I originally came in to see Anuhea, but it turned out I had the wrong day. A different girl was there, sitting down. I sat in the chair and she immediately started without really checking in. Mind you, my eyebrows are naturally very thick. As she was working, I kept thinking something felt off because it was way more sensitive than usual. When she finally showed me the result, my eyebrows were extremely thin. I was completely shocked and disappointed because I've never had my brows this thin, and I'm about to go on a trip. When I got up to pay, she asked if it was cash or card, and while I was in the middle of paying, she walked out. The vibes were off from the very beginning. I asked her how long she'd been doing brows and she said only about a year. I won't be coming back. I feel insecure and sad that I now have to grow my brows out for another six months. I had an appointment scheduled for 6:15 pm at Windward Mall today and arrived about 5 minutes early. When I came in, the worker was finishing up with another client. After that appointment ended, another client was seated before me. I wasn't asked if I had an appointment or told that things might be running behind. I didn't want to interrupt because the worker was talking story with the clients and they seemed close. I didn't want to make things awkward and I'm also shy. After 20 minutes I left. About 25 minutes later I received a call which was probably them, but it seemed like it was hung up or disconnected before I could pick up, and I was already on my way out of the parking lot. Just sharing my experience in case it's helpful for the business to improve communication around appointments. read more

First time going there today for an eyebrow thread - I have to unfortunately say I am so incredibly disappointed. These are the worst brows I have ever had done by someone. The girl asked me before starting if I just wanted a clean up... my eyebrows were pretty grown out. I have waited a long time to have them grown out. I said yes to just a clean up. The girl completely changed the shape of my brows (they are almost looking like a triangle on my face), they are l pencil tip thin, and crooked. I'm appalled. And extremely disappointed. Not to mention, she really wasn't friendly at all. Will most definitely not be coming back here, but more so, now needing to wait until these horrendous brows can actually grow back to somewhat normal shape again. read more

What ever girl was working after 3pm this Friday was TERRIBLE. First off, idk if it was her boyfriend in there but he was just hanging out in the shop with her while she was on her shift and it was weird having him just sit there. Second, she was so rude! Right when I sat down she said "lift up your chin" no please or anything. She then proceeded to move my entire arm when I was holding my brow with out saying anything which caught me off guard. I've had the thread break before when getting threaded but the specialist will ALWAYS apologize and fix it. She broke the thread THREE times and didn't say anything. I've also never had threading hurt before EVER. Today was my first time being in pain because she was doing it so hard. Also instead of asking me to switch arms politely when lifting my brow, she just hit my hand twice to let me know to let go. No please, no thank you, so rude and absolutely no customer service. All while her bf or friend was just sitting there. This has always been my favorite threading place and the girls are always so awesome. But who ever was working the afternoon shift today was so rude and I will never get my eyebrows done by her again. read more

Got my brows done here, $21 dollars without tip. I am all for paying that price but I did have to do some additional plucking when I got home which is what I try to avoid. The shape was great, and whoever was doing my brows was extremely communicative - she asked before taking off hair bc she knew I wanted to keep them a bit thicker. Very much appreciated! I go to threading though to get cleaned up with all the baby hairs around my brows that are too tedious to pluck, so it's something that's important to me in deciding quality of service. Will likely go back bc it's the only threading in Kaneohe but hope next time they take off surrounding baby hairs as well. read more

