#1 crispy bacon with scrambled eggs. If you enjoy a classic all American breakfast, this is your guy #2 beef chorizo with cheddar cheese. The chorizo in this was flavorful & seasoned nicely! Like all hashbrowns or potatoes, I typically cannot eat them on their own without a sauce. For these sandwiches, their sauces on the side were a must to bring them all together! I enjoyed the red salsa but they're green (jalapeño based) was good as well.
This was an awesome experience! Finally decided to try for the first time at the Hillcrest farmers market! I ordered the #1 which is their best seller breakfast one. Very delicious and make sure you order their spicy mayo
We had the Angus and sautéed Mushroom spinach feta & Mozzarella Sandwich's was good but not great, hash crust could of used some seasoning but the Avocado Salad was great

This place is overhyped and overpriced in my honest opinion. I got the chicken option (#4) and it was nothing special. The hash brown itself was dry and flavorless, the chicken was just salty -- it had no flavor other than salt -- and the garlic sauce flavor was barely there. Whenever I go to the farmers market the line for this place is always really long, and the wait is also a decent amount of time, but I'm sad to say that I don't think it's worth it.

Food truck at the market in Little Italy. Was soo fire. Service was great. Great vibes. When I was the food market I was looking for the one great foodie find. This was it! If you ever see it as a food stand, truck, or business you need to try them out! The guy who took my order was friendly and very positive with every guest! It was also fun watching how they made the stuffed hash brown! They even threw in a sample of their hot sauce which tasted great! Looks are everything when it comes to presence of food.
Tried today for the first time. If you think you're going to pick up a hash brown like a hamburger it's just not going to happen but with fork in hand, you will never be able to stop until it's gone. These things are delicious and super filling. I ordered the carne asada with an avocado salad on the side and my spouse ate the chorizo.... described as spectacular.
FOOD: #2 Beef Chorizo, scrambled eggs, avocado slices, cheddar cheese $13 (3.5/5) -Beef chorizo, eggs, and cheese cooked in a hash brown batter using cast iron. The hash brown was super crispy, but the small burnt edges are bitter (I did see that the workers try to cut off as most burnt pieces as possible). It was a good savory flavor, but a tad dry. The avocado helped balance everything with the addition of salsa and ketchup. SERVICE: -it took about 7 minutes to come out, even when they were super busy at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market
This is a popular vendor at Little Italy Mercato, so I thought I would give it a try. I tried the #2, which is a Stuffed Hashbrown that comes with mozzerella, chicken breast, and house garlic sauce. We waited about 10 minutes. First impressions... the hashbrown looked somewhat burnt on the edges and were charred black. After the first bite, I was shocked by how bland it was! The chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The hashbrown was also bland and not salted at all. I didn't taste any garlic sauce at all. I was surprised that I didn't like it since this place looked so popular!
The Brazilian guys are serving up some of the best stuffed hash browns all through out the San Diego Area! They have alot of pop up markets in the area with one of my personal favorite in Little Italy on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. They are usually located at the end of Kettner Blvd in the cul de sac. They have many options to choose from and there hot sauce is out of this world! This time I opted for the #3 which is the Cali and it was a stuffed and grilled golden brown to perfection with Carne asada and Pico and garnished with fresh parsley. The crispness of the hashbrown was very flavorful and packed with good Ole Carne asada! The meat was savory and had a nice marinate but I feel it could of been marinated longer. The hot sauce added a nice twist to it and it was the perfect treat for breakfast on a Saturday. Customer service was Second to none and watching them cook your food over flaming fire is always a plus. This place can be busy but they always deliver the best food with a smile and is a excellent addition to the Little Italy's farmers market!
location: little Italy's farmers market on Saturdays parking: paid street parking or paid lots, but overall very hard to find parking for the farmers market. I recommend riding the trolley into Little Italy if possible what we ordered: * #3: angus beef, spicy mayo, cheddar cheese, pico de gallo ($15.25): cool concept with the hash brown acting as a bun! I thought the hash brown "bun" was too crispy & burnt and the beef filling was dry. the green avocado sauce helped with the dryness, but I wish there was more of it. for $15, it's a little pricey for what it is. main takeaway: overall 3.5 stars. I'm glad I tried this place but not sure if I would come back.

