There were a variety of candle shapes to choose from at different price points. He opted for the boat, which was about $8. You first pay for your candle, then an employee attaches a string and hook so you can start dipping. There were several colors to choose from. After selecting his colors, my son was patient between each dip as you have to wait 15 seconds to dry. You do have to be careful not to drop your candle into the colored wax because otherwise you're done for and candle is gone. He had a great experience and really enjoyed seeing his candle come together after each dip. The shop itself is pretty small so it can feel crowded very quickly, but the candle dipping experience was fun.

I'm so glad he brought me here, but I sure wish I had taken more photos because the inside is so beautiful and peaceful. Being a house plant lover, I had to check it out. The pots and plant holders all looked so high quality and presented beautifully, with a modern styling. I love the wooden stands! The owner, Jenn, came out and chatted with me and helped me out with a purchase. She told me that the pots are made from spun aluminum which is a unique but sturdy material for pots; they look clean and the shape emulates ceramic vessels. I also love that there is a drainage hole so you can put the plant directly inside the vessel! I got a large snow pot ($14) and a philodendron to go inside it ($12). My total order ended up being $28 after tax, which is a great price. They have a lot of lovely options for planters, so I highly recommend coming here if you or someone you know is a plant lover. My mini monstera and swiss cheese plants were the first two plants I ordered from IvyMay. Happy would be an understatement with my first time experience with IvyMay. I was blown away! Communication with delivery was timely and easy. I love the free local delivery service. I was hooked and recently bought more plants on two separate occasions. The prices are relatively comparable to a store like Pigment and much lower than some of the boutique plant shops in the North Park area, but the quality has always been top notch. One look at the soil and all the new growth on every plant from IvyMay and you'll know what I mean (if you're a plant lover). Best part about IvyMay is the TLC with the plant from before it's delivered to the time it gets to your door.