Ive come here a handful of times making appointments over the phone and through their website. I usually come after work around 4 PM and there are always people waiting. I usually wait less than 10 to be seated in a chair with an appointment. Walk ins are welcome. Three stars for everyone else but Kyla -- who my friends always see and her work is great. Ive had some of the other girls and noticed that they never really ask you what you want, they just start threading as soon as you sit down. Work is also sloppy. Ive found myself cleaning up after my appointments with a pair of tweezers. Price is 21.00 right now to thread just your eyebrows. Cash and card accepted. Did a walk in on a Friday afternoon and when I got there it was just me. Haven't done threading in a while due to a bad experience else where. Got seated right away and the person who did my eyebrows was fast and little to no pain. When she was done she asked if I also wanted to do my lip, why not since I was already there. Lip was a little more sensitive but overall a great experience. She also applied some aloe which I appreciated because I do have sensitive skin. The place was very neat and organized. Hi everyone! I'm finally getting around to writing my review. When we first arrived on the island and I started coming to Hawaii Threading, I would get my eyebrows done by Jada. She was absolutely the BEST ! Unfortunately, she no longer works here and has since moved on to better things for her self. Since Jada, I was very hesitant on getting my eyebrows done by anybody else but my eye brows were in desperate need of some love. So when I booked my appointment for this past weekend, August 8th I had the pleasure of getting them done by ZEFFY (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) She did an amazing job , especially with the mess I walked in there with So I highly recommend! Side of caution: I do have very corse hair , so she did have to dig to get some hair out on both my eye brows and lip area; leaving red marks . If I could leave zero stars I would. Inefficient online booking system. No confirmation when booking. I booked a few days ago and wanted to reconfirm and to verify my appointment. I admit, I didn't write it down so that is why I was calling to check. Lehua answered the phone. I asked about my appt and how I would get my confirmation. She said it may come closer to date of services. Then she said to call the person I had booked with because she couldn't find the reservation. She said there were too many to go through. I'm not tech savvy, but for efficiency you would think that they could sort appointments by dates. I told her I thought it was 11:30 and she said there was too much for her to go through. I don't know who I booked with because it would have been my first visit to the store. I told her that the online booking system they are using is not very efficient or helpful. Her reply was rebook. Why would I rebook with a system that is obviously so flawed and with a store where Lehua was so rude to a potential customer. She to,d me she was eating dinner with her family and she didn't have time to help me. If that is the case, she shouldn't have answered her phone. I wanted to try somewhere closer to home, but I guess I will have to continue my trek to Kakaako @ Bold-face. More expensive, but you get what you pay for. Reliable online booking and friendly reliable service! Lehua obviously has issues with her online booking system. As the owner, she needs to fix it. Other customers complaints about system in reviews. I should have read them. Yelp is a good resource. Lehua is the owner and the one who should be able to fix system. Poorly run business! I went to the one in a mall not the base. I was really hoping for the best since I just got to the island and this place had great reviews. I'm not sure if my girl was new but she absolutely didn't listen to me. I asked for a clean up, which is what I usually do when I'm trying out a new place. I could tell exactly when things went wrong . She kept going way after I felt she should've stopped. I finally asked to make sure they won't be too thin. That's when she stopped, showed me the mirror and that was it. Please just listen to your customers, I even pointed to the places I needed cleaning so she would have some guidance beforehand. Maybe she thought she was giving me a favor but it took a month to get my brow looking normal again. Two stars for seeing me the same day. read more

No mention of who it was, just a very direct and straightforward message saying something like "I'm not able to come in today". Results of getting your eyebrows waxed here. They actually let me pay for the services and let me leave looking like this until I found out on my own and I had to go back to the kiosk to get a refund. They did not tell me how to take treat the scars or how this happened. I also reached out to the manager and she has not replied regarding the situation. I've been waxing my eyebrows for at least 8 years and nearly every other week and this has NEVER happened to me. So wax your eyebrows here at your own risk. read more

If you wax your eyebrows, you have to try threading. Threading lasts way longer than waxing does. I normally have to do my eyebrows twice a month, but with threading I come once a month and my eyebrows look ok. 5 stars is for the service and quality of work. Only -1 star because the setting is so public, at a kiosk out in the middle of the mall. Otherwise, I like this place because I don't need an appointment and can look/shop around the mall and get a drink at Starbucks if there is a wait. The ladies who've threaded my brows are all very nice, sociable, and really try to be as efficient as possible.
