Made a reservation time is valuable had other obligations the day of our reservation. Arrived a few minutes early and was told ok you will have to wait until 6:30! Our reservation was at 5:00! Thank you Jason Stradling for working with me to get 4 new tires on my wife's car. I came in with 2 bad tires and 2 moderately worn tires, with an all wheel drive, calling for 4 matching tires. Jason helped me with warranties and buy backs, giving me a great price on 4 new Michelin tires. Jason is an active manager, who is always on the floor working with customers, staff and mechanics. He recently enacted a service for drivers who's tire alert comes on. Customers are now able to drive by an outside station, get checked, pressure restored and the alert turned off. I used this service recently and it only took 10 minutes, as opposed to sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours. Chase took care of us. He went above and beyond to help us out. I had a german car with safety lug nuts. I couldn't find a tool removal anywhere near in any stores. I had to get back to tucson. He was able to compromise and use a different tool to fix the problem and help me out. He gave me a great deal on my tires. I was able to get back home same day. Worst. Service. Ever. The service model here is beyond disastrous. Imagine standing in a long line while two desk attendants make and receive multiple phone calls between seeing one live customer at a time. After wasting time with this clown show I confronted the one who had checked me in that morning. He became very defensive and yammered, "We have to take care of the phone!" repeatedly. Fortunately, a female tech overheard this and expedited our service. We left feeling pity for the sheep left standing in the lobby patiently waiting to be served between phone calls. I took my car in for a tire balance and rotation. It was done an hour before they said it would be done and they were very busy. A young man met me out in the parking lot asking me what I needed and then escorted me into the store to give me taken care of. We have bought many sets of tires at discount tires, but the tires had been put on our vehicle by the previous owner. They balanced and rotated them for free anyway. I had a very positive experience at Show Low Discount Tire because of Jaden. The day before, I had my tires checked at an automotive shop in Pinetop. I thought they had overfilled the tires and was concerned because I was traveling to the valley in a few days. I explained my concern to Jaden and he discussed the appropriate pressure with me and adjusted the air for my upcoming trip conditions. Then, I said perhaps I should have my spare checked. Because I noticed a few cars behind me, I said well I can possibly skip the spare (which is not conveniently located) because I didn't want to hold up the other cars. My brother is a musician and had a gig over labor day weekend in the Heber Overgaard area. We noticed a noise coming from the tires while exploring the area. We pulled into discount tire about 15 minutes prior to closing. We checked the tires and one, the steel belt was exposed. The tech came out to look and said this tire will blow if you drive on it and they would service the vehicle right there and then! My point is....holiday weekend and 15 minutes before closing? Dwight, assistant manager, has my utmost respect! He gave us a deal we could not pass up and because of that I now have 4 new tires on my SUV and I know that my family is safe on the road. The issue was I had 2 tires that were 245's in the front and 255's in the back when the tires were all suppose to be 265's! Also the driver rear was separating and causing our vehicle to shake(so dangerous!). He caught that problem thankfully and now no shaking! They really care about safety. I scheduled an appointment to have my tires rotated at 1130 today. I scheduled this time to try to get it done during my lunch break. I got there right on time and was checked in within a couple minutes. I watched and waited for someone to take my car back. During that time there were several other customers who come in without an appointment (and I know this because they said "I don't have an appt how long is the wait?" Etc) and their vehicles were taken back before mine. Finally after waiting 30 min, at 12pm, I asked for my keys back and that's when they tried to drive my car back to finally do the rotation. They drove my car to the front and I left. Very discouraging that I scheduled an appointment for nothing, I would have been better off driving up there without one. read more

My wife was there yesterday 5/21/24 and had to wait approx. 2.5 hours to get a tire repaired (hex head screw in the tire). The tires were purchased at Discount. I took a look today, and they put the wrong valve cap on the tire (too short for the valve stem). They have done this in the past, so nothing new there and had in the past to bring the car back and get the right length valve caps put back on, on all 4 tires. Her wheel for the tire repaired (fancy rim) was absolutely clean when brought in, and today was full of dirt and some kind of sticky glue. It was absolutely disgusting. So, not having hours to waste again at Discount, cleaned it as best we could today. This is NOT quality service. We should get our car back the way we brought it in or better and not make a fancy rim an absolute mess and leave it that way. The service industry in the USA in recent years (contractors,etc) has become a nightmare and it certainly seems that no cares about the quality of their work anymore. We live in sad times I am sorry to say. Seems Discount tire has also become part of this who cares movement. read more

Just got off the phone with Alex the store manager. Terrible service, the call was over 25 minutes long, which I made on my lunch break, and the only result was Discount losing my business of over fifteen years. I was quoted by store associate David for four falkens at 832 out the door and then got placed on hold to be told after waiting again that the cost of some "good" quality tires would be over nine hundred dollars. First the 832 was too high and for this dip to come back on the line and replace David to tell me a higher price for a less quality tire is outrageous and underhanded. You suck Alex. read more

Literally saved my life and helped me so much. I was on a road trip from california back to Kansas. I'm an active duty soldier and had to report back to base by Sunday night. Short story is Saturday morning my front tires had worn down the tread so bad I have no traction and was sliding all over the I40 . Visited 3 other tire shops near I40 and nobody had any tires close enough to fit my mustang. I finally called discount tires and they told me they had something that could fit my car. Drove 50 minutes to their shop and got me in and out of their shop within an hour on a busy day as a walk in. Absolute great costumer service and excellent costumer service. Utterly disgusted with this shop, terrible customer service. I will never use Discount Tire again for any of our vehicles. My family and I headed up to the Sunrise Ski Area to snag a Christmas tree (with a permit, of course). Got a screw in the front right tire of our 4WD while on the trail and replaced it with our full size spare, while offroad. Took the punctured tire into this shop for repair and was told they would not repair it because it was not the original tire size on the truck. When we called the Discount Tire employee Jayson was very helpful and got us in even though it was close to closing time. Turns out the wheel on our RV was bad and had a pinhole leak in a weld. I've been buying tires for many years and everybody generally treats you as well as they can. Having just moved to the area with larger vehicles and two snows I found myself wanting new tires on both my wife's vehicle and my own. These guys had a number of tires to let me see but showed me from a variety of viewpoints why the tires I already had picked out in research were probably the best for each vehicle. Then came the actual mounting and all. They guessed the times to drop off and pickup within five minutes they were fast. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Prices were lower by a bit than I had expected and in one case I was given some preferential service that I expected to pay for. They said word of mouth is their best advertising but I think part of their best advertising is that they always are busy without you feeling it while you are there. read more

My wife called and spoke to Dwight who happily told us to come on over even though they closed in 20 minutes; easily could have told us they were too busy and closed for the day.
