Okay, I see why a lot of my friends have season passes. It's easy to want to stay at Hawaiian Falls all day, then keep coming back! I like that it's smaller, more contained than NRH2O. My favorite slide was the big yellow Tsunami and of course, the Lazy River. The loungers are so relaxing and I got quite a tan :D We purchased our tickets on Groupon which were easy to redeem. Additionally, my family brought a small soft cooler with food and drinks, which they do check for glass so be prepared to open every bag up to show them! My group reserved the cabanas in the back, and our servers were amazing! Of course we had to take the frozen strawberry margaritas for a spin. The food all smelled great too. Parking was plentifully, just don't park on the grass! Apparently that is a problem, so there was a police out there enforcing it. A fun and relaxing day was had by all family members! read more

The park is pretty run down and charges $30 per ticket. Luckily I bought a 4 pack for $19 per ticket. The surfaces in many places, such as the lazy river need to be redone. Many of the sprayers in the river and on the large climbing structure did not work. The employees were busy texting versuses taking care of customers at the shops. The HTEAO tea tasted like it had been sitting there for a couple of days. The park had one employee scanning tickets on entry and checking bags, so there was a long line for entry. I bought a souvenir cup and it doesn't even come with the 1st drink. Two positive experiences that I had were with the supervisor in the rental area was very helpful and when I had to go to the 1st aid station. My family and I will not be returning. read more

We had tickets to Hawaiian Falls as part of our POGO Pass. I left the 2 year old at home and took the older 5, ages 5-10. These were great ages for this waterpark. Nothing too scary but all very fun, and the 5 year old was tall enough to do all but 2 of the rides. We had a blast. Our favorite was the green slide, where up to 6 people can all ride together in a tube (up to 600lb). SO FUN. We arrived around 1pm on a Thursday and at that time the wait for tube + ride was around 20 minutes. We considered buying a VIP tube and sharing it (or 4 for $45) but ultimately decided that the reason for the long waits was less tube related than efficiency related. They had one person handling 2 slides and there was at times a long delay between one person exiting the slide and the staff member giving the ok for the next rider. In any case, by 4pm the park started to clear out and there was no longer any wait for a tube at all. Nice! Pros: so, so fun! Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms (considering it's a water park). LOTS of places for adults to relax and watch the fun (in both shade and sun, in water and out of it). The fact that they do the pogo pass was huge for us, as we could never have gone otherwise. These things get EXPENSIVE with a family our size! Cons: Need more staff so rides can be operated more efficiently. Body slides closed down at 2pm (we were glad we rode them first!). No outside food without paying a cooler fee (although, no one checked our bag when we came in... maybe we just looked honest!). Based on the crowds on Thursday at 1pm, I'd hesitate to come here on a weekend. I think your best bet for beating the crowds is coming before closing on a weekday. Overall, a great place if you can find a deal. We hope to return next year! read more

Honestly I'm pretty disappointed with Hawaiian Falls. We took our kids and friends there yesterday. Sitting eating lunch with everyone I see this boy walk by all alone about the age of 7 crying and just visibly upset and shaken. So I check to see if he's ok. He wasn't he lost his mom. (Imagine being lost and 7, imagine loosing your 7 year old in a water park!) So I introduced myself to him and took him over to the Tiki stand to see if they could call over the intercom or maybe what the protocol was for lost children. She stated she couldn't call because it could cause people to show up that's not his parents... then I asked ok so what so we do? She asked a passing by lifeguard if they could help find his mom, she said "no I am too busy sorry" so I took it upon myself to go with him to find his mom. It took 20 minutes. My point to this review is we have had so many amber alerts here lately. Places that are meant for kids should have proper procedures and protocols for issues like this. A lost child is a serious issue not just something you brush off. Do better Hawaiian Falls! read more

If I could give zero I would. Today was champions day (special needs kiddos) online it says champion is free and up to 4 family members $10 each. It states the park is exclusive to champions from 9-10am. No where on the webpage does it state you must arrive between that time to get the special pricing. I arrived at 10:10am and was told I had to pay full price which was over $150 when I was only supposed to pay $40! Costumer service was rude and I had to leave because I could not afford that. I contacted customer service just to receive a pitty answer and told to go back when I live 30 min away and was already home. Plus the customer service lady was rude. If the price is only between 9-10 am it needs to say that online! My kids cried all the way home. Horrible experience. read more

