I've been involved in real estate purchases for some 45 plus years. My son and daughter in law whom reside in Japan full time wanted to sell their place in Waikiki and purchase another larger unit in Waikiki or the Kaka'ako district. So here's how today went. I found a property in Aiea that seemed to fit my families needs. First off, I called the agent listed Michelle Johnson (won't list her number because I'm not cruel and further more she won't help anyway) She answered her phone. I asked her about the property and gave her the address on Kaonohi st. She rudely told us she had no idea what property we were talking about. I ended up telling her there was an open house today from 2 PM to 5 PM which of course normally that is the time. She then rudely told us that she is not the agent for the listing which didn't make sense because on hawaiiliving.com said she was the person to contact. After being argumentative, she then says that she can answer general questions but that if it says there is an open house today... then there is an open house today. Well DUH that's what I told her! She also said that if I have an agent I should be talking to them instead. I ended up hanging up on her being so frustrated with how she was talking to us. She had the audacity to text us back to say that she was trying to help us as best as she could and that we shouldn't hang up on her. Needless to say she should've at least called us back instead of just texting us and apologizing while providing the information that was needed/wanted. We are so lucky to have found Michelle Brown,the best realtor ever! Our experience with Michelle started before we even arrived in Oahu. She spent time on the phone with my mother and me, who were hoping to move to Hawaii for our retirement. Having not been to Hawaii in decades Michelle took the time to let us know about all the different neighborhoods on Hawaii.
