Cool little spot to grab your morning cafe, pastries, and breakfast food. But they also have fruit smoothie-type drinks, pork sandwiches, and such! I had a bite of the pork sandwhich and while not like how my Cuban grandmother made it exactly, the pork itself defintely had that Cuban flavor to it. The espresso is just okay. The cafe con leche is also okay. I like how mi abuela did it better. She simply would pour a bit of sweetened condensed milk into the coffee. The cappuccino was decent, but served extremely hot. I had to wait longer than I wanted to enjoy it, and that wasn't before I burned my tounge. There is some outdoor seating as well as indoor. Inside, the far wall has lots of family photos of the (Cuban) owners and their family. The photos gave it a nice personal and cultural feel. The staff is all friendly and helpful. I've been there twice so far and had great service both times. One interesting thing is there is this mysterious large puddle on the sidewalk outside the door and therefore, no one can really use the outdoor table in that area. Hopefully they can remedy this puddle situation so the table can be used and also for nicer asthetics. I hope this place has years and years of success and only gets better with time. Found a nice little Cuban Cafe today based off of good reviews from the locals so I decided to give Havana Dreamers Cafe a try. I'm so glad we decided to as the moment we walked in the door you could smell the amazing aromas of Pulled Pork and Cuban Sandwiches being Made. The menu is mostly sandwiches with a few entree dishes and super reasonably priced. The places was packed with people and the staff was super friendly! Always a good indicator your at a great place to eat. I had the Pulled Pork with rice & beans to much delight. Very flavorful and will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. If you live in the New Port Richie area and haven't tried this, you definitely should. What a great place and sure to be a local hot spot for lunch! read more

Service with a lot of snottiness! I came in and was excited to see guava pastries in the menu. Was immediately told by the young girl in a curt voice, "we're out of those!" I asked for 2 coffees and a can of coke for my son. She waved a hand at the cooler and told my son, "cokes are over there, go get one." WTF?? We ordered the Tampa, Miami, and a large sweetened Cuban coffee just to try. The total came out to $16. It's quite a lot of food for the price. Just moved from Cali to Odessa, Florida. and thought for a second after seeing this restaurant.. omg found a cuban place ( 3 miles or so from my home).. well not so fast.. the rice and beans super nasty, the picadillo beyond nasty.. the cuban sandwich is ok, not outstanding but ok.. on another note they have on their time that they close at 4pm.. well don't bother going pass 3pm, as they will not serve you.. the counter lady said oh no we close at 4pm and everything is picked up... never again! read more

Being Hispanic (not too many authentic places in Trinity/Odessa area), decided to check out this hidden gem, especially after reading so many rave reviews and let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! My husband and I tried out the Miami and Tampa Cubans (good portion that you can save other half for dinner). Both were very delicious. The Miami Cuban pork was perfectly seasoned and juicy. I preferred the Tampa Cuban with the salami. For us, normally, we split our meals and if we did so on this trip, we would be leaving under $10; the portions are a plus too. Moving onto the coffee... So delicious, hubby stepped way outa the box and ordered the sloppy Cuban, now he's a big man, but no match for this sandwich, for me the Tampa Cuban. The best authentic Cuban I've ever had! Wow. Ok I'm super confused about all the rave reviews for this place. I TRULY AM!! I have been wanting to try this place for a few years now and I finally did!! I ordered through grub hub. I ordered plantains they were cancelled .. we'll ok I guess sometimes you don't have it? The chicken empanada inside was yummy but my empanada was undercooked and the dough was soggy. Also got the ham& cheese croquettes (you would think they would be made from potatoes ham and cheese. I really can't tel you what was inside this hard weird battered shell (the shell stayed in shape the inside was like a stick inside not attached.. so you know it's FROZEN! But inside was just brown like you couldn't tell what it was! Dry hard waste of my money. The Tampa Cuban! I was so excited for this salami ham pulled pork yum! Hahah haha WHAT A JOKE!! I picked up the sandwich and it dropped GREASE!! I have never ever seen or eaten a greasy Cuban. It was disgusting the pork was no flavor they gave me prices of fat and rubbery skin and peeling it off I had like no pork lol. 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of salami! 1!!!! On each half I was floored I didn't even taste the salami when I bit into the side that was less greasy but after just 2 bites I couldn't do it. The smoothie was pure mango and sugar. It's fake fruit juices not real. I was in the bathroom all night from this food!!! BEWAREEEEEEE. This place is greasy gross and it's sad! Unless you are a resident of the Longleaf community, you would not likely have ever encountered this place. I'm sure glad that I did! Apparently they are only open from early breakfast (6:30 AM) through late lunch (4:00 PM). The menu is short and sweet. My Roast Pork Meal ($7.50) was indeed a meal! The pork was moist, tender, and plentiful. The black beans and yellow rice were quite tasty as well. The only thing that kept the plate from reaching perfection was perhaps a few pieces of fried plantains, and a wedge of lime. Luckily for us, they weren't too busy and we were able to order right away and grabbed a table outside to wait for our food. They had a great menu, lots of coffee options. We both ordered their pressed Cuban breakfast sandwiches and were pleased. I'd say my only 'complaint' was what appeared to be American cheese.
