Such an amazing experience at the Haven Rivera resort!! We had the most exceptional service from the moment we checked into the hotel & throughout our entire stay. All the staff at this resort was so kind and helpful! Would definitely come back to stay here. Food & cleanliness at this resort was a 10/10!!!

The property has a nice open-concept layout... but that's about where the positives end.** First, they couldn't locate our reservation and we were stuck waiting at the front gate for over 20 minutes. Then, we were given a room that was clearly a downgrade from what we booked. When I brought this up, the staff simply said, "That's what I have in my system," as if that settles it. No apology, no solution--just a shrug. But the most shocking part? They require "biodegradable sunscreen" for Xcaret. I already had two, but they said mine didn't meet the requirements and charged me **$70 USD** for replacements. When I mentioned it to staff, their response "You can pay $100 USD for a taxi if you want to go get your own." No shame, no courtesy.

We just stayed here for a week. Overall, it was amazing. My only complaint is the night life, there are 3 scheduled events each night and 2 of each of these events happen in a small area for the size of the resort. There are multiple restaurants so even the pickiest person will find something they will eat. You're on the ocean, it's always windy and does cool off in the evening.

This was such a wonderful birthday trip. Let me first start off by saying kudos to the outstanding staff that made this trip even more special. Antonio, the butler and bellman, Alex and Allen, and Jesus, the excellent bartenders you ALWAYS remembered my favorite drinks without asking. Such a great team of guys..so Thank you!!!!!!!! Haven Resort and Spa is an upscale adults only property 7 minutes away from the airport, very chill and relaxed resort away from the boisterous hotel zone. This property was never overly crowded... Thank goodness! You feel very secluded, being that this property is private, secure, and in a gated community with its own beachfront. The grounds and surrounding areas were immaculately clean with marble flooring throughout the property . The rooms were well equipped with butler service and FREE 24 HOUR room service only if you had the Serenity upgrade. Haven Riviera consists of 8 buildings sprawling across the property, which wasn't hard to navigate like most larger resorts. Haven has 5 restaurants included for all guests and two exclusively for Serenity guests. My favorites were Agua Benita, the Mexican steakhouse, and Olios, the upscale Mediterranean restaurant, which you need to make a reservation for. They also have a nightclub and hookah lounge if you're looking to get a little beside yourself...Ha! Smh.. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a sophisticated adults only property away from the hotel zone.

My husband and I visited Haven Riviera for our honeymoon. It's an all inclusive resort and you can pay extra to be a part of their "serenity club" which adds perks to your stay such as a butler, a pool only for serenity, two additional restaurants, spa hydrotherapy, etc. Cons first: The reason for the 3 stars was mainly the food and drink. I read many reviews before our trip that stated the food was amazing, but unfortunately, I personally disagree. For the price we paid, I expected more. We had just stayed at TRS Coral Resort not long before and their food was of better quality and flavor, so I think it made it difficult to not compare the two. Nothing stood out to me and we visited the Mexican steakhouse, the Italian, the Asian, and Olios their Mediterranean. The buffet was also just okay and it was open for all three meals when we were there. The drinks were hit or miss. For example, their mojitos were terrible and did not taste like rum/mint but mostly like lime. The sugary drinks were the best, but you can only have so many of those. The mixology Moët and Chandon bar, open between 6-9, was the best. The espresso cocktail was amazing!! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. From the modern architecture to the pools, it was perfection. The rooms were also the best we had stayed in while in Cancun. They were modern and spacious with a swim out pool attached to some and a jetted jacuzzi on the balconies in the others. I LOVED the jetted tub. Everyone at the resort worked really hard and were incredibly kind. Definitely do not go to this resort if you want an amazing beach. This is a resort you go to for the pool scene. Also, the shows were fun, but again, just okay. I've also seen better shows at other resorts. One day we purchased an excursion through their desk in the lobby where we got to snorkel a Cenote, see ruins in Tulum, snorkel a lagoon, and visit a beach club, which was a super fun day. Probably will not be back to Haven because of the food, but we did enjoy our time there.

This was my fiancé and I's second year (and unfortunately the last time) to stay at the Haven. The resort has significantly gone downhill since our last trip in 2024. Shower leaked, bed linens were filthy upon arrival, food (albeit Mexico) was gross, the only pleasant experience we had was at the Limes Bar with Henry. He was awesome.

My wife and I recently got back from our honeymoon at Haven and let me tell you, it was nothing but spectacular. From the moment we stepped foot off of our shuttle, we were treated like royalty by all staff. The place is absolutely gorgeous and the room was super romantic and updated. We booked a room with a walk-out pool and definitely suggest it. All staff were super friendly and made our honeymoon the amazing time it was. Some individuals that really stood out to us and made us feel special and remembered were Enrique, Maria, and Geovanni. Thanks to these awesome people and the rest of the staff, we can't wait to visit again in the future! Another thing we loved about the experience were the all-inclusive food options and 24-hour all-inclusive room service. The restaurants they have open at 6 and you'll want to make reservations when you first arrive to ensure you get to try them all. We loved them all but our absolute favorite was the Mexican Steakhouse. All in all, we were blown away by how thoughtful and tentative the staff were, how gorgeous the resort was, and how unreal it all felt to be somewhere so beautiful. Thanks for making our honeymoon so special, Haven!

I had a hard time finding reviews for this resort, so here I am. I've stayed at a handful of all-inclusive resorts (TRS, Azul beach (5 times!) , Hyatt ziva) the grounds are gorgeous- that view from receptions looking out to the ocean is SURREAL. The staff are accommodating, friendly & helpful. We had an issue with the AC in our room, after they 'fixed' it my boyfriend got a little stern with them & told them they're messing with my 40th bday trip (& the 3 other rooms our party have wonderful, cool rooms) the manager upgraded us to a swim-out suite!!! Let me tell you something, I've had small issues with rooms/resorts & usually they DGAF in Mexico but he actually listened! The swim-out room had worse AC issues (84° with 80% humidity) but at least he tried. The nightly entertainment was fun -the burlesque show was pretty low budget but definitely entertaining. My party was all obsessed with the chilaquiles at the buffet (often organizing daily activities around the chilaquiles schedule!) the steak house was good, we couldn't get into the EIGHT seats at the tepan restaurant (don't even offer this as a restaurant?!), Olios requires pants, collared shirt & no sandals (& I'm not sure why my fellow 40 y/o friends didn't plan for this--eye roll) so we never got in. Most of my friends enjoyed the Italian restaurant but a couple said it hurt their stomachs. The coffee bar is GOOD & quick. I highly recommend the Temezcal (an ancient Mayan tradition) !!Book this a couple days in advance via the spa!

