I'm always scouting out new coffee shops that I have yet to visit in the metro, so I decided that a Sunday drive out to that Village on the Prairie in eastern JoCo would be a great little jaunt to grab some caffeine at Hattie's Fine Coffee Shop. How would you describe Hattie's? Well... it was... fine! I was greeted by a charming young barista and after perusing the big chalkboard menu; I went with the Chai Frappe and added an espresso shot to make it dirty, and some whipped cream to make it naughty. It was cold and creamy with a powerful flavor of the Chai spice additives. It must of had some caffeine, because never once did I doze off while navigating the endless blocks of mid-century suburban sprawl getting home. The space is fairly small and tight, so not somewhere I'd make a destination, but it would be fine for a neighborhood hang-out.

Hattie's Fine Coffee - Prairie Village's Hidden Gem! Looking for a cozy, locally-owned spot that blows Starbucks out of the water? Look no further! Hattie's is where it's at! I ordered the Bacon Me Crazy sandwich (because, well, bacon!)--egg, cheese, and bacon all tucked into a buttery croissant. Sooo delicious! Oh, and if you're in the mood for something fresh and light, don't sleep on The Gretchen--a refreshing juice with cucumber, pineapple, and ginger. Absolutely dreamy. Plus, the service? Super friendly and surprisingly fast, even when they're busy. Hattie's definitely knows how to impress! Skip Starbucks and treat yourself to something special here--you won't regret it!

Hattie's is a cute, small shop in the corner of the shopping strip. The employees are super helpful as their menu is LONG. Now that I've popped in a couple times, the latte is pretty good, but the breakfast items are where it's at. I tried to work here once, but it's a little small and fills up fast. There is a constant flow of traffic, which is great for them, but not the best environment if you need to focus. I love the to-go spots up front for a quick in and out run!

It gets a bit busy, so the wait time is usually on the long side, but everything is so delicious. Even if it's freezing outside, try a Toddy coffee. It is SO smooth and has a caramel flavor from the slow steep. There are few places that do a steamed egg, but THEY DO. The sandwich I had was incredible. Every steamed egg sandwich is ginormous. We had to push some tables together for our group of 4, but know that indoor seating is limited. Shop local when you can!

Came to this quaint neighborhood cafe in Prairie Village. It definitely gives "neighborhood cafe." You're greeted by very nice baristas who know the locals who are regulars. Kind of darker interior, cozy, and more seating outside than inside. Their menu is pretty vast, with coffee (black, espresso drinks, etc), smoothies, juices, and food options. I got a French press and my husband got an Americano with a breakfast sandwich. Both coffees I thought were standard but wasn't amazing. I do really appreciate they have a French press option as their drip! The sandwich also was fine, but the bread used was kind of weak in its structure so the sandwich kept falling apart. Overall, if I lived close by, I would come more often, but it's not one that I probably will go out of my way on a regular basis. However, their beans are well priced and I'm willing to try it!

My husband and I tried out this coffee shop today. The staff was friendly and our order was taken immediately. They have a very good menu for choices of fresh juices, a variety of tea and coffee choices. They also have food and quite a few choices of gluten-free pastries, and treats. It was generally quiet and I did not notice any music playing. They have seating indoors and outdoors. The negatives were that the tea was weak, and there was no syrups for added flavoring. I had a pumpkin spiced iced oat milk latte, and it was rather gritty, and it kept getting stuck in my throat. my husband had a gluten-free honey dessert which was good but quite rich. I had a rice crispy treat which was overly sweet but a generous slice.

I visited this coffee shop again and will stick with my original consensus for this place. It's great if you are in the area and absolutely have to stop by and meet someone here for coffee, but if you wish to impress them with your coffee connoisseur skills you may reconsider, because again their coffee is on the weak side. The service is nice and quick and pretty much standard. I did notice that they seem to know their regulars by name, as I heard a barista call a customer by name. Another little note on this place, it tends to be super busy in the morning. It does taper off after a while.

The hot mocha drink I ordered was absolutely delicious! I would come back to Hattie's for the mocha coffee, but I would also come back just to spend time in this cool and cute space! This is a good spot to work remote at or get some tasks done on your laptop at. There were a lot of people working on their laptops with plenty of additional room on the table and accessibility to outlets. Along with a full coffee and tea menu, there are also little pastries and food items such as the Double Sausage Sandwich that you can order. Looking for a nice coffee shop date spot? Check out Hattie's!

Where have I been. I live down the street and never noticed this fun, busy, happy coffee shop. They made the perfect Iced Lavender Mocha for me. Just the way I like it. The double sausage sandwich was very tasty with white cheddar

Hattie's Fine Coffee has an extensive menu! I went with an iced latte with hazelnut. It was really good and would love to go back to try other things on their menu. The baristas were nice and I got my coffee really fast. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas. I had coffee with a friend and sat inside. It wasn't too loud for conversation, but it didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone either. I think it's great for catching up with a friend or reading a book/ getting work done!

Andy's Candy and Rice Krispy treat

Hattie's is a really cute and chill coffee shop. They have a very large selection of foods and drinks on the menu including smoothies, juices, and lunch options. I got the Andy's Candy and it was delicious! They use natural ingredients so the drink wasn't super sweet but tasted very healthy. I also got the rice krispy treat which are made in house. I enjoyed it as it wasn't too sweet and had the right amount of crunch. Customer service was amazing and the staff were friendly!

Enjoyed a latte out on the patio. The indoor area is a little tight but plenty of space to spread out on the patio. Coffee was good!

Their prices are also a lot more reasonable compared to most boba shops in the area. Their milk tea is delicious and their blended drinks are so refreshing. I've tried everything on the menu and my favorites are: 1. Mint To Be -- a super tasty matcha milk tea with refreshing mint flavor. It's great with brown sugar boba. 2. Ari Godness -- a classic brown sugar boba milk (it doesn't have tea, so no caffeine) with delicious flan and boba. I love the textures of both toppings. 3. Peach On Da Beach -- amazingly rich and flavorful peach tea with peach chunks. So good on a hot day. 4. Frozen Sunrise -- refreshing sweet and tangy smoothie that goes really well with fruity popping boba. 5. I'm Panda Frappe -- incredible drink blended with oreo that is great for a chocolate craving. Brown sugar boba is good in this too, but not necessary. Honorable mentions are the Oh My Taro, Hokkaido milk tea, and Deep Blue Sea!! Seriously the best boba place around. I feel at home there!

It takes up most of the store and is easily bigger than the back counter area. Seemed a little out of place, but who am I to judge, i'm more mentioning it as it almost gave me pause. Wanting an after dinner treat I walked the few miles here and sitting in a strip mall I was expecting more cafe vibes rather than chuck e cheese. Granted there weren't any kids here, the rest of the decor was pretty appropriate to a boba cafe. Menu was large, clear. Prices were affordable (aside from the disproportionately high tax rate). Service was friendly and quick. Serving sizes were large, weren't overloaded with ice and foams. I was hoping to get offerings on sweetness levels as Boba places are notoriously sweet or even caffeine offering levels. I was hoping for the hokaido sugar milk tea, but went with the milk tea with the flan and boba which was a nice change of getting just boba added. I'll definitely be returning as it's the only boba place in walking distance.
