It was not a fit for lithium batteries so they replaced the regular batteries, fixed brakes and told me it was ready to go. I came up from the valley and tried to start it, it wouldn't start...finally called my neighbor who accepted delivery and asked him if it was working when delivered. He said no, thought they told you. Nope, they did not. I went in and spoke with the service manager and explained what has happened and he informed me it was not right and they would fix it but didn't have room at the moment. Long story short, never had room, spoke with new service manager and he bluntly told me they did not work on GEMs any more and would not be fixing it....$4,000 dollars later it has never run again. UPDATE!!! I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE IN SERVICE DEPARTMENT TODAY AND HE IS GOING TO LOOK INTO THIS FOR ME AND SEE WHAT MIGHT BE ABLE TO BE DONE. TWO YEARS IN THE WORKS.. HE WAS POLITE.

Called Star Performance and talked to Vicky. She was VERY helpful and said they would be happy to look at it. She said that Mike her husband was a factory trained Yamaha repair technician and he did "diagnostics" on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We dropped it off that day which was a Saturday. When we arrived, Vicky already had the invoice filled out and had included all of the information that I had told her about on the phone as to what had happened and what I had found. They charged us a $190 diagnostic fee and said they would look at it as soon as possible. We got a call from Vicky that next Friday. She said that they were ordering a part and it would be $100. The next Friday we got another call telling us that Mike had gotten to thinking on the issue and had done a wiring jumper over a section and it was working just great again, so we could pick it up. We got there later that day and Mike explained exactly what he had found, also they were not going to charge us for the part they ordered, since he had found it was a bad section of wiring. The total bill was just our original $190 fee as it had fallen within his diagnostic time frame. It's great to find an honest business. We would highly recommend them to anyone, and have already!!!

Justin pulled it apart and compared the new pads to the old and told it was more like I had only used 15% of my pads so I really didn't need new ones but I didn't want him to have pulled them for nothing so had him put the new ones on and I kept the old ones in case I have trouble later getting parts. He did my brakes quick and easy and for like a third of what Firestone wanted. GREAT JOB!!!

Didn't top off brake fluid, even though the light is on, and bottle was sitting right next to the reservoir/master cylinder. Charged me to top off coolant. Looks like they mostly added just water. Was bright green before I brought it in, clear now. Didn't ask me. Charged me to top of washer fluid even though you can clearly see all the lines to the jets are gone. Didn't ask me. I would recommend, and I do plan to go back again, but here is why: Even though they did not have my rim, or get my rim, the man came out happily to measure my lugs and rim, another gentleman came out by the first ones request to re-examine my wheels in hopes he could help... no did not toss me off to someone else, got someone else to help us, to help me! Looked at a wheel I had bought else where, measured and explained the differences, so I know I can't use it safely (as I would have bought a spacer and wasted my money!). So even though, they could not sell me something, they went the extra extra mile trying to help me find a solution...