Our stay at haven was pretty good but the food was not great! The service was very good, the staff was friendly and attentive. Our butler Gabriela was great and our bartenders Omar and Saul were awesome at the serenity pool. Our biggest complaint was that the restaurants were hot, and the food was not good! The Mexican restaurant was just ok and Satsu, the Asian, was good but the rest of the food we had was very marginal for the cost. While the views were nice, and the pool a wonderful relaxation, we would not go back simply because the food was not up to par and also because I could feel every time my husband moved in the bed and I didn't sleep well.

My girlfriend and I took a short trip to Cancun in December and stayed at this resort. This was my first time at an all-inclusive, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I had a great time and it was a much needed getaway. The good: - The staff was great and so friendly from the moment we got there. Whether we were lounging by the poolside, at the restaurants, or just walking around, all the staff members had smiles on their faces and happy to help us when we needed anything. - Our rooms and the resort itself was really clean. We always passed staff mopping the floors or wiping things down. Rooms were also a nice size. We booked a room with the balcony jacuzzi, which was awesome! - We booked a spa service and it was great. Definitely pricey but it included an hour of hydrotherapy before our massages which was nice. Treat yoself!! - The pools are large and gorgeous with the ocean view. The bad: - We had some issues with our room. The left side sink wouldn't drain properly, so we were stuck with only one sink. The jacuzzi on the balcony also had broken jets on one side, so only half the jacuzzi worked. Lastly, the lock on our door malfunctioned one day and we were locked out even with a new room key. Security had to come and reprogram the door for us. - The food wasn't the greatest, and was pretty inconsistent. We tried Satsu our first night and the food was drenched in soy sauce. We tried Olios the next night (make a reservation because this place gets PACKED!) and we were absolutely blown away! We decided to make a reservation for the night after and the food the second time was not the same, even though we ordered the same things. The duck (which was my favorite from the first time) was not even the same color the second night, so strange. Overall, giving it 4 stars as we did have a pleasant experience and we loved the staff.

We recently held our wedding at this beautiful resort in Cancun, and while the venue itself is stunning with gorgeous views, our experience with the wedding department was a significant disappointment. Leading up to our wedding, we had our coordinator changed three times, with the final change occurring just ten days before the big day. While we tried to remain positive, the situation only worsened. On our wedding day, we learned that our assigned coordinator had taken the day off, and the events manager stepped in. Unfortunately, she was largely absent and didn't follow the detailed plan we had spent over a year creating. The groom and I ended up managing everything ourselves, which added unnecessary stress to what should have been a joyful day. To make matters worse, after the wedding, we discovered that over $300 worth of our décor was either stolen or carelessly thrown away, and what we did receive back was damaged. Despite numerous emails to the resort about these issues, and after 2 weeks without hearing anything we finally received a response. We were told that the items we wanted returned to us after the wedding had all been broken. They then proceeded in lying about the items being broken before our wedding when they were intact fully the day of our wedding (not broken at all and we have photos from our photographer showing they are completely intact). We believe the resort weddings department is fully responsible for reimbursing these broken irreplaceable items. However, they refuse to offer any compensation other than 2 free nights at their resort which does not suffice given we would have to spend money to go to Cancun and just want our items reimbursed for given everything else negative regarding our wedding experience. Why would we have any interest in going back to this resort too when they did not go above and beyond to do their job for our wedding? Completely beyond me and super unprofessional. While I highly recommend the resort itself for a vacation, I cannot recommend booking your wedding here unless you want to take on all the planning yourself. If you do decide to use this resort to get married, I recommend completely using all outside vendors and not to use the wedding department. The wedding coordinators, particularly Karla and Julia, did not fulfill their responsibilities, and only one staff member, Lizandro, provided any real assistance along with the outside vendors who were the main reason our wedding day came together decorations wise. It's clear that improvements are needed in their wedding department to ensure that couples can truly enjoy their special day without added stress. Rooms4.0Service1.0Location5.0
I'ts been almost a month since we enjoyed our stay at Haven and I am STILL wishing I was there. 10000000/10, can't recommend anymore. I'm not even sure where to start, but let's go. Check-in was amazing. We upgraded to the Serenity Package so we got a separate lobby check-in area which included a snack bar, a private bar where they were ready to serve us drinks while we waited for our room keys, etc. The workers that got set up with our rooms were fantastic and got us ready to get to our rooms quickly. Upon check-in we gave our bags to the waitstaff and they made sure they were ready in our room once we checked in which was awesome. The resort itself is simply fantastic. There are a ton of restaurants and bars to check out, shows to see on a nightly basis, and just a ton of property to explore in general. Everything was pristine and pleasant. The employees were INSANELY kind here. And it wasn't even seemingly forced - everybody here seemed to enjoy their jobs and they were so attentive, personable, and kind. It made the experience that much more special. The food was actually so good - I saw so many reviews claiming that it wasn't that great but we were pleasantly surprised. Room service menu was so solid (esp after a day full of tequila shots...) and I LOVED that they have a cool little room service cubby where they place your food so you don't even have to answer the door late at night! We absolutely loved the Vista restaurant (Serenity Club only). The shrimp tacos and ribeye tacos were SUPERB. My dad was craving a shrimp ceviche and they only served veggie ceviche, but they got our room info and made sure that they had specially made shrimp ceviche for us the next day. Not only was it DELICIOUS, but they were expecting us and knew exactly that we were the group ready for the shrimp ceviche! The nightclub (Moons Cabaret) is a little on the small side, but it's fun for a quick show/dancing moment before bed. The bar gets a little busy, but that's to be expected. My husband and I also indulged in the spa and absolutely loved our treatment! We did the hydro hot/cold experience and it was fantastic. I'm a baby when it comes to cold water, but it was so refreshing and our spa waiter was amazing and so kind. Highly recommend. ABOVE ALL, the highest of my kudos go to our butler/concierge, Miguel. With the Serenity Club package you're given a butler/concierge that you communicate with via WhatsApp and he helped up with EVERYTHING the entire trip - and even became a friend. He made all of our dinner reservations, replied to all room requests, and even helped me on my quest for my lost glasses (LOL, another story for another time). Miguel made our stay the most seamless experience ever and he was so funny, kind, and caring. I literally can not say enough good things about him. If I found that Miguel took his talents to another resort, I would visit that resort just for him. I highly suggest upgrading to the Serenity package just for the chance of being introduced to him! We were looking forward to this trip for nearly a YEAR and it lived up to every expectation. There are so many things that I left out that I could talk about all day - just know that if you are vacationing here, you will NOT regret it. read more
Absolutely fantastic time here! Would highly recommend giving this place a try! Restaurants - They have many different restaurants here (some are Serenity Club members only). 24 hour room service as well as a restaurant open around the clock! The food was absolutely delicious no matter where we ate at. Olios was probably our favorite but it was hard to choose. The taco station out by the pool was incredible too. Just simple tacos but the flavor was high quality! Pools - We chose a swim up room because that's the vibe we were going for during this trip. Party pool was really nice (not as crazy as other places we've been to). Their biggest pool is the "quiet" pool and because this resort is so close to the water, the view is incredible! Bars - Drinks are flowing wherever you go! Great pours, creative specialty drinks, and a wide variety of alcohol Service - Top tier! All of our wait staff and bartenders were fantastic. Even the people that turned over our room twice during our stay were very nice and respectful. Rule of thumb for any place you're staying at is be friendly and treat others nice, and you get it back in return x10. A couple bartenders got to know us so well that they would bring us drinks that we frequented that we didn't even ask for! Massage/spa - Probably the most unique and in depth massage/spa experiences we have ever had and will have in our lives. No phones in the spa area so I don't have any pictures. Their website doesn't do the justice. It's worth every penny and the experience from start to finish (while a long one) is absolutely worth it. Book it on a cloudy/rainy day, you won't regret it! Everything here is very walkable. Other resorts can get very big and in the heat, walking is quite the chore. Here, many things are very close to where you're at so walking from one end of the resort to the other isn't very strenuous. Overall, this would be a resort we'd come back to. There's many resorts in Cancun but this one stands out above many others! read more
Had a great time celebrating a milestone birthday! We stayed about 4 nights which was enough for us. Its not a huge resort and there isn't a ton of different clubs or activities like bigger resorts, but if you're there for 3-5 days then you'll have time to do everything they offer in a more intimate and relaxed setting. We participated in the arts/crafts activity, the evening club entertainment (trivia night & shows), ate at each restaurant, and enjoyed the activities they offered such as "Casino Night", etc. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spacious - we had a swim out room which was very pleasant and far enough from the main pool that we didn't have any noise. Very relaxing. read more

