The drinks were really good! The maple match was amazing!! It was a little too sweet, but after mixing it with the regular matcha it was better. The chagaccino tasted like melted dark chocolate milk. The amount of decaf options was disappointing, but I can't hold it against them because of a personal necessity, haha. They were weighing everything out with the matcha, so it wasn't clumpy at all! I wished there was more of a matcha taste as it got washed out quite a bit by the milk. The matcha was a little floral with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. For the high price point, I would have liked to see a more balanced and flavorful matcha. The service was actually the best experience I have ever had in a cafe. I wish I had gotten her name, because she was so amazing at walking us through the menu. She didn't make us feel rushed, even as a line was growing behind us. I really appreciated her explanations behind the drinks. She was amazing!! The interior is interesting. It's like a big room with a nail salon in half of it. The nail salon was hidden behind a curtain. It was a cute little shop!

Nothing but love for Haven Cafe! This tucked away little gem of a coffee shop maybe "no-frills ", but it's simple branding is cute and effective. Their drinks are delicious-- made even better by the fact that several ingredients are made in house. Their breakfast sandwich is arguably one of the best in Cincinnati. The English muffins are spread with ghee. And the house made sauce that covers the sandwich is so good that if they bottled it, I would for sure buy it by the bottle. They do share the space with other business, which feels a little odd when you are dining in, but I'm sure it's very cost-effective for rent purposes!

I've been on the hunt for a good matcha in Cincinnati and this is drink is top 3 for me!! I got the marshmallow matcha and it hit the spot. It was creamy, sweet, and the perfect green color. The interior is cute and modern. The baristas were super kind and for a Saturday morning, my drink came out fast!

I stopped here on my way home from campus because I've heard so much about the matcha and it did not disappoint! I ordered the iced Banana Pudding Matcha Latte and it was so creamy and delicious with a slight hint of banana pudding flavor. Neither the matcha nor the banana flavors were too overpowering which I really appreciated. It was the perfect sweetness for myself and a great pick. I will say the prices are a bit up there. My latte was $7.50 for no additional add ins and I got it with whole milk. The cafe is nice from the inside however there's not much seating especially near an outlet so it's not really an ideal place to go and study. There's also not a designated lot for parking so beware of having to find street parking.

Finally made it here after trying to come for a very long time to see what the hype was about and have to say I feel it is very over hyped. They have unique and cool coffee places but the banana crème top latte had minimal flavor and didn't have the topping it said it came with (bruleed banana) so I was disappointed about that. The sandwich was tasty but very messy and not worth $12 for a small sandwich - wow. I would come back to meet a friend but probably wouldn't go out of my way, especially with how terrible it is to find parking in the area. Plus for such a large indoor space there are very few places to sit and hang out.

I have been wanting to try Haven for a while and I'm glad I stopped in today! The café is small, but there was plenty of seating and I was able to snag a spot big enough for me and my two friends and their babies. The drinks on social media looks so delicious... I was bummed to see that they were out of Matcha entirely so several of the drinks that I thought sounded good were not available. It could be because it was a Friday the end of the day, but this was a bummer. I asked the barista about some other alternatives and didn't get much of an answer--Other than that they didn't like tea so they weren't sure what to recommend in that area. I read some other reviews about the staff not being very welcoming, and I wouldn't say that was the case, but I struggled with what to get and would've appreciated some help with the menu since one of their main offering and an ingredient in most of the drinks was not available. I ended up getting an iced chai, and the flavor was really lovely . However, I had to go get a straw because the chai settled on the bottom and when I stirred it, it was pretty gritty and didn't incorporate well...it was about average for chai latte but the sediment on the bottom took it down a few notches. I've heard great things about their breakfast sandwich, and my friend got one which looked amazing! I think I'd return to try the sandwich, but I wouldn't get the chai again. Hopefully next time I come, the Matcha is available because several of the seasonal drinks looked amazing! The other thing was that the music was pretty loud in the café, so we ended up moving one of the speakers away from our table because it was hard to hear. After that, no issues we had a lovely time together and enjoying the afternoon! Overall, wasn't quite what I expected, but I do want to return to give it another chance! I hope to update my review after another visit .

I am going to give Haven a 5 star review because the coffee and sandwich I tried were AMAZING! They are known for some of their amazing matcha drinks as well but unfortunately they are having issues getting Matcha they import from Japan. Their instagram is keeping us updated when it will be back! I'm eager to try. But I have the cinnamon toast ice coffee with oat milk and a breakfast Sammy ( no egg) The coffee was topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. So creative and delish. The sauce on the Sammy was sooooo good and flavorful. I went on a Saturday. It was packed the line was to the door. The people who worked there were pleasant and happy. The coffee shop side is small and there are a few tables to sit and chat and eat and drink. I took mine to go. I can't wait to go back and try more items.

