    Steak Sandwich "Lomito"
    Lawrence H.

Got the Steak Sandwich "Lomito" (comes with a bag of chips). It was a very delicious sandwich. The bread had a nice soft texture. The meat was tender, juicy and had a nice charred taste. Service was very friendly and prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have tables for dining both inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No issues in parking.

I love Argentinean empanadas! There baked, filling & delicious! They look very similar to Filipino empanadas. Which is also my fav. Staff is nice . This is also a mini market/ meat market. One stop shop :)

They sell empanadas here as they have a kitchen in the back as well as other Argentinian dishes. The empanadas are decent, nothing special. They have beef, chicken and other options. They are reasonably priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly staff and they have an area to eat as well as a big television.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

7/24/24 Just a quick perusal! Walked in & walked out in about 5 minutes, enough to take a few photos of what the place has to offer. They make sandwiches here & have about 5 tables with chairs to enjoy your order. There are additional outdoor seating, too. The small store with the small meat/deli offers quality meats. My girlfriend said their chorizo is really good. Looking at how the shop is maintained, it appears to be well cared for. The aisles & shelves are very organized & neat. Next time we're in the neighborhood, will buy to try their chorizo.

Spicy beef and spicy chicken empanadas. So good!

Yoooo the empanadas here are sooooooo good! Was in the area to do some work and stopped by this place for lunch. Haven't had empanadas in a while and figured I'd give them a try. Man... the exterior is baked perfectly. Had the spicy beef and chicken (prefer the beef) and they were full of flavor and good amount of stuffing. I gotta becareful bc if I don't self regulate my wallet will get lighter and my belly heavier Muchas Gracias!

Customer service was amazing. Interesting flavor from other empanadas that I've tried. In both the beef and chicken there was half of a boiled egg and one large green olive. The bold flavor I'm accustomed too wasn't there, they were missing that (close my eyes and say mmmm comment upon first bite!) Either way, they have a variety of food options for you to try and again, customer service was amazing!

The décor has a warm, rustic charm that immediately made us feel comfortable. The staff was outstanding from start to finish. Courteous, friendly, and very attentive without being overbearing. For our appetizer, we ordered the Burrata & Fig (I forgot to take a picture!). It was the perfect size for two people to share and was beautifully presented on a wooden board with fresh bread, arugula, creamy burrata, and a delicious fig spread. Every bite was fantastic. For our entrées, I ordered the pepperoni pizza and added extra pepperoni and extra cheese since I'm a huge fan of both. My husband had the Al Pesto with chicken. Both dishes were exceptional and packed with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything tasted fresh. The portions were very generous, we couldn't finish our meals and happily took the leftovers home. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert! I ordered the Chocolate Grande Cake, and my husband got the Chocolate Carrot Cake. Even though we were stuffed, we took them to go, and I'm so glad we did. They were incredibly rich, moist, and delicious. We were definitely in chocolate heaven! Our bill came to about $120 before tip, which included the appetizer, two entrées, and two desserts. Considering the generous portions, excellent service, and overall quality of the food, I thought it was well worth it. From the food and service to the atmosphere, Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine exceeded our expectations. We were so impressed that we'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. If you're looking for a cozy restaurant with delicious food, generous portions, and outstanding service, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It definitely deserves all 5 stars!

The service was excellent throughout. Our server was attentive, friendly, and managed our large group without a hitch. I originally planned to order one of the salmon bowls, but a friend pointed out that all the chicken is certified halal. That changed my mind, and I ordered the Grilled Chicken on Fire (Cajun) instead. This is a big plus for the Muslim community in the area. It's not always easy to find restaurants with certified halal options, so I really appreciate that Bossa Nova offers them. I have already recommended this place to several friends, and they will definitely check it out. For my sides, I chose the roasted vegetables, sweet potato fries, and plantains. Everything was delicious. The Cajun seasoned chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The plantains were fried perfectly, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the roasted vegetables complemented everything nicely. I also ordered a Guaraná Zero, which added a nice touch to the meal and is something you don't find at many places. I really enjoyed the atmosphere too. They had the FIFA World Cup playing on the TVs, so it was fun to watch the matches while having dinner with friends. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Great food, excellent service, halal options, and a fun atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

