Just a tremendous coffee shop in Corinth Square in PV. Not many coffee shops around this area, but luckily Hattie's is top notch. Staff are friendly, drinks are fabulous, and food is phenomenal. Add to it that they have a generous gluten free selection, this is over the top good. The only downside (if even a downside) is that seating is somewhat limited, especially inside. If you have a nice day, the outdoor patio is a must, otherwise you may be fighting for indoor seating. read more

I met a friend here and the staff were all so friendly and fun! I thought for sure this would be my new coffeeshop hang, especially for journaling or a lazy Sunday with my husband and the crossword. But by the time I left (90 minutes later), I had changed my mind. It was so ridiculously loud! The noise went way beyond the usual coffeeshop sounds of grinding beans, steam from the espresso machine, and the chatter of customers (which are all expected) . At one point, and I'm not exaggerating, it sounded like an airplane was landing inside the coffeeshop. A horrible, continuous, incredibly loud sound like a jet engine .... And it just wouldn't stop! It went on for several, several minutes. At one point my friend paused our conversation and said "My God, what is that?" It ruined our coffee date and made the experience so unpleasant that we just wrapped up our time together and left. To add insult to injury, when we got outside a car alarm was blaring. That is not Hattie's fault, of course, but it didn't change my impression that this is the loudest coffeeshop on earth. I've been to hundreds of coffeeshops, and I've never experienced a prolonged, wretched, grinding-engine sound like this before. I have no idea what it was. It was so bizarre. I had an Arnold Palmer and breakfast sandwich. The lemonade was too tart, but I could have added more sugar so that's not their fault. The sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich was meh, but the pastries looked great (although I didn't have one). Since the staff is wonderful and it is a convenient spot for me, I will go back on a nice day and try the patio. But I can't imagine I will ever try sitting inside again. I'm always scouting out new coffee shops that I have yet to visit in the metro, so I decided that a Sunday drive out to that Village on the Prairie in eastern JoCo would be a great little jaunt to grab some caffeine at Hattie's Fine Coffee Shop. How would you describe Hattie's? Well... it was... fine! I was greeted by a charming young barista and after perusing the big chalkboard menu; I went with the Chai Frappe and added an espresso shot to make it dirty, and some whipped cream to make it naughty. It was cold and creamy with a powerful flavor of the Chai spice additives. It must of had some caffeine, because never once did I doze off while navigating the endless blocks of mid-century suburban sprawl getting home. The space is fairly small and tight, so not somewhere I'd make a destination, but it would be fine for a neighborhood hang-out. read more

Hattie's is a cute, small shop in the corner of the shopping strip. The employees are super helpful as their menu is LONG. Now that I've popped in a couple times, the latte is pretty good, but the breakfast items are where it's at. I tried to work here once, but it's a little small and fills up fast. It gets a bit busy, so the wait time is usually on the long side, but everything is so delicious. Even if it's freezing outside, try a Toddy coffee. It is SO smooth and has a caramel flavor from the slow steep. There are few places that do a steamed egg, but THEY DO. The sandwich I had was incredible. Every steamed egg sandwich is ginormous. Came to this quaint neighborhood cafe in Prairie Village. It definitely gives "neighborhood cafe." You're greeted by very nice baristas who know the locals who are regulars. Kind of darker interior, cozy, and more seating outside than inside. Their menu is pretty vast, with coffee (black, espresso drinks, etc), smoothies, juices, and food options. I got a French press and my husband got an Americano with a breakfast sandwich. Both coffees I thought were standard but wasn't amazing. I do really appreciate they have a French press option as their drip! The sandwich also was fine, but the bread used was kind of weak in its structure so the sandwich kept falling apart. Overall, if I lived close by, I would come more often, but it's not one that I probably will go out of my way on a regular basis. My husband and I tried out this coffee shop today. The staff was friendly and our order was taken immediately. They have a very good menu for choices of fresh juices, a variety of tea and coffee choices. They also have food and quite a few choices of gluten-free pastries, and treats. It was generally quiet and I did not notice any music playing. They have seating indoors and outdoors. The negatives were that the tea was weak, and there was no syrups for added flavoring. I had a pumpkin spiced iced oat milk latte, and it was rather gritty, and it kept getting stuck in my throat. my husband had a gluten-free honey dessert which was good but quite rich. I visited this coffee shop again and will stick with my original consensus for this place. It's great if you are in the area and absolutely have to stop by and meet someone here for coffee, but if you wish to impress them with your coffee connoisseur skills you may reconsider, because again their coffee is on the weak side. The service is nice and quick and pretty much standard. I did notice that they seem to know their regulars by name, as I heard a barista call a customer by name. The first time I entered Hattie's and had a drink of theirs, I was immediately obsessed. The service and attitude from the workers was exceptional and the ambience was well, but then a person that helped disorient my youth with hazing, bullying and worse was hired. I was thankful I was treated (with the exception of the single person) with openness, kindness and gratitude. I stayed for hours working on music projects, producing new sounds I will never forget. After over a year, upon finally confronting the the individual who was part of hazing and verbal abuse of not only me, but one of my former best friends, the next day the safe space I knew turned into a place I could no longer enter. To Hattie's, I say thank you for your kindness, and moreover the lesson I learned that I didn't need to be there or have a cup of coffee to create amazing work. read more

