Aperol Spritz & House Cabernet happy hour yay
    Robyn V.

Stopped in for a tasty beverage which happened to be impromptu happy hour on a Sunday night at 8pm! Buy one get one free! Usually happy hour is 5-7 but perhaps on Sunday they bend the rules to encourage more business. Mom got the house Cab ($16, so $8 each on HH), and I got the Aperol Spritz, which was very tasty! $19, so $9.50 on HH - it's fabulously refreshing. Ambiance outside on the patio is perfect - music just the right volume and Cuban of course. People watching galore! Sheyla was our darling server and she is just delightful. Will definitely come back for food on a night we don't have a reservation! Great job Havana beach crew!

Cuban sandwich with extra fries in the basket (not necessary for extra fries, it already comes with the tiny fries).

I thought this was a really great cuban restaurant on south beach. It had a cute tables set up with the yellow umbrellas and heaters for the chillier night, and the service was friendly: they frequently checked on us and came by often to clean up our plates. There can be a small language barrier with some of the servers who came to refresh our drinks, but overall they were all very kind and attentive. I had the Cuban sandwich which had a generous amount of pork and cheese and was quite delicious. I didn't understand that the Cuban sandwich already came with small fries, so don't be like me and order another side of fries. Overall, really delicious food and nice service. I'm also pretty sure this is part of a chain of 'Havana' restaurants that I've ate at before like the other Havana restaurants nearby on south beach and in Miami.

We were excited to try this spot out. Couple of things didn't go as we hoped for. The service was a big factor here. She literally never checked on us. One of the plates went back as it was not cooked as expected. I had the red snapper. That was pretty good. The burger was a mess. The fries were drowned in cheese that we did not order. The buns and fries were soggy.

Well I know I am on South Beach in a touristy location so if I am eating here I expect what comes with being on this area. I am not sure why all the bad reviews the service was very good honestly and the food was fresh and delicious! I had the shrimp ceviche appetizers and it was absolutely delicious. For lunch I went with the old reliable Cuban sandwich! There was loads of meat, great flavor, fresh bread and seasoning. We split sides of tostones , plantains, and black beans and rice. All three tasted authentic and fresh! We had the medium mojito which was large enough for two people! The view was amazing sitting on ocean avenue! I would definitely come back for lunch!

Tried Havana Beach while on a weekend vacation in Miami and I ordered the Roaster Pork Cuban Style. There were a few good bites (the fattier pieces) but overall, it was a bit dry. Portions are on the smaller side for the price point. I did really enjoy the boiled yuca - thought that was really delicious. The service was good and the you get to enjoy all the energy going on outside with their outdoor seating.

Accommodating, friendly staff made for a nice night out. Ate on the patio underneath umbrellas while it softly rained watching the people go by. We enjoyed the yuca con mole and paella but both were slightly too salty. The drinks were reasonably priced, tasty and strong.

Liked the yuca con mojo a lot. Paella was fine but could be less salty and the lemon juice doesn't really cut the salt much. Mojito was strong and sweet without being cloyingly sweet. Service was good. Prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. If I came back it would be to try the Cuban sandwich or slider trio.

The food was SO GOOD!! Service was great! Great music! Mostly like spanish b/c hello it is a Cuban restaurant. I just wanted to stop by and eat something quick. So we tried their appetizers only. We had the chicken wings and fries with the homemade Cuban empanadas. SUPER DELICIOUS!! I would recommend them! Glad we stopped by. It was actually like next door to our hotel Avalon. I wish I could have tried more of their menu because everything just looked and smelled so good! I will def have to stop by again!!

Mom and I wanted some good food after a Savanna's Bananas game in Miami. We stumbled upon Havana Beach and the food was delicious. The outdoor seating was super cool and decorated with flowers and nice lights. Plants everywhere too. I got the sangria which was tasty! We split the cubano and the fries which was so yummy. Our favorite part of the meal was the sliders! The meats was so tender and juicy! Loved it! These service was quick and I could tell the servers enjoyed that night as they were dancing to the music played!

The ceviches were all pretty similar, with the exception of the coconut one. They were tangy, citrusy, and good, but every single one was begging for some spice. If you're ordering ceviche, I'd skip the mixed seafood and stick with the fish-only options. The red snapper was easily my favorite dish of the night. Deboned, fried to perfection, and presented beautifully. My sparkling wine paired perfectly with it. The salmon sashimi was also delightful. Overall, come for the classic ceviche and the fried fish. Those are the standouts. Just don't expect your 20% gratuity to include help boxing up your leftovers.

The food quality is much higher than many of the local Cuban or Peruvian restaurants. Huaman Lee Tiradito: This is my kinda of sashimi! It's different from ceviche in that the raw fish doesn't sit and "cook" in the sauce, it's just a last minute pairing. Which means full freshness and full flavor! Vaca Frita: A pretty good rendition of vaca frita. It resembled a proper steak cut, instead of just a mound of pulled beef. Though it still had that same texture and marinated taste. The onion-centric warm salsa on top livened up the flavor. The rice, beans and plantains made it feel like a comfort Cuban meal. Pargo a lot Macho: Wow! Just wow! Perhaps the best Red Snapper I've had in town. And I do love me some Red Snapper when I visit South Beach. To begin with, their snapper was huge. They deboned the meat, coated it in batter, deep fried it, and reassembled it next to the deep fried bony body. The yellow sauce was a great companion to all the fried fish. Plus they added some clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in the yellow sauce to make it very indulgent. Glad they put some fried yuca sticks in the mix too, since those are much better than French fries. Pisco Sour (Passionfruit): The nice pisco sour rum flavor base enhanced with vibrant passionfruit. Only downside is that they seemed to skimp on the foam a bit, compared to what I saw other people get in their regular pisco sour.