OMG we had the best time at this resort. I would've book longer if I knew this place was that amazing. We did have a wedding off site. But this place has got to be one of the best resorts out there. The sit down restaurants were the best. The accommodations were amazing. read more

Just returned from a vacation at Haven Riviera Cancun Resort and have to say it is a first class operation. The facilities are immaculate; the employees top class; the guest rooms spectacular; the room service; and then a few problems we incurred. The food was plentiful...but not so tasty...in all restaurants, buffet and room service. On one visit to the buffet my Godson got sick on the ceviche. And the Spa had a hydrotherapy section that had someone lead each of us through. Started in the sauna....steamroom...multi head shower room....and then a series of hydro pools. I was led out of the facility by a women while my friend received a neck/shoulder and head massage. When I asked the front desk attendant at the spa why I didn't receive it as well, I was told, Have a Nice Day! But with all the hiccups, it is a great place to go...to relax...to enjoy...and to experience. read more

I had such high hopes and was so excited to go on this vacation. I can't believe we had the experience that we had. It was horrible. This was my birthday trip, and nothing made it worth celebrating. I contacted the resort prior to our stay to ask about birthday experiences and things. The person I talked to said they would make sure to make a note and make it special. I wrote emails to Victoria the concierge and she kept saying she attached files which she did not. I wanted to schedule the chef tasting and she never wrote back to me. I wrote Gabriel at amstar to schedule our transportation from the airport to the resort and never got a response after providing our flight information. We had to pay $100 to take a taxi to the resort. When we got to the resort, there was nothing in our room to celebrate my birthday. This was fine as I just chalked it up to miscommunication. The door did not close all the way so we had to make sure to remember to pull it closed every time. The second day we had dinner at Satsu. I went to use the restroom and slipped on the tile outside. I told the concierge and they did not even seem concerned. I still have bruises on my elbow, hip and knee. This was absolutely irresponsible of the resort to not even escalate to management. I told Allen about it and the next day Victoria offered me a cream. What would a cream help?? We did the "complimentary" shopping trip to Playa del Carmen on Tuesday. This was a scam. The jewelry I bought from Matises had a stone fall out immediately after purchase. The driver drove so fast 20mph over the speed limit and even hit a car with his side mirror. It was so unsafe. The next day we went scuba diving which was the best thing we did besides the spa. We wanted to eat at Olios but they could not accommodate our timing with the excursion. When we got back to our room from the dive, there was a man spray painting outlet covers in the doorway. He don't even stop when we walked up so that the fumes weren't in our face. One of my bathing suit cover ups was taken from the room by the maid service I assume because it was white and looked like the sheets. My fiancé asked the concierge about this and they said they'd look into it but obviously not. This morning when we were about to check out we scheduled the bell hop the come get our luggage. When we got to the room after breakfast all our luggage and bags were gone already. I had a pair of shoes sitting under the tv because I was going to wear them to the airport. They weren't in any of our bags. When we asked about them one of the bellmen went to "look" for them. I followed a minute or so behind and when I got to our room he was already gone. My fiancé called and told me he brought them to him and said they were in the closet. We never used the closet. This was very questionable. Like they wanted to steal my shoes or something. I hate that this was such a horrible trip. The bartenders were all very good. Everyone else was subpar. So was the food. I wanted to love it and was so looking forward to spending a relaxing time there. I'm so disappointed and angry with the wasted time and money. read more

