They also brought stuff to our house, to the dump, and to donate!!! They worked all day and helped us organize things in the new storage unit so that we can easily find things. They also were very patient with us us as we figured stuff out. The cost was pretty decent compared to what other companies charge. Considering it was 3 guys, a full truck, and a pretty big and long job as well as the fact that they never complained and were friendly the whole time I think that it was definitely worth what we paid. Call or email them to get a quote and they stick to it. There was even a point where we couldn't find our comic collection after we were pretty much done for the day but they went back to our storage unit with me to help me look for it and make sure we didn't lose it. You won't regret giving them a chance to help you move!

I forget the movers names but they were both prompt, handled my items delicately with care, didn't take their sweet time they worked very very hard, disassembled and reassembled a near 50 year old antique silik hutch that I have inherited , they moved everything exactly where it needed to be in my new place, were very polite and respectful and did not damage anything or steal at all. I've dealt with another moving company in the past where I suspected some jewelry went missing. They are the quickest at responses, very reasonable pricing, flexible with their schedules, all in all I am very satisfied and have asked them to move another thing for me as well. 10/10 recommend. If you use them, make sure you protect your own furniture by wrapping it well. This is the mistake I made. Also our tv was damaged, no cracked screen, we just have a vertical line during certain images on the left edge of the screen now. It was an expensive oled, we spent over 4k for it. They didn't use the box I purchased and assured me would be better out of the box. My fault for not insisting on using the box. Our tv stand suffered minor dings, like paint chips, I was able to cover it up with some touch up paint so no big deal. I would recommend them if you protect your own items well.

When called at noon to make sure they'd be there, no answer. After numerous phone calls between the agent, moving company rep (the ONLY ONE at Ewa Moving who was helpful & went above & beyond) and even the owner of Ewa Moving, items were finally picked up at 3:45p. They loaded up half because their "largest" truck couldn't do the complete move knowing full well it was 2 completely filled storage units. They finally got to my new home at 6:20p. They were supposed to set things up with what they had. Instead they left it in the garage. When I informed the owner his response was "Ok whatever we didn't finish, XXXXXXX will complete" Wow - lack of professionalism. He made it seem like it was my fault. As a customer I shouldn't have to be making endless phone calls & chasing down movers. This was a contracted move through a moving company. Even they were surprised at the attitude. I cannot ever recommend a company that treats their customers this way. Martin (the owner) says they do a lot of military moves. I'd think twice if they treat locals this way. *The rating would be a No Star but that's not an option.

I had a go-to mover but they didn't reply when I reached out so I figured I would try someone new out bc, maybe I can have options. Incredibly, Making Moves packed everything much more thoroughly and somehow the move seemed shorter...?! Even accounting for the shorter distance, this move was seriously fast but not lacking one bit in caution. And here is the kicker, it was less expensive too and the team was bigger. I still love the other mover but this team has beyond proved itself so I guess this is my first choice mover now. Treat this team right. They are in demand for a reason.

Before the moves, Alfredo came over to assess how much stuff we had and then gave us a quote that was competitive and reflected the actual cost of the move. He had 4 guys do the move -- it's much cheaper to have more guys because they do the move faster and you spend less money. They guys were all very respectful and sweet. Both moves happened fast and efficiently and all our items were moved with great care. Nothing was broken or scratched and the guys remove their shoes before coming in the house. I will absolutely be using Alfredo and his team for all my future moving needs.

11/24 update We decided to go with JNR after all after…read moreEugene explained the mix up. He was very accommodating & easy to work with. Made a huge difference in our decision making. The local CA company they used (I believe it was Pioneer) was amazing. They missed 2 tiny drawers but I was able to pack it in my suitcase. I'd highly recommend the CA moving company. Once our household items arrived in HI (it took just under 6 weeks from the time they finished in CA & it was moved into storage in HI) we were contacted to see if we wanted to watch our items being stored. We agreed. Chris was there to meet us (very nice & helpful. Walked us through it) & it seemed to go smoothly. He left half way & the unloaders slowed down. 1 quick phone call & it was back on track. We are pleased with the storage facilities. Secure & temperature controlled. The only hiccup worth mentioning is the 1 of the unloaders was on his phone 98% of the time. Even while pushing the carts he had his phone up to his face. He was young lol. We did have to mention that some of the boxes that said "this side up" meant they needed to store it a certain way. Overall I'd recommend working with Eugene & Chris.

They helped with packing some of the last minute items and wrapped everything to protect them from damage. Even my neighbors were impressed with how efficient and the amount of care they took with my items. The office called me the day before to confirm the arrival window and they were there right on time! Hopefully I don't have to move again, but if I do, they will be my first choice!