I got the Andy's Candy and it was delicious! They use natural ingredients so the drink wasn't super sweet but tasted very healthy. I also got the rice krispy treat which are made in house. Having worked remote for almost a decade, and having a job that encourages me to explore the city fully, I will say this is not a spot I would seek out unless I'm passing through the area. The coffee really lacks flavor and tastes like hot water that was once near some coffee beans. Additionally, the atmosphere is just OK. We have coffeeshops in this town that are inside beautiful museums, along walking trails, surrounded by the energy of the city, or simply nestled into neighborhoods. This one is in a busy suburban strip center. To their credit, they have a nice side patio for both additional space and to work from. All in all, a place that has the charm of staff getting to know your name if you're a regular, but not a spot I'd seek out unless I lived nearby. read more

There is a good amount of outdoor seating for those nice days and about 7 total 2 person tables and 1 table for 4. The chai latte is delicious and not overly sweet. Whenever I visit this cute little coffee shop, I always order the Poppin Sammie! It's this delicious English breakfast muffin with the works, but the BEST part are the candied jalapeños! I do wish they added a slice of bacon or sausage, but I'm sure you can request it and they'll get it done! They have neat pasties on display at the cashier stand that I have yet to try. They're quick to serve and are friendly with giving out recommendations! Went here after a workout class a few doors down. Was pretty busy. It's a small place and there wasn't any open seating. They offer a good selection of coffees. I ordered the bulletproof coffee which was really good. Had to stand for awhile due to seating issues. Thankfully by the time the food came a table opened up. I got the poppin Sammie which I was underwhelmed with. One of the other guests I was with had a much more appetizing food items. My suggestion is to order a sandwich that has steamed eggs- they looked delicious!! Which I had gotten one with those one on them. My other issue was that the napkins and the hot sauce was all out at the station. Had to request both to be replaced. read more

Hattie's is a great coffee option within walking distance from lots of places in PV! I think my favorite part is that they also have smoothies on the menu! My husband doesn't drink coffee so it's important that wherever I go for coffee there's an alternative for him. I do agree with other reviewers that the indoor benches are pretty uncomfortable and short compared to the height of the tables. However, the regular table seating inside is fine! Hattie's is completely underrated! I have nothing but the sweetest things to say about the baristas there. They were so nice! Going into new shops I'm never really sure what I want, but their menu is awesome and they have all of their available syrups listed on their giant menu. Both lattes that my mom and I got were so good! The patio area is HUGE! It's so nice to sit outside especially when having my kids with me so they have open space to be in. Hattie's has been a permanent fixture in Corinth Square for as long as I can remember. It's on the corner of the strip that runs parallel to Somerset. They offer fresh baked goods and an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. (Photo below.) It's a clean and bright space with restrooms and a fair amount of seating. The vibe is calm and I'll go there to work because it stays pretty quiet. I also like that it's tucked away so there isn't a ton of foot traffic at any given time. The baristas are helpful and will walk you through the menu because it looks a bit daunting at first! I've mentioned in previous reviews that I'm not a coffee snob so can't speak to the overall quality of the beans and how they stack up in the technical sense but I enjoyed my dirty chai! read more

The two most important things to note about Hattie's: Best staff ever, and even better coffee. This is Matthias. Hattie's is one of my favorite places on the entire planet period. Hattie's is nostalgic, Hattie's is love, Hattie's is life. Today I walked in and was greeted by the cutest, bubbliest workers. I ordered some seasonal Thai coffee concoction which turned out to be nothing short of extraordinary (no surprise). All of Corinth Square could burn down and I would not mind as long as Hattie's survived the blaze. Their coffee is so consistently good and I don't think that I can emphasize how much I love the atmosphere enough. There is not a single coffee selection that you will regret choosing. Not to mention the amazing pastries, I had the chocolate cake the other day and it reminded me of the cake that they used to serve at lunch in high school. I don't know about you, but that is a good thing for me. If I could have an entire birthday cake of SMSD student lunch cake I would. But for now, Hattie's cake is a good compromise. There are several seating options inside which are perfect for working or studying, but I definitely prefer the expansive array of outdoor options on hot summer mornings like this. Every moment of my life spent at this establishment is a great one. Everyone who has left anything other than a 5-star review needs to seek psychiatric help. I have tried several concoctions from the extensive Hattie's menu and have always been beyond pleased and caffeinated. I love the matcha with coconut milk, toddy with coconut milk, toddy with SF hazelnut and soy milk, and creative seasonal drinks. As someone who frequents Hattie's Coffee quite often, I have had many experiences with the workers. Every single worker I have encountered over the years has been truly lovely and only adds to the warm, cozy coffee shop vibe. I will be going off to college shortly and while I will miss my friends and family, I will also greatly miss this quaint little gem. Great coffee shop to get work done in! A very cozy space in the Corinth Shopping Center. This was my first time checking out the area, and it's all very nice! I loved the big chalkboard menu and inside booth seating - it had lots of pillows and cushions. There's also a large patio space, perfect for working, meeting and visiting, or letting the kids run around. Tons of food options, including some all day breakfast items. The pastries were really picked over when I arrived around 10:30 AM. I was able to snag a cinnamon roll and try one of their seasonal lattes. The price was really good - a medium, specialty almond milk latte and a cinnamon roll for just over $7 (before tip)! I do wish they had warmed up the cinnamon roll, but it was still tasty! Be careful in the parking lot - lots of the spots in front are 10-15 minutes only! read more