It was our first time here and this is after covid so we purchased tickets online to guarantee we would be able to get in. We had to pay additional charge for a cooler and to purchase tickets online as well. I feel like it should of been the other way around. Upon entry we had bar codes on our phone but their device had a hard time scanning our phone so we had to jump into another line to check-in. Being first-timers, it would be nice if asked "Is this your first time with us"? But instead you would end up going to the counter ask a bunch of questions. We arrived in the afternoon so all the covered and tented areas were taken or reserved, so we had to sit in the open sun on a very hot day. Luckily going down the slides really helped cool us all off. I'm not sure if someone reserves a space and how are we able to take that person's spot?? It seems like it's a free-for-all after a couple of hours there. You can tell everyone that goes to that water park they have no idea how to go about renting the tubes. People would randomly try to take our tubes while we were relaxing. It was a little irritating. Overall, my cousins from Seattle Washington enjoyed themselves and that was all that matters. So I'm not quite sure how to feel about Hawaiian falls. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly. Being our first time we got in a line that was bag check and ended up having to hop out of line to go get our passes scanned at admissions and get back in line; luckily the people in line with us let us hop back in where we had been. For the one ticket we needed to buy outside of our free vouchers it was $38 for someone over I think 48 inches in height. Averaging out to that we paid about $12/13 if I spread that cost over the 3 people we had. I don't think I would have found it worth it if we had paid full price for 3 people; but for what we did pay it was ok. The park is a little smaller compared to where we normally go in North Richland hills. Though I kind of feel that everything is just more compact or stacked on top of each other here. The biggest complaint I had was the messy state of the park. Tons of stuff in the water that shouldn't have been, lots of bugs, trash laying around like wet paper towels. We saw one awesome employee trying to use a net to get flowers and such out of the lazy river but I felt bad for her in that it felt like a losing battle for her. Possibly something for about 5 people to try to get as much out before opening in order to have 1-2 people trying to get whatever fell off the tree with flowers. They charge for bringing food in; I didn't really see where they pull people to make them pay but we purposely avoided bringing stuff in and planned only a 2 hour stay so we could eat elsewhere. I will say I appreciate that they went down the line for bag checks though to help make the line move faster. The one thing we did buy was the off brand dippen' dots ice cream. I think They didn't have the ice cream kinds labeled because the employee had to come out & look at the pictures on the board to make sure he was grabbing the right kinds based off of color. (Banana split & rainbow something or another.) I can only really see us coming back if we have free passes or have a friend absolutely set on coming here. This place has gone downhill. About 1/2 of the rides were closed (i think they are short lifeguards). You now have to purchase a VIP tube to allow you to now have to wait for tubes to ride the rides. Even after paying more money for the VIP tubes, you still have to wait 45 min fir a water slide. The slushee machines were not slushee.. just sugar water... and bees everywhere. Not worth it anymore. My family loves this waterpark! It's small enough that I don't get overwhelmed, but big enough that you can easily spend the whole day there. We get a Pogo pass at least once a year and always use our Hawaiian Falls tickets. They have several locations to choose from but we usually go to the Roanoke one. We had a great time today at Hawaiian falls. The gentleman that was a supervisor went above and beyond to help us so we didn't have to call it an early day. We were bummed a few smaller slides and the shaved ice was closed but understand kids going back to college. The park was kept clean, the bathrooms were a bit messy but that's understandable as well with being short staffed for end of summer. We really enjoyed our time at Hawaiian Falls today! The biggest thing to note is that the park was extremely crowded. CDC guidelines were not being followed and no social distancing was being enforced. If you are not comfortable with crowds, it would be a good idea to skip out on this until things settle down. As for the park, we had a wonderful time on the rides, enjoyed the lazy river, and liked the wave pool. (Until it was so crowded we could hardly maintain 2ft distancing). Masks were being provided in a little basket upon entry, but many people didn't see it or take one. The sign said "recommended but not required". I actually didn't see anyone wearing them. The staff was very kind and helpful. While waiting in line for a snow cone, some employees were handing out cups of water to children and telling them to please stay hydrated while they wait. I thought that was thoughtful. When it comes down to it, we had a wonderful time, but I emphasize this information regarding CDC guidelines for anyone who is wondering how the park is operating during this pandemic. read more

