Haveli is a nice surprise in Camas. Not exactly what you expect to find in the middle of Camas, Washington. We decided to venture out on a weeknight to give them a try. Restaurant and bar are large. They were unfortunately less busy than we would hope... good Indian food can be difficult to come by, especially in a small town. The menu was great - lots of options including vegetarian. We decided to do a 'progressive' dinner that we shared. We ordered a few items off the appetizer menu. They were EXCELLENT! Fortunately that we ordered slowly because the portions are large. We filled up before making it to the entree. It was delightful. They unfortunately do not have a full bar. It is limited to (I believe beer?) and Indian wine. The options are basically red or red. It was fine. Not the best, not the worst... just wish they had a few more options on the bar menu. Give it a try, food and service were ON POINT. Price is extremely fair - support local! read more

It is a new restaurant in Camas area, nice welcome addition since there was no Indian restaurant in that area. The food is more North Indian style and surely had an extensive menu. Bread Basket is a great deal to try out the different varieties of naans. The mango lassi was good, the main dishes were awesome, nice flavor and not too spicy like South Indian dishes. It was pretty good quantity that I had left overs. The decor and ambience needs a little touch up but off to a good start. read more

I have eaten in the restaurant and take out and the food is amazing! But if it's your first time, I recommend dining in. It's hard to describe the depth of flavor in their sauces. And the new owners/management are SO NICE. They have been so accommodating with my sometimes odd requests and steered me to try new things that were great; although I still love the butter chicken! The food here is amazing, however for phone orders they are HORRIBLE. I've called in 2 phone orders and thought the first one may have been a fluke however this is the second time I have been told when my food was going to be ready for pick up only for me to arrive a few minutes after that quoted time and then have to wait an extra 20-30 minutes to get my food. If you're calling in a phone order expect to add 20-30 minutes to the time they tell you. read more

Very excited that this place opened it's a nice change from the regular selection of restaurants in the area. Excellent prices. Excellent service portions were very abundant. We were very full got appetizers bread and two with sides of rice. The appetizers were fritters with cheese and two different kinds of dipped highly recommend bowls. Nothing in this menu was too hot. We requested medium spice and honestly not one thing burn in my mouth I was pleasantly shocked. The flavors were warm, but not fiery very filling excellent rice excellent side dishes appetizer was really filling and yummy mango. Drink was really incredible. I will be back for more of those for sure. I tried both the lamb and the goat. Excellent on both, the colors of the room were very inviting and friendly. The staff was completely on the ball. Several of them checked on us while we were waiting for each part of our order. Several people came in and picked up food. Many people were served while we were there. We are kind of slow so we get a chance to see how things work we went on a Wednesday evening since they don't open until 3 PM. They're great for early and late dinner very clean. I have been here a handful of times, and I keep seeing more and more improvements. This appears to be a family run business so I would say be patient with the service since the food is excellent and definitely worth the wait. I'm not Indian and haven't been to India so I can't say how authentic any of the dishes are but I can say that every dish I have tried has been great, so much flavor. I have also brought many people here and everyone has loved their food. It's so delicious and the garlic naan is AMAZING! read more

1st time there Great food; had the breads and chutneys, Lamb, Afgan Chicken and Chicken Tikka masala Highly recommend the food. The Service Sucked. During an evening of only 3 tables, service was slow from the start - 5 minutes to get water on the table, 10 min before taking order, no guidance from the server,, 20 min later; 1 main dish showed up, 5 minutes later, the rest of the main dishes appeared along with the appetizer. Three times the dishwasher came out to prep area and latterly dumped silverware what sounded like on the floor - so loud we couldn't even here each other talk. Sure had a lot of flatware for only 3 tables. ??? For the price of restaurants these days excellent service is a MUST. Next time, we'll order from Grubhub and have it delivered, or go to Vancouver to Chutneys. read more

Dined in once and take out twice. The food is mostly ok, the flavors are good and cooking of most dishes we tried was ok, nothing amazing. Only major disappointment was the Tandoori chicken - both times we tried is was very dry. The less good, the prices are very high for what you get and the portioning mediocre. Everything is extra. So if you pick up take out, be prepared for sticker shock. We will be switching back to our former go-to Indian restaurant Abhiruchi, which offers full meal (Thali, with all kinds of sides) for same price and better flavors. read more

We enjoyed our butter chicken masala and aloo gobi masala: no complaints, and the naan was tasty also. The only complaint I have is in regard to the parking: we had to angle park in front and it was dangerous backing out into the busy street. But we'll be back. read more

Let me caveat this is a new restaurant and may need time to show its true potential, if possible. Menu contains most of the usuals, but surprisingly several dishes that are more uncommon which is a pleasant to see. Decently friendly staff, perhaps not the most experienced. The food...average. in particular: - Rice - very bad taste, I cannot fathom how it is made so poorly. - Chicken skewers - overcooked to the point it is like jerky - Onion bhaji - very good texture and flavor, as were the accompanying sauces - Bread basket - good but nothing special - Main dishes - average flavor - 50% of our order was made/delivered incorrectly Atmosphere....it's Washugal so not much expectation. However, the carpet looks like it is from the 1940's and many many people died on it. For the sake of the future of this establishment, I hope the carpet is removed immediately. Very happy to see Indian entering the scene in Camas-Washougal. Better yet, it is the best Indian cuisine we have come across in the Vancouver-Portland area. I highly recommend this restaurant especially anyone vegan or with gluten issues. Many choices. Food was very tasty. Spiced wonderfully. The medium hot was just perfect for my taste buds but if you don't like spicy get it mild. The garlic Nann was so good I could have eaten the whole basket full. So nice to have a new and different style restaurant in town. The only thing I would do different next time is sit in a different area. We sat by the door making the ambiance not very calm.
