They were super accommodating, communicative, and they took the best care of our two dogs (who can be needy and a little high maintenance). One dog is a blind senior and the other one is a little anxious due to being a rescue. Each sitter took the time to make sure our pups were comfortable with them and followed the directions we laid out. They sent updates and pictures after every visit, which significantly calmed the helicopter pet parent in me. Special shoutout to Kennedy who became best buds with my usually shy, slow-to-warm-up dog! This was an amazing option to have instead of putting our dogs in boarding (which we all would have been unhappy with). They are great at providing mix-and-match options to keep cost in mind. I'm jokingly sounding elitist. Of course, they cater to ALL types of dogs in unique ways. Call and let them explain. My newly rescued dog had a ton of energy, but was afraid of almost everyone he didn't know. It was heartbreaking to see him want to play but fear his environment! His life was transformed when I got him into a routine with Vanessa. She's clearly the leader of the pack, and after about a week he was coming to the door to greet her. Now, he knows the general routine and goes bonkers waiting to hear the familiar sounds of Vanessa's arrival. I never asked for training, only exercise and socialization. So as he transforms, I'm sometimes caught off guard by his improvements. At first I'll often tell people "he won't do that", or " don't expect him to be better with you", only to find his regular exercise, socialization with other dogs, and whatever magic Vanessa does as pack leader, has extremely improved his behavior. I have to admit I felt kinda sad when I realized he'd eat his food without needing to know exactly where I was ... but I guess that's just part of growing up ;-) Now, I don't have such a needy, misbehaving dog; I have more time for a life. He has fun, clearly feels better, and behaves better. I feel better as a dad knowing he's not in a pen, but actually playing, socializing, and getting so much needed exercise. Now he has a positive channel for all of that pent-up, aimless energy. Before, it almost always manifested in negative ways. We're still with UDF, and have no plans of changing. If you can do it, and on a regular schedule (my dog didn't change in a month), I suggest you do. In fact, the company might be too small for guarantees, but in an informal friendly way, I practically guaranty you'll be pleased with the improvement of your dog if you do. And dang, I've never written that in a review. Check my history. By the way, I'm not receiving ANYTHING in return for this review or anything surrounding it. My quick solution is Vanessa at Unleashed Dog Fitness! We've all heard the phrase "a tired dog is a good dog," but most of the time my dogs aren't tired after a walk because they haven't been walked far enough. Vanessa has the best solutions for this, especially for my terrier. He needs at least two 30-minute walks, a park outing to run solely after his ball and then social time with other dogs...every single day! To help me with the extra amount of exercise they need, Vanessa offers me Fiesta Island and beach outings, as well as trail hikes and park outings. My terrier loves all 4, but my bully can skip the hike. He gets lazy. I'm lucky to have run in to her on one of my walks 3 years ago, because now I can rest easier. My dogs are exhausted when they get home, and that's good, right? RIGHT! You can rest assure with Vanessa's mild manner and loving ways she will take care of your furry friend as if it were her own. I can attest to that because she also offers pet boarding and I've used it before. She is attentive and thoughtful to send me daily pictures reassuring me they are alive and well.