We checked this out one day as it's very close to home. It was perfect for a fun afternoon on a blistering hot summer day! It's definitely a small park, but has something for everyone. The center of the park hosts a large kids' area with water slides and other water attractions. There are beach blasters, a wave pool, and short lazy river as well! As it's a smaller park, the lines for the beach blasters are rarely a long wait. Our favorite was the larger green slide in the middle area (I believe it was called Rip Curl?). It's a steep drop followed by a shot up an almost 90° angle wall. It was a lot of fun! The wave pool is a perfect place to cool off, though it can definitely get crowded. Aside from the attractions and rides, we had no real issue finding a picnic table for us to set our cooler. The cabanas looked really nice with a few even backing up to the lazy river with some nice chairs to sit in the water. Food wise, you have a couple options, but really it's about what you'd expect for a water park. Not better, not worse. There is a bar area, but the drinks seemed pretty pricey. As far as logistics: the parking lot is huge, so finding parking was a breeze. The price for admission is VERY reasonable: $35 per adult and you can even add $3 to get a free combo meal with their "dine and dive" deal. They also offer a generous discount for military and first responders. The biggest drawbacks were wishing that some of the rides and eating areas had more shaded areas. It seemed like everything was out in the sun, which made it pretty toasty. Also, they have a charge to bring in a cooler with your own food and drink ($15). This park is a decent size. It's not super big but it's not tiny. My kids are ages 6 and 8 and they both are on smaller side as far as height n weight goes for their age and they are able to go on all rides. This park is good for young kids. I feel like high school kids would get bored here quick. Don't need all day to accomplish everything either. The downfall is some of the rides that you want the double tube or even the family ride, they don't have enough of the floaters so you end up doing a lot of waiting. This place was really fun so we bought a season pass . After our 3rd visit we started noticing a tube shortage . Well it's not an accident . Since they make you use a tube on their slides you have to rent one $18.00 for a single or $44.00 fir a double . Now to be fair you don't have to rent one but trust me you will standing in line for a long time waiting to get a turn which is just tacky . I mean just charge at the gate and stop being so sneaky about it . The food sucks $59.00 for a frozen pizza with 4 drinks . Or you can pay extra to bring a cooler . Also no cash in the park . You must put money on a wrist band . THAT IF YOU REMOVE WRIST BAND ITS VOID SO I LEFT WITH. $22.00 on mine and unless I wear this stupid thing till next time I come it's money thrown in the trash . I usually don't give such negative reviews but felt like this review warranted it. My family and I visited this location today and were highly disappointed with the park. For the price that we paid for entry we expected a lot more. To begin with the park seems very dated and it is showing. The extensive lines just to wait for the limited amount of tubes to go down slides was another issue. The majority of our time at the location was spent waiting at the bottom of a slide because there was only about ten tubes allotted to each slide. Another problem that was noticed is the understaffing of the facility. It's apparent that the company is likely trying to reduce cost with the limited staff. I felt as though there should have been more staff at certain slides to run effectively and efficiently. Lastly, the biggest issue that I experienced first hand was a safety problem that direly needs to be addressed. We were stuck on two tube slides. When I mean stuck, I literally mean our tube stopped mid-slide. We had to pull ourselves so that it could continue. This place is so fun. The staff is friendly. I want to like it. But there is a major problem and that is tubes/rafts. We arrived here at 11:30 and my kids have just now found a tube to be able to go on their first slide. People are supposed to give their raft to the next person waiting in line as soon as they're done with a ride, but that has not been the case. There is an option to rent a "VIP" tube, but those are $19 per raft and I didn't learn about them until we are close to leaving. This is my first time at the Roanoke location. I've always gone to the Garland location. I must say this one seemed more up to date and clean but smaller. Their parking lot is kinda far but do have people in golf carts picking people up. Also, you can pay $20 for a VIP PARKING spot which is right at the entrance. I visited with my Family Over the Labor Day weekend in 2012 Hawaiian Fall's is primarily aimed at Families with young children, tweens and young teens and this is not a bad thing IMHO, its easy for kids that age to feel intimidated by older children, however we able to let our son run off and play and felt very safe letting him do so. If you have an older teenager that is coming as part of the Family, they aren't going to feel bored, there is enough to keep them occupied, but for return trips I am not so sure... It has only been open for 2 Summer Seasons, still has that "new park" smell to it so to speak. It is a compact, but in a good way in that it is easy to get from one section to another - there is plenty to keep you occupied, unless you are the type that will only be happy if a full day means you have to ride a lot of rides just once. From talking several employees - all nice and polite BTW - the place was considered to be "Busy" - not surprising given that it was the Holiday - but to my eyes it was not "packed", the longest I waited for a slide was 20 mins. I would agree they need more tubes for the Lazy River and Wave Pool. For the former we would have to wait for a few minutes for someone to give theirs up, for the latter you had to be lucky and several groups were "hoarding" theirs. For the rides, I would say they have a good balance, its no point having more tubes if you are going to wait in line anyway - maybe some more 2 person tubes would be good. We booked a "Cabana" - I would highly recommend this, yes it is extra in addition to the entrance fee, but the Privacy of having your own "space" - Waiter service and unlimited drinks made it well worth the cost - OK so maybe not if I had a Season Pass and we were going several times a week over summer, but as a occasional treat most definitely. One Big thing I did appreciate was that we were there on a Sunday and even though it was a Holiday weekend, they did not see fit to jack up the price of the Cabana AND still allowed us to take advantage of the Sunday Specials that they offer throughout the rest of the Season. The only other thing is I would recommend is to bring flip flops, Pool Shoes or Crocs - the concrete gets HOT - my Son and I were able to survive by getting from wet spot to wet spot! Food here is typical but not too badly priced - better than your standard amusement park/resort fare and certainly no worse priced, if you are unhappy paying prices here, you probably don't want to go to any of the other water parks in DFW! Overall a great family day out, as a water park there was much more to do than some resorts (*cough* Gaylord Texan *cough*) and the prices were much more reasonable and I did not feel ripped off (*cough* Great Wolf Lodge *cough*). We could have fun when we wanted and relax when we didn't. read more

