This place is truly amazing…read more One day my girlfriend and I entered this store and we were greeted by very friendly baristas. I haven't always been a big coffee drinker, but my girlfriend said there used to be a drink called the Hospital Hill. It's essentially the Honeycomb with Cinnamon. Ever since that day, I've been hooked (I prefer it made hot. Absolute game changer). Not only is the coffee good, but the staff is friendly, personable, and helpful which means a lot to me. There's a lot of staff to name, so I'll leave it off this review, but they have all been exemplary and I believe they make this place great. I highly suggest coming here and grabbing yourself a coffee. It's also a nice and relaxing environment to study or do homework. The lighting is dark enough that it's not interfering too much with whatever activity you're doing in the moment. I will definitely be returning here.

The amount I paid for the croissant and how large it appeared, you'd think it was filled with chocolatey goodness--it was disappointing to say the least, to find there were two measly strips inside; hardly worth the $5.75 I paid. The fact it came in an Ibis Bakery bag made me even more sad, thinking a reputable bakery would have lived up to its status. However, it's possible Ibis Bakery no longer has standards--so this part of a negative review is for them. Two stars for the pastry. :( The Roasterie Cafe in Leawood, however, was great! The coffee was delicious and the baristas were amazing. They helped me pick a new whole bean coffee and were friendly. As this was a grab and go effort, the place was busy, but I didn't stay, so as to the ambiance, about what you'd expect from a small cafe. Quaint but kind of packed. :)

The iced latte I got was delicious, and I was so glad that they had decaf espresso as an option since I can't typically have caffeine. I also love that they have baked goods that are both gluten free and vegan- as someone who is allergic to eggs, and who has family members who can't have gluten, this is a huge plus! (Note: I am unsure of their specific cross contamination risks, so be sure to ask staff for more details if needed). There were great seating options (I chose one of the couches, which was so comfy!), and the employees were all very friendly. Overall I definitely recommend this cafe and will be visiting again!

It's shaded because it's on the backside. I ended up getting an iced Blue Moon Latte, Full Moon sweetness and hot moon matcha to go. Both with oat milk. Their signature sweet cream and oak coffee was good. Since I asked for light ice, it was definitely more milk so the flavor was light, just a hint. My mom liked her matcha just fine.

The coffee and the coffee drinks are really outstanding, the vibe (yes, I know everybody says 'vibe' these days) is excellent, and Pilgrim certainly has a solid local brand/following. I have had the pleasure of coming here on one of the Caffeine Crawls in the Kansas City area, and their demonstration and pride in their product did not disappoint. Lots of space to spread out, with even some smaller bistro tables on the sidewalk area, and a good atmosphere for focus. The last couple of times I have been into Pilgrim, the line stretched to the door frame. That is not a bad thing, because clearly Pilgrim is a destination, but it makes for a messy bit of throughput. Call me old & crabby, but hey, my orders are simple and I really just want to get my fabulous coffee and go. Handy intel: the homemade Pop-Tart thingys are worth the flaky mess, so yummy! Parking is super easy, because out here in the 'burbs, we have lots of space. Pricing is very fair, less than three bucks for a cup of great coffee, or go a little over $5 for a wonderful pourover. It's a great spot and has held down their space for quite awhile, and it's easy to see why.

The space is large, bright and well decorated with plenty of seating - chairs, benches, couches, lounge seats. Some of the seating is sectioned out well and would make for a cozy conversation or study spot. Their pastry options were extensive and unique, both sweet and savory options. I'll have to try one on my next trip. Today, I ordered a pistachio latte that had some pretty excellent foam. They use Monin syrups, which is my preference (second to house made syrups, of course).

I saw that it was a newly opened coffee shop, and I had to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did! I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte with both hazelnut and pistachio syrups, alongside their chicken and cheese bake. The bake is a warm, doughy pocket stuffed with shredded chicken and cheese. It was very flavorful and very filling. I would've loved it even more if it were piping hot instead of just warmed, but it still got the job done! As for the drink-- The pistachio flavor definitely overpowered the hazelnut flavor, but since I love pistachios, I didn't mind it as much as I would typically. Overall, Geo's Café is a lovely new spot with a great selection of small bites and a very spacious, yet quiet atmosphere that's perfect for anyone looking to work or study. I highly recommend giving it a visit!
