Our stay at ATELIER Playa Mujeres was truly next level easily one of the best all-inclusive experiences I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was on another level. The staff treats you like family while still delivering top tier luxury. The drinks? Top of the line. Not watered down, not basic real quality liquor, crafted cocktails, and premium options everywhere you go. The food was consistently fresh, beautifully presented, and restaurant quality at every spot on the property. No "typical all-inclusive" shortcuts here everything tasted made to order. And the ambiance... unbeatable. The architecture, the art inspired design, the infinity pools, the beach views it seriously feels like heaven on earth. My first visit in to the Atelier in 2025 was so incredible I was excited to return this year. Last year, the hotel surprised me with birthday decorations in my room, so I naturally expected something similar this year. I even noted my birthday on the reservation and mentioned it to my butler the day of. Unfortunately, my birthday came and went with nothing. Only after I complained did decorations appear the following day along with an opportunity for a free spa massage in exchange for listening to a 90 min sales pitch. After such a missed opportunity with the birthday decor, I should've known it was going downhill from here. After the presentation that ended up being 3 hours not 90 mins, I signed up the the Inspira vacation membership but changed my mind the following day. I submitted a cancellation request for the membership within the contract's grace period and received no response until after that period had passed. It's says a lot about the character of a brand when a company is highly responsive during the sales process but far less responsive when a customer exercises their contractual rights. Also, Maria Dolores wasn't great. It was actually a 5/10. The other restaurants on property have way better food. After this experience, I will NEVER return. read more

Last year, we visited with another couple and had an amazing experience. The food, atmosphere, service, and overall vibes were so incredible that we decided to join the Inspira Club and immediately booked another trip for this year with additional family, my husbands sons and their wives along with our original friends that's joined us the first time. We reserved 3 rooms. Unfortunately, this visit started off on the wrong foot and never quite recovered. Before arriving, we were promised SUV transportation with a credit, but instead received a van and were charged the full price. Upon arrival, Erika immediately tried to convince us to attend another sales presentation to upgrade our membership, which was disappointing considering we had already purchased into the program. Things didn't improve from there. Our rooms were not ready until 3:00 PM, one of our rooms we were assigned smelled strongly of mold. It was unbearable. Thankfully, the room my husband and I were in smelled wonderful, but then we encountered ongoing issues with the air conditioning. The temperature would not go below 77°F. We called multiple times, and the explanations became increasingly absurd. One technician initially told us he could switch the system to Fahrenheit so we could better understand the room temperature. Later, another staff member claimed that because the AC was set to Fahrenheit, it wouldn't work properly. That explanation made absolutely no sense and left us frustrated. Dinner at Maria Dolores was another disappointment. None of us enjoyed the meal. What made the experience worse was that my husband, who was dressed in nice leather sandals, dress pants, and a collared shirt, was required to walk all the way back to our room to change shoes, while other guests wearing sandals were allowed to remain. The inconsistency was frustrating and embarrassing. The one bright spot was our waiter, who provided excellent service throughout the evening. Overall, we found much of the food around the resort to be bland. However, there were some standout employees who truly elevated our experience. Gisell at El Cielo Bar was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and responsible for making our pool days enjoyable. El Cielo also became our favorite spot after dinner thanks to Rober, who consistently went above and beyond. He was always encouraging guests to try new drinks and made sure everyone in our group felt welcomed and taken care of. Domingo and Alexis were also very helpful, made sure we were taken care of. One final frustration was the departure process. The night before checkout, it felt like the resort was already trying to push us out. Transportation plans were changed multiple times, creating unnecessary stress. The operations team was extremely pushy about getting us to the airport four hours before our flight, which felt excessive and unreasonable. The experience was frustrating enough that if we ever return--even as members--we will likely arrange our own transportation through Uber rather than rely on the resort. It's disappointing to write this review because we loved this property enough to become members after our first stay. Unfortunately, this trip felt completely different. While there were a few exceptional employees who saved parts of the experience, the operational issues, inconsistent policies, membership pressure, transportation problems, room concerns, and overall decline in service left us questioning whether our membership was worth the investment. read more

We have been Atelier members for years, and our most recent visit involved a wedding for my daughter. After a year of planning with our assigned Atelier wedding planner, DENISE HERNANDEZ, the wedding day finally arrived. It was fantastic! As the main point of contact for the wedding, I interacted with DENISE via telephone, zoom, and ultimately in person. She was professional, made great recommendations, and was attentive at all times. Furthermore, the reservations department did a good job assisting us with the rooms, and all of the Atelier contracted vendors came through as promised. We experienced no hiccups and really didn't want the night to end. Regarding the Atelier Hotel itself, it is a truly a five star all inclusive experience. The accommodations, food, and service are all top-notch. We never had any issues with getting restaurant reservations, spa reservations, pool chairs, or beach chairs. Regarding the pool beds (canopy like structures), it is typical that some guests will visit the main pool at 6:30am, put a few items down, and then return hours later. For several hours in the morning, no one else who is present can access the pool beds. I noticed this on two different days, when I spent morning hours at the pool. There might be a system Atelier can come up with to prevent guests from doing this or assigning a time limit the beds can be unoccupied. Regarding the accommodations, we booked several rooms via the wedding reservation block and via my membership. I was assigned a rooftop suite with an outdoor jacuzzi. The room was awesome. It was two stories with a huge deck and an ocean view. The room was stocked daily with snacks and drinks. I had an opportunity to interact with the beverage/snack cart employee, EYNER, on a couple of occasions. EYNER was super friendly and took pride in his work. Speaking of room-related beverages and food, I also interacted with CHRISTIAN from room service who did an excellent job bringing the food and drinks to my suite for the groom and his groomsmen on the wedding day. The HOUSEKEEPERS also did a great job each day and even organized the cords related to our electronic devices. As part of our room category, we were assigned two butlers, HIRAM AND MARTIN. They assisted with reservations, getting items ironed for the wedding, and helping us facilitate other things that needed to be done. HIRAM also assisted us with getting airport lounge passes. We appreciated both HIRAM AND MARTIN for their dedicated service. When not spending time at the regular pools, we enjoyed the Inspira members rooftop pool but quickly noticed some of our favorite food, such as the empanadas were no longer being served. The food service at the rooftop during the day required some patience, but the servers themselves were excellent. During the day, ANGELES and EVOL were very accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the pool. At night, one of best servers was KAREN, who we met during a previous stay at the Atelier. On the topic of restaurants and bars, the food and service at all of them was exceptional. Regarding Bar De La Calle, we had the pleasure of mixologist, ALBERTO, making us some very special drinks. ALBERTO is a staple at the Atelier, and I hope he continues to work there. He is fantastic. Although I did not note all of the staff members that assisted us, JOEL, in the steakhouse did a wonderful job for our large groups. We also had the chance to take a salsa making class in ALBA during our visit. The staff members were friendly, fun, and informative. It was really a fun class. And last but not least, six of us had dinner at Maria Dolores. It was perfect. The food was unique, and the service was fantastic. We look forward to our next adventure at the Atelier! read more