We came here for our honeymoon and it was overall a pretty great experience! It's an adults only resort and we paid for the serenity upgrade. The food at the Mediterranean restaurant was great and the tequila tasting and chefs table experience was fantastic! Although the beach itself has a bunch of seaweed and I wouldn't recommend swimming in the ocean because of it. One night we showed up for our dinner reservations at the Italian restaurant without being told that the restaurant was closed. Thankfully someone helped us get a new res set up. Our room was always clean which was nice. The excursions rep didn't get my prescription for goggles to snorkel like he was supposed to though which made that excursion a less pleasant experience. The room was beautiful though and the pools were always nice and quiet. Unfortunately they were doing construction while we were there which kind of sucks but otherwise I really enjoyed it! read more

Rooms4.0Service1.0Location5.0 read more

This is the most frustrating experience I've had with a resort. I booked 3 rooms directly through the Haven website, each for a 1 week stay in January. The deposit was charged to my credit card and I received confirmation emails. Three days later, I received an email indicating the reservations were cancelled. I immediately emailed the resort hoping the emails were sent in error. I never heard back from them. I called the resort and was put on hold while the lady "tried to figure out" what happened, but I was ultimately hung up on after waiting on hold. I called again and was put on hold yet AGAIN. The lady said she would look into it and get back to me. I never heard back. I'm sure this review is going to receive a cookie cutter AI response indicating "please call us so we can look into this for you", but I've already done that multiple times with no results. This is supposed to be a high end resort supposedly with good customer service, but I've had better customer service at the DMV. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise if this is the way they treat their customers. Vacationers beware, I would hate for someone to show up for their vacation only to find it had been cancelled. read more
What an amazing resort. It is about 30 minutes from the airport but it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the actual resort from the front gate. When we arrived at the airport, an attendant said, "oh you're at the resort in the jungle". Didn't know how to take it but yes literally in the woods but once you get to the resort and just look out at the amazing view, you won't mind at all. We upgraded our room and had the luxury of being on the Secrets side which provided us with treats daily, aroma therapy in the room daily, complementary water therapy, a personal butler, and all restaurants on the resort which was not available to all guest. We had our personal pool that also appeared to be an infinity pool also. The rooms above had outside jacuzzis on the balcony. Room service and turn down service daily. You have your own door-bell, buttons for you to let maid service know when or when not to come inside and a lil cabinet for you to place your empty plates instead of on the floor. The room was a nice size, the refrigerator stayed stacked with beer, soda and water. As well as potato chips in a little storage area next to refrigerator. The TV was a smart TV with all the apps making it easy for you to log in and watch whatever and it also allows you to mirror your phone. There was networks like Fox, CNN but many of the stations were in Spanish. We didn't really spend much time on beach and primarily hung out by our pool but did venture over to the beach like pool and it was so beautiful. The water seemed warmer on that side and be prepared, the sun hits differently. We ate at Vistas several times and enjoyed coming here for lunch. The other pool was nice, we sat in the cabanas and enjoyed the view and . The water therapy is something to just try. It was amazing...so relaxing and tranquil. Staff was always present and very helpful and attentive. Staff was always pleasant and eager to help. Our favorite restaurant was the Asian Restaurant and the buffet breakfast was great with the various options given. My main love for this resort was that at this moment it is not a family resort and there were no kids around. It was peaceful and not really a partying type of resort. We tried attending the burlesque show which started at 9:30pm and arrived at 9:15pm and it was already packed. The following night we arrived at 9:00pm for the Michael Jackson show which was good. Tequila clearly is the favorite drink here and there was always a bar nearby to grab a drink but not before 11am. They have a cafe that constantly has snacks as well as another area for guest to grabs snacks and drinks and also participate in making drinks with staff on particular days. Overall, the place was very relaxing, friendly and clean. There was construction taking place. I believe they are working on a family part to the resort. I believe the room came with a complementary Mozcal. We didn't like it at all. Had a Smokey taste to it. read more
We stayed 6 nights at the Haven resort, after a 4 night stay at Le Blanc. We were worried that it would feel like a downgrade but instead we were pleasantly surprised with the level of service, food, and cleanliness. The pools are beautiful and the swim out rooms are perfect in the heat of summer. The serenity upgrade gives you many perks, and is well worth it if you really want oceanfront rooms with good amount of privacy. I have never seen a hotel with rooms this close to the ocean. The surprisingly good: The room service - which can be delivered through a little cubby hole (if you are away or if you have do not disturb on). That's awesome. The wait service that goes all the way to your own swimout pool, even in the ocean front areas that's at the edge of the resort - that's a walk! The way the resort handles dining. Only one restaurant requires reservation. The other restaurants have very little to no wait times. Whenever the hotel has certain capacities met, they will open the buffet restaurant for dinner to offset the crowd. The buffets also change themes every night. Asian, Mediterranean, etc. How close your room can be to the ocean. Please see picture. The good: Housekeeping comes twice a day. They do a great job. The minibar never misses a day either. The food is consistent and good. The resort is clean. The room size is good and love the dual sinks - which Le Blanc did not have. The not so good: The spa - pretty sure the massage made my muscles feel worse not better. Hubby felt the same way. The drinks are NOT consistent. My husband and I usually get the same drink. They would taste completely different. Lots of birds around the property. Which isn't a bad thing. But this is the reason why the hotel doesn't allow food around the pool and people complain and don't seem to get that. While I was there, a bird attacked me from behind (that's the not so good part). The disappointments: The beach is not swimmable due to seaweed. We knew there would be a lot of seaweed but we didn't know it would be like, 4 foot high. Only certain areas smelled and overall it wasn't a big deal for us but it really is an astronomical amount of seaweed. FYI: The ATM charges $6.95 transaction fee and 6.95% exchange fee. It gives you USD only. So it's hefty to get some cash out. We had to do that a couple of times to tip but you do get great service either way. The airport transfer and taxi only takes cash (USD or pesos). They do not accept cards - even if the window sticker says they do. The bars here do not give you straws. read more
Honestly I expected so much more since this is one of the newer properties in Cancun but I was bit underwhelmed. I still had an amazing time, I just think my exceptions were a bit too high. The Pros: The property is extremely beautiful, inside and out. The rooms are super modern and I loved it. The staff for the most part was pretty friendly, and the pool was amazing... which included a pool bar. Most nights there was something to do (parties, casino) The Cons: The food was just ok... When I'm at an all inclusive I pig out 98% of the time and there I barely ate. Most of the food was nasty and if it wasn't nasty it was just ok. Nothing stood out at all. The drinks... horrible to say the least. Every drink I had to get an extra shot to make it stronger... It seemed like all of the drinks were watered down or something. Also I noticed that we were being served all the bottom shelf liquor and was told the premium liquor is for premium guest... so Im guessing you have to book the butler service or something to get the premium liquor. IDK. Last but not least we were put in building 6 which is right across from the new building that's being built. So there was construction going on, well at least it was when I went (3/2022). We didn't hear much noise but our balcony was extremely dusty every single day due to the construction.. so I had to constantly clean out our Jacuzzi on the balcony and we really couldn't keep the balcony door open to feel the breeze due to the dust. Would I go back? Maybe... The hotel is still fairly new, so I may go back in a year or two and see if there are any improvements. PS. They are veryyyyyyyy stingy with the wash clothes... So to save yourself the headache I would bring a few of my own. read more

