I called for a double carport quote and spoke to a Monika as I recalled. And she was so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions frankly and politely thoroughly and even invited me to come to their warehouse and see their products in person. No pressure to buy at all. My only regret is that I did not go with this company and instead I went with their competitor, 'Ohana' BIG MISTAKE as that particular company missed up their own installation of their product and was a headache to deal with. We needed to just cover a small part of our carport but after seeing the quality of Carports Hawaii's material, we decided to take the leap and cover our 28'X12' deck. Turns out to be an excellent decision. We live on the foot of the Koolaus, where the wind and daily rain hits us constantly. The Carports Hawaii product is durable and absolutely beautiful. It's been about a month since they've installed it and we're making more use out of deck than we have ever before. The deck used to be too hot to walk on but now we can walk around comfortably, barefooted. We have a bunch of plants on the deck and they're thriving. Please reach out to him if you were considering someone else. Of all the quotes we received, Carports Hawaii had the best price so we scheduled an appointment to check out Mario's shop in Hawaii Kai. We got to see the actual materials that would be installed prior to putting down a single cent and he took the time to answer all of our questions and walk us through the process. We were able to customize the colors that we wanted for both the poles that supported the structure and the color of tint on the overhead paneling. We were debating getting a custom size as well, but what he had in stock was just a few square feet smaller than what we wanted so we decided not to wait for a custom piece. Mario then scheduled with us to check out our house (just two days later) and drove over to plot out the project which only took a few minutes. We have substantially uneven roofs (one part about 18" higher than the other) which I thought would complicate things but he assured us it could be done and showed us some pictures of what prior clients had done with similar roofing (we actually haven't had to make any modifications). Just a few days later Mario came again to drop off most of the supplies (posts, panels) at which time we put down a deposit of half the total payment. He let us know the time frame of guaranteed installation but also told us if existing projects finished ahead of time, that he might be able to squeeze us in as long as we were able to confirm we'd be home to allow access to the deck. He absolutely delivered. He was able to fit us in and after 2 1/2 days of work by his team, we had a new deck covering. Although I assume this is highly atypical, only 3 weeks had passed from the time we had first contacted him until we were enjoying our now-covered patio. Mario called us each day after his workers finished to make sure that everything was done professionally and that we were satisfied. He was out of country at the time but came over to inspect the work after he got back. Overall, I don't see how he could've made it any easier for us and I can't think of a single thing I'd want that he didn't provide. read more

I needed a patio cover. I met with Mario and after our meeting at his shop he came out to my place to check it out. I gave him a deposit and 5 days later he delivered the material to the house. 1 week later his guys showed up and finished the job in 3 days.
