Just came here tonight on 10/19, it was our first time here. We both ordered a build your own poké bowl, I liked that they had eel as an option! Their included toppings and sauces without any extra charges is a plus for poke places. Their portions are also very filling! Most poké places I go to, I run out of protein so fast but surprisingly here I had got full before finishing my protein. They also offer either a free miso soup or a fried spring roll with your bowl order. The decor on the walls is very cute. I do wish they had some fresh fruit options for smoothies but I understand it's hard to maintain freshness. Our server/cashier was very sweet and did a great job. The one with short black hair took care of our order from start to finish and checked us out. I'll definitely come back and eat more poké! read more

Went to Choctaw casino one weekend and decided to stay in Dennison because the hotel rooms were cheaper. Tried this place out for dinner because bestie and I wanted poke bowls. We got there and one person was in line. The employee was working, but, this person was slow. Accurate, but, slow. We ordered our two bowls and drinks, all the while, other people started coming through the door. There was another employee/maybe manager seated at a table and he did not bother to get up and help. Those customers became angry and were talking but the guy never got up to come help. The service could have been better from that standpoint. Overall, the food was pretty decent with the spicy Miso Soup with shrimp that I ordered that cost $12.99. Although when I arrived there, the service was somewhat slow but busy since so many people arrived at the same time so they kept pace. Clean bathrooms with a wall of sticky notes of people who like it. The only thing that could be bad was the water jug that you can take free cups was dirty since so many people used it but it wasn't too bad. read more

I must admit this I was very skeptical to try a raw fish place in the Sherman area for a number of reasons. But I was DYING for a Poke Bowl and decided to bite the bullet with my man-child. Fist off, very clean place, bathrooms are big and very nice, area is small, appropriately busy, and appears many people order for takeout. Hmmm good stuff. Ok. So the sign of a good coconut rice is being able to smell the coconut, before you taste it. Check! Only negative, they have two sashimi salmon and tuna... so I hope they have more later. Although they do have multiple cooked items such as scallops, shrimp, eel, and tofu. They also have Bobo TEA (Oh MY HEART!) *please be good please taste good* Anyways, no limit to your toppings... Uber big bonus. No extra fee for sesame seed, second big bonus! Free unsweet tea! What?!?!?! And free Miso with purchase of bowl! What the WHAT?!?! Went in today to get some poke, even though I was warned that this place has the worst customer service. I still wanted to go and give them a chance, but I didn't even stay to place an order. From the second I walked in, I got no hello or smile. The girl who was making the bowls had her back towards the customers and was clearly eating. Im sure if the manager checks the camera, he will see it for himself, too. The girl was chewing something as if she was eating, then started fixing bowls at the same time. I smiled a few times, and she had no intention of smiling back or saying hello or acknowledging that a customer was there or that I was present. I completely understand that they have people there. Two women were in front of me, but a simple hello does not hurt. Then a male walked out and started making poke burritos. He looked straight at me and again did not say hello, did not say we will be with you in a second. He didn't smile. He just simply didn't care. Eveyone except the cashier looked like they did not want to be there. I kept waiting and waiting and finally just said if they can't even acknowledge a customer, then I can go eat somewhere else. I picked the Wasabi Coast with coconut rice and it has a generous amount of shrimp and scallops. I like the coconut rice but I was expecting spicy and it was not spicy at all. The flavors of the shrimp, green onion, and other toppings came through with the sauce that they did use. The Boba Thai Tea was great and definitely worth a stop! I visited Hau'oli Poke today for lunch. The poke bar was a clean environment with a wide selection of ingredients. There is indoor seating but not designed as a cafe or restaurant; it's more of a deli. If you are new to Poke the staff are very helpful. All around the food is good and I will return. read more

While I'm NOT getting the whole "burrito" component to the sushi bowl concept- I didn't walk away disappointed or hungry! This was my first time to try Hau'oli Poke (aka- "The Pokey" place, as my husband has dubbed it), we ventured to do the DIY bowl concept. (Think of it as Subway or Chipotle meets sushi) We each picked 3 proteins- I choose spicy salmon, shrimp and baked eel. (Baked eel that's actually torched in front of you, so it's not REALLY baked- but think of it as a sideshow hibachi for a dose of live food prep cooking) The Sarachi Aioli was a great touch of spice for me (my chapped lips are indicating it was a bit much for them, but it was good nonetheless). Clean bathrooms (best bathroom signage ever!!), clean, well kept serving and eating spaces, very friendly staff that walk you through your first visit! The questionables for me: - Food temp of the proteins, didn't feel like it was as cold as it should have been considering it is raw fish. (I'm fairness- the baked/torched eel may have warmed it up, I dunno) - the Cream cheese and Avocado looked suspicious, so I opted to not get those two items a try. read more

They're bowls pretty good, presentation needs a bit of tidying and refilling (almost didn't know what items were in the empty looking buffet bin). It was nice to see a place that had unagi (eel) as a protein, it was really tasty. The sushi rice was good, but I wished that I could have asked for a sample of the coconut rice... sounded interesting. One less star as their tonkotsu ramen was terrible. No flavor, VERY bland. Starving driving back from Arkansas to Arlington, Tx after visiting bf's mom for Thanksgiving. Look up Yelp and found a couple cool places along the way but this one caught our eye for we are originally from California. Yes the girl's name is Destiny and she did a pretty good job! Nice size poke - we pretty much had almost everything in the bowl. I ordered the boba matcha green tea and I like that it's not too sweet, for once. We are not into sugar #ketolifestyle. I would recommend asking if client want the tempura with tail or not instead of assuming that I don't like it. I like the crunchy tails! We are glad we stopped here. Highly recommend. Bathroom is very clean as it should! Keep up the good work. Price is affordable for the portion. Nice healthy venue for the locals, that's for sure! read more

Tried this place out when I came home to visit my family. We have one in round rock that I really enjoy. They were lacking some of the things I like and I would pass on the cream cheese. I couldn't believe we had poké in Sherman, and it turns out it was better than my regular place in Dallas! My favorite part was the salmon, it was very fresh and fatty. The shrimp was way over cooked, but the coconut rice, crab salad, and tons of toppings make up for it. Very reasonable pricing, about $10 for a bowl with two proteins, as many toppings as you want, including pineapple, mango, and crab salad (avocado and cream cheese are $1 extra, but most places in Dallas also charge for crab salad and fruit!) Their poke bowl is awesome. I haven't been to a lot of poke places that have eel or spicy crawfish options, and they were both delicious. The shrimp tempura was great as well! Overall they have a huge selection of toppings, sauces, and mix-ins. I recommend the mango, orange, and pineapple with any bowl. They add some great freshness and flavor. I also checked out their milk tea drinks. I've tried the Jasmine and the Rose. I thought the Jasmine was a little too sweet and artificial tasting (never in my life have I seen jasmine tea be that shade of green lol), but the Rose milk tea was very refreshing. read more

Oh my god! This place is awesome! We were coming home to metroplex from Oklahoma and stopped by Hauoli to pick up food on the go. We placed order online and picked them up. Honestly for the price, we were not expecting much. $10 poke sounded too good to be true. But to our surprise, the food was delicious and portion was super generous! We have two kids ages 7&4 and ordered kids size but my big eaters barely finished half. I got myself two protein but I got too full and couldn't finish. All the food cost $35 for 4 of us and it was more than enough to fill us up. We had lunch on the same at sonic and spent $30. This is a lot more healthy and hearty option. I'd definitely come back every time we go to Oklahoma! Too bad we don't live close, otherwise we would be coming here every month! read more
