We joined the waitlist on the website and we're eagerly greeted at the host stand upon our arrival. We still had a 10 minute wait, but there was plenty of seating while we waited. Yvonne, our waitress came eight over and got our drinl order and explained the specials to us. When ordering, we all had questions and she provided honest feedback and suggestions. Our food came out rather quickly and was super delicious! When our food was delivered, the owner, Josh, came over and told us what one of our entrée was inspired by. He was very personable and fun to talk to. It's not everyday that an owner comes and makes you feel so welcome that you always want to come back. If you spot some of my reviews you may notice that I review a lot of breakfast places. That is correct as I love my food served hot and when cooking at home I can never seem to pull it all together. I stopped at Hatch'd for breakfast and as they were crowded I sat at the bar here. That's not unusual as I don't like to take a table if there's an option when I'm by myself. Anyway I thought I'd try the Hatch'd yogurt parfait breakfast. The presentation of the yogurt dish was pretty sweet with the top shaped like the sun by the fruit slices but the yogurt was bland, and it was not the taste I expected. That may mean I got a healthier than normal yogurt but the ingredients were not listed so this may have been a zero fat no added sugar plain Greek yogurt. It didn't have a sweet taste to it and the yogurt plainness overpowered the taste of the fruit. It had about 1/3 less fruit than a competitor's yogurt meal, and the competitor's comes with a full sized muffin. At Hatch'd I didn't add a muffin, just took the yogurt plus 2 scrambled eggs for their protein. The eggs here are typically drier than some other locations, not burnt nor dried out just not as tasty. The coffee was fine but I ran out of cream and the server was covering a number of spots and by the time I for a coffee refill I was out of cream and I need cream to handle coffee. The server, and really all the wait staff here are friendly or at least pleasant and the owner has always been here when I've stopped by. This is a breakfast and brunch / lunch place only and I've never gotten anything that's a breakfast here. I've based this review on my most recent visit but I've eaten here about 2-3 times a month since I found it last year. Ambiance. Eclectic homey vibe, down to earth breaky and lunch joint. Had a little wait until we were hustled back to our table for two. Parking can be challenging. Service. ASK FOR KIM! What a doll. Had fantastic recommendations which we leaned into. Try their home smoked meats! Try their home made gravy! OMG try the white cheddar cheese grits! Tons of farm to fork extremely fresh food. Food I had the breakfast quesadilla and added smoked brisket. The verde sauce was a little kicky but with a dip of sour cream...together they were the perfect accoutrements to the quesadilla. I brought half my quesadilla home. The hub's devoured his 3- egg pastrami omelette and (at Kim's suggestion) used the mustard. Game changer! Oh yah, HAD to try the biscuits and graveyard. Do not o er look the carbo load, just like mama's cooking side. Again, as recommended by Kim, the white cheddar grits were excepted, creamy, and an awesome treat. Would I go back? Heck ya! Came after a great workout in Saturday and it was such a nice treat. We joined the waitlist about 15-20 minutes before. We were seated quickly upon arrival, and were lead upstairs to their event space. There's a good amount of room up there, so def an awesome spot to have a get together. Our server was super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the menu. We really enjoyed her serving us! I got bottomless coffee which is accompanied with coffee mate creamer on the tables. Their coffee is served in a large collection of vintage mugs- it's always fun to see what mug you get :) I always find myself getting the same thing everytime I come, but I guess I know what I like. I got the Mary Moon with scrambled eggs and added chicken sausage. It comes with crispy hash browns and toast- I had some left over to take home. Went for brunch on Sunday with my husband and his friend. We were expecting it to be busy and it was. We were fortunate that it was so warm because we waited a little over an hour for a table which felt a bit excessive. We finally had to ask and it seemed like they had forgotten about us. While they were busy, the service inside was kind of slow and inefficient. The menu is packed with tons of options; it was hard to make a selection because a lot of it looked good. I got the spicy skillet which was good but too much garlic and spice. I wanted spicy but it, and the garlic, were the only discernible flavors. It didn't harmonize well and I could taste the cheese, egg, grits, or sausage. My husband liked his sandwich but said it was good but extremely greasy. He also got a waffle which was yummy but overly vanilla. His friend got chicken and waffles which he loved. Irish coffees were passable. Overall this place was decent but could use some tweaks. The food was good! We were seated upstairs which was quite spacious (a bit of a steep climb if you have troubles with stairs) and plenty of natural lighting. Our server was excellent. The many had a lot of fun names for the items. I had the Seriously Spicy skillet, which wasn't too spicy; my sister had Let Freedom Ring and she enjoyed that; and my partner had the California King, which the queso was delicious. The capri sunrise is a fun nonalcoholic drink especially