I'm new to the area and decided to give Haven Cafe a try! Boy am I glad I did! This has by far been my favorite coffee shop in the entire Cincinnati area. The atmosphere is great, the staff was incredibley kind, and the coffee is absolute perfection. The price is premium, but absolutely worth it. Any time I'm in the area, I will definitely be returning.

Not your regular coffee shop ! Syrups made fresh , customer service amazing and flavors and options are better than most. I had the pineapple latte and how fitting forewarn weather . Came here upon recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. This place has an open feel with seating along the walls. When you walk in, it almost welcomes you to the ordering counter opposite the entrance. The coffee was hot and fresh! Great bold flavors. They serve Counter Culture Coffee. I also ordered the avocado toast with egg. The avocado was a house made spread and they used a hint of lemon, which was great flavor! The egg was cooked to perfection and not overly runny. The bread was stable enough to not get soggy or crumble whenever eating it. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were affordable too!

Delicious, but want more breakfast options! I had the breakfast Sammy (add avocado) and it was SO good despite the greasiness. At first, I was a little out off by the price, but after tasting it I totally get it. Absolutely worth it! Haven is one of my new local coffee shop staples while I'm on my travel nursing assignment! Their baristas are awesome and so helpful. They recommended the Pandan iced latte the first day I came in. I had never heard of Pandan before and now I'm wondering why no other coffee shops use it! I get it every time and I'm obsessed. I love the minimalist all white look of the establishment, it looks so clean and modern. They also had vegan/gluten free donuts and they are quite literally some of the best I've ever had. 10/10 recommend :) read more

I want to start off by saying that the drinks here are amazingly crafted. They have great flavors, quality ingredients, I love it. Because of that, I go here frequently, but this last time that I went there, I was severely disappointed by the service. Let me start off by saying I work in the service industry, so I understand what it's like to be behind the counter. However, every time I have gone here, I have not felt welcomed by the staff. This last time I went, the lady at the counter had an extremely hostile disposition towards us upon arrival. That was already enough to bring me and my friends off, as it was apparent in her demeanor. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, as she has been okay to me before, but I found the service entirely unacceptable. I was thinking, okay, I guess I came here for the drinks and not the service. However, when our drinks came out, they were not the usual delicious drinks I am used to receiving, they were not filled to the top, weak in syrup flavor, and had one puff of their topping. For the cost of the drinks, I do not think that this kind of quality is acceptable. I am extremely disappointed in their service, and discouraged from going again. read more

This definitely ranks as one of the top coffee shops in the area!! Fair warning before anyone comes here - there isn't a ton of seating. Maybe 6 people can sit indoors and another 10 or so outdoors. But even with that, it is absolutely worth it too stop by and pick something up! My fiancé and I came in and got an oat milk matcha latte, a drip coffee, this delicious peanut butter frosted doughnut with chocolate mousse inside, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Each and everything here was absolutely divine. This has to be the best oat milk matcha in the area. I don't get any flavorings in my matchas and without any - this was definitely the most flavorful one I have had. The bacon egg and cheese was on an english muffin with chipotle mayo and he definitely out ordered me on this one - not because the doughnut wasn't good (it was AMAZING!) but because the sandwich was THAT good. This place is an absolute must for anyone in the area! Definitely will be coming back! read more

This staff, vibe and food is fantastic! I am a huge fan of lavender and hunt for anything lavender flavored I can get my hands on. So when a friend told me about the lavender latte I had to try it! Unfortunately I docked 1 star because I couldn't taste the lavender at all in my latte and that's always a big upset for me :( I will have to give it a try again soon to see if that was a one off issue. But the donut had full lemon lavender flavor!! It was also gf + df, it may not have had the usual fried fluffy texture but I think it was better than most donuts I've had! I would recommend snagging one on your visit if they are in stock. They also plan on opening a nail salon on the other side sometime in late August (hopefully ) which I will be visiting! read more

It's finally a sunny afternoon that's not deceptively cold and I have the afternoon free. My social media flashes yet another friend's story of some espresso-laden drink from Haven Cafe and my afternoon plans became clear. The place itself is a hipster's dream with plants galore, a clean modern design, and super cool staff that are well-versed in all the ingredients of their delicious menu items. Today, I am feeling a smoothie and between the strawberry option with ashwaganda and the super mushroom with chaga and cinnamon, I opted for the chaga. I was not disappointed and enjoyed its velvety goodness with the warm of the sun behind me. They have two little patio sets outside since their indoor seating is currently closed. One person is attended to at a time so be prepared to wait outside to order. I also ordered the matcha donut which I would probably not choose again. Though I was happy that it wasn't overly sweet like most donuts, it did lack a bit of flavor otherwise. It was perfectly moist and a nice treat. read more

