Staff explained there own cigar that they made. The humidor was big and had a great selection. There is a good seating area. I picked out 4 cigars. Visited this establishment last Friday. Great lounge for a great smoke. If you you're looking for a cool spot to just relax, do some reading, work on the laptop, or maybe just shoot the sh*t with others in the lounge, this is a great spot. The cigars are its own brand. But a huge variety of different options from full bodied to medium to light. Churchill, rubusto torpedo. Whatever your preference. Had two sticks here both were very good. Great smoke. A great draw on both. Nice little spice. Just great cigars. And honestly the prices are very reasonable. It has a few different seating areas. Great leather couches, super comfortable and trays, lighters and cutters available in all areas. The host was cool, professional yet laid back and just enjoyed a good smoke as well. They don't serve liquor here however you're welcomed to bring in your own drink and enjoy it with their cigars. So that's a nice feature as well. Very clean place. Great decor. A good cigar lounge IMO should have nice people, a knowledgable person working, and give you the option to just hang out if you want to. You get to know people in atmospheres like this. Hatuey's is the single best cigar experience I have ever had. Family owned for a while! They have a HUGE selection and Ares, the person who was working when I was there is one of the best guys you could hang out with. I was there for at least 2 hours. Learned his life story. Watched a soccer match. Laughed and BS'd the whole time. The experience is what makes a good cigar place and you won't find a better one! The cigars (multiple) I smoked were all good and I learned about how they are made, what makes them different, what makes them better or worse depending on your pallet...and got a course in Cuban coffee too! They will do whatever you need to accommodate you at this place. If you've got time to kill, or if you just want to pop in you'll be welcomed! When you have a place where the guy knows most people who come in by name because they are regulars, it's not from the merchandise, it's from the people you're with! This place is freaking awesome. I heard it was the best cigar place in town from my coworker, so on my lunch break I went over and checked it out. The walk in humidor is super nice. All of their cigars are neatly displayed and labled. They have big comfy couches where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your cigar. The staffs were very nice. I first stumbled upon Hatuey, purely by accident, in Reno NV. Not only was it a great place to get restaurant recommendations from the locals (retired police & firefighters frequent the establishment & often secure a personal locker there), but I found Sylvia to be knowledgeable, helpful & delightful. I love the fact that they only represent tobacco that they grow, roll & purvey. Not only does this keep the prices down, but the quality up. So every time we'd vacate in Reno I'd stock up. When we moved to Sacramento 3 years ago, you could imagine my delight to learn that they had a establishment right here in the River City. I found Maria to be just as wonderful as her counter part in Reno. If you get the chance to enjoy a cigar in one of the comfy leather chairs, make sure to ask Maria about her experiences growing up in Cuba: fascinating. She will also make you tight cup of espresso. Happened into this place with my friend, we both knew the location from years ago when it was Casillas then another place.. Wanted a cool place to smoke a nice cigar.. the Casillas down the street was having AC issues and are a bit pricey. Wow Great smokes, great prices.. Sean made us some fantastic coffee.
