    Third beach bowl salad
    Anna A.

Went with a friend for a drink and light snack. Ordered their rose sangria and a couple of appies: mariquitas and third beach bowl salad We absolutely loved the mariquitas (plantain chips). crispy and very well seasoned! recommend The salad has a variety of of fresh produce and it is a very good mix. However, the dressing together with the spinach and avocado made ut a bit watery to my preference. Will order the dressing on the side next time The rose sangria is a bit weak. tastes more like a juice punch. will go back to try the red sangria instead.

Hailey was such a wonderful host genuinely made us feel so comfortable even gave us a bunch of recommendations of things to do in Vancouver since I'm visiting for my birthday. The food was amazing and the drinks. Love this place will be coming every time I decided to come to Canada. Thank you Hailey for making my birthday great !!!

Nice ambiance and vibes on commercial drive! Enjoy the drinks here. Service is not bad.

It was a busy Sat night on The Drive and we were a group of 8 without reservations but luckily Havana was able to accommodate us. Decor was nice with Halloween decorations up already. We order ceviche as appies and then for the main we ordered the pulled several pork enchiladas and paellas to share. Everyone enjoyed the mains and I particularly liked the paella as there are not that many restaurants that serve seafood paella around town. It was good size for 2 people and lots of seafood. I'll come back just for paella. For Dessert, we had churros donut which was lighter than typical churros

Okay food, okay service. 3.5 is kind of accurate. Just seriously LOUD and hard to hear my friend across the table. Saw a couple outside on the way out and they seemed fine with the patio heaters and blankets. Came here for Dine Out Vancouver. Chicharron was good, deconstructed tacos were a bit messy but I liked the pineapple bits the best. Churro bombs were ... the bomb. Would come back for that dessert but not necessarily anything else.

Came in for happy hour, ambiance on the deck was great for a warm summer day, service was friendly and prompt. We only had a few snacks of what we had. The tostones were great, reminded me of home as a latino myself. Ceviche was good but the flavour balance was not quite there. Chips and salsa were nice a spicy and the mojitos were on point!

Perfect restaurant to go for a late summer day dinner. When I think of a restaurant on the "Drive" I always think of Havana. The sidewalk patio is one of the best in Vancouver. This time I had three servers serve us. Two due to work shift overlap. All three; Jenna, Rey and Laura were wonderful. Food was good, drinks were good..... The interior was renovated since I was there last and looked good.

The ambience of the deck on a nice summer day is great, but aside from that, I'm not sure I would return. I got a cocktail which tasted like it was put together in a rush with bottom shelf alcohol. The salad was pretty pricey for what it was.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon. We sat outside under a heater. Very cute restaurant with cute Halloween decorations. The server was really friendly and gave us great recommendations. I ordered a chicken sandwich, my friend ordered a cubano sandwich, and my other friend ordered chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious! We also ordered three of their Halloween-themed cocktails, but they were just okay. The food was great and I recommend a visit!

I love eating Cubano sandwiches so I chose the weekday brunch Croque Senora. Well pressed Cubano, tasty meal.

Try the ceviche for appys, Cubano sando for a main, and churro bombs for dessert! I've been here a handful of times before and each time it never disappoints. Staff are super friendly and attentive, not to mention probably the hottest in Vancouver next to Cactus Club, and the atmosphere is always vibrant and welcoming.

Oh man, I've been wanting to come here for a long time and so glad we did today. Especially come on a day or evening when it's sunny! But they have you covered (literally) if it's not sunny. They have a completely outside patio, a patio that's covered and inside. The patio that's covered has heat lamps too, so you'll be kept warm. The service was top notch and everyone was so friendly We did happy hour and mainly ordered drinks but did get some snacks. Everything was delicious! I ordered the Santa Clara Sling, which was AMAZING. If you love passionfruit, and rum, this is the one. My other friend got the Cuban old fashion with brown butter rum (do I need to say more) and then the spicy pineapple margarita......the only problem I had, was that they weren't bottomless! They were allllll so amazing! If I wanted something I could sip or would be the sling, if I wanted something in a jug, the spicy pineapple margarita! The ceviche was yum, felt really cooked through, almost a bit dry, but the flavours were yummy. The favorite was the Pablano corn dip was the best and I want it again! My hubby did the 1212 burger, and it was a great moist, flavorful burger. I loved the bun, it was the best burger bun I've had in awhile. All in all, it made me wanting more and I'll for sure be back!

