I have to admit, I've become a fan of Hat Creek burgers for a variety of reasons. Price wise, they're pretty much in line with In-N-Out burgers, but they also offer vegan, Paleo, and Keto choices. The burgers here tend to be a little larger than In-N-Out and the fries taste much better than those terrible starch sticks served at In-N- Out. They also have some unique, if not unusual shake choices. There's also a wider choice of burgers and some sauces to go with them. But best of all, when it's time to settle up at the register, unlike most establishments, you will not be hit with that obligatory tip screen trying to get the last dollar out of you before you sit down. This location also offers a play scape for the kids and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. The only thing that keeps this from being a five star review is the fact that the chocolate shake for the money was quite small and the serving of fries is also on the small side. Other than that, I'll be back.

Always enjoy coming to Hat Creek. The employees are friendly and always in a positive mood. The food is always Hot (in a good way). My son loves coming to this location because the play area is small, but big enough to have someone to play with. I like that it's always clean even on busy days.

Saw Hat Creek Burger Company segment on the TV Show "Goodtaste with Tanji" - so we decided to give it a try. Not disappointed - we ordered the standard Little Hat and Big Hat Combos - no complaints- tasty and hot. The potato fries were generous and hot and crispy without being greasy. We were eating a late lunch - around 3 pm - so there just a few customers there - Will try other burgers next time when we are in the neighborhood.

Hat Creek Burger Company is a local fast food restaurant in Austin, TX that is a family friendly, features great food, and I got great service as well. This was my first time at this chain and the employee I interacted with answered all of my questions and with a smiling face. I particularly had questions about the different sauces that are offered. I ordered the The Fredericksburger which featured double patties, spicy sauerkraut, and happy sauce. I got a side of tater tots and also tried the fry sauce and hat sauce. The fry sauce was more sweet and hat sauce was more tangy. Everything I got was fantastic and would definitely go back again.

TLDR: An above par fast food burger. Hat Creek fills the same market niche as places like P-Terry's and In-N-out. It provides a slightly better than average burger, and a pretty decent atmosphere. the restaurant overall was clean, the staff were nice. pretty prime example of a fast food place. One nice thing they do have is they serve beer, which does set them apart. I had the "Big Hat" combo with fries. the burger itself was pretty decent. Nothing absolutely mind blowing, but I got what I paid for. Same for the fries. they do have a couple sauce options available for free, which is nice, as being charged 25 cents for some sauce is sort of annoying. all things considered, I'd put this place at slightly above a 3/5.

There's no hats or creeks in sight but there is burgers! We have been here a handful of times and recently saw an elite friend, Heather, get a veggie burger here. My teenage son is a vegetarian and we are on the quest to find him the best damn veggie burger we can. To her suggestion he added jalapenos but he passed on the grilled onions. The patty is crisp and the flavor was great! He said it is definitely a veggie burger he'll be wanting again. I went for the grilled chicken sandwich and thought it was good but not as good as their burgers. My other son had their cheeseburger and as usual, it was tasty. We also got their sweet potato fries. Usually we get a fun shake here but passed on it this time. For condiments they have a unique fry sauce here that may have some honey mustard in it or something different. Either way, it was good. We would also recommend their ranch dipping sauce. Hat Creek is a fun spot we've been going to since then boys were little. The service is always up to par and the menu is variable for all types of diets in need of fast but yummy food.

This restaurant is so awesome!!! We just started going recently and the burgers are delicious, the staff is above and beyond friendly and courteous, and the playground is so fun for kids! We used to always go to Amys after church, but this is our new fav! Keith is such a nice guy and makes you feel right at home! So glad we found this place!