They recommended a 3-man crew, and while I knew the 2-hour base rate was optimistic, I didn't expect the experience to go downhill so fast. The Pros: * They were flexible with timing. * They quickly disassembled and assembled my desk. * They were willing to work past their standard service hours, staying until 9:30 PM to finish the job. The Cons: * Extreme Disrespect: Despite specifically hiring and paying for packing services, we overheard the crew complaining about having to pack. Even worse, they were caught calling me "incompetent" and saying I didn't know what I was doing while I was in my own home. We addressed it on the spot, but the atmosphere was incredibly hostile and soured the entire day. * Poor Workmanship: We had already pre-packed many of our own boxes, but the items they handled were treated with zero care. * Major Damages: The total cost of the move was $1,195 for 5+ hours of work. However, the day after the move, I discovered over $2,000 worth of items, some irreplaceable, were damaged due to their poor packing. While I appreciate that they stayed late until 9:30 PM to get the furniture moved, the verbal abuse and the destruction of my property made the "cheap" rate a total illusion. Bottom Line: My lesson was learned--don't go cheap. Between the insults and the $2k+ in damages, this was a bad experience. Do not use for FULL SERVICE.

I have traveled a lot for work/pleasure and know how to navigate rental car agencies pretty well. Every once in a while they get one over me, especially recent with the electric vehicle push. I also almost always avoid off airport rentals as a rule. Given the price and the glowing reviews I thought I would give Lucky Owl a shot. I'm very glad I did. The pickup process was super easy, just walked across the street from the southwest baggage claim where the pickup spot #4 was designated. Made the call and they were there rather quick. At the counter there was no sales push or tactics, they just verified my ID and CC then handed me the keys. Their rules were clearly laid out next to the window. They took photos of the cars condition and encouraged me to do the same. I also received the exact car stated on my reservation. No issues with the car for the 2 weeks we were there. Someone mentioned you blend in with their cars as a local, I don't know how but it did feel that way, hahaha. I especially liked the rubber floor mats which made cleaning easy. My one recommendation would be a trunk/hatch rubber mat. I know they are much harder to come by, but it would help with sandy beach gear. Speaking of, they even offer to rent beach gear! My airbnb came with some, but its great to know for next time. Drop off was just as easy as pickup. Their rental terms mention excess sand has a fee and there is a Texaco close to their location with vacuums. I wasn't sure if we had reached the "excess" level but why not treat the car with respect and clean up after yourself since Lucky Owl treated us well. When I got back they took a couple photos of the condition just like the pickup and had the shuttle ready to take me to the airport. No question I will be renting from here again next time in Oahu! They also have some friendly cats to greet you.

We had a mishap with the key fob not working while we were at the beach on the east side of the…read moreisland. When we realized it wasn't working, we immediately opened up the fob and found old looking corrosion inside around the battery area. We put a new battery in it and left it open to dry out (if moisture had gotten in it). After troubleshooting to no avail, I called the company and they sent someone out charging a $75 "roadside assistance fee" where a representative brought out a spare key fob. Unfortunately, the replacement fob did not start the car (or even unlock/lock the car). The representative was friendly, but not knowledgeable on other troubleshooting steps to get us back on the road. With the replacement fob taken apart (to swap/replace the battery) the original fob eventually started the car. We even tested it further by turning off and on the car a few times to make sure the old fob was working again. We then drove the vehicle to our next destination, and when we went to leave the car wouldn't start again... we made the most of it and had dinner while further drying out the original fob to see if that would help. In the meantime the company sent a replacement vehicle (at no additional charge). When the rep went to start the original car, it stated right away. The following day, I received a voicemail to go over the additional replacement fob and roadside assistance charges. The voicemail said to reference the email and/or call back for questions. I never received the email after 10 minutes of checking, and then I got a large credit card notification; $350 for the damaged key and $75 for the roadside assistance. I didn't appreciate being charged without being talked to first. When I immediately called back to politely ask some clarifying questions, the person on the phone was very rude and raised his voice to me and my wife. Given that the original fob appeared to have prior water damage and the fact that it did start the car (after drying out, replacing the battery) it was disappointing to be charged $425 for something that may, or may not, have been our fault. And to then be yelled at for asking questions. At the end of the day, the whole ordeal cost us valuable vacation time, added stress, and drastically altered our plans. The car rental itself was affordable but the first car we ended up with was older and a little dingy.

I've recently became a customer here at the storage facility and it just frustrates me that some of the tenants here feel entitled to do what ever they please and when I ask how they are able to use this or do that, they all revert to saying oh because I know so and so and Kristi gave us these privileges. I find it odd that I run a functioning business and feel that I pay my fair share so why is it that there is outside portable toilets with NO wash area very unsanitary, there is a water spigot near the office but its locked up. But yet there are tenants here that wash off Jet Skis and waste water almost all day long but no repercussion to him, and if you ask to fill up a jug he will disconnect the water and ignore you like you don't exist. Then you cant even access your units most times because the "big unit" tenants are congesting all the access area. something needs to be done and all the favoritism needs to stop. we are all paying customers so why "spoil" only certain ones don't we all pay money utilize our access from 5am to midnight 7 days a week. Why cant we utilize the water like the ones that waste it. What takes the cake is on Fridays and Saturdays they restrict access because of the swap meet that they have going on, not a proper way to conduct business Hawaii Self Storage you should re-think your special privileged customers what goes for 1 should go for all. I forgot to add, that when we conducted our business at the other Hawaii Self Storage Location next to kmart the same manager also showed favoritism to the tax preparers that operated from those units along side the half way house retreat people, so really do think twice before wanting to operate from any Hawaii Self Storage if you don't know anyone or are not "in" with the veterans its not going to happen. read more

