I left a voicemail on their business line, and a person named Jonathan called back, stating that they will not perform significant repairs, citing safety hazards for my children and the poor quality of the job. There are construction errors on two of the main systems, with gaps between both the back and main entrance new systems, causing heavy flooding and fall hazards due to mildew buildup. More importantly, I have images and videos showing the load-bearing beam rotting from water being trapped between the existing roof and the new shading system. Additionally, the installation was poorly executed and of low quality. We waited six months for the installation, with materials stored in our yard the entire time. The company that delivered the materials picked coconuts and left their mess for me to clean up. To make matters worse, the third-party installers were unprofessional, cussing at each other during their shift, smoking marijuana on the property, and cameras caught them entering our home while no one was present. The installers also left extra materials in our yard after completing the job. Although we have a warranty for their work until 2030, the company is now refusing to fix the issues. These guy's need to be exposed. If anyone has a similar issue with this horrific company please reach out to kipperz808@yahoo.com. As you can see in all of Jonathans replies to other reviews he tries to justify his pilau companies flaws. So sad how he goes around telling lies. When its clear in the pictures that they do horrible work. Action line will be contacted next. Good luck Jonathan on your future endeavors. Lol

They were professional and courteous, and cleaned up after each day's work. Jonathan was fair with his pricing, and I feel we got good value while improving our home. We would highly recommend Ohana for your lanai shade awnings. Professional, Reliable, Responsive, and Excellent Customer Service.

After meeting with a few other contractors which provided quotes way above our budget, we finally met with Alex, which was through a recommendation. We couldn't be any happier with the opportunity to have worked with Versatile Construction. From the very beginning, while we had an idea of what we wanted, Alex helped us come to a good design/size requirement, providing suggestions and options along the way. Alex worked with his architect to complete multiple iterations of the drawings (making sure we were happy with what would be built), and also obtained the necessary permits for us. We were also able to use our own mason just for the concrete/foundation portion and there was absolutely no complications with bringing in this third party into the mix; Alex worked very well with him, making sure they were both on the same page and that all was in order for the build. As for the build, we are really satisfied with the results of the entire project, and especially with the way Alex coordinates/communicates and how he works along side his team. He was very upfront with scheduling himself and his team along with the other projects they were managing, but they were always there when they scheduled themselves to work on our house. We are pleased with the quality of work that was done. We feel very fortunate to have found a contractor that we can trust, with a team that takes pride in the what they do. We will definitely be calling these guys again for any project the future and would highly recommend Versatile Construction.

Very professional, adaptive to my needs, and fantastic after-sales service!…read more I wanted to redo our entire driveway and the sidewalks surrounding my house, and I called around asking for quotes. Most of the places that I called required a $100 non-refundable deposit for them to just come out and give an estimate. However, Elite Masons does not charge anything to come out and give an estimate, same day! Sione (the owner) came over and we talked about what we wanted done, what types of different concrete material are available for each area, and then we were quoted a very reasonable price. The full amount was broken down into 4 separate payments that I paid after they did a certain amount of work. Sione also explained their process and also that they include a 1 year warranty for anything that happens to the concrete, such as cracks. Later, I asked Sione if he could also help me remove a large patch trees and haul away a bunch construction trash, and he was more than willing to help me out. The old asphalt driveway also had to be demolished. They had everything removed in 3 days and WOW my house ready started to look much more brighter and appealing. When it came time to do the concrete pour, Sione explained every step of the process again and told me what was going to be done. They laid the wire mesh and started pouring and forming the concrete. Since I had a large area to pour, it took them 3 days for pouring everything. The end result is a night and day difference to what my home used to look like! Amazing! After sales service from Elite Masons has been superior. I've had them return a few times to do minor repairs and adjustments, and they've always come out within a few days. Furthermore, my neighbor was complaining about heavy rainwater running off into his property (which is not really our fault or Elite Masons) but they came the next day and helped me dig a trench so that my neighbor has nothing to complain about. They really take great care of their customers, and want you to be happy with the work. I would recommend them over and over again to anyone looking to have their driveway redone.

ABSOLUTE WORST- DO NOT HIRE !! Do not believe the 5 star ratings- read the 1 stars & they all say…read morethe same truth. Elite Masons completely botched our huge driveway replacement & retaining wall. Unprofessional in every way: did not do code requirements for our driveway-no base rock, no rebar, no wire mesh was used for very large sloping driveway (started failing 1 month after it was laid), used untrained workers & no mason. They completely ruined the retaining wall using left over giant chunks from the previous driveway "so they could save themselves on cement costs- as Sione put it"- barley slapped on cement over the big chunks, didn't even smooth it out, and left it rough & incomplete. They improperly poured the whole huge driveway in less than an hour, which is crazy, and Sione used it as a "teaching excercise". Then they used many different kinds/batches of cement mixed in buckets to fix all the swooping, wavy, & uneven problems-making it look like horrible patchwork all over, and they splattered cement all over the house walls & on our brand new front windows (didnt even clean up) that I am still trying to remove. Unsupervised workers were just dropped off each day with no idea what to do that day and they literally broke or wrecked something every single day (we documented it). Within 2 weeks there were small cracks all over, in less than a month giant full length fissure cracks appeared throughout the driveway, it is breaking into pieces, and caving in some areas. Also workers were left late each night at our house & Sione would guilt us and request us to make cash payments directly to his workers left there. Towards the end we had no money left to withhold to get them to come back to make the repairs, and they left cement, cement chunks, cigarette butts, bottles and cans all over our entire front lawn. Sione & Elite Masons have not responded to messages or calls requesting to fix the problems. So we have been left out of money and with a huge failing driveway. These are just a few of the problems- there were so many many more! Do not hire- you will regret it.