A lot to say about this property. Firstly the property itself has a newer and older side. The older side is where the large circular pool is - the one you see in all the photos. I was excited to go to that pool but unfortunately it's so large and declined like a lake the middle has a lot of dead bugs in it, as well as old likes from drinks decaying. Due to size and set up doesn't seems like it filters well. Also there are areas of that pool that need repainting and maintenance. There is another decent size pool in the middle of the resort for everyone with a swim up bar. Sort of loud if your not drinking or partying. They leave water spin bikes and a volley ball net in the pool all the time that takes up valuable real estate. Food was decent- edible but not great by any means. Asian restaurant was pretty awful as so was room service. I ate a lot of salad and chicken breast for lack of anything better. Worst part was the Mexican food was all tasteless and super dry. Pretty good drinks (name brand liquor) and breakfast buffet. Little for vegetarians, barely anything for vegans. My vegan companion just had to eat lettuce and plain rice. The new side which is the Serenity club side is much nicer, newly done rooms which are spacious. The rooms on all sides have a jacuzzi tub in the balcony. I really enjoyed that however I had to clean it myself as there was a line of soap scum. Thing is for the price of Serenity you don't get much more- food is the same, drinks are the same but you can use two small pools just for Serenity club which I preferred. Mattresses were good but all room and linens smelled musty a scent in the hotel would have gone a very long way. I will mention that you should be careful when you open the balcony door- the rooms get super humid and the stone floors are so slippery (with no big carpet) I slipped and fell. For the Serenity Club I was supposed to get a pillow menu, personalized snacks/ booze amongst other things. Anytime I tried to get in touch with someone on the phone for help I would get transferred so many times I eventually would get hung up on. Beach area was just ok, not so many chairs or side tables available. My real problem which ruined this whole resort was how poor the service is. The front desk men are arrogant and straight up horrible. One named Ruben who refused to let me speak with the GM actually (said he was in charge of the front desk) started yelling at me- it was completely inappropriate, embarrassing and shocking. Because of him I would never go back. The check in process was awful and left me very confused about restaurants, activities, timing, etc. It set the tone for the whole trip- no one knew what was going on. I felt like I missed out on a lot because of that. I did not like how upon checkin you HAVE to sign a waiver stating the hotel is not responsible for anything in the room NOT locked in a safe. It made me feel unsafe. I also did not like how when the hotel "held bags" they were just piled by the front door- no one was watching them. I took mine without anyone asking me for a ticket and I could have easily taken anyone else's bags. It was completely unsecured. Best service were the great guys at the Serenity Pool especially Regelio who was the best at the whole resort. He went above and beyond to help me with any questions I had- when the concierge and front desk couldn't help at all (or didn't want to). Even hostesses were rude. I was 5 min late for a reservation because I was waiting for someone to acknowledge me, then they said I missed it and couldn't be seated (because I was standing there being ignored). The staff needs training in guest relations badly. Based on awful check in, reception staff and food I would not go back. Positives were good mattress, Serenity Pool staff, and Serenity pool. read more

I agree with so many other reviews. This place would be great if the food & drinks were better. Only the buffet was open for breakfast and lunch. So, you're paying $hundreds more than a regular hotel, and all you get for lunch is hotdogs and hamburgers. Maybe some self-serve tacos. They kicked us out of the hibachi before we'd finished, in only 50 min, to make room for another group. And the Italian restaurant served inedibly burnt pizza. I know some like that, so please see included photos and decide for yourself if you'd choose to pay $700 a night to eat it. Lastly, there was a walnut shell in my desert and I chipped a tooth. read more
This place should be called Heaven. It was so beautiful but beyond the beauty the staff is really what makes this place spectacular! My wife and I needed a getaway after 2020 and Haven delivered. We were greeted by Yvonne in the serenity room as we purchased the upgrade (which I highly recommend) the first thing was to get checked in and while we waited we were offered champagne and whiskey followed by shots! Once we were all checked in Luis showed us the lay off the land and had our bags delivered to our room. Once we were settled we explored everything that was available. We started in the serenity lounge where there is good and drink around the clock, finger sandwiches, salads, fruit and chocolates. Then we went to the pool where we met Vanessa ( I want to say she's a promoter/hostess for the resort, I'm not sure if there's a title for what she and Paola do but they are damn good at it) who told us about the activities for the evening. It was pretty awesome they put on some really good shows every night and host activities during the day. Over the course of the next few days we ate at every restaurant at the resort Flavours was our go to breakfast spot, Mistral was our lunch spot for bomb tacos made to order and Olios was the best dinner we had while there! But probably my favorite was the food box attached to the room. If you order room service they put it in the box attached to your room and you grab it when you are ready, very convenient! They also had a spa which I highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND, ask for Abigail for your massage. She was amazing and the spa is ridiculous awesome! There are so many good people that work at this place just to make sure your stay is amazing. read more

