For a thrift store, the pricing of everything was high, as in Plato's closet/consignment store high. All of the designer bags and nicer things were locked away and priced even higher, almost taunting me for thinking I could go to a thrift store because I wanted affordable clothing. Also, please don't bother going if you're in a wheelchair, this place is not ADA compliant and I felt like a bull in a china shop the entire time. Went to this store today. The prices are a bit on the high end. But, what really irritated me was, I was browsing the shelves and found an item on a shelf meant for a customer to purchase. I was told to put it back because an employee had claimed it. This was an item on a shelf with a price tag on it. Extremely unprofessional. I've worked retail before for several years, was never allowed to hold an item for myself while on shift. If your items are not for sale, I will go elsewhere. We stopped in during some down time on our vacation. Immediately we were greeted with friendly floor workers and the furniture selection seemed large compared to others. We were told "Every piece of furniture is negotiable because we care about sells that help our cause." We found an antique dry sink cabinet/commode and inquired about the negotiable price from $265 due to the condition, lack of original pull knobs, broken top and missing back piece. An extremely nice woman said she was cleared for $210 already, but would get the manager as he prices the items based on his knowledge of antiques. Our experience went South when he promptly let us know this particular piece was non-negotiable and our "thoughts on the condition were incorrect." We showed the different pieces of like or better quality we'd researched while patiently waiting for him, but were told "we could take our business there if we wanted to negotiate." Overall, it was the store manager that earned this rating. To be a business that plays Christian music, has overly friendly/helpful staff and a good selection...it would be in their best interest to remind the manager to be polite especially when there are numerous signs indicating that prices can be negotiated. The place is beyond over priced. $8 for USED SHEIN tops. A moldy stroller for $65. Most things are a decent brand, but it's still used things. They're a "researching" thrift: they get stuff for free and then feel like they can charge what it would sell for online. The people seem nice enough but they need a reality check on the prices. They have a menagerie of merchandise to select from. They have clothing, games, and sporting good items. The place looked and smelled clean. Most of the things there sported astronomical prices. As I drove by I saw that it was finally open so I pulled in to check it out. while sitting in the parking lot I noticed that everyone was coming out empty handed. I was greated at the door by two very sweet ladies who explained how apparently nothing in the store was priced correctly, and we had to do the math or make an offer. Would have been nice if the store just put the correct amount on the items. But anyway after observing the entire store I was shocked at how expensive EVERYTHING was even after doing their math for them. I brought this to their attention and was told that a lot of people were saying that but most items came from a boutique. Well, this is not a boutique it's a thrift store. Go to their website. Their program for addicted females is about 95-98% successful. It includes housing. It is hard to get accepted, but, it works. Some of the women look a little rough but they have the love of our Savior in their heart. And that makes all the difference. I bought a 7 piece leather living room suite for 1200$ and it had 9 large throw pillows. Beautiful and top grade. I couldn't believe it. I also got a top of the line King deep pillow top mattress and full headboard and foot board mahogany and rich dark leather for $200. Great comfortable quality. I bought about 15 outfits/tops/dresses for my wife. Including two leather fashionable jackets. They were pennies on the dollar. I purchased two large bags of beautiful clothing for an upcoming cruise for $90 while vacationing in Destin. I am a fan of thrifting and this store is one of my top five favorite stores. So grateful I went to this thrift shop. It's more than just clothing and furniture and such being bought. It's an opportunity to contribute to a greater cause ( helping women reach sobriety ). The staff were very kind. Everyone greeted me as I entered or passed them while shopping. Multiple ladies offered help or asked if I needed anything. Some of the prices are more than I'd be willing to pay at goodwill or other thrifts but Knowing that my purchases are helping change the lives of the ladies who offered to help me, is 100% worth the extra cents. read more

More like Path of Price Gouging. Low quality selection of big box store mass production "art", home goods and clothing that is priced like an exquisite antique shop. Although the store is well organized and clean, the prices are crazy! The furniture is priced so high that I wouldn't even consider "negotiating" as I would want to pay maybe a quarter of the listed price. A footed bowl for $28?? I was not able to enter the building because it was still 15 minutes until opening time but I could see the prices clearly tagged on their inventory inside and outside. Most prices seemed equal to or near the prices someone would pay for an identical item that is brand new. I ended up not finding anything on my first trip there except for a book out of their free book bin so I made a donation. They are Christian charity organization. I don't mind paying a