Speaking with Parris and getting the initial quote was a quick and easy process. Parris and his guys completed the paperwork we needed for HOA approval without issue, and installation happened quickly after our HOA gave us the go ahead. The installation itself was also completed quickly (2-3 days of work if I recall) and the best part other than the quality of the fence was that the way they install the fence posts leaves your yard looking exactly as it was before--no giant holes or dirt piles left behind. A few months ago, we needed a repair due to our landscapers accidentally shooting a rock through a fence panel. Parris was quick to respond and had his guys out there the next day to complete the repair at a reasonable price. They even noticed our gate wasn't shutting properly and made some adjustments on the spot at no additional cost without us asking. Most recently, we installed some pavers that went under our gate and needed some adjustments to be made to the height of the gate so the gate could close over the pavers. Again, Parris and his team were out quickly to make the changes we needed to our gate, and we couldn't be happier! Yes, you can find other companies to install vinyl fencing for less money. That being said, my husband and I would make the same decision over and over again to go with Vinyl Tech & Masonry because of their professionalism and the quality of their work. They clearly stand by their work and want to make sure their customers are happy. In my opinion when you're spending thousands of dollars on a fence install, it's well worth it to invest in a company that clearly cares about their customer's satisfaction.

One bathroom had 18 scratches and the other had 14. The scratches are between 3-5 inches in length and are very noticeable on the polished surface. First they tried to say it wasn't noticeable then they said it was part of the design. They will not replace it or refund me enough so I can hire another contractor to replace it. The work supervisor jun sent me pictures of another customers shower walls that had the same scratched tiles with red arrows pointing out the scratches and said it was "not noticeable unless you looked at it at an angle." This means they are installing defective/ damaged material in other customers homes too. I saved many years to afford this remodel and I am devastated by their poor work and materials. They also did a bad job of grout on the shower floors and bathroom floors and when I asked why pipes they installed for my tub to walk in shower conversion were off center they said they always do it that way. If they had told me they planned to install the pipes off center before they did it I would have hired a different company. Communication is very poor with this company. None of the workers on site speak English and their "supervisor" is rarely there so the workers are left on their own and they have poor judgement and little common sense. The owner Q never answers e mails or text messages when you have concerns and the supervisor Jun tries to charge you extra to fix problems they caused that should have just been done right the first time. They were supposed to install shower doors I bought from Home Depot but on their first attempt the doors were askew and not aligning parallel to the shower walls and they only glued the door jams on instead of following the instruction manual and using the provided wall anchors and screws that came with the kit. Then they threw away the box. I sent them a video from Home Depot showing them how to do it. The supervisor Jun assured me that he and the workers had watched the video and would do it correctly with screws the next day. The next day I called Jun and he said he was there when they put the screws in. I told him that the door jams peeled off the walls because once again they only used glue and no screws. I had to hire a different contractor to put in the doors even though in our signed contract Maika'i was supposed to provide the labor to install the doors and I paid them to do it. The owner Q said that it wasn't necessary to follow the instruction manual for installing the doors because his office worker who used to work at Home Depot said it wasn't necessary. I would guess that this worker has never installed a Delta Contemporary sliding shower door in their life. They put so much grout on the shower floor it obscured the floor tiles and you couldn't pry out the shower drain if you had a clog that needed to be snaked. Then they chipped the tile when the chiseled off the excess grout off the drain cap. Other red flags to watch out for: they want most of the money upfront or halfway through with only 5% due at completion of work. This gives them little incentive to finish in a timely manner or do a good job the way a 50% at completion would. They wanted me to buy flooring from their store for them to install but it only had a 10 year warranty. I told them my brother's flooring from Bougainville had a lifetime warranty for residential use and Jun said they could make theirs a lifetime warranty because they worked closely with the manufacturer in China. I needed popcorn ceiling that had asbestos in it removed. Although the contract I signed with them said if the ceiling had asbestos it would have to be professionally abated, Jun told me they could remove it even though it had asbestos and "we do it all the time." I told him his workers didn't have protection from breathing it in and I didn't want them getting mesothelioma. I also didn't want me or my family to get mesothelioma from their contaminating the whole house and the abatement company said it is illegal to be dumping that stuff in regular trash. I could go on but this is getting pretty long. My advice to you would be to know they are not accredited with the Better Business Bureau but you can still file a complaint against them with the BBB and the BBB will work to mediate for you, you can file a complaint with the Hawaii state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, but most importantly do not hire this company! Save yourself the stress and sleepless nights. They are cheaper than most other companies but there is a reason for that. Sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes you get even less than you paid for...

While building, they didn't even use the slab design I chose because it was out of stock; since I am easygoing, I wasn't going to start an ordeal over it.