The Hillcrest farmer's market is home to many wonderful food vendors, and I'm so happy to discover The Brazilian Guys there! I had the BOB stuffed hash brown and it was gone in under 5 minutes (sorry, that's unladylike). I can't wait to go back next Sunday and try the BFK. Also, everyone working the stand is super friendly--definitely adds to the experience! read more

Found these guys at the Hillcrest farmers market. They serve an awesome all-in-one breakfast - hash browns stuffed with breakfast food! Perfect for a quick Sunday brunch. There are quite a few options, from the outer shell of either potato, sweet potato, cassava/yucca, or cheese bread to the 7-8 different combinations of fillings. The homemade salsa that comes with the hash browns is tasty and compliments the meal well. I had a potato hash brown stuffed with chorizo, egg, and cheese. The outside was perfectly crispy, the filling was moist, and the cheese was gooey. I also tried their acai, which is served sorbet style rather than the usual acai blended with liquid that makes a super thick smoothie/pudding consistency. Overall I would definitely recommend. I must admit, I was curious to check this place out since I saw them on Cheap Eats on Cooking Channel. Stuffed hash browns....what!!??!! I must go here and see what Ali Khan was raving about!! They're located in Mission Hills, and you can also find them at several local Farmers Market. And only open Tue-Fri from 8-1pm. We got here not too early, and there were a few patrons upon arrival. BTW, street parking only, but there's plenty of parking on the streets, so you're good! The place itself is pretty small with a couple of tables inside, and a few outside. So, basically you choose your "crust", you have the option from hash browns, sweet potato, cassava, and/or cheese bread crust. From there you choose your filling, and pick a side. You can also add an extra topping for an additional price. It definitely wasn't cheap eats, depending on which one you get. My companion and I ended up sharing the "The Breakfast", which had the bacon, eggs and cheese with the hash brown crust. It's pretty big in my opinion, and glad that we chose to order just one. We also ordered their fresh squeezed OJ. The food itself was good, definitely filling. The hash browns was cooked just right, with a nice crust to it. The OJ was definitely fresh squeezed, as you can see the guy behind the counter making it! They also have other items on their menu, such as Açaí bowls and crepes. But they're knows for their stuffed hash browns. I'd definitely check them out again, either at their Mission Hills location or at the Farmers Market. Especially a small business such as this. Speedy, tasty and they sanitize/ change gloves in between customers. There was a line when we rolled up around 11:30. You know it's a good sign when there is a line. We shared the bacon, egg, & cheese hash. It was really good. I'm all about the cheese wish there were a little more to balance the potato and egg more. I can't wait to try the chicken one or the veggie one. Those sounded really good. They give u lots of meat and they are a well oiled machine. Even though there was a line it goes fast. read more
Did someone say stuffed hashbrowns? I had never thought of this until I met the Brazilian Guys at the Farmers Market in Little Italy (Sat). Go to their website to find where they are going to be, they are a weekend experience. Perfect! Back to the food - stuffed hashbrowns. I tried the mushroom, spinach and feta with avacado and spicy mayo and loved it! They offer three stuffed hashbrowns as well; roasted chicken, smoked bacon and scrambled eggs and angus beef. My compadres tried the other three and all reported we should just plan Saturday breakfast with The Brazilian Guys and their Stuffed Hasbrowns. About the hashdowns, they are seasoned and baked in little cast iron skillets over gas flames. The "veggie" option I experienced with the avacado slices and spicy mayo on top was good enough it didn't need eggs. For a guy who doesn't eat meat, a breakfast without eggs means oatmeal and while this doesn't have either, I will skip my eggs and oatmeal for this yummy treat! Enjoy! read more