Atelier is BEAUTIFUL with the best food and drinks we've ever had at an all inclusive resort. They are renowned for their restaurants and bars for a reason and those accolades are well deserved. The grounds and rooms are beautiful and well maintained and the service during our stay was always polite and pleasant while not particularly outstanding or memorable. What made this vacation experience less than perfect was the condescending attitude and general lack of hospitality we endured from the reservations and reception team at check-in mostly led by Dinara that was pretty indignant with us about the package we booked through our credit card company not including all of the amenities listed on the confirmation documents we provided. There appears to a bait and switch issue with Atelier's advertised rooms through third parties that the hotel is aware of but the paying guests are who feel the impact upon arrival and this truly put a damper on an otherwise perfect experience, that has made us hesitant to return to this resort. The made to order grilled or fried whole fish we enjoyed for lunch at waterfront El suspiro, fresh made breakfast chilaquiles and Bellinis at Mercado 19, wood fired pizzas and seafood pastas at Cilento with ocean views, charcuterie and wine tasting on the patio at sunset, and the lamb chops cooked to perfection at Los abrazos, were again... some of the best plates we've ever eaten from a hotel. All of the craft cocktails we had were expertly mixed with top-shelf spirits and were never watered down. The "relaxing" pool was the perfect mix of action and relaxation, so we did not let the check-in disparities ruin our vacation experience but they certainly did rain on our parade for a bit. The rooftop pool was nice and worth the splurge if you're celebrating a special occasion but you also won't go wrong at the other pools that have great views and service too. We did the hydrotherapy massages and the session was relaxing until I contracted a rash from one of the salt scrubs they gave me to put on before the sauna, a short time after leaving the spa lol. *This is NOT a party atmosphere. If you're looking for excitement after 10pm, you'll have to make your own good time because everything shuts down but their "club" that is typically pretty empty. read more

Just visited for a second time during the holidays! I still think the resort is beautiful and the service is wonderful. They offer lots of delicious food - lobster tail, filet mignon, chilaquiles, Mexican buffet night - the list goes on and on! I really wish we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve good spots at the pool. I also don't enjoy having to make dinner reservations. Once you arrive, you're immediately welcomed with scented face towels and a glass of champagne. Fitness options: 24/7 gym and nearby Alba serves protein smoothies and healthy salads. I had a bite of the New York steak and rib eye - def preferred the New York steak. The grilled shrimp was plump. Takeshi - Our second favorite spot. The sushi here was surprisingly better than Kopai's given that Kopai is a Japanese restaurant and Takeshi serves a variety of Asian dishes. The chicken Tikka Masala had bone in chicken that was so tender and robust flavor! Yuzu cocktail was refreshing. Kopai - Camelado (coffee jello vanilla ice cream and condensed milk) - so good that I had a second order! Banana rolls (thinly sliced plantains with cream cheese was dessert like). Avoid the pad Tha - too sweet and noodles were gummy. Cilento - Serves Italian food. My son's fave dish was the lobster fusilli. Limencello dessert was beautiful and delicious! El Suspiro - Lobster! Need I say more? Limon y Sol - Good lunch option for chicken bao and chicken skewers. Portions are tapas sized. Can order for pool side service. Mercado 19 - A robust variety of breakfast buffet options. Room service takes about 30 mins. The chicken and shrimp quesadilla were tasty. It was very convenient to utilize the app to order as we were headed back from our excursion to have lunch waiting for us. AquaWorld and BD Experience stands throughout the resort - Many tour options at an additional cost. We booked a swimming with whale shark tour. The boat ride is over 1 hour each way and you may get sea sick. Had about 7 other boats circling the same whale shark so it can feel a bit chaotic. However once you're in the water , the whale sharks experience is breath taking. Cons - Activities are first come, first serve with limited space. This created unnecessary anxiety and resulted in guests lining up early for activities. They had an Acrobatic show that was very entertaining and worth attending! Pro tip: Get a room in building 2 if possible. It's closer to the beach and ideally located closer to most restaurants and Deseo theater room. Building 3 is furthest from beach and only has a few restaurants but it is closer to the convention center meeting rooms. We went to building three only once to go to Kopai restaurant. Within building two, rooms 1-20 and 70-90 were closer to restaurants and gym but further from pool and beach. Noisier as people walk past on the way to restaurants and gym. I'd recommend rooms 21- 69 in building twi as they were quieter and a closer walk to pools and beach. inspiro upgrade wasn't offered when we checked in but from what I could tell, it wasn't necessary. Upgrade gives you a room with a swim up pool (that's connected to your neighbors and was in the shade), cabanas with ocean view and pool access to 5th floor roof deck during the day. read more

Starting off 2025 with the best place I visited in 2024! I researched this resort on various sites and the reviews were stellar. I decided that I wanted to spend my birthday at Atelier. I booked my vacation through Delta Vacations. It included the resort accommodations, flights and transportation. The resort is absolutely stunning. Check in took a little longer than expected, but besides that, it was smooth. We were given champagne and beautifully scented towels upon arrival. The resorts smells wonderful. It was so good that I purchased a room spray version of the scent to take home. Our rooms were located in building 3 on the 4th floor. I ended up getting an ocean view king room and it was perfect. The room was very spacious and clean. The only complaint was the refrigerator didn't work, but I honestly never used it. The room was stocked with drinks and snacks daily. Out of all the restaurants we visited, Takeshi was my favorite. It's their Asian themed restaurant and the food was SO good. I had sushi, fried rice and an Indian dish called Rogan Josh. Our favorite pool was the "quiet pool ". We visited a few time and received stellar service from Julio. The spa was exceptional. It was really the best spa experience I've had and Ada did wonderfully on my massage. We attended a tequila tasting for an additional charge. It was fun and very informative. I really could go on and on about this wonderful resort. The food was exceptional, the beach is pristine, the drinks were great, but above all else the staff were really awesome. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS PLACE!!! My girlfriend and I just went here for the very first time and it was our first trip to Cancun and we were beyond excited. We purchased an Ocean View room and when we got to our room it was all trees! So we already wasted a night there and we brought this up with management, it took them 6 hours to move us to our next destination room. The worst part about it, there was barely any ocean view! Not only that, I got massive food poisoning from the sushi restaurant that night! I came back to my room with body aches and chills. We purchase our stay for 3 days and we couldn't get past 2 days as my girlfriend and I just had to leave that place. The management didn't bother to check on us or rectify the situation. We had to pay additional money just to fly home early as we were so distraught from our stay here. I will NEVER visit this property again and I'll be reporting this to PROFECO! read more