My friend and I got espresso martinis for $10, which I thought was a steal of a deal! Plus, the espresso martini was one of the better ones I've had. Not too sweet; smooth; very easy to drink (multiple of, haha). The food menu is a mix of small bites, plates, and build-your-own charcuterie. The latter was the standout. Other than the charcuterie, what I had was decent. Small bite: anchovy with honey and walnuts on baguette slice - delicious, although the honey kind of took over towards the end. Plate: beef tartare with tomato water, egg yolk, and capers - I feel bad saying this, but honestly the most flavourful part of the tartare were the capers. And the bread on the side! Dessert: Basque cheesecake - rotating flavours. This one was chocolate. I liked it, but found it was not as smooth as previous versions I've had. Charcuterie to the rescue! We selected the bresaola from the meat section and Sheopshire blue from the cheese section. The charcuterie also came with house-made lemon pepper jam, olives, nuts, honeycomb, and crackers. Of the four we thought the Kuri and Ume were the most delicious, with the Kuri tasting the most unique. For food, we ordered the BGB King Salmon, Prawn Toast, Red Crab, Hamachi Tartare and the Ice Cream Sando. Each item was meticulously prepared. Our favourite was the Red Crab, as the blend of crab, tamago salad, truffle, on a toasted piece of milk bread, was fantastic, our favourite bite of the night. The hamachi tartare was my second favourite, as each delicious bite was complimented by the fried noodles on the side. We had a fantastic experience overall. Great service, food, and vibes inside. Seating did feel a bit cramped however nothing out of the ordinary for an izakaya. Would 100% return to try the other cocktails on their menu and eat another bite of the Red Crab. Surrounded by warehouses, did the driver want us to experience a "call of the wild?" However, Odd Society beckoned one block from the corner, and two seats were available at the strange bar. Strange because our view was blocked by a kind of ersatz plastic and wood wagon wheel blocking our view of the servers and bar. It was reminiscent of Utah's Zion Curtain. Later, I was told it was part of Odd Society's Covid protection and helped the bartenders stack things up. Okay, fine, but tear the damn things down. They're obnoxious. Odd Society creates an array of liquors made from ingredients sourced locally by law. It's required by their license. I tried almost all of them, and most were fantastic. Abby and Colin, our servers, were charming, fun, and educational, answering my questions, which became increasingly inane as the alcohol took effect. The distillery also mixes fantastic cocktails, and mine, named Midori, was friggen unbelievable. I had two of them along with my liquor tasting. My Midori was made with a special concoction called Portuguese Sweet Milk, or something like that. It was amazing. I want one for breakfast. The fun kept coming, and I didn't want to leave. Alas, we had reservations at Lunch Lady up the street. We should have stayed at Odd Society. Lunch Lady was a disappointment. Try Odd Society out as both a distillery and cocktail bar. You won't be disappointed about either one.

I have a friend who loves to drink so when he was back in town, I bookmarked this place to bring…read morehim to as I saw many great reviews and pictures. In summary, the place was ok, but noticed after the fact that we were overcharged for the drinks. It's a small space - about 3 high tables, one lower one, each seating 4 to maybe at most 5 people, plus a bar. I reserved a table for the 2 of us at 3:30 pm on a Sunday (earliest reservation they had as they open at 3 pm) and we were seated at 3 pm. They checked our vaccine passports and then seated us. Not long after we were seated, the remaining tables were all taken just after opening for 30 minutes so I would recommend reserving if you prefer tables over bar seating. The waitress brought over a drinks menu and food menu. The menu showed cocktails at $13. We chose our drinks and ordered, then the waitress came by with a second menu that she said was for Sunday only. She apologized and said she normally doesn't work Sunday's so she didn't know this promotional menu was available. This menu had some cocktails on promotion that I would have not minded to try, but I had already received my cocktail. Oh well. I had the Violet and Claire, which looked great and tasted pretty good for the first half. However by the second half of the drink, it started to taste too sweet. It was not bad for a cocktail, overall. My friend said the Smoke Between the Sheets cocktail was alright as well. We got our bills quickly as we had a second place to visit afterwards. After paying, I snapped a picture of the bill at the time but did not notice until I got home that to my surprise, each cocktail was listed on the bill at $14.95. I recalled their physical menu saying $13, and verified this with their menu online. Unfortunately, I did not notice the discrepancy until I was home, otherwise I would have mentioned something. Note that our visit was at the end of November 2021, and at the time I'm writing this review (December 26, 2021), their online menu still has cocktail prices at $13. So, I am not sure if this was a one time mistake when we paid, or if they have just forgotten to update their menu? Either way, this was disappointing. Because of the entire experience I probably won't visit again, especially with all the other options Vancouver has for cocktails.