We made a reservation, mentioned on the phone that it was a birthday, and reminded them again when we arrived. They seated us, handed us... one menu for the table, and left us to contemplate our life choices. About 30 minutes later after we started wondering if our server had transferred to another restaurant, I had to track down a manager just to get someone to greet us. To his credit, he apologized and comped our first round of drinks and an appetizer, which was appreciated. Unfortunately that was the only redeemable detail of this whole experience. . The menu was surprisingly limited and they were already out of the ceviche. The ocean view? Gorgeous. The service? More elusive than Ted Cruz during state emergencies. Our cocktails were around $20 each and served in plastic cups. I kept waiting for someone to tell me the real glasses were coming. They weren't. The appetizers finally arrived, and then... silence. Another 30 minutes passed and no one had checked on us. Once again, I had to flag someone down just to order another round because apparently making eye contact was the restaurant's version of table service. The food itself wasn't worth the wait. The nachos genuinely reminded me of Taco Bell not as an insult to Taco Bell, which at least knows exactly what it is. The calamari was actually decent, but it couldn't carry the rest of the meal. We were on our way to the Lil Wayne concert at the amphitheater afterward, so abandoning ship wasn't really an option. By the time we finished even after they comped an appetizer and our first round, two more appetizers and three cocktails still came to $127. We asked them to validate our parking. They took the ticket, came back and told us it was validated. We pulled out of the parking lot.. and still got charged $45. The concert which unlike dinner was awesome. Long Beach has too many fantastic restaurants to spend your money here. I'd happily come back for the view. I'd just eat literally anywhere else first. We'll call it even since my bestie puked all over their parking lot upon our departure. Did ya'll know cutwaters were so lethal? TF. Ps.. party of 3 and they added a required 20% gratuity???

It was very accomodating since everywhere else was packed! We wanted to find some shade as well since it was 90 degrees outside. In parallel to this event, there was a city event going on at the same time called Beach Streets. That event was awesome as well! We were hungry so we posted up here from our bike ride. My wife and I got ID'd just to come in. Why ID if it is a restaurant, did not make sense? We did not have a host to sit us. Sit as you see was the service provided. Once we sat the waiter took our order. We wanted Sangria but come to find out they had nothing in stock. A restaurant that is Spanish desent and has FIFA world cup soccer being televised with out Sangria wine. Big surprise there!. We ordered a pitcher of Margarita. 10 mins to drop off and took another 17 minutes for our waiter to take our order. Ordered ceviche, empenadas and Lomo Saltado. All received within a 15 min time frame. Not going to complain about the taste, all is good. Presentation and billing is my problem from my dissapointment statements listed below. To get to the point, my complaints of dissapointment in details. This place is expensive!! The presentation of the food delivered was nothing special. The quanity being served for $26 a plate did not do justice. $16 appetizers of Ceviche and Empenadas. The margarita pitcher was $55 and it was filled mostly with ice. Lacked liquor, a bit stingy on their serving. Received our bill, they automatically but a 20% service charge tacked on my bill! Keep in mind It is only two people not a party of 6. I want the option to decide myself if the waiter is worthy of a good tip with provided service. The guy was hustling trying to take everyones orders. What type of management understaffs on a FIFA World Cup Championship game? Just one guy taking care of the entire restaurant is not acceptable. He was nearly non existence on our stay. Also, what type of managent doesnt stock alcohol up for the big game? The place looks and feels runned down. Tables looked old, restaurant was hot. Plastic Forks and spoons provided with one napkin. Lol. Just full of dissapointments. My final bill came out to $140. The nail in the coffin for me to rate this place only 1 star was the automatic service charge attached. I disagree with this restaurants billing policy. They stronghold you to pay for service, even if the service is bad. Overall, the taste is good, but if your going to charge me $26 for a plate, at least give me some silverware and clean my tables. I have been here a few times since the early 2000s. This place needs a makeover. Tables are dirty outside and inside. Charging for high quality prices for a place that doesnt deliver the ambiance. Total dissapointment on my visit. "My experience only." Ask them to remove the service charge. Complete BS