Holy moly yummy food. Mind blown with the punch of flavors hitting my tongue the moment I got to savor my stuffed hash brown. Perfectly cooked exterior! The filling was superb. I got the carne with pico! Can't wait to have more! Fun tent, with lots of going on. I mean they are very busy, which is great for business. Accept credit cards which is a PLUS. read more
Have only been to the tent they have set up at the farmers markets but every time their stuffed hash browns are killer. We bring our friends and it's always a hit. Worth the money every time. I recommend getting the carne asada. read more

WOW. This place was incredible! I'm staying at a friend's in Mission Hills and was craving an acai bowl so I just went on yelp and this place was the closest. My boyfriend and I came here around 11am on a Friday and it was pretty empty. The guys in the restaurant were super friendly, describing everything on the menu and sharing their recommendations. We ended up getting an acai bowl and a brazilian pancake thing with cheese bread (the egg, cheddar and bacon one). OH MY GOD IT WAS THE BEST THING I'VE HAD IN A WHILE. Sooo good. So much bacon in the middle, which was cooked perfectly. It came with homemade salsa that was also amazing. I'm sad I didn't get my own, I'm already craving it again and it's only been 2 hours since I've had it. The acai bowl was also really good and fresh, with bananas, strawberries, and granola and honey. Both the bowl and the pancake thing were only $8. Such a good price. Can't wait to come here again, it's soooo delicious. read more
I'm gluten free so with Brazilian Boys being a GF restaurant and a Five-Star restaurant, this was DEF a joint I had been eyeing. We traveled to SD for the holidays. On our 2nd to last day, I purposely woke up at 8am (I never wake up that early when on vay-cay. I mean WHY?!? LOL) just to fit it in. I'm glad I did because it was worth it. The food is delish! It's basically a shell made from your choice of: hash brown, cassava, cheese bread or sweet potato. Then stuffed with cheese and meat combos. The first time we came, we tried the Larry, Big Head, Classic and Miniera. My fave was the Larry... cheesy gooey-ness with tender chicken. Yummmmmm!! The next morning, we came back and also tried the Daily Special which was a shell stuffed with Carne Asada and avocado. Simply delish! The dishes look a small for $9 but they are heavy and thick, they DEF fill your belly. NOTE: It takes a while for them to make so be patient and try to avoid the lunch crowd. Parking is limited as it only street parking. Location is close to the airport. They do accept credit cards. They have one small table inside and a cute outdoor patio with four small tables where you can dine with your dogs. The customer service is super friendly and accommodating. They like to ensure their customer are completely happy, satisfied and full! Def a 5-Star Yelp restaurant :) read more

Was walking the farmers market in little Italy when we came across this stand. By the size of the line and smell we knew it would be good. The wait was a while but it was worthwhile. Just look at these photos. We got one to share but got back in line for more because it wasn't enough. Never seen another place stuff hash browns like this but they should. read more

Stumbled upon this gem while looking for another coffee shop and they happened to bet set up at the little Italy farmers market. I got myself the stuffed sweet potato with veggies and cheese and it was delicious! Also give their homemade salsa a try, it has the right amount of kick and definitely will give them another try for the cheese bread and hash brown variations and mix around their other fillings! read more
These guys are usually have one of the longest lines at Hillcrest Farmer's market, as they do have one of the biggest booths and they leave their entrees out to see. Their stuffed hash browns are definitely quite a sight to behold, so I had to try it when I first came to this farmer's market. Unfortunately, it's basically only good in the visual department, and it lacks at everything else: 1) Size/price: with most of the hash browns being $10 or more, you'd think you would get a sizable serving, but nope. I was still hungry afterwards, despite the carb-iness of fried potatoes... 2) Taste: honestly nothing special either. Again, looks a lot better than it tastes. Somehow the fillings don't "integrate" with the hash browns that well. In addition, the hash brown I received was significantly burnt: I feel like I see the same in other people's orders (and even the hash browns for show that they leave out). I do like that they seem to have special utensils(?) in order to make their stuffed hash browns. I would not try again though. read more