Haven Café offers a variety of drink, options, sandwiches, and they have a small pastry case which they feel with goodies from the local and ever delicious Brown Bear Bakery. The café itself offers a light airy minimalist environment, decorated with plants. You can see the attached spa through the wall on the left! Keep in mind, Haven Café is more of a quick stop as there is not much seating. There is a table for two and four bench seats that are seemingly more for waiting for your beverage than sitting to enjoy your order. You will need to utilize street parking, most of it seemed metered, and you can use the local parking app to pay. I felt there was plenty of parking a available on a Friday mid morning. Including tip, I walked out of there with a large black coffee and a pastry for $12. It was delicious!! read more

A hidden gem! Unassuming on a busy downtown street, we didn't realize Haven was open or a coffee shop until we walked right passed it. In the need for a caffeine boost, we turned around to head in and are so glad we did! The coffee was flavorful and surprisingly affordable. There are a few outdoor tables and shade provide from the taller downtown buildings. My only regret is not getting one of the chocolate chunk cookies with sea salt. Next time! read more

Haven is a cute little cafe. It's located in Covington KY. I had seen them when I first opened and knew I wanted to try them. I've tried them twice now. They are a coffee shop and should be known for their coffee/drinks. Sadly, I think the food products are better than the drinks. The thing is they buy their food products from other local bakeries/producers. I tried an Iced Mocha and an Iced Apple Pie Drink. The mocha was ok but wasn't anything special. It lacked in flavor. The Apple Pie drink didn't taste like an apple pie at all. I'm not sure what I felt like it taste like but it wasn't what the name suggested. The staff is always nice and willing to help. The other bummer is they have some dope named drinks or drinks that look good on Instagram. I'm nervous to try them again as I'm afraid the drink won't taste like what it's suppose to. Haven is such a slice of heaven in Covington. Anytime you walk in, you will feel like a personal friend to the Baristas. They have smizes and are so kind and sweet. The coffee is out of this world! Ok...this is THE place to get your coffee fix. First of all, it's a beautiful building and interior located in Covington. Second, they have a huge line of coffee and espresso unique to them! Super cute coffee shop! I saw an 'orange crush' coffee drink on their instagram and had to try it. Once I tried it, I went back again the same week to get it again :) The people working are really nice. They sell pastries from Brown Bear Bakery, and donuts from Charnee's Donuts. read more

This was a wonderful little spot making excellent craft coffee. I knew when I walked in, I made the right choice. The atmosphere was clean and bright and chill...simple menu, and friendly service. I got a cappuccino and it was perfect! (I've never seen anyone weigh the expresso and actually take a little coffee out!) I got an americano for later and it was also great. Starting a new tradition of trying out a different coffee shop every Saturday. This took over our Friday night date nights due to COVID. At this point we've tried almost every coffee shop in the 275 loop. Haven Cafe has been the best so far! I enjoy the limited menu so you're no overwhelmed by choices. The options are unique without being over the top. Be sure to add one of their donuts to your order. You will not be disappointed! One of the best sweet treats I've ever had. The drinks were great. My husband had the lavender charcoal latte, and I had the spiced apple. I enjoyed his more, but both were great. The coffee shop itself is simple and very clean!!! I'm odd when it comes to wanting every place I go to be extremely clean, Haven is. Be sure to check it out, you won't regret it. And don't forget the donut. read more

We got vanilla lattes and they were good. It's not a sit down place, it's a take and go. There's a cute shop nextdoor we browsed. The staff was nice and it seemed clean because they're still masked and it's Sept 2022. They are connected to a nail salon which is interesting. We'd stop by again. read more

My girlfriend and I visited for the first time on a rainy day. We got the cappuccino, lavender honey latte, and the sammy. Everything was what we hoped for and more, completely spot on. Also, the employees were so kind and willing to answer any questions. The building and décor is also so cute, would be a great place to study. read more

Haven is great! We got there 10 minutes to close and the employees were super gracious. My husband got an americano, I asked for an oat milk hot chocolate (not on the menu) and they made it for me without hesitation. I definitely recommend this cute shop. read more

Overall the staff all seems young (maybe high school or early college) and sometimes seem more worried about chatting with co workers than getting the customers served! They are always kind just seem distracted. Parking is overall pretty easy on the street because the lot next to the shop is very small! Not really a kid friendly place!

The staff, service and quality of the food/drinks are impeccable! I truly don't understand some of the harsh reviews (it's giving y'all don't tip ) it's a very small team of super hardworking creatives and they make each and every drink with time and care.
