Came here for my mom's birthday. She's been here before and really loves their food, and everything lived up to it! The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was so kind and welcoming. The only small suggestion would be the coffee. My sister and mom remembered them having café de olla, but when we went it was just cold brew. We were a little bummed about that, but everything else was great. I'd definitely come back! New local favorite for a to-go meal or casual bite. They are definitely a step up from your neighborhood taco shop in terms of menu offerings, but definitely not a full service restaurant either. It's also more of a breakfast/lunch eatery since the North Park location closes at 2pm. I came here originally at the recommendation from a friend about their chilaquiles - And they definitely did not disappoint. So good! I've tried both the red and green and can't decide which I like more. I'm sort of hooked lol. Staff is super friendly, they can accommodate large to-go orders quickly, and I like that they have a drive thru option. My ONLY qualm is that they are a on the pricey side ($17 for chilaquiles). But like I said it is a slightly more elevated spot despite it being a quick service/order at the counter vibe. With that said, I will definitely be a repeat customer here to work down their menu. Went through the drive through today for a quiet bite while on the road. It's a cute little restaurant on a corner across from CVS. They have a pretty large menu to choose from, which is nice! I decided on the California burrito. It was pretty hefty in size, but very expensive. $15 for a burrito is crazy. Yes, it was pretty fresh tasting, but felt the meat lacked seasoning/flavor. This location is the only one that had dine in/drive-thru option. On a Saturday at 9am they were not super busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Inside there is only 3 small tables that seat 2-3 people. Outside has bar stools and a few tables. There is a station for water, trash, and plates once you're done. This is an order at the counter and then sit down place. The staff was friendly and greeted us when we walked in. My husband and I got the Chilaquiles rojos with chicken. It was an extra cost for the chicken. The dish was presented well, came with beans as well. The chicken was grilled tender loins pieces, the flavor of the sauce was smoky and had a nice spice, the chips could have been a bit more soft (personal preference, I don't like the chips to be hard in chilaquiles) the beans were a little dry. But overall would rate them a 7/10. I also tried the vanilla concha from their pasty selection, it was a little dense compared to other conchas I've had, the vanilla flavor was not very strong. I would rate it a 5/10. I tried their organic black coffee, they have a self delve station next to the counter, you can add milk, creamer, sugar, cinnamon, and agave to your coffee. Excellent fresh Mex food been coming here a long time for a reason. The employees are like family and I always feel so welcome. I usually do not go on the weekends because it's always packed. I recently moved around the corner from it and couldn't find my pots and pans I was literally eating there everyday I think I've had almost everything on the menu. I will say I hate their potatoes. They're basically cut up little French fry pieces and their flavorless. The only time I include them in my order is if I'm getting the chorizo burrito because then it soaks up the chorizo grease and has flavor. I am laughing at the out-of-towners writing reviews here. I used to eat at Panchitas from time to time when they were in Golden Hill; I bought pastries for my husband there, too. Flash forward about 15 years and I find myself here for the first time. I was hungry, as it had been at least 14 hours since I last ate, and I needed to eat. I saw their banner that stated "Vegan Burritos," - so I went in and looked at their menu. I ordered the vegan burrito which is spinach, soyrizo, potatoes, black beans, avocados and onions. Lots of food for the price, and yes, I ate it all. I want to mention that their non-spicy green salsa is very delicious and paired nicely with my burrito. The inside is very cute and clean as well. I really liked the lady behind the counter who brought me my food. She was very cheerful and treated all the customers there very well. Great service! The potatoes seemed to have been a "house" type potatoes that had a crisp to them (good otherwise might get soggy in the burrito).