Came to San Diego on a business trip, last free day before heading out of town tonight. Wanted to check out "best breakfast" in San Diego and found The Brazilian Guys through Yelp. First reaction, amazing service! A gentleman greeted me and asked if I have been here before. I said no. He showed me the menu boards and explained what they have and how it's made. I ended up having the "Hash Browns Shell" with Classic BKF ($8). BKF is Bacon, Eggs and Cheddar Cheese. Absolutely delicious!! Came with a side of Red Roasted Chili Pepper Sauce that was surprisingly good and a little spicy. Overall, all of the reviews posted for The Brazilian Guys are well deserved. The restaurant have been opened for 7 months. This place will be one of the hot spots in years to come!! read more

So my long time friend and I try to meet up for brunch once a month... This cute lil patio was perfect ambience for catching up on all life has thrown at us the past 30 days. Ok, the 3 Brazilian guys? Totally awesome. Very friendly, ready to explain the culinary delights they create. I ordered the cassava with ground beef and banana...SO good! My friend ordered the classic but by no means boring hashbrown with egg, cheese and this oh so amazing bacon! Bottom line. The food is great! The ambience is inviting. You need to come and support these guys! read more

We ran into these guys (The Brazilian Guys to be more exact) at the Hillcrest Farmers Market and got drawn into their booth by the lovely aroma! I didn't even realize they were within walking distance from us until driving by one day and seeing their sign (they share the space with Cake off Reynard). They specialize in some tasty breakfast goodness and are known for their stuffed hash brown, along with stuff tapioca and cassava. If you're looking for something that'll satisfy those tastebuds, get their ground beef with cheese and plantains. Man, the first bite is orgasmic and it'll make you want to grab another one. I recommend getting one for each person as sharing half of one is simply just a tease. They do acai bowls as well. Many spots can make an acai bowl but these dudes are super generous with the scoops and pack it all the way to the top unlike other places that have just a tiny layer of acai and stuff the rest with bananas as a filler. They have complimentary coffee as well when you're ordering at their new storefront location! Note that the hours are limited 8am-1pm. read more

This place is DELICIOUS!!! We came across this spot while visiting San Diego and it was the best find ever! The staff are super friendly but the food was amazing! To make everything better, they have the cutest outdoor sitting where you can eat and enjoy your food. Great way to start your day! I love food. I love new. So it's no surprise that when I came across the sign with "Stuffed Hashbrowns" that I came to a halt. We're on the Main St. side of Hillcrest Farmers Market, and while the waiting area was packed, the line to order matched. I kept seeing these patty looking things when I found that they are STUFFED HASHBROWNS. Stuffed with carne asasa & pico de gallo, or spinach & mushroom if meat's not your thing. Choose your "hash": either traditional hashbrowns, cassava/yucca, cheese-bread or sweet potato (which I ordered). 5 minutes later: DELICIOUSNESS. I literally stood in the waiting area, fielding questions from passerby's, and talking about how good it was. The best one was when I looked a lady in the eye and carved into the meal, melted mozzarella oozed out the only way it knows how: sexily. She was sold right then, and got in line. My friend ordered the carne asada & pico, though she subbed it with ground beef since they were out of carne. That cassava... Da BOMB! To the Brazilian Guys: I would GLADLY stand in the waiting area of your booth every Sunday to talk about your food, or hand out samples. All I need is food. read more
Came here early afternoon on Thursday. The service is great! The guy working at the front was very friendly and passionate about his food. My boyfriend and I ordered Pao de queijo and two stuffed Brazilian pastries. I ordered mine with Pao de queijo and avocado, tomatoes, and eggs. Soooo delicious!!! I got the Cali on a cassava shell and WOW it was tasty. My side was avocado salad. It ended up being around $17 total (pricey but to be honest worth it). The guys were so nice and there was WiFi! I will definitely come again when I'm the area. read more

What's the address?
They don't have a physical address. But on Sundays they are outside of Seven Seas Roasting on Fern St I think until 13:00 and they are at farmers markets.
We have 3 adults and a 2 year old. If we come on a weekday around 10, will there be a line up and adequate seating? Thanks.
I think it should be ok. They have outdoor seating and I dont recall any high chair for the kids.
