    Lunch buffet
    Jessica H.

It's ok-good. I arrived at 1:28 after calling to confirm their buffet ended at 2. I'm seated, ignored after getting water. I approach a server to ask if I should just go up to the buffet. She says the buffet is closed. BUT I can clearly see 4 other (yes I counted) still making trips. So she asks the person at the checkout. Yes. I can still get the buffet. Many choices and the tandoori chicken was large and looked good. I had tomato soup, dal, Chana masala, pakora, and paneer makhani (tomato butter), naan, basmati rice, "stir fried" rice, bread pudding, kheer, and fruit custard. Plus chutneys and raita It was good. The only true standouts were the naan - buttery and pillowy and the garlic naan was rich and delicious - and the pakora. The mint chutney is delicious. $23 plus tip

Not the best experience. Wait 45 minutes for 2 simple dishes and bread. Too loud to have a conversation across the table. When served our dishes was told rice "will be right out". Another 5 minutes or so? Roti bread chewy. Meals tasted off. Asked if wanted mild or medium and mild= bland. No reason to return although a quick stroll away.

Came with a group of 8, note- they do an %18 percent gratuity for large parties. The food was good! We enjoyed the fresh garlic naan, our cauliflower app, the mint chutney, the chicken tikka masala, the butter chicken, goat curry, and paneer. Everything was delicious! Service was a tad slow but they were friendly and great at answering our questions.

Great ambience, decor, and music. Unfortunately, the food and quality of service were disappointing. Ordered Last Lassi for cocktails only to find it get curdled in no time. Yes, it is the last thing I want. Later ordered wings of heaven for apps, and found a long strand of hair. I understand that things happen in the restaurant business. But I wish the staff would compensate with service, which they didn't, and sounded defensive for "you should had the drink earlier." This place is a no go in my book.

Went here for our anniversary dinner and it was a lovely night! We started with chicken lollipops, shared garlic naan, and lamb saag. Great food and fantastic service! They even surprised us with a special anniversary dessert. Will be excited to come back and try more!

The service was top notch. The ambiance is upscale. The food is just ok. The portions are small compared to other Indian restaurants. The flavors aren't as bold. Parking can be a problem but the good thing is they stay open until 11pm.

I've noticed this restaurant recently while driving around downtown. Turns out, a few of my friends had tried it for takeout and loved it! So we decided to dine in one night. It wasn't busy until later. Good vibes here and very much an upscale experience. The food is pricier than your typical Indian restaurant but they are still good portion sizes! For apps, we got the chicken Manchurian and chili mushrooms. So good! Very flavorful and one of the best chicken Manchurian dishes I've had! We got the mushrooms mild and the chicken medium heat. Not spicy at all. For drinks, I got the Bollywood smash, while my friends got the old fashioned and Last Lassi (spiked mango lassi). For entrees, we shared: Hakka noodles (tastes like a toned down version of lo mein), chicken biryani, saag paneer, and garlic naan. My friend, who is Indian, said this is one of the best restaurants she's had for Indo-Chinese food. Everything was delicious! Like I said, large portions! It was a lot for the 4 of us and we still had leftovers to split among us. Great staff! Really smiley people. Love it here!

We were out exploring and the fragrance from this restaurant was calling to us! We decided we needed to check it out. What a great find! First of all, it's gorgeous! There was such a attention to detail in everything they did. Our server was super sweet and helpful. They have a buffet until a certain time but we missed that. We split some butter chicken and naan instead. Omg. It was INCREDIBLE! I want more! We both ordered cocktails and wew! They do not skimp. These were heavy pours. I needed a nap after this! Oh and we even had leftovers!