The Janitor Benny seen making advances towards all of the woman there all the time. On the other hand he is rude and obnoxious, and has yelled at me with a disrespectful tone of voice. And he complains too much and about everything and anything. At the same time his friends does the same thing and he sides with them prejudicely. He always opens and closes the door for he friends. And acts real nice to them. On the other hand he yelled at me and falsey accuse me of letting his friends in the door without her putting her code in. He is the one whom does that all the time and even hold the door for them and prop up the door with his orange cone for her. On a daily basis he rude and disrespectful towards me and prejudice against for none of any of my doing. And his friend in the white pick up truck tried to bang me 4 times. And his friend harassed me and bullied me 5 times and gets away with it because he's friends to them. Per the other employee at Mililani site the operation here is non conforming and does whatever they like. He also parks his car in front his friends locker and stays there all night long guarding just her locker after she closes down her aerobics gym. He opens and closes her locker door for her everynight. Inaddition he opens and closes the roll up door for the haulie lady everytime and talks nice to her but not nice to me. Not only that he locks the side doort on me forcing me to walk all the way around the back corner of the building the long way to to get to my locker each time each item i have to go get something or bring in something in. And in addition his friend in the pick up truck cuts around at the entrance gate squeezing inbetween my car and the roll away entry gate and cuts in front of my car driving around me. read more

first i had Extra Space Storage unit it was an 8x8. Within the past year they raised my rate every 3 months by 35$ each time with no explanation. ive jus canceled my lease with them i couldn't stand all the rental increase, plus there access hours was not reasonable. so ive decided to make my way to Hawaii Self Storage, because i like there access hours plus its closer to my home with out going into kapolei shopping center traffic. when we got to the storage behind campbell we figured wed ask about pricing and availability since we were in the area. it was a Stressful day from the get go, plus my Grand-Daughter was under the weather, i had to bring her along with me. As soon as i entered the office i was welcomed with such great Spirits, the 2 lovely ladies in the office were so helpful and inviting. they quickly helped me with my needs in giving me prices and different sizes available at there site. they took me on a tour showing me all the sizes that would fit all my stuff. they were very informative. they also saw that my Grand-daughter was feeling under the weather and offered her some water and to rest on the couch as we finished our paper work. all in all they went over there rental agreement and explained everything about there polices and made sure you completely understand there rules. i do recommend this facility for anyone and everyone, Added bonus they have a open market every Friday and Saturday. Hawaii Self Storage down in Campbell is amazing. The staff is friendly here, kind and understanding because instead of making me pay a whole new month they simply pro-rated it the week instead before I moved my stuff out to my new home. But the facility was clean, safe and super convenient. I like the Campbell site of them all because of this. I have used this site many many times over the years and it has never failed. They are awesome here and always so courteous and professional but always ALOHA. I cannot express my endless gratitude and appreciation for them. Mel helped get us a great price on a unit that my family really needed. With Christmas here, I needed to make sure that the price fit in my budget and she did everything she could to make it happen for us. Great staff. Understanding and easy to work with. I've had a storage here as well as stores a vehicle and they've been nothing but accommodating and understanding. By phone, it's a little difficult to communicate with them so definitely walk into the office whenever you need to speak with them or notify them of any changes. read more

The facility was easy to access and has a secure gate entering and exiting the building. This review is all about COOKIE!…read more She has been so wonderful to us and is the ONLY reason we didn't leave StorQuest when they pulled their typical start you off low and raise your rates fast! Cookie is friendly, considerate, and consistent. She's true to her word and she's gone above and beyond for us. As an example when we finally bought a house and moved our stuff recently out she actually helped me clean up, fold up boxes, and throw rubbish out. I tried to say no but she said she enjoyed helping. I hope StorQuest knows what a valuable person they have there and they better appreciate her! Again she's the only thing that kept us there for a whole extra year. We would've gladly moved our stuff to a different place when they jacked the prices up, but she made it worth it.

He graduated from Lincoln Intermediate, Roosevelt High School, and the University of Hawaii, then moved away because he received a Fulbright Scholarship. He wasn't able to take all of his treasures with him, so he found StorQuest Self-Storage for about $58 a month. He was really happy with it because it was air-conditioned, clean, and in a relatively safe neighborhood. The best part was the convenient method of payment - it gets deducted from his bank account automatically! To enter the building, the customer must know the access code for the building and have the key for the particular unit! There's free parking, too! Note: The building across the street doesn't have air-conditioning, but it's the same price.