little more if it's to support a great program! When you shop at Goodwill you're lining the pockets of the wealthy! Decent selection of furniture, clothing, decor, and home items. Things were organized by type, but the overall store layout was a little cramped and somewhat confusing. Not easy to maneuver around. Stay clear of the furniture, it is PRICEY! Used lamps and night stands can clear $100. I'd expect less from a thrifted item. We found a couple things we liked, but nothing we thought was a fair price. The home items were more fairly priced. Staff were friendly and there was good Christian music playing while we shopped. I could tell they served a good mission, but we weren't convinced on many of the prices. Don't think we'll come back here, but it wasn't bad to look around and see what they had. I will get one star for simply being open. The store is set up so people may drop off donations in the rear keyword being donation....meanwhile, upon browsing..here is what I found... a pair of used Bobs made by sketchers (in good shape) for $28.00, a small accent table $99.00, no drawer tracks and spray painted baby blue, a 3T oshkosh coat fair shape, has a few imperfection and beaded in fabric inside $18.00, a pair of champion workout leggings very worn $10, a large table and chair set $1000. And a large sign up front furniture price negotiable. I had to chuckle at this, the prices are high. These are all real items I considered purchasing until I saw their prices. Personally I was not in the mood to "haggle" the entire set up felt greedy and yet the sign out front said something like "help the neighbor" I do not know if they contribute a percentage back into the neighborhood or what but the irony of receiving donations and then placing astronomical prices on them was disturbing. But hey this store isn't the only thrift store with retail prices. If you are seeking a deal, this store wants you to haggle for it, otherwise bring the Vaseline and wear a skirt! read more

Well our first visit to this store was great. But tonight the lady puffing on the vape or e cigarette or whatever it was should be replaced. We had driven like crazy to get there before closing time at 7:00. We got there at 6:45. We were looking for a specific item that we had seen there on our last trip down about a month ago when we went in the door. It would not have taken us 5 minutes! BUT miss vape lady made a big deal about us having only 15 minutes to shop. I told her we'd driven like crazy from St. Petersburg area to get there in time. She proceeded to tell me I needed to shop like we had driven. Ummmm....NOT what you want an employee to be telling your customers. My husband didn't say anything. Being a thrift store connoisseur, when we spend a week at the beach I go thrifting once or twice while in the Destin/ Santa Rosa Beach area. I am happy to support the Path of Grace mission, to help women get out of addiction with a long term rehab approach, which re-introduces them to society & the workforce, teaching life skills in an atmosphere of love and REAL physical, emotional support . I stopped in Path of Grace last year but thought some prices, specifically on furniture were too high compared to other charitable thrift stores. HOWEVER ,items in the store for more than 30 days without selling are marked down to 50 % off, so with that in mind, I started checking dates & realized that by spending a few minutes looking I could save a bundle on clothes. People who complained that " the prices are too high, they were rude, didn't greet me or explain anything to me" are probably too self centered to shop at this type store where the focus is on the rehabilitation of human beings by selling donated merchandise. My first time there this year was the morning of August 5, 2019 & I was welcomed & greeted with a cheerful "Hello" I was offered a shopping cart & the pricing was explained by another smiling face. My second time that week at 5PM (closing at 7PM that eve) was a quick pop in to grab a pair of new Gloria Vanderbilt shorts in my size ( Full no markdown price $9) I had seen on my earlier visit. No one greeted me, as they were changing out a register with one girl instructing two others on the procedure, but when I got to the back where the shorts were , someone asked if I needed help. She smiled & said, " My shift is over at 5, so if you don't need anything I am outta here." I know how she felt.... I was alway happy to see my work clock strike the magic number of " Quitting time " too. I like this place & will tell my friends & return every time I go to the beach. I don't think I should even give them one star. When I first donated to the Path of Grace it was not bad at all. So the second time was a mess. I had to send pictures of the chairs and tables I was GIVING them and then I had to wait to see if they would take them. I get a call back about an hour later saying they can come pick it up the next day. Had I been home and not my husband they would not have had the furniture. The furniture was in excellent condition for it being off white. They charged us $50 per chair for a cleaning fee. I about died when my husband told me about this charge. I could sell the chairs and got $100 out of them then kept the money for myself. What is the use of GIVING to some charity to sell to gain money for themselves and then they charge you. I can promise I will never give anything from now on. That was just wrong. From what I see and hear about prices they should be sitting pretty high now. There are people in PCB that could use free furniture. If they wanted a donation that is one thing but to charge someone $100 for free chairs is another. read more