I met Gwen W for an early Friday dinner at 4:00. I've been here, but it's been years. We both found street parking on the side. It is beautiful inside, with comfortable seating. The service was good and our server was gracious. I started off with a glass of Riesling. I chose 4 courses from the Restaurant Week menu, which was our purpose for coming that week. The vegetable pakora looked completely different from what I'm accustomed to; it was little bits of fried veggies. Tasty but unusual. The Sweet Corn Egg Drop Soup was delicious. The Garlic Naan was a big serving, suitable for sharing. The Chicken Tikka Masala was quite good, but a smaller portion than what other places serve. I had to ask for rice. I did not have leftovers. All in all it was a decent meal, but a little disappointing.

First timer. Food/Drink: Entrees were decent, everything tasted pretty good. The flavors and the smells were intoxicating, but the spice level could have been better. I had the lamb Vindaloo, and garlic naan. Bread and Apps: The garlic naan mmmm mmmm! Small dish of the samosas were to die for. Dinning Area: Pretty large, and open. Prices: Relatively cheap. Small appetizer, 2 entree, and a drink I got away for $55. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and smaller in size. Atmosphere: During the weekday Dinner rush, pretty busy, but not unmanageable. I did not wait long. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was Great, family owned and operated I presume. Extremely authentic, deep accent. Decent experience, I may be back! 7/10

The food here is pretty good, considering you're in Columbus. I ordered the butter chicken with naan, and my girl ordered the chicken Tikka biryani. All of the food was delicious, to be honest. The issues I had with this place came down to service and portions. At most Indian restaurants I go to, the portions are typically generous. I felt like that wasn't the case here. Additionally, I felt as if the service was inconsistent and baggy. Other than that, the interior gives a typical Indian restaurant vibe, and the people are really nice.

The butter chicken and garlic naan was amazing! Great ambiance as well. Service was a little slow but other than that, we had a great experience.

You can cater the level of spice to what your palette enjoys. Mine is a level 7+. I decided to go with items I have never tried before which were both great. I went with the Beef Bori Kabob and Paneer Onion Kulcha Flatbread with a special request of extra spicy. The Paneer Onion was very spicy but tolerable. The Beef Kabob was spicy but to less degree. The kabob was also not a full meal so the flatbread was a great accompaniment. Since the others in my group got full plates, I was able to enjoy basmati rice since it was served in a large pot that was refillable. Dessert options are on a separate menu. I was able to get a pistachio sponge cake like dessert. Not too sweet with a hint of spice. Yum! Great recommendation by our server who was so helpful! Full bar service available. Indoor and Outdoor seating available. Wish it was a little warmer because I would love to sit outside. Tables are meant of large groups but it seems like management can make it happen if you call ahead. Only downside of this place was the parking was a bit hard. Best bet is to utilize the free street parking. Can't wait to come back and try new items.

I had the pleasure of attending Roo's Duckhorn Vineyards wine dinner last night, and it was a…read morefantastic evening overall. This four-course dinner, paired with wines from Duckhorn, was another reminder of why Roo is, in my opinion, the premier Indian restaurant in the city. The menu was incredibly creative, with each course beautifully executed. The Tuna Sashimi Chaat was bright, fresh, and packed with vibrant flavors, and was wonderful with the fruity Sauvignon Blanc. The Tandoori Herb Chicken Tikka, topped with Amul cheese fondue foam, was paired perfectly with a crisp, lightly oaked Chardonnay. The standout of the evening was the perfectly charred Grilled Double-Bone Lamb Chop with Cherry Onion Chutney - savory, tender, and unforgettable alongside Duckhorn's Merlot. Dessert featured a light, fluffy chocolate cake served with raspberry, followed by a bold Cabernet to finish the meal on a high note. The only area that fell a bit short was the service. The staff worked incredibly hard, but they seemed overwhelmed at times. On a couple of courses, the wine arrived well before the food it was intended to accompany, which took away from the pairing experience. They also appeared to be short on stemware and had to serve some wines in glasses that weren't ideal. Even with those minor hiccups, it was a wonderful evening. Roo continues to set the standard for exceptional Indian cuisine, and I hope they host many more wine dinners like this. If you haven't experienced Roo yet, what are you waiting for? It's truly one of the best dining experiences in the city.
