I was poking around yelp for something good. And Hawaiian kitchen popped up and omg I'm so glad it did. I absolutely love short ribs. And this place has some of the best. Not dry. Not over cooked. Perfectly seasoned. And a good portion and price. 12.99. You get about 6 good size short ribs with an amazing sauce that comes in a little container with other sauces that they write down what to put them on. The Mac salad taste was great my only complaint is it was with the other food so it got a little warm. The happy combination one was shrimp beef and chicken. Not one thing was overlooked. It was perfect. The taste was amazing. The sauces were great. The rice was great. Perfectly cooked. Decided to try the spam (a national staple of Hawