I heard about this place for years. I decided to give them a try. I really appreciated this place. A wide selection of cigars for a shop that makes their own cigars. Their humidor was impressive. A huge selection, however the cigars I purchased (Maduros) burned unevenly and unraveled. They cracked a little. Maybe it was just a bad batch. I won't critique them too harshly. I really liked the shop and the guy who helped me was knowledgeable and welcoming. A great shop/lounge, I "will" give them another try and reevaluate in the future. read more

Awesome costumer service. The ambiance and the smell of great cigars draws you in. The Gentleman at the counter was extremely helpful and helped me pick some cigars to smoke and celebrate my birthday along with a few xmas gifts aswell. I will definitely come back to this shop when I'm in town and also purchase on line since I'm so far away. Over priced Chinese import accessories, (ashtrays, cases, humidors, etc) mixed in with some higher quality stuff. New to cigar smoking, so not experienced with rating cigars. But, what I've tried so far, I do like. And the prices are good. The atmosphere was great. I will be back to purchase cigars. read more

Absolutely the best cigars in the region. Every time I'm in Reno, I stop in. Even though my stops are infrequent, the young woman behind the counter always recognizes me. Their Cognac cigars are the best I've ever smoked. Full bodied, rich, and flavorful. They're a family-run establishment that's been in business for quite some years, growing their own tobacco and marketing them through this beautiful little smoke shop right off of Virginia St. The place is very class and the staff are always eager to educate you about their products. I love the fact that so many cigar snobs think that they discovered Hatuey cigars. They are all posting on the many cigar sites about how great this "new" company is. The oldest post about them I could find was from back in 2007. Well I myself have been buying cigars from here since my 18th birthday party in 2000, and they were here before then. They have the greatest cigars, best pricing, and most competent/helpful staff. I just purchesed the celebration cigars for my newest son and decided to fill my humidor as well. If you are in the area and are looking for great cigars go to Hatuey. I drive from Dayton which is about 45-60 minutes away to get my cigars here. Always well worth the drive. read more

While visiting reno I discovered these great cigars. After discovering Cigar Dave on the radio 14 years ago I've been enjoying fine premium cigars ever since. These cigars are among some of the best cigars I've had. Smooth medium taste , a fine cigar aroma, even burn to the finish. The prices are very reasonable. My all-time favorite cigar store. I used to come in here quite often when I lived in the Reno area and miss it now that I've moved. This bullshit ass place. I show up here at 8pm on a Saturday, the guy says they're closed. I point to his sign that says open til 9 pm sat and he says sorry. Yea no we're closed. I should also put here that this was a stop for my bachelor party weekend in Reno and we called ahead to make sure the place was open and available. Only to get there and have him tell me their closed when we got there early. read more

i met a man in Norman Okla at a great cigar store( i can't remember the name in Norman BUT it's on the north side of O.U. ( this store is one of the best shop I've been to ever, ,talk about aged cigar's they have some of the first brand that are over 40years old) but i met a man named Alan (a older gent) and he told me of Hatuey Cigar Company in Reno NV( Silvia the owner is outstanding).... back to the story and Allan told me some thing's about cigar's i had never heard about. & so i e-mailed Hatuey Cigar CO and ordered what he suggested me to and( they are by-far the best cigars i have ever smoked for the style,flavor,and BURN,,,oh the flavor. they are one of my top elite cigars in my humidor.i was so impressed that i can't even tell you anything "but" they are top of the line period. fast s/h. each cigar i swear is hand inspected & the burn, the flavor is ( just call and talk to the people there and they will make you very happy. i won't insult the owner by rating these cigars due to the very unique style they are. i love these cigars and ******** just give them a try, tell them Max from Texas told you about them. god bless our troops read more