This place was beyond our expectations. A bit further from the airport but worth it. From the service, to the rooms, to the restaurants and entertainment...everything was great. Loved our room and all of the special touches from the snacks and wine to the robes and slippers. Excellent view from the balcony and amazing food in the restaurants. We have been to this resort several times, and it has always been great. That was true for our last trip, with a few exceptions: 1. Teenagers are now allowed at the resort. We specifically loved this resort because it was adults-only, and we never had to deal with any of the behaviors you often see with the under-21 crowd (there are plenty of other hotels for them to thrive and party as they wish). On this trip, we witnessed some of the worst, most immature, and inappropriate behavior from a group of about 30 teenagers--most of whom were under 18 by their own admission. It didn't bother our group too much until the midnight hallway screaming matches, doorbell ringing, and finally, watching a group shotgun a few beers and start throwing the empty cans off their balcony. A few other folks who saw it mentioned it to the staff just in time for the managers and guests to see one of them start urinating off their balcony (Building 2) onto the boardwalk below. Someone in the pool started yelling at them immediately, and they ran back into their room. This really killed the relaxing vibe of the resort. I appreciate the staff and feel especially bad for the custodian who had to go down and mop the boardwalk, but they needed to rein in the behavior. A few managers showed up and reassured us they would handle it and that those guests would no longer be allowed to drink on the property. The group at the pool was unanimously asking for them to be kicked out of the resort. No such luck; we spotted them later that evening down at the beach, still being belligerent. I mentioned this behavior and the balcony event to the front desk staff during our stay and at checkout. They had no idea what we were talking about and insisted that everyone at the resort was an adult and that the behavior we (and others) reported was not tolerated. Several other guests, who had been there for a few days before we arrived, shared with us that the teenagers were all from a high school on the East Coast and had already been told to leave the pool for disruptive behavior on a previous occasion. Atelier, you will kill your reputation if you continue to allow this to happen. 2. Inspira Perks and Maria Dolores We upgraded to Inspira at check-in. This used to be worth it; now, I am not so sure. Dinner at Maria Dolores used to be included with the Inspira-level rooms, but now it is just 50% off food (unless you stay 7+ days). Dinner at Maria Dolores was good and is still one of the better restaurants in the Cancun area. However, when the bill came, we had to remind them we received 50% off. We also had a bit of back-and-forth because we were charged for drinks that were included in the resort's all-inclusive package. As was the case during previous visits--and what we were told at check-in during the Inspira upgrade offer--standard bar drinks were included with dinner, though we could purchase bottles of wine. We were initially charged for drinks we brought in and drinks we ordered at the table. Long story short, they removed the charge for the drinks we brought to the table, but they still insisted on charging us for cocktails we ordered at the table--the exact same cocktails that are included at any other bar on the property. Regarding the spa discount, we were also offered 20% off (the spa is great!). Our room butler was unable to book us two massages, saying they did not have the times we requested available across two different days. However, we were able to book directly on the spa's website, which showed tons of availability every day. But again, when we went to check out after an amazing treatment, we were told the 20% discount did not apply because we booked a "special" instead of a regular treatment available through the resort. The special was a couples massage priced exactly the same as the regular menu. Atelier, if you are reading this, PLEASE do not continue to allow patrons under the age of 18. We loved this resort because it was always relaxing, chic, elevated, and fun. This last trip was the exact opposite. My wife and I just finished a wonderful 10 day vacation here. The resort was beautiful and well maintained and the staff was extremely friendly. This is our fourth time at an all inclusive. We got a basic room, but I can honestly say that it felt like the nicest room we have stayed in yet. The pool was very nice although the one draw back is the stiff competition for seating near the pool. I would absolutely recommend trying a stay here. read more

My husband and I booked our honeymoon stay at Atelier through Capital One, arriving Tuesday and staying through Sunday. We were excited--this was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we had paid for one of the top-tier experiences, complete with butler service, full all-inclusive access, and all the bells and whistles. When we arrived, we were greeted with champagne and a beautiful first impression. But as we sat down to check in and receive our wristband room keys, a staff member informed us that we still owed $3,200 and couldn't proceed until it was paid. This came as a total shock, especially since the base room payment had already been processed through Capital One. We were asked to step aside and figure it out ourselves--while other guests looked on--which felt awkward and out of place for a resort of this caliber. Eventually, the staff allowed us to stay in our reserved room while the issue was being sorted, but not before telling us--rather pretentiously--that they were doing us a favor by letting us stay. Despite having already paid for a luxury experience, they stripped us of all premium perks: no butler, no top-tier dining, no access to the experiences we specifically booked. We understand conflicts between hotels and third-party bookings can happen, but the handling of it lacked tact, discretion, and hospitality. Things didn't get much better from there. We tried dining at Kopai, the on-site sushi restaurant, and it was shockingly bad--gas station-level sushi paired with Maruchan instant ramen. I like Maruchan in the right context, but not at a resort promising elevated cuisine. To top it off, my husband left his bag--wallet, IDs, and favorite hat included--at Kopai. Thankfully, the staff returned it quickly, which I genuinely appreciated. But by then, the stress had caught up to us. I broke down in tears. It was supposed to be our dream honeymoon--and instead, it felt like one problem after another. My husband tried to salvage the evening by bringing me up to the rooftop pool attached to our room. But as soon as we got in, we discovered the jets don't work after 9 PM. So we just sat in cold bathwater, exhausted and disappointed. Night one? Rough. Honeymoon vibes? Nonexistent. Thankfully, things turned around after the rocky start. Once our wristbands were corrected, the difference in access was clear. A staff member came by at night to spritz a cedar aroma in our room before bed, and we received a bottle of champagne and a chocolate heart filled with more chocolates on Day 2. A fun, romantic touch. The butler service was fine--more of a reservation assistant than a personal concierge. For me, the best perk wasn't the service--it was access to the rooftop Inspira pool club. Standard guests don't get in until evening, and the food up there was phenomenal. The wraps, the skewers--easily some of the best bites of the trip. Now for the real stars: * The hydrotherapy and massage were by far the best experiences of the stay. The spa is ranked among the top 50 worldwide, and it shows. It was the best massage I've ever had--I fell asleep by the end. * Cilento served up one of the best pastas I've had in my life. The lobster fusilli was fresh, delicate, and beautifully presented. The chef even came out to explain the dish personally. The rack of lamb at Los Abrazos was perfectly cooked and fall-off-the-bone tender. * The Amorcito Corazón cocktail--tequila, tamarind, triple sec, hibiscus, and salt--was to die for. Some experiences were more forgettable. The gin and tonic class felt more like a performance than an interactive class. You just watch a guy make drinks. One guest got to participate--myself, luckily--which made it more fun for us. Karaoke night was exactly what you'd hope for: drunk renditions of George Strait followed by a couple who absolutely slayed Beyoncé and a soulful version of Tennessee Whiskey. After that, the rest of us should've just gone home. Staff were kind, but not particularly memorable. And no one really followed up about the check-in issue. Instead, we were occasionally reminded that we were "lucky" to have gotten the deal we did through Capital One--something that started to feel a little passive-aggressive after a while. Bottom line: Atelier is a beautiful, high-end resort that delivered some truly memorable moments--but I don't feel the need to return. If they offer you a free world-class massage to sit through a one-hour timeshare pitch, take it. Just don't buy. There's a whole world out there. Unless you're retired with endless vacation days, I'd say skip becoming a "Cancún Adult." You'll find better value--and less pretense--elsewhere read more

Wow! I had an amazing time here! My best friend loves this place, and became a member. I went with her and I can absolutely see why she loves it and has been 4 times. This resort was wonderful. The pools are great, the beach is amazing, the rooms are comfortable and great, and the food is incredible. You come home rested! I would say this place is wellness focused. There are as many people in the gym at 8am as there are the evening events. I was truly blown away by the food. Almost every restaurant even had a vegan menu! Everything was incredibly delicious. My favorites were the Mediteranean restuarant, the Italian restaurant, and the Asian restauarent. But everything was so delicious!!! The rooms were nice. We had a swim out pool. Our room was huge and beautiful. The bed was so comfortable, and I loved that there were a couple different pillow options. It was great sleep!!! The gym is great here. And there are so many different gym classes. I did more on vacation than I do at home because it was easy and fun! (I did pilates, stretching, aquafit, and TRX). The beach is beautiful. Soft white sand. Small waves. Mostly clear water. Perfect beach! (Oh and no one hassling you to buy things!) We sat in cabanas on the beach a lot of the time. It was amazing to have food and drinks brought to you on the beach! There are multiple pools and they're all great. I loved the rooftop pool, it had an incredible view! It was like nowhere else! (And again, it's great having drinks brought to you in the pool). There are plenty of athletic activities during the day. The entertainment team was wonderful! I really loved the outdoor classes, the bike tour, and the art workshop classes! Butler/concierge service was really nice (I can't tell the difference)! When I had questions about things, I'd just text it to them (in our What'sapp group). They booked us dinner reservations, and the bike tour. The staff here is really wonderful! Everyone was so kind, friendly, and helpful. Everyone spoke English! Shout outs: Our concierge/butlers were Cristal and Rodolfo, and they were incredible. Javier at Consentida was amazing (so helpful for me getting vegetarian food). The servers at the cabanas were great! The entertainment team was so fun and friendly, Keila, Marisabela, and a couple more people I can't remember their names. Olga and Arturo at the gym were such great instructors! Summary: This is a great resort in a beautiful location, with great beaches, drinks, and food. It's wellness not party focused. Gym classes are more interesting than evening entertainment. We had a truly pleasant vacation experience at Atelier Playa Mujeres and started. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and visited to celebrate positive career changes and job promotions. I like the fact that it is a local, Mexican-owned and -operate resort. Our travel agent recommended it. We had a Junior Oceanfront Suite. I high recommend the Inspira membership which provides discounts through the resort, you own private pool, and provides you with a Butler/personal concierge who will handle everything for you from uploading your luggage, to adjustment dinner reservations, to helping celebrate a special milestone. This is a large resort and there will be lots of walking to prepare for that. We also went during a time of year when it is very humid but also very rainy, but that didn't really impact our enjoyment that much except outside activities on our veranda with our private pool. Were on the top floor and the resort has a lot of indoor-outdoor architecture where the outdoors is welcomes indoors, so you will feel the humidity throughout and the patio furniture on our veranda often was damp. The beach is beautiful but there are a lot of bugs, so you may want to take insect repellant with you. They have over 9 restaurants on-site. All of them good to excellent in rating. The staff here are excellent. There's also a convention center. They have open access to the cabanas on the beach but they are first come-first serve so to get a front row you need to be out there rather early--I'm taking 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. in the morning. Be careful about presentation that try to get you to purchase a membership especially if you are an American visiting and staying on the Inpsira side because they may target you to purchase a membership and bypass your travel agent which were were roped into but declined to move forward which may the presenters rather visibly upset. They are trying to make money for the business. We really felt that all of the amenities available to us were not really explained upfront when we checked it and we were piecemealed information through our stay and were surprised what we had available to us at time that were were never told about. All we know is what we are told and what is explained to us when booking but all of that onus is not on the travel agent---much of it is also on the property upon check in and I believe they don't really provide a lot of information upon check-in like a map on purchase because we didn't get one until mid-stay. We had a pleasant trip overall but they need to make some upgrades. We had some minor air conditioning noise issues and I recommend they have insect repellent in the rooms or at least on the beach because the mosquitoes seem to be rampant this time of year. They also need to offer golf carts for people who cannot walk long distance because other similar resources that are smaller have those capabilities. They also do not have access to subscription services such as Netflix, Hulu, or Disney Plus and it would be nice to use our memberships since they often say "Welcome Home, Family." They also need to be more expository upon check-in with everything that is available with your purchase and not spoon feed patrons information about their payment just to advance their business plan. Otherwise, it is a beautiful property in a beautiful setting and we had a wonderful that that was good enough and long enough for us for this trip's purpose. read more

Just got back from Atelier Playa Mujeres, and it is very sad that our vacation is over!!!! I have many many positive things to say and 2 things that could have been improved, but by no means did it ruin our trip. The great- the property is BEAUTIFUL! Very relaxing, and worth the cost. We were inspira, which was an extra few grand, and I think we would have been happy without it, but it was really nice to have the extra amazing service and special parts of the resort that were for inspira- including special spots on the beach and special pool areas. Shout out to Leynor and Carlos, who were our amazing butlers and were doing everything they could to provide us with the best service. Apparently end of April/early May is the end of their quiet season, so Inspira is really the most useful when the resort is full and you need the extra spaces that are less crowded. Additionally the spa was incredible! I really enjoyed my massage! I would highly recommend this resort to others, but just be aware that it isn't a huge party scene, there are lots of activities through out the day and in the evening but its a more chill space. The staff were amazing, it was clear they work SO hard to give their guests really above and beyond service, so be prepared to bring lots of small bills and tip well when you go. The challenges- 1 the food was good not incredible! I heard lots of others rave about the food, however being from San Diego, which (I think) has a strong food scene, just means that I have pretty high standards. Plenty of places had good food, but only 1 or 2 items I ate in the week we were there were things that I really felt were above and beyond. Even Maria Delores was good, but nothing I ate left me dreaming about eating again in the future. However, being an AI resort I would say the food here was good, just not at the level I am used to. My favorite items were the breakfast that they made fresh to order, there was one app from Maria Delores that was amazing, and a few other small things, but I wasn't blown away. Secondly, we were inspira so they basically bribed us to attend their membership presentation (offered us free massages for the 90 min meeting). I don't regret doing it, however going in, my husband and I knew we weren't financially in a place to commit long term. They act like its so low pressure, but there was a period of intense guilt with comments like "This is why we generally leave these presentations only to those who are friends with members" (a lie) and "what did I do wrong that I haven't convinced you yet." It just left me feeling icky and annoyed- even if I had wanted to say yes, that behavior makes me actually want to say no on principle. Either way we said no, and after one strong pitch with numbers, they let it go. The guy who was trying to sell us just felt greasy and was trying so hard to be our best friend, until we said no, and then it felt like he turned on us. Its hard to say no to 400$ of massages, but the cost is just hidden a bit... Bottom line, I would definitely return, would recommend it to others, and I know others fall in love and like to go back over and over, and while I am not one of those folks, I can see the reasons they do. read more

I booked this vacation late at night while I was in Europe at the end of June or the beginning of July. The process was easy, from the atelier website to selecting the room we would prefer. I found the corner suite room with the reservation and decided on that one. It was maybe 2-to three weeks leading up to my trip when I started receiving emails and steps from the hotel Atelier, and that's when I was put in contact with Armando, and Martin (Butler service) shot out to them, and they were superb before arrival. I exceeded the expedition even after arrival with quick replies to texts and helpful daily information about activities at the hotel. They booked a nice romantic dinner a day before my birthday, which was an additional cost, but the food was delicious and worth it. We needed more days because the food was delicious, and they had various restaurants and bars to try out. My problem was I didn't have enough days for all . If you want to try something, I suggest tasting Tequila with Sergio. It was so informative and helpful, not to mention the tasting. I'm not a drinker, but it sure did take a few while in his class, and I could say I walked out on my own instead of being carried out. It was also a smooth transition from arrival to meeting the driver outside the airport. They sent an informed email about what to do for us to meet the driver and what to do, which helped. The ride was smooth and didn't take so long, either. There was a bit of traffic, but it was not unbelievable. Pulling up to the hotel was beautiful. Even the arrival and being greeted by a hotel staff member with a drink and cold towel were pleasant. It was hot, but there was such a beautiful view walking in. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was so helpful and friendly that it made me want to return soon for a much longer trip. We also didn't get any money exchange and didn't need to. However, I would suggest bringing $1,5,10,20. Overall, I had such a fantastic time on this trip. Our reservation was a suite. If you end up in building three or walk over, stop by and get a drink from Rober Whatever room you get will be worth it because you will enjoy your stay. My wife and I were there for business, and neither of us have ever been to Mexico before, so we had no expectations beyond what we read in reviews or the news about the resorts. This was such an amazing place! The staff always greet you with a smile and a hello, which always felt genuine and never forced. The food was amazing everywhere we went, including the room service steaks and cobb salad. There was a mariachi band one evening which gave us a wonderful authentic Mexican experience. Please, if you are there and you see a tequila master named Gorgio doing samplings, take his Master Class he offers about Tequila and Mescal!! 2-3 hours long, food sample pairings, and you learn the history of tequila that will make you appreciate it in such a way that you will never have salt or lime near it ever again. There is a cost but it's low and well worth the money! I cannot recommend it enough! Book restaurants a day or two in advance, they can get packed and leave you hunting, or having to buffet it, but even the buffet food was better than you expect! Note: It has been mentioned before but some wine is by the bottle and charged to your room without you realizing it. If you are cool with it, no problem, but if you are not, ask! There is plenty of free alcohol if you don't want to have to settle any charges on the last day. We would 100% go back again. This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive resort. The resort itself is beautiful and very close to the beach. There are some things that could be improved though for it being a 5-star hotel. Restaurant reservations: The hotel makes guests make reservations in advance to dine at most restaurants besides the buffets and despite half the restaurants being half-empty they were not flexible during dinner hours. It's hard to decide where to eat because menus are not posted online for the hotels. It would be easier to know what you're doing if you could research the restaurants ahead of time and maybe see photos of the food or drinks ahead of time. I know for some people they just want filler food, but for me food is important. Having 25 restaurants to choose from is daunting and there is nothing worse than a bad meal. Lack of Mexican food: The hotel has a wide-range of cuisines, but one of the weakest spots is actually Mexican food which was kind of surprising. The breakfast options are mostly American food. The Mexican dishes were uninspiring. Mexican is probably one of my top 3 cuisines, so it was disappointing to not see more of a focus on culture. Even a taco bar or burrito station would be fine. They did have a quesadilla stand that was okay and a chilaquiles stand which was also just okay. The focus was more on omeletes. The best meal I had was actually ironically a Spaghetti Carbonara and sushi. Even the themed restaurants could have more fusion type of dishes, but they do not. There was also not a huge selection of tequila or mezcal. Hotel room air control and temperature: The rooms are very nice inside, comfy beds and a nice patio setup. The rooms get very warm though and the thermostat was locked so we couldn't lower the temperature. When I asked room service if they could do anything, they said they are not allowed to alter the temperature. That's a little strange for a 5-star resort that is about $400-600 a night. It wasn't a big deal until we were going to sleep at night. It took the a/c unit hours to lower the temperature in the room and there was only one fan in the room. Hotel rules lack explanation: The resort has a vacation club called Inspira. They do not clearly explain to other guests what areas are for Inspira members or for regular guests. Guests cannot access the rooftop pool and bar until the evening and there is no signage so I wandered up the pool and then was told that I needed to leave. The same thing happened with the chairs on the ocean. Inspira members get front of the ocean views, but regular guests are hidden behind bushes. There is maybe one sign explaining this, but I didn't find out until a staff member told me I wasn't allowed to sit on the actually waterfront chairs. There is nothing wrong with having rules at the hotel, but they should be clearly explained at check-in and put in rooms for reference. Limited pool hours and drinking hours: The bars do not open until 10 a.m. There is no real reason for that since there are mimosas and champagne at the breakfast restaurants. We were at the pool from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. waiting for the bar to open. That does feel very American. The pools were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. instead of from sunrise to sunset, which also kind of sucks because the pools look very nice at night and I wanted to take a nightswim, but I could feel glares from the staff if I was close to the pool. Needs more activities: There was not enough to do on the property for people who like to stay busy or be more involved culturally when they travel. If they did have an activity such as tequila tasting it cost more money and didn't really make sense when you can drink tequila for free anyway with the all-inclusive band. We were pretty bored by the 2nd day. The resort could invest in more features for guests to keep them occupied. The nightclub was a nice touch, but the playlist looped and clubbing isn't for everyone. OK. Now for the pros at the resort. Friendly staff: Most of the staff I encountered was friendly. Bartenders seemed happy to serve requests. Most workers seemed to like working at Atelier. Room service came quickly when called and the staff kept the room clean. Check-out was a breeze. Plenty of pool chairs: The hotel was not terribly busy when we were there, but I can see how it can become that way. That said, there were plenty of pool chairs and areas to sit between the two major pools. I could easily spend all day at the pools and was happy that they had a good amount of seating. Staff will also let you order food and drinks from the pool seating area, but I found it faster just to swim up to a swim-up bar and order drinks myself. Good liquor selection: I was impressed with the liquor selection at events hosted by the company who invited us and also by the selection at the bars around the resort. I was able to order Espresso Martinis at many bars as well as Aperol Spritz cocktails. Bartenders had a good range of drink knowledge. read more

This was our second stay at Atelier Playa Mujeres as Inspira guests, and it continues to exceed expectations. The service, food, and attention to detail are consistently excellent. Our butlers, Alberto and Lazaro, were outstanding--checking in daily, handling every request promptly, and making our stay effortless. We'll definitely request them every time we return. We had a great dining experience at Mercado (breakfast and dinner), Kopai, and Cala di Luna, and previously enjoyed Los Abrazos, Alba, Takeshi, and Cilento. Carlos at Mercado provided excellent breakfast service. We also loved stopping by Cafecito for lattes and Azúcar for ice cream and pastries. Even room service was consistently fresh and well-prepared. We enjoyed drinks at Don Fernando and El Cielo at the Inspira pool. Don't miss the crème brûlée martini at Bar de la Calle. The Inspira pool was spotless and peaceful, with great service all around. Special thanks to the towel and seating attendant, who was always helpful and welcoming. The attendants at the Inspira beach also took great care of us. Our room was clean, well-stocked, and a perfect place to relax. We also visited the NUUP Spa for a massage and hydrotherapy circuit--beautiful, calm, and very worth it. Atelier offers the perfect mix of comfort and luxury. We're already looking forward to our next visit--and will definitely be asking for Alberto and Lazaro again! read more

Deeply Disappointed -- No Flexibility or Compassion Despite Medical Emergency I was scheduled to stay at Atelier Playa Mujeres in Cancun as part of a group trip and unfortunately became very ill just before departure. I reached out to the hotel three days in advance to explain the situation and followed up with a formal doctor's note requesting a medical exemption and refund. Despite the circumstances, the hotel refused to issue any refund of the $4,750 I had already paid. Instead, they offered only a one-year credit--with the added condition that I must rebook within seven days, which is unrealistic and unsupportive given the situation. What makes this worse is that the hotel currently appears fully booked on their website, meaning they likely resold my room. They are effectively keeping the full payment while also rebooking the same accommodation--double-dipping at the expense of a guest in crisis. This showed a complete lack of empathy or flexibility. I had expected far more from a luxury property like Atelier Playa Mujeres. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and taken advantage of during an already difficult time. I strongly encourage future travelers to understand how rigid and unsympathetic this hotel's policies can be--even in legitimate emergencies.Dee read more

What a STUNNING experience here. Every single minute of my stay felt like paradise. This was my very first time at an all-inclusive resort and it definitely surpassed my expectations! When I first arrived on the property, the staff was there to collect my bags and fully sanitize them to Covid regulations. I then was bought into the lobby area where I was greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, and the check-in process was so seamless. You receive a woven bracelet with capabilities to let you into your room, so the bracelet is your room key. I thought that this was really innovative. While I waited for my room to be completed, I sat at the lobby bar and had really great margaritas. The bartender was lovely. The room I chose was an ocean view junior suite, with a king-size bed. The room has a spacious balcony, great lighting, and a step-in tub. I'll just have to say that this room was such a delight to be in. The mattress was brand new, the channels on the TV were plenty, sometimes I go to different countries and you don't get access to the same channels that you have back at home, so it was nice that those were available to me if I wanted to watch them. The restaurants were fully capable of giving you anything your heart desired. I had amazing meals. Every single meal I had was delicious. From the Italian food to the Indian soup I got at the Asian restaurant, and my favorite place of all time El Suspiro the Mediterranean-inspired seafood restaurant. There were days on the trip when I could not believe that I was actually staying here. My favorite meal of all time had to be the Seabass at lunch. A full-fried fish, just how I like it. So flavorful and again the staff was amazing. During my stay here, I, unfortunately, lost an AirPod, just one! You can imagine my panic as I realized this happened on my very last day. But the staff was really kind, and they did their best to help me find it. We never end up ended up finding it, but the fact that they were willing and able to assist, someone even offered to walk around the property with me and retrace my steps just to find that AirPod. I was really grateful for the effort. I don't care what anybody says, this property is immaculate. Every single common area smelled amazing, the staff was attentive, and I had the best time here. I even ended up extending my trip one more day because I didn't want it to end, that's how much fun I was having, and I felt really valued here. read more

Positives: - HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP: We had a waiter on the beach named Miguel. He deserves this review and more. Miguel was very respectful, fun and worked extremely hard. He never stopped receiving drink/food orders, bringing food/drink orders, and cleaning up after guests. He always had a smile on his face and had a positive attitude. - Check-in: Greeted by a cold towel and glass of champagne. We arrived around 1PM and our room wasn't ready until 3PM, so we went to a restaurant and relaxed until our room was ready. Stress free check in experience! - Aesthetics and appearance: Very clean from public bathrooms to the amenity areas. Architecture and interior design are perfect... The outside landscape is beautiful and very well maintained. Rooms are well decorated and have an at-home feel. - Dining: the very first thing you should do is reserve tables for dinner. We were not able to try the steakhouse because it was booked from the minute we arrived. We tried the Italian (Cilento), Mexican (Mercado 19) and Japanese (Kopai) restaurants. The Mexican was slightly disappointing but there is a "taco truck" outside of the Bar De La Calle that was very good. (try the pastor!). The Italian was above average. (calamari was disappointing). The Japanese restaurant was 10/10 and our waiter was amazing. Room service has tons of options at all times which was truly a life saver. The order tracking on the app is very helpful, and we never had any issues with timing of the food or anything like that. - Beach: The beach was actually bigger than I expected. I can see how it can fill up during peak season but, we had no issues getting chairs. Concierge was great on the weekend but fell off during the week. They will find you chairs, bring you towels and even give you some face mist with a hydrating lotion. A very nice, unexpected touch!!! There are activities on the beach like beach volleyball, corn hole and bocce ball. There is some seaweed on the beach and a good amount in the water. Looks like they clear the seaweed from the beach every morning though. - Staff: Very friendly and considerate. When we were walking out of our room with our luggage, a janitor walked all the way to the elevator just to hit the button for us. - Security: We felt very secure at the resort. There are two or three checkpoints to get into Playa Mujeres "area" and the resort. Negatives: - Upon check-in we were told we had a $100 credit. I was positive this was for the spa but asked the cashier at the Bu-Utik if we could use it on souvenirs. They made a call and said yes. However, they wouldn't accept my card when paying the balance and insisted that it had to be charged to the room. Upon check-out, we were hit with a $200 bill. They did not end up accepted the credit like they said they would. Additionally, when we were at the Kopai restaurant, they asked if we were celebrating anything and we said yes, they then offered us wine but later told us there was a charge for it. We thought that they were doing something nice for us but seems like we were taken advantage of. BE CAREFUL with any goods, services or activities that may cost extra without you knowing. - $450 to play golf and have your partner ride in the cart is absurd... I was looking forward to playing because it looks like a beautiful course and has always been a dream of mine to play golf on a resort near the beach in Mexico. However, I have played Pebble Beach a few times, Silverleaf and Mirabel and even Martis Camp. Some of the best golf courses in the world. Our room had a golf course/ocean view and I maybe saw 2-3 golfers a day. It's sad... I really think they should lower the rates a bit. - The airport is a bit far about 30-40min. We had no issues but just an FYI. All in all, Atelier is 10/10. We understand that there will be negatives on every trip, but Atelier was a dream come true, and we are so grateful for everyone from Atelier that made our trip special. Just spent 4 wonderful days/nights at Estudio Playa Mujeres (the family side of Atelier). What a visually stunning hotel with phenomenal service. We were there for part of spring break. I didn't want to go to a raucous resort since we have young kids and wanted a relaxing vacation. I am so happy to have found Estudio! First off, the rooms are stunning. Lots of hardwood and stone everywhere, super modern fixtures. Comfy beds and lounge chairs. I booked a "terrace king" Inspira suite through JetBlue vacations, and they put us in an Inspira baby suite. We didn't need the crib, but as there was a sofa bed for my kids, I considered the baby suite an upgrade as the room was 50% bigger than the standard terrace or swim up suites and the terrace was was at least 50% bigger than the Inspira terrace suites. I think Inspira was worth the upgrade as the Inspira pools at both Estudio and Atelier were so much better, and it was nice to have the option of making reservations and eating at restaurants on both sides of the resort. Service was also better when the staff saw the Inspira bracelets. The food at the resort was beautifully presented and better than most all-inclusive resorts, although I think I preferred the food at Paradisus Playa del Carmen better. However, the drinks were much better at Estudio/Atelier. Much higher quality alcohol and mixers, much better bartenders. The bartender at the swim up bar on the Estudio side, Daniel, was phenomenal. Get the passion fruit mexcalito. It is SO GOOD. The kids club was excellent. My 6 year old would wake up in the morning wanting to know when he could go to kids club, and he would ask to stay through lunch and dinner. They do all sorts of activities ranging from arts and crafts to swimming to treasure hunts to star gazing. The service was always wonderful. The staff was so friendly and competent. I had read that the resort aggressively pushed their vacation program (sort of like a timeshare presentation), but we did not experience this. COVID stuff was very good too. The staff is always masked (and they actually wear their masks properly). Guests are required to wear their masks at the buffet. There is COVID testing on site. The rapid antigen test was included with our package (not sure if it is for all guests), and we got our results within half an hour. I believe there's insurance for guests built into their room rates too, which is comforting. I look forward to returning to this beautiful resort. read more

This was our second visit to this property, the last being May 2022. For some reason checking in seems to take a lot more time than it should but still about the same as some other all inclusive properties we've been to. We arrived about noon local time so grabbed some lunch at the Italian restaurant while we waited for our room to become available. By amount 1:30 we had wrapped lunch and just sat down in the Inspira area when we were informed our room was now ready. We had an inspira swim out room both times, this room however was about 10 rooms closer to the main part of the hotel which made this a bit more convenient for meals and a LOT quieter in out patio and private pool area as we were not right next to the main pool this time. As before all the restaurants were really good with the Asian restaurant (Takishi) perhaps being our favorite this time. The Italian was still good but they have changed their carbonara which was absolutely great and now it's not even proper carbonara. Los Abrazos was the same as last time with fair to good steaks. The prep and done-ness of then steaks is fine, the problem is the cuts of meat are not particularly great or consistent. That said I still enjoyed the 2 meals we had there but I wish they would tune up their sourcing on steaks. I saw wives trading their steaks with their husbands on both of our visits as the steak was just too tough but they didn't want to send things back. Our swim out room came with an Inspira upgrade which included our butlers Ping Ting and Alina. Our previous experiences with butlers were not very good but these 2 did a great job and provided just the level of service we needed without being intrusive. Whenever we needed help with reservations or anything else a call via WhatsApp was all it took. We saw them all the time in common areas and they always made a point I say hello and ask if there was anything they could assist with. The closest I could come to a complaint was with the watersports folks. We had low grade issues with them last time and again during this visit. While everyone else on property was very friendly and focused on the guests. Visits to the watersports box quite frankly gave the impression that you were a nuisance. An upside was that this was the first all inclusive that actually did something for our special occasion. Of about 10 other all inclusive property visits where we were visiting either during my wife's birthday or our anniversary Atelier is the only one that actually sent down an acknowledgement. In this case a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates. Thanks to Atelier for actually following up after asking. Easily giving this 5 stars as the overall experience was really nice. read more

This all-inclusive resort is AMAZING!! They set the bar very high for other all-inclusives in Cancun. We went during their soft opening 2 years ago for 5 days/4 nights (right before COVID started) and were able to stay in a beautiful rooftop suite. Food, drinks, service, and entertainment were all perfect. If you have the budget for it, I highly recommend getting the Inspira Rooftop Suite with the heated plunge pool. While not all of the rooftop suites were Inspira when we went, I believe that Atelier now only offers the Inspira package with these suites. You'll get breathtaking views of the ocean sunrise, sunset, and cloudless night sky dotted with stars, while hanging out in your own private enclosed rooftop area. I loved chilling in the plunge pool at various times during the day, but being up there at night, when you can hear the crashing waves and look up at the countless stars and constellations, was an incredible experience. There's even a full bathroom up on the roof, with an outdoor shower to rinse off after using the plunge pool. Every restaurant had incredible food, and the quality was the best I've had at any all-inclusive resort. There is a wide selection of cuisine for every meal, including buffet-style & restaurant-style dining or room service ordering. The breakfast buffet was my personal fave because it had a mix of traditional Mexican fare, fresh fruit, and typical American breakfast favorites. The croissants and Mexican hot chocolate are a must-get there! Also be sure to check out the steakhouse! There's plenty of entertainment and activities available all day (& night) long. We loved exploring and finding cool, new nooks and crannies, especially the working old-school pinball machine, tucked away in a corner, that we spent hours playing. And don't worry if you don't speak any Spanish because almost all the employees speak fluent English. They love making conversation and are super friendly and welcoming to all the guests. (Spanish will get you brownie points with them though lol.) Finally, while everything in the resort is included in the pricing, be sure to bring cash so you can tip all the hard workers who make the resort experience unforgettable! U.S. denominations work just fine, so there's no need to exchange them for Mexican pesos. Pro tip: Their champagne was great and is a good drink option if you want to switch it up from the sweet piña coladas and daiquiris but still want to make your vacay feel special! read more

This a a difficult one to rate. The pools, the beach, and the grounds were fabulous. The servers and employees were all courteous and attentive. You weren't even done with your drink at the pool when they were asking you if you needed another one. The best bar by far is the one in the welcome lobby. The mixologist just whipped me up something spectacular one day. The restaurants , the few we tried. The food was delicious, not so much the desserts. The best food and dessert was at Los Abrazos. But it's not easy to get a reservation. On that note, don't try and be smart and try and eat dinner twice. If you made a reservation and decided to eat somewhere else first. They cancel your reservation. This did. It happen to me but saw it happen to someone else who tried to be slick and have dinner twice. The nightclub on our first night was over run with teens. Since they allow 16 year old in the hotel. So it's not exactly adults only. There should be a separate nighttime space for them. They also were not ID at the bar. Adults left because they were on the stage. The room was my issue. We were in building 3. Upon entering, Wow. The sliding doors that reveal the bathroom. Excellent concept. My terrace had food on it I reported it and they came that evening to clean it up. We had a cracked sink. Not issue because there are 2 sinks. Not a problem really. On our last night, the night of our anniversary we noticed a leak in the bathroom. The little toilet room. I had seen water in the corner before but didn't think anything of it. This time there was more and the drops were noticeable. I will put the picture, but it might be hard to see. We called at 11 pm. The maintenance came at 12 am. When he opened the ceiling, they had buckets in there to catch the water! So they knew there was a leak and still gave out that room. The man removed lots of water. Now there es water all over the floor. The cleaning lady came at 1 am to mop the floors. They never checked on us, or offered us another room so we could go sleep in while they "fixed" our leak. They just put the buckets back up. This was our last night and it soured our experience. We left with no contact from concierge. read more

Atelier Playa Mujeres all inclusive resort examplifies customer service of excellence. I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights, and am in awe of the service and experience they offered. What I cannot fathom is how they only have a mere 4 stars instead of 5 on Yelp? From service, amenities, to cleanliness and food, everything was exquisite. Located in a secluded region, away from the tourist-y hotel zone, the 5 star all inclusive resort will give you a memorable experience for life. Service: From the moment we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with utmost friendliness. Bell desk and Front desk were courteous and knowledgable, answering all our questions regarding the resort and covid protocols. Bell desk will give you a quick tour as he takes you to your room, but since there is so many places to cover, you won't be able to remember all of the info covered. F&B staff were all extremely attentive and friendly as well. Very well trained staff and seemed like they take a lot of pride in the resort. With that said, even though almost every single employee we encountered were pleasant and friendly, some employees stood out and deserves some recognition. Yossei from the Bell Desk, Issac from the Spa, Marcos from the pool, and the tall skinny barista who works nights at the coffee shop, thank you all! Envionrment: Atelier is huge. You will spend a good amount of time exploring the place. Every corner of the resort is well kept, minimal dust and mess. The resort is stellar when it comes to environmental cleanliness. There is also music playing at almost every corner of the resort except for the beach and the room areas. The volume is kept modestly, and different type of music played to fit the different area of the resort. Essential oil diffuser is used everywhere as well, the moment you enter the resort, you will be met with a pleasantly light fragrance. Food: Food is pretty amazing. Exceeded my expectations by a mile. The resort offers everything from your poolside taco joint to a restaurant mimicking a fine dining experience. And since this is an all inclusive resort, all bars and restaurants are included in the price you paid upfront (except for one). Food tasted flavorful and fresh. Since there were so much dishes consumed during our 5 days here, I won't go into the details but I have to say you won't be disappointed. I do want to note that the restaurants do feel like they are missing just a bit of something when compared to your regular restaurants of similar caliber. But needless to say, there is definitely a wide variety of food to choose from. The Italian restaurant and the reservation only seafood restaurant stood out as the best among the others. Downsides: Though our experience was abosultely amazing, we still encountered some issues that could use some work. First, concierge needs a bit of work. There is only one conceige person (the other is a third party tour booking guide) and there is always a long wait. The concierge doesnt have the best attitude which can be a result of constantly being overwhelmed. The App they ask you to download to better your experience is buggy. A lot of awkward user interface and a lack of functionality. Given the secluded location, if you decided to go in town, your taxi driver may get lost on your ride back to the resort. But this is not an issue if you are just wanting to stay at the resort and forget about life itself. Lastly, the walls are thin unfortunately. You will hear some guest being loud and obnoxious in the middle of the night. COVID protocols: Mask are recommended but not mandatory. And I would say 80% of the guest don't wear masks b They only ask you to wear your mask when you enter a restaurant but can be removed once seated. Hand sanitizers and wipes provided essentially everywhere. Antigen and PCR testing is also available onsite. If tested positive, you will be able to quarantine in the hotel room (I believe for free but don't quote me on it) Conclusion: Will I ever return? Absolutely. And if you are considering an all inclusive resort in Cancun, I will recommend Atelier without hesitation. Great service, great food, and numerous activities and amenities for you to enjoy. From circus shows to beach cabana and nightclubs, your time at Atelier is what you make of it. Quality is stellar, enjoyed every second of my time here. I recommend staying for at least 3 to 4 nights so you have the opportunity to try every restaurant and bars. I really wanted to add an extra night to make it a 5th, but I can see the activities getting repetitive after the 6th night. read more
