Christine is the ultimate in pet sitting. She starts the engagement with a preliminary in-person visit, capturing a large amount of detail upfront. She makes sure that she is prepared for anything and everything, and documents it all with detailed notes and a checklist for your account. This is a comfort to moms and dads leaving their fur babies behind! My adorable cat Sadie is amazing to me, but not so much to strangers. However, Christine was able to work her magic to get Sadie engaged every day while we were on vacation. It is a huge relief to know that while we are gone, she isn't hiding and sleeping 24/7, sad and depressed. Sadie played with Christine, ate her wet food daily, and posed for photos to send to mom;-). Not only do I feel that Sadie was in great hands, but Christine went above and beyond to help with a few items around the house such as grabbing mail, cleaning up after Sadie's bulimic tendencies, and perhaps most importantly, feeding the outdoor cat "Blue" that we've semi-adopted in the last few months. I needed to find a pet sitter immediately so I called my vet and they recommended Christine at Have a Ball. When I spoke to Christine she was very friendly and understanding of my predicament and was able to squeeze me into her schedule to come by and meet Toto and I. When she got here Toto took to her quickly and plopped right down on her lap the whole time she was here. She showed me a notebook with all of her insurance information and certifications which eased my mind. While I was on vacation she sent me text updates and pics of Toto daily so I knew everything was okay while I was gone and I didn't have to worry as much. Christine even requested that I call her to let her know I got back on time just to be sure. When it was all said and done I'm kind of glad my friend wasn't able to watch Toto. I can't believe I haven't done a review yet! I love Christine and her Services! I have used her twice on trips, and I now can leave town and have peace of mind that my high-maintenance elderly cat and my also high maintenance and grumpy dwarf bunny are well taken care of. I actually had to call her in for Emergency Services last time I left town because a neighbor was going to take care of them while I was gone for a few days and the bunny rabbit was literally so grumpy that my neighbor was afraid to open the cage because he was jumping at her and growling. He DOES bite, which I know sounds weird for a bunny rabbit, but dwarf bunnies are notoriously known for having more attitude, in fact they have a name for it....they call it 'Dwarf-itude'! I had to contact Christine and ask her to emergency-style come over and deal with him and she was able to get him to calm down enough to open the cage and give him food. I recently decided to hire a dog walker for a few days a week when I worked late. My dogs were so happy on the days Christine walked them that I upgraded to everyday walks while I'm at work. The first time I met her I could see she was friendly, kind and had a natural compassion for animals.I liked how she listened patiently to all my questions, concerns and needs regarding my dogs care. We can't say enough good things about Christine and her team! We used Have a Ball Pet Sitting for daily 30 minute dog walks for our two large breed dogs while we were stationed in San Diego for a year with my husband's Navy career. Our dogs loved Christine and every member of her team. Each day we would get texts for how the walk went. If I had to make any changes to our weekly walk schedule Christine was very responsive, and was always willing to work with us if we needed the walk to be a little later in the day or cancel. While we were always very pleased with the service, what really meant the world to us was the flexibility and support Christine and her team provided when one of our dogs had ACL surgery. Instead of walks Christine and her team agreed to help us with mid-day bathroom breaks. It was a very involved process that required taking a cone on and off, getting a sore and medicated dog in and out of a crate, administering medicine, using a sling to help the dog get outside, and managing the other dog who was ready for a walk. Christine and her team came over ahead of time to watch the process so that they could do it the same way we did it. It was such a relief to know that our dog was getting his medicine, a bathroom break, and we were getting updates on how he was doing. Christine and her team helped us all through the recovery process, adjusting his care, per our guidance, until he was back to normal walks. Again, I can't say enough about how much the support and flexibility meant to us. The other great thing I would add about Have a Ball Pet Sitting and Dog Walking is that they recently changed their billing procedures. Christine now sends a monthly invoice with a link that allows you to pay online. We've used other dog walkers at my husband's other duty stations, and this is by far the easiest billing process we've ever used. Again, I can't say enough good things about Christine and her team.