if you enjoy strawberries! Additionally I had the house basil lemonade which is exactly how it sounds (perhaps a touch more basil-ly, but still tasty!). This was my second time going and I think the food tasted better this time than the first time I went, haha. A bit crowded, but for a Sunday morning I was not surprised. We were in St. Louis for a medical appointment. Yelped breakfast locations and Hatch'd had the best reviews! The restaurant- bar was very inviting and welcoming. We were greeted by 3 staff members immediately upon walking in the door. My husband searched for an outlet to plug in our phones, and lo and behold, a staff member showed us a charging station with various phone cords available! So nice!! Foster was our server and he greets us, and tended to our beverage choice while pointing out specials. He recommended the strawberry infused pancake with homemade coconut whipped cream. He also pointed out the early bird special where we could substitute the regular pancake for the strawberry pancake! The early bird special did not fail! It came out hot and not only looked delicious but was delicious! The strawberry pancake was amazing, as was the whipped cream. Foster was social and kind, and he tended to our needs. Thumbs up, Foster! While we ate, there was a lot of staff members milling about keeping busy with daily tasks, all while greeting patrons and other staff members. This may seem like a small notice, but kindness to other staff members, shows they enjoy working at Hatch'd. Hence, the old saying: if mama ain't happy nobody is happy! We highly recommend Hatch'd for breakfast, and I'm sure their lunches are equally as good. We will definitely return to Hatch'd when we return to St. Louis. read more

I'm a sucker for a good pastrami or corned beef hash and they had it here! It was amazing. Maybe it could have been a little crunchier but the eggs and meat were perfect. Just knocking down a star because it was really packed on a Monday morning and the wait time online only said 5 minutes. It wasn't an issue for me as I sat at the bar since it was just me and I just didn't want to wait. Other parties were waiting for quite a bit so don't come on a Monday morning! They do have some good deals and specials and that's probably why there's so many people here. Regardless, they're amazing! Just come early or set aside some time to go! Can't wait to try everything else! Staff was nice, I did have to wait for a refill for a while since it was so busy. My review probably won't be very popular as I think this is a pretty highly rated place. It was my first time there, the wait was an hour and a half. They took my cell phone number though, we were able to leave and do a few things and come back right on time. That part didn't bother me at all. It's kind of a fun place, eclectic, different, which I like. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. He had a really good vibe. What surprised me is I found the food to be average. I don't think my scrambled eggs were real eggs, they were yellow and kind of chunky. There was a note at the very bottom of the receipt and fine print that they charge extra for real eggs, or per egg, something like that. If I would have known that I would have specified real eggs when I ordered. In a place like that I would anticipate the sausage being homemade. It was one of those large really flat patties so I got the impression they were simply frozen patties. Now they did have a really good flavor, so whether they season them or they come that way, I'm not sure. The food wasn't bad, it was just average, and my expectations were much higher given the long wait, given their reputation. Will I return? Maybe. First time visitor! As noted previously, can be challenging to find parking. Once you enter, staff is very warm and welcoming. Cool vibe inside, large bar when you enter and large TVs. Waitlist via Yelp is awesome, seated right away on a Sunday around 9:15. The food was very tasty. 1. Hash browns were great. Crispy. Not dry. I had less than a neighbor but it was delish. 2. Sausage. Tasty. A little oily but very good. 3. Biscuits and gravy. Good combo between not too runny and not too thick. I enjoyed it. Very flavorful. 4. Over medium eggs. Cooked well, a touch under but it was good. 5. Pancake was tasty, not dry. One hiccup was the scrambled eggs came out cold, can be challenging with the varying cook times of the items. That was immediately corrected with piping hot eggs so appreciate the team for addressing it quickly. Highly recommend! Great breakfast. We had maybe a 5 minute wait and then we were seated and asked if we had been there before. We told them it's our first time. The waitress took her time to explain tge food and her recommendations. I had the early bird special and it filled me just fine. The eggs are so full and fluffy and had tge best flavor ive ever had. The bacon was nice big thick slices and I asked for mine wimy and it came out wimpy. So.its good to know they listen to your order and get it right. The pancakes were like eating a special cakes made just fir me. They kept our drinks refilled and made sure if we needed anything without being a bother while doing it. On top of the great food the prices are very reasonable and you don't break the bank when eating there. It's about the same price it would cost uou to go through McDonald's drive thru for breakfast as to eat atbtge Hatch'd and a heck of a nicer place. Even though the parking situation can be iffy if you get there too late on a weekend, it was well worth the hassle and the wait.