This was our first trip ever to Cancun, and also our Honeymoon! We stayed for 5 days, 4 nights. We were very pleased that we picked the Haven, as it was a laid back, BEAUTIFUL resort! Pros: - Only 15 minutes from the airport! - Clean Resort, filled with many staff members. - Staff members were all so friendly, greeting you, and smiling! - Pool staff tended to guests often, and they kept the drinks coming! - Both pools are so beautiful, and very big; everyone was able to keep a good distance from other groups. - All-inclusive; never had to worry about paying (just bring some dollars for tips!) - Swim out room- WORTH IT! - Comfy beds - Awesome bathroom; with bluetooth connection! - Big rooms, and great amount of storage Cons: - Food was eh, I've had better. Buffets were a little disappointing. (Best restaurants we ate at was Satsu and Agua Bendita, we did not try Olios but heard that was great as well!) - Restroom inside your room does not have any ventilation or fan. - If you are sensitive to noise it can be hard to sleep at night sometimes; front doors are very thin (can hear groups passing, or room service cart passing, etc.). Overall, the Pros outweighed the Cons. This really is a beautiful resort, you should give it a try if you enjoy a more laid back atmosphere!! read more

Haven Riviera Cancun was paradise! The master suite was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. The view... surreal. If you have the ability to upgrade to the Serenity package, do it! In some of my experiences with all-inclusive resorts, food isn't the best. However, Haven was delicious! We dined at Satsu a couple of the evenings. It was delicious. My hubby and I are foodies, so we were pleasantly surprised when the resort food exceeded our expectations. The staff were very attentive and helpful. They had plenty of activities, lounge chairs, cabanas, etc. Every morning, we woke up to watch the sunrise from our balcony. The layout of the resort made it easy to get to different points. The pools were spacious, clean, and beautiful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We will be sure to make that our go-to resort. Things to remember, tipping, make your dinner reservations in advance on their very convenient app, and enjoy! read more
We've enjoyed the service at all the restaurants - excellent! The air down restaurants offer different menu items and can keep u entertained during your stay with ample choices. The pools are nice and beautifully done. Decor is modern and beaches are ok. They're still working on completing rest of buildings and another restaurant - we enjoy the views of the ocean and the relaxing environ. Only thing we're not keen on is that they do allow smoking in certain areas and it does waft over while on balcony or by pool. The spa pricing is a bit on the high side unfortunately. They're working on finishing up the resort and it'll be great when done. read more

Beautiful resort - romance rooms and serenity club rooms are all beautiful, newly updated and spacious. Definitely do serenity though for the ability of extra restaurants, spa discounts, butler service, and premium liquor options!! The ability to get reservations over new years break was near impossible but we managed. There's ALWAYS tables available - just speak to the restaurant manager. We discovered the mixologist bar on the last night - sadly. It was always slammed so we never stopped but my goodness he makes the BEST drinks. Must go every night before dinner for a drink or two. Way better than any drink on the resort. Our favourite was the Japanese restaurant Satsu- our waiter Amalio was amazing, attentive, friendly and provided the best service we experienced at the resort! We actually had him 2 times. Thank you Amalio! I wouldn't recommend the Mexican steakhouse - we didn't go as anyone and everyone we spoke to were disappointed. Olios was great - food was cold though. Tahani was also great for dinner! New years dinner was a complete shit show LOL and freezing - considering it was a set menu and they had already taken our meals down many days in advance. Could have used some work. New years show was also an absolute bore. Was falling asleep until the DJ finally came on after the countdown. Spa was amazing with the baths and the massage. If you are in serenity club you get free baths and the steam/ sauna /cold dip and a scalp massage all for $19 US dollars. They don't tell you all it includes though as I think they want you to spend more money! That's all you need!! Erasmo in the spa was amazing and super friendly and helpful! Everything was beautiful - pools, main areas, etc however the beach wasn't very nice and I love a good beach. Not much to see other than a lot of garbage as soon as you pass the property line. So sad. Beach could really use some camping and cleaning up. But if you prefer the pool then this is the place for you. Tennis court needs to be re- done!! Falling apart read more

This place is absolutely amazing , the service and amazing staff is just incredible. Went on a week long vacation with my girlfriend and we had the most amazing and most respectful and relaxed time ever. All restaurants are great but the one stood out the most to me is the Italian by the name VORAMAR. I had a special romantic reservation and they just made it unforgettable. Their manager Oswaldo was really respectful and really made sure everything is good , the hostess Joselyn was just amazing gave us an amazing seating with the best table set up , took our pictures and she was just great. The server Daniel was absolute best server , he made sure we had it all and if we asked for more we would get right away. He is an absolute pleasure to have as a server. Overall the best resort and the best and most delicious food. read more

This resort is absolutely stunning. The swim out room we stayed in was very spacious and tons of storage space. 24 hour room service was amazing and service was quick. Going to the pool was our favorite part of the day. All of the guest and staff were very friendly. The reason I'm giving a 4 star is because of the restaurant reservations policy. Once we arrived and checked in we were not able to get any reservations for the two restaurants that required them, they were booked until we left. My issue with this is they were only open at dinner time and with a resort of this size why would you not allow reservations throughout the day?. I don't feel like it was fair and all guest should be able to book ahead of time especially if you are trying to do it as soon as you check in. Overall great resort but the reservations policy needs to be changed or open for more hours. read more

We spent 12 days at this resort in November, food was good and we stayed in a serenity room. Our butler, Gaby, looked after all reservations. All of the restaurants were good. it was nice that you did not have to worry about getting pool side lounges as there was lots to choose from. Nightly entertainment was good. The beach was ok but not as nice as the beaches in Cancun. We have been to several high end resorts in the Mayan and we would rate this as a good four star resort. Dave S read more