Had not been to this restaurant in a good while, and was a last minute decision. Good choice. The whipped feta is always a treat -- light and creamy with a solid feta taste, but not overpowering, served with a few orange slices and thinly sliced almonds, and pita. Special dish! Beet salad excellent, but the Fresno peppers had way too much heat, so pushed them to side. My wife had the Moroccan curry, which had a very spot on Moroccan flavor (been there 3x), and was a large, filling portion so brought home leftovers. I had the grilled pork chop which was large, perfectly grill with a tasty bourbon-based glaze, served with a large roasted garlic clove. Wonderful dish. It is a sports bar It has a million attractive wonderful aspects. It has a million pain in the neck aspects. Everything is a good news bad news joke. But the good news is pretty good. * * * I ran into the bad news right upon entering the restaurant. There was not a comfortable table to sit at anywhere in the restaurant except at the bar. Benches were so low that it was like being a four year old at the grown up table. I would have needed a telephone book to reach the table. Regular chairs don't face the TV so you have to crane your neck to see the sports. Comfortable curved sofa benches exist, but they are 500 miles from the TV. So I tried seat after seat after seat before ending up at the bar. The bar was okay. * * * The bar choices are ample and slim. There were surprisingly thin offerings on beer. There were WONDERFUL listings on bourbon and rye. I am a rye drinker, so I was in hog heaven. The tequila listings were pretty good too. Gin drinkers, scotch drinkers and vodka drinkers were just going to have to take what was available. The cocktail menu was about average. I was in a golden cloud of glory with all my choices. Angel's Envy Rye is first rate libation that is simultaneously fiercely peppery and sublimely smooth. Rough on the taste means usually means rough going down. This was BDSM with the grace of a feather. I was in love. * * * Chile con carne was a beautiful chili with brisket rather than the usual hamburger. Flavoring was superb. The brisket chunks were three times as big as you would comfortably want to put in your mouth all at once. You don't want to take a fork and knife to a bowlful of chili. So I was struggling to eat my meat all night while at the same time admiring the quality of the recipe. Watching Duke eke out a one point win over Louisville in women's basketball was good times. * * * Then comes the dessert. Dark clouds. The brownie with three scoops of ice cream, candied pecans, and caramel sauce tasted fantastic. It was an irresistible end to a meal. But brownies should really really not be the size of a big box store. Remember from English class - "Enough! No More! Tis not so sweet now as it was before." The brownie was three to five times the size of a regular brownie - and this was before all the extra stuff was put on top of it. It was super rich and super good the way brownies are supposed to be. It was gooey the way super brownies are supposed to be. But the only human being in history who could have managed that sucker was Diamond Jim Brady, the notorious glutton of the Gilded Age. (Four T-bone steaks, two ducks, a half a dozen lobsters, three dozen oysters, two pounds of candy and an entire pastry tray were a normal dinner for him. He could go for more if there were special treats.) I went from being happy and in a good mood to being a little full, then more than full, then Jesus-Christ-I-Can't-Stand-It-Anymore. I left half of that brownie on my plate, and left Cover 3 nauseated and staggering. Not the way you want to end an otherwise fine evening. * * * Cover 3 has its definite attractions - even if you have to put up with the chairs. Bourbon and rye drinkers, take especial note. Our server, Malcom, was fantastic and really made the visit stand out. The coffee was solid too, and it looks like they've got plenty of gluten‑free options. We'll definitely be back to check out their brunch.

New items! How exciting: I had not been here for a couple of months. This time I decided to try their matcha- it comes topped with a chocolate pistachios cream (this was a bit too much for me, my daughter liked it) and the matcha was also too sweet for me, but very flavorful. For our main dish I ordered the shrimp and grits, and my daughter ordered biscuits and gravy. My dish had 4 small shrimp (which I ate) a lot of anduille sausage bits, and a lot of flavorful sauce over these soupy cheesy grits that was not what I expected. It was served as a "soup" with a spoon. There was some toasted bread on the side of the bowl. While everything was very flavorful, I did not like the soupy consistence, it was unexpected for me. My daughter's biscuits and gravy, on the other hand, needed more gravy... she liked the dish but she felt her gravy was too little for the serving. Then she also ordered a half order (1) pancake with cinamon roll French toast and we took that home. It had good flavor! Overall, I enjoyed the food, the flavors were good, the prices have definitely gone up a LOT. 3 stars for good flavor as expected- but I was not "blown away"... but yes of course I would come again! Enjoy!
