campus. They open around 10 AM on Saturdays (and typically around 8 AM on weekdays), and even right at opening there were already a lot of people waiting. My friend and I were still able to get in and out pretty quickly around 10. I ended up getting their mango passion base along with açaí. For toppings, I loaded it up strawberries, bananas, apples, blackberries, blueberries they truly have so many options. I also love their variety of nuts, seeds, and different types of nut butters. They really don't skimp on choices. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping by. I was SO full after, and honestly, you could even split a bowl with a friend because they pack it generously. It's about $12 for a normal medium-sized bowl, which I think is worth it for the portion and quality. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The ambiance is nice it's more of a grab-your-bowl and then sit outside type of vibe, but there is indoor seating as well. Definitely one of my favorite açaí spots, and this location did not disappoint.

I placed an order ahead of time and showed up about 25 minutes later thinking it would be ready. When I checked in, a younger employee told me it would be another 10 minutes. Annoying, but okay. The parking situation around here is already a nightmare, so I really wasn't thrilled about having to stand around waiting even longer. Well, those 10 minutes turned into 25. During that time, I watched multiple people walk in, place orders after I had already checked in, and receive their food before me. The crazy part? It wasn't even busy. There was no line out the door, no rush, no obvious reason for such a ridiculous delay. After waiting long enough, I finally went up to an older gentleman working there (I'm assuming the owner) and politely explained that I had been waiting a very long time and was confused why people ordering after me were getting their food first. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking about an order that should have been ready ages ago. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance.