For a well-deserved week, we took ourselves on a romantic getaway to Cancún to get a head start on our 10th wedding anniversary. We had the pleasure of staying at Haven where the ambiance was sophisticated yet comfortable, the food was divine (Satsu was our favorite and we went there every night and staying there for 5 nights says a lot) and the service was exceedingly accommodating and personable. Luxury and comfort was always attainable and very affordable. The staff was professional and always quick to accommodate. Our room had an adjacent beach view, but it was still breathtaking. It was clean, spacious, inviting and the complementary loaded refrigerator was great for late nights and when we wanted to take waters with us in our book bags for our excursions. Major plus, it was literally 10-15 minutes from the Cancún Airport, and using our GPS, we found our temporary home with ease. It is a seemingly far drive from the main road to the resort, so the seclusion helped add peace of mind. With numerous hotels and resorts on the Riviera Maya strip, we cared more-so for relaxing than activities (knowing we were going to leave for an excursion or two anyway) so as long as we had a spa, a pool/lounge area and all our basic needs, we were content. The breakfast buffet was amazing! From the beverages, to the plethora of fruits, baked goods, meats, cheese, traditional American Morning dishes, as well as Mexican dishes as well. It's self serve, but you still have a waiter who will bring you any little thing you may need to make your meal that much better. The pools never seemed over crowded (we went the week of Hurricane Dorian/ first week of September) and pool side assistance was readily available. The Spa prices are very expensive, but please check for daily specials. My husband and I always get a massage for our anniversary and this year, since we were in Cancun, the price was so expensive, my husband opted out. But when he happened to go try and change it so we could do an excursion, they were having a privy seals of the day promotion. We were able to get a couple massage with hydro therapy on the beach, and I was able to get a full body scrub for $108 each. We were so happy we were able to relax and indulge all within our budget. Ana and Liliana were amazing! Now, if we traveled with the kids and chose a kid-friendly resort (ours was for adults only, but we found out upon checkout that they are opening a family side of the resort 2020 ) we would have chose one with more activities and events on site. The live bands in one of the bars were nice, but the shows at the cabaret could use more excitement. Our crowd was impressed and clapped for the performers, so I guess it depends on the crowd and not juts the performers. The drinks were many and plenty and they were mixed quite well for me. Most drinks were made with pineapple, so I had to ask for substitutes, but the alcohol percentage wasn't compromised at all! We really loved the cafe lounge in the library for a quick hot drink or snack while waiting in between for restaurants to open up. The vegan gelato and iced coffee was my favorite. Mexican coffee is so delicious and doesn't give me the jitters (thanks to hormones after my last child I don't do well with coffee anymore) so that was a pleasant surprise. From our arrival to our many departures, Antonio was reliable, friendly and resourceful. He added to the pleasantness of our stay! Only down side was the seasonal large grasshoppers, and the limited 24 room service. Reflecting back on our throughly enjoyed visit, I'm glad we chose the Haven to begin our 10th year of marriage. read more

Currently staying at Haven and checking out tomorrow. We opted for a Serenity Club room and don't regret it for a second. It guaranteed us a prime and beautiful oceanfront suite and also a great spa experience (30min hydrotherapy included daily) Christian at the spa was amazing. We upgraded to a Water experience which included both hydrotherapy and hot sauna and an incredible shoulder massage for $20 extra dollars. Worth. Every. Penny. Serenity club also gives you access to the restaurant above the circular pool which Is open for breakfast and lunch and is truly spectacular (great food and even better service there from Luis!) My favorite part about the resort is that the beach is so well taken care of (THANK YOU!) I was so worried that the hotel beach would be covered in seaweed and they did such a great job clearing it with a truck and with a guy and a wheel barrel. An all day job and a job well done. Made the experience a million times better (can't say the same about the hotel next door - moon palace) We also loved limes Bar, great drinks and service from Santos. We were able to order and enjoy a hookah outside- $35 up charge, but great. Overall, we were all so pleasantly surprised and our expectations were blown out of the water. Can't wait to come back and bring along some friends. read more
I stayed at the Haven Resort and my best friend had her wedding ceremony there. Needless to say it's a beautiful resort! I just hope they fix some things to make it more entertaining and enjoyable. Cons: The wedding coordinator Aranzu was the worst wedding planner ever!! She was totally unprofessional, unorganized, not commutative, literally will make you worry if your wedding will even be what you paid for because she does not respond to any questions or concerns. We had no idea what time the wedding rehearsal was until a couple weeks before the wedding when we had been communicating for a year. When it came time to do the rehearsal we couldn't rehearse because she scheduled it the same time there was a wedding going on so we had to have the wedding without the rehearsal I was suppose to have and paid for. Even on the day of the wedding she got the entire set up wrong. Most of the food at the restaurants were blah, it was bland and the drinks were more juice than alcohol. All of the restaurants and bars close by midnight and the only option is room service which will give you food but no alcohol. One of the nights during my stay I tried to call room service and had trouble trying to get a hold of them and the front desk. After numerous of phone calls to the room service and front desk without an answer, I literally had to leave my room and go to the front desk and wait for someone to return so I can order food, it was such an Inconvenience. When he returned he had the nerve to give me attitude. I was told the food would be delivered in 20 minutes and didn't get it until 45 min later. Not to mention it all tasted Like middle school cafeteria food! None of the bars at the pools will service alcohol until 11am, which I don't understand why being it is an adult only hotel. If you want to get a taxi to downtown Cancun is $35 for 1-4 people and $70 for 5-8 people each way. Pros: Some of the staff members were very nice. Alberto and David at the hibachi restaurant Satsu were great and which also had the best food on the resort. The drinks at Lime were the best, you could actually taste the alcohol and the bartenders put them in nice glasses with garnishes verses in plastic cups. The swim out pools were nice. Felicatas and Marilu were our servers at the serenity pool and were so sweet and provided great service. To sum it up this hotel is for those adults who literally want to be away from everything, relax at a beautiful resort with ok food, and go to bed by 10pm. read more

Writing this review in September really makes me miss this vacation in June. My heart. This place was absolutely beautiful. Adults only bliss. My gosh I remember walking in and being in complete awe because I have never been as pampered as I was in Mexico. The country itself is beautiful, we learned so much. This place gave us the boujee vibes we were going for. First, there were not a lot of people. You weren't pushing your way through tourists and that right there is the best stars for me. We stayed at three resorts and this one was my favorite. The staff, the ambiance, the all-inclusiveness, like yes. We were only here for one night, so sleep when your dead right. And we did all the things we could. Yoga on the beach, poolside tequila, seafood night, a burlesque show, and a nightclub. All that in one day - talk about activities! The room itself was filled with my favorite colors. The bathroom, incredible. There was a bathtub on the balcony that we took full advantage of as well. I absolutely loved this place. read more