Now open in Roanoke!! Who knew? I found out today and wow did I have a blast! Tons of water slides, a lazy river, a beach with simulated waves, a snack bar, a picnic area, tons of chairs, lifeguards and shaded areas. What a nice new park close to home. Admission is $23.99 for adults and $16.99 for kids and seniors. You can use a Dr.Pepper can to get $5.00 off the adult price, or buy your tickets from Kroger for $18.99. There is a $5.00 cooler fee but the fee is waived for the 2011 season. They even have a tram to shuttle you from the parking lot to the park. Everything is shiny and new and I went on a Wednesday so the park didn't feel over crowded. This is definitely my new favorite summer spot and I can't wait to go back! read more

So much fun! Our kids ages 6 and 4 had a blast and we did too. The parking was decent and they have trams that take you right to the front gate! It seems very family oriented; bible verses greet you when you enter, Christian songs played as well as pop/top 40 songs that you don't mind if little ears here. We bought a package through Costco that included admission, drinks and one meal. The entry fee is pretty steep (26.99 for everyone over 42") and the food was just so so. I'd give this place 5-Stars if it wasn't for the "avoidable" wait times. More on that later. First, loved the size of the park. While its small, it's more centered around family involvement and I like that. Second, none of the rides hurt. Go down some other parks slides and you'll know what I mean. The water never burned my eyes. The Life Guards (Especially Josh M.) were amazing. Prices were good. Had I not got a military discount I would have not been happy about the wait times. I counted and most of the time there were no more than 10 people in line. Sounds great doesn't it? But it still took 20-minutes before we ever got to slide. Why? Because the lifeguards wait waaaaaay to long to send people down. I get safety. So I hope the manager doesn't even reply with a safety reason. After a person LEAVES the actual ride, is on concrete and walking away, they should send the next rider. They didn't. We got completely off the ride, walked over to put the tubes away (about 30-foot walk) stood there talking about how we like the ride and they still didn't send people. They need to send the next riders as soon as the people are cleared off the ride and walking away. I couldn't imagine if it was packed. The ride times impacted my star rating. I would have given a 3-Star rating. However, they play great Christian music (not only... there is a blend.) And I just feel that my family is REALLY SAFE here. I'll never return to NRH2O after experiencing Hawaiian Falls. Hope they can do some wait time changes. Nevertheless, I will be coming back because I support Christian organizations. Good park for young kids! Lots of fun but they take safety to the next level and it is painfully slow. The rider has to be out of the water and a few seconds later they set up the next one. There is a gap of 30sec between and end and beginning of next rider. Also, the service is so inefficient, it is painful to watch. The management needs to fix it, train the teenagers better and give them some rope. They have a good park, the facility is great but it could be much better. Not too bad of a place to spend half a day. The weather was good. It's very family friendly. The best part was the family friendly priced food as well. Just don't order the hamburger. It was really nasty and crispy and freezer burnt. Just stick to the corndog or the pizza. They do offer brisket sandwiches. If i were to go again i'd probably try that out.
