The oysters, octopus and creme brûlée were also excellent. They've done a great job with landscaping the patio, enough that you don't notice the nearby traffic as much. I had an excellent dinner here with my colleagues while in town on business. The food was excellent, the service was great, and we really enjoyed the lovely outdoor seating on a November evening! I cannot rave enough about this absolute gem of a restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate a special request I had for my boyfriend's birthday. He does not like letting me pay for anything, so to ensure he wouldn't order the cheapest thing on the menu, I called ahead to curate a perfect menu- everything from drinks, charcuterie, appetizers, entrees and dessert. The dining room manager, Jenna, pulled it off for me without any hiccups. I requested to her over the phone that they didn't give us menus. I was worried this detail would be forgotten but she communicated well with hostess. We started off with a tequila and a gin cocktail, both were so good, but the "pina not colada" really was an absolutely perfect cocktail. So smooth. For our cheese board we chose the Cabot cloth bound, vat 16 world cheddar, and the stag. All amazing options if you prefer savory, and sharp cheeses. I ordered the raw oysters which were so fresh, but ended up getting free barbecue oysters for booking with the capital one reservation system. I could have had a dozen more, they were so good. We shared 3 different entrees, crab ravioli, filet mignon, and scallops. All were perfect. I can't really think of anything negative to write, other than perhaps that the 2 rounds of cocktails were a little slow to come out, but that is understandable as they are mostly more complex. We had the Mochi cake for dessert, they didn't have a ton of options, but during the weekdays you can request to be sent to the dessert room at Bern's nextdoor and that's definitely worth the experience if you haven't been. read more

This was our first time back here in a hot minute. It was also my birthday dinner and I'm sad to say it was very underwhelming. We started the night with a nat in my wine and cheese missing from our charcuterie board as well as moldy grapes on the board. This was particularly shocking. Once we overcame these missteps, the board was fine but nothing special. The real miss was the main. The fish was over cooked and in an odd sauce. The Mac n cheese sauce was under salted but worse, the sauce was broken and had an unpleasant grainy texture. Needless to say we did not take our left overs home. Haven is my favorite restaurant in Tampa. I have always had great food and service here. Haven Happy Hour is a must try for everyone, get there early so you can get a seat because it fills up quick! The menu is full of so many delicious entrees and it's constantly rotating with new dishes. My favorite is their brussel sprout salad. It is SOOOOO good, I always get it when I am here. We also love their octopus it's so yummy and flavorful. We tried their A5 Wagyu beef tacos as an appetizer and it was melt in your mouth delicious. I loved the use of lettuce for the taco. It's super sexy, and I can see people on dates getting a bit closer together while there. We ordered the two different types of oysters. I have eaten oysters at different restaurants and even at a Renaissance festival. These oysters were super tiny, and it felt as though they had cut up one oyster and put it in the three shells that you get for the hefty price. Good flavor but better to eat them at a different restaurants that serves normal-sized oysters. We got the halibut and scallop entrees and they were delicious. Every bite was better than the last, and we enjoyed the dishes. However, the portions were tiny. It was shocking how small the portions were for the price. If the portions were going to be small, they should recommend side dishes to complement the dishes because we were still hungry after we left. The service was wonderful, and our waitress was very nice and on top of things. Overall, we thought it was good but not sure we will return again because paying over $300 for four people, and then having to go to another restaurant to eat is a bit much. read more

Simple salad was fine, but it didn't say that it had spinach and unfortunately my husband got pain from eating it. He cannot eat spinach, he is not allergic but cannot tolerate it. We specifically ordered this one to avoid spinach but after he ate it he thought that flowers were giving him an issue, but I actually found spinach inside and it all made sense. Crispy creamer potatoes were great, very unique, I believe had some nuts in it. Absolutely enjoyed those. We also had some melted cheese (forgot the name), seemed like Brie but wasn't Brie cheese, it had nice mushroom with it, super delicious. Snapper for the main, comes with very spicy sauce. We were warned, so they put it on the side, but honestly I believe it should have been mixed it. It was spicy but not super spicy. So I think we could have handled it. As someone well-traveled (67+ countries) with experiences with some of the most unusual food products you can imagine and having dined with many Michelin-star chefs - I can truly say Haven is a 5-star experience. First - the Waiter. Daniel is AMAZING. I mean, truly amazing. He started by explaining the menu and how it's a shareable tapas style. He was VERY confident in providing us with food that would create an experience with your palette. It was because of that confidence that I presented him with a challenge. I told him to take us through the best of the best of what Haven has to offer and curate the entire meal himself. He grabbed our menus immediately and said, "That was all you had to say." He started our journey with the Chef's Charcuterie board, where he took us on a delightful tour of some of the finest cheeses and meat from around the globe, handpicking 3 kinds of cheese and 3 types of meat from a selection of 6 different types of meat and 30+ different kinds of cheese. The board also had spicy mustard, honey, regular mustard, baby gherkins, pickled okra, and some amazing macadamia nuts. Next, he delivered 3 main dishes. Rabbit Kidneys served with cognac, dijon, brioche, and parsley. I have had some amazing exotic meats over the years, but haven't truly delved into the culinary experience of the animal's insides. The world is filled with many ubiquitous dishes; however, the rabbit kidneys had the privilege of savoring stood out as a true delight. Made reservations Friday afternoon for dinner/tapas that evening and I'm so happy I did! Our server was great although I do not recall his name he was very attentive to us checked if we needed more drinks or needed anything the entire night! We ordered the chefs charcuterie board which came with a daily selection of 3 different cheeses and 3 different meats and let me tell you this chefs board did not disappoint! By far one of the best I've ever had! Loved all the tasty accompaniments that came with the board as well. I opted for the board as my meal so I was very pleased with my selection! We also had the chicken liver mousse and raw oysters which were equally as tasty! For desert we had the Macadamia Crème Brûlée which was absolutely mouth watering!