*** ATTENTION!! READ!!! *** If I could give zero stars I would. I took my mother to Cancun and we stayed at Haven Resorts & Spa from May 9th to May 13th in Room #2112. Hotel/Location -- As you can see from my photos, the resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The facilities are nice and clean. The beach however is dirty. They need to constantly clean the seaweed at the beach. It smells so bad so you would not want to swim. The resort is 15-20 min from the hotel zone area and 30 min from downtown Cancun/Mercado 28/Puerto Juarez so if you want to go there, you are forced to take the expensive taxi service that the resort has. The taxi drivers hangout near the entrance of the resort and THEY WILL CHARGE YOU TOURIST PRICES. One taxi driver charged us $900 pesos when it was $600 pesos fare normally to the destination we were going. Food & Room Service -- Rating 2.5/5. The food is somewhat decent compared to the other all inclusive hotels in Cancun. I think breakfast menu was the only thing I really liked because you can't really mess up breakfast food unless you really tried. For dinner, we tried the three restaurants that they have on the 3rd floor during the duration of our stay. The most decent one was the Mexican Steak place only because we decided to pay the extra charge so we can have the good steak on a sizzling plate (see pics). I wanted to love the Japanese restaurant that they had which was Satsu but the service was extremely horrible. We waited so long for our food and when my food was delivered to our table, THE MEAT WAS UNDERCOOKED. I asked the waiter to tell the kitchen to cook the pork a little more and they decided to just add some green Mediterranean sauce on it instead of fully cooking the pork. Safety & Security -- This is the cherry on top of my review during our stay in Haven Riviera. There are surveillance cameras everywhere you look in this resort including right outside your hotel room. Security would know who was in and out your hotel room at all times and which staff was working in your room to clean & restock drinks / replace towels. On the day of our check out, my mom started freaking out. Her gold 18k carat necklace was STOLEN from the vanity table in the bathroom. Every time we travel, we usually leave important documents such as IDs, passports, etc in the locked safe. She usually just leaves her necklace in her little jewelry bag mixed with other jewelries made of plastic or stones. We never had issues of theft in any of the hotels we have stayed at around the world even when there were housekeepers coming in & out of the hotel room. This was the first time we ever had to deal with theft. I searched the ENTIRE HOTEL ROOM from top to bottom including all our belongings. The necklace was nowhere to be found. The security came in our room and had my mom file a report on paper. Security said it was protocol he also searches the entire room and all our belongings. I watched this man go through all of our belongings and did not find anything. He told us that they will do an investigation and the hotel will follow up with us within 48 hours. ***When we got back home here in Texas and unpacked our belongings, the necklace suddenly appeared in my mom's makeup bag. I find it funny how the necklace suddenly appeared after they knew we were not going to let theft slide. My mom is not old and she is not forgetful. I am also far from senile and I SEARCHED THAT SAME MAKEUP BAG FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. I find it funny that the necklace appeared after security went through our belongings.*** You think this story is crazy? Go look at all the Google reviews and search the word "theft" and "stolen". You will see that this isn't the first time this has happened with this hotel. A similar situation happened to another guest. Overall, ZERO STARS. I had a lot of friends/family asking about this resort but now I am making sure to tell them to book somewhere else when they are in Cancun. What we paid at this resort was not worth the headache we had to deal with on our last day!!! read more

I booked this property for my husband's birthday, initially drawn in by its positive reviews. However, our stay turned out to be disappointing. Despite the enticing images of the three large pools, we were dismayed to find that the water was heated even in scorching temperatures, making it uncomfortable for a refreshing swim. The smaller pool near our Serenity Club room was slightly cooler, so that's where we spent most of our time. The food experience was also underwhelming, particularly during breakfast and lunch, where it felt like leftovers were being served. We ended up hungry and eagerly waited to return home for a satisfying meal. While the dinner at the various restaurants was passable, the Italian option was notably disappointing. What truly soured our experience was the staff's attitude. A significant portion of the staff seemed to view us as walking ATM machines, assuming we were from LA and should provide generous tips. On one occasion, after tipping $6, our waiter's demeanor changed, and he neglected to bring my last glass of wine. This sense of entitlement extended to various situations, leaving us feeling undervalued and taken for granted. The episode at the cabana epitomized this attitude. Despite being short on cash due to a broken ATM, we managed to offer $5 to the cabana attendant. His reaction, discussing the tip with a colleague in Spanish, made us feel embarrassed and infuriated. The situation only improved after the ATM was fixed two days later. It's evident that there's a pressing issue with staff attitudes that needs addressing. Perhaps the hotel's low pay structure and reliance on tips contribute to this problem. Management should consider investing in better training and fair wages to rectify this issue and provide guests with a more enjoyable experience. Unless these concerns are addressed, I'm hesitant not only to return to Haven Riviera Hotel but also to visit Cancun agaccin. read more

Without doubt Haven was our favorite hotel during our time in Cancun! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, our names were mentioned at the reception where they had champagne waiting for us. I will say being part of the Serenity Club is TOTALLY worth it. You feel VIP everywhere you go in the hotel, you have a special lounge, special restaurant with pool view and the water circuit included. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurants were very flexible and delicious! We had amazing here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The bars are so nice, drinks are delicious! Paco was out butler and we felt like he was our friend. Paco has such a warm personality and highly motivated staff member (recommendable!). We truly enjoyed his special touch on each encounter we had. He set up early breakfast for us before tours and he always checked in to make sure we were well taken care of. Ernest was the manager, and he always had a welcoming smile and was so helpful. The second day we had a massage and tried the water circuit which was a dream come true in the Paradise of Cancun! The pools and the beach were beautiful, and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here, a true sample of excellent hospitality! read more

Please DO NOT book your stay here. We never even got a chance to get to the resort due to our plane getting cancelled, dealing with the mass cancellations at the end of 2022. There were no flights getting there until 3 days later (the same day we were supposed to return). We understand the cancellation policy but this was completely out of our control. We were at the airport ready to board our flight and got notified of the cancelled plane. They did not offer any possibility of a resort credit or partial refund. We didn't even want a refund, we only wanted to move our reservation to a further date. There were thousands of others affected by these cancelled flights and they offered no concession. The reservations representative was extremely short with responses and refused to let me speak with management. It was clear that they only cared about the money and not their customers. Instead of gaining customers who visit their resort frequently, they chose to keep our $2,400 without an ounce of sympathy. Save yourselves time and frustration, they do not care about their customers! read more

Beautiful resort, but that is about it. The service is very slow and at times could care less if the customers were there or not. The food was average across the entire resort. Lastly, I picked up a parasite while staying here and another person in our party got sick with ecoli. A real problem for anyone travelling. I wouldn't recommend this resort. read more
