Abysmal Service Department! Our story began when we decided to special order a brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon edition toy for the fleet at our house. We stopped in and talked for a moment with a sales person, then met the owner in his office and special ordered it just the way we wanted it. I would give the sales process about 3.75 out of 5 stars since we had a pleasant experience but didn't feel we got much of a great price, but it was about the same as the last Jeep dealer we had already shopped at so we just gave up and bit the bullet. Much to our excitement the new Jeep arrived in only half the expected time so off I went to pick this shiny thing up. I grabbed the jeep and drove it home. I felt like it had much less power than the Jeep I test drove at the other dealer and less than my friends brand new Jeep. I realized there was oil in the air intake where the filter goes and figured this explains a lot as it is probably a bad engine with loss of compression and too much piston blow by. I read online that another person got a new engine and the problem was solved. To the dealer I went and the service dark haired skinny little guy told me there is no check engine light on so there is nothing wrong with it. He literally walked away from me and back into the building and didn't say another thing to me. if one of my employees treated a customer like that, I would fire him on the spot. I contacted Jeep since we apparently had some sort of premium Jeep Care package? They apologized and assured me we would be taken care of... After months of back and forth and nobody even getting someone to really look at it I gave up and traded it on a new Honda... I hate to say that after owning 9-10 jeeps in my lifetime I am pretty sure I would never buy another one, at least new. Out other issue, realizing it really swerved around on the road more than any Jeep I ever had before. I resolved this by replacing the terrible BFG load range C 32" factor tires with new 33" tires and wheels with a load range E rating that took 80% of the instability away and made me feel better about that... And of course it looked cooler too... All in all the Jeep looked cool, leaked oil, leaked water through the windshield frame and for a $40K vehicle was really a disappointment. This dealers service department dont know what their doing. I have a 2010 jeep compass that had a new battery installed in it prior to my purchase, which i informed them of. It was clearly stamped manufacturer 6/16. I removed my battery because it wouldn't start , drove 50 miles to the dealer and was told they needed the battery in the vehicle . I drove back home 50 miles , reinstalled the battery , jumped the vehicle and drove back to the dealer. They had the car 2 hours and told me they needed the original purchase receipt to warranty the battery. I refused to purchase another battery from them if they only last 10 months and they wont honor the clearly stated 3 years free replacement. They trated me like a criminal. Make sure you get everything in writing, and make sure the "We Owe" paper you fill out is the one you actually get a copy of when you sign all the papers. Took 3 months of arguing about a rear bumper and instead of making it right we ended up with a $100 back up camera that is worthless. Won't get my business again ! read more

I will never again do business with Hatch Motor. They offered free oil changes with my purchase and when I called to make an appointment for my second oil change I was rudely told it expired.... there was no use by or expiration date mentioned. I tried to trade the vehicle in at another dealership and was told the car fax showed an accident, which Hatch Motor never mentioned. The owner said the car fax was inaccurate, I asked him to make it right and either buy the car back or get the car fax corrected... he was so smug and said well it is a used vehicle... really!?! Robert was able to save us more than $1,500 in out of pocket costs for needed repairs! I left my vehicle in their care to have the radiator replaced. When I returned to get my truck the factory installed DVD players was missing. Someone stole it while my truck was in their care. It wasn't hastily ripped out of the vehicle. It was very carefully uninstalled which according to the police indicates is was done by someone who knew how to do it, had lots of time to do it and had the correct factory tools to do it. When I pointed it out to Hatch they said ' we're not responsible for theft'. Really?? It's not like I left an Ipod in the car that was taken! This was actually part of the vehicle. I had to sue them to get them to pay for it. And then after the court ordered them to pay for it they decided to send me a $5 check every month until it was paid for. Whatever...I wasn't about the money. It's the principle. If you don't take care of a paying customers vehicle then you are responsible for the outcome. read more

What can I say that's good about Hatch Motor Co out of Show Low, AZ. Well there isn't much. Justin with Hatch was great but when it came to their "floor manager" this guy is terrible. Has a very bad attitude with customers and can't take a little bit of heat. We presented a cash offer $2,000 less than the asking price on a used 2013 car and he said, " we have to much in this car we can't go that low". We told him it was only $2,000 of the sticker price of a 2013 car. We said it was only $17,200 and it looked at his employee and said it's only $17,200? We asked him how much he has invested into this car and he again said he didn't know. We asked him why he didn't know the prices of his cars and he instantly raged and said we just got this car a few days ago so EXCUSE ME (in a raged voice) for not knowing the price of the car. But I thought you said you could not go that low and you had to much in the car? He then came back with a counter offer and said he will only take as low as $19,200 jacking the price up $2,000 when they said they could come down on the price. (I know, tax, title, license fees etc.) but a cash price and you don't come down on the sticker price or cut a break on all the fees? Then he went to say he could sell us a used car for $21,500 and give us a $3,000 rebate for this same car but it was a new 2014. He would sell us a new car for less than he would a used 2013 car? Doesn't make much sense. A used car for $19,200 but a new car for $18,000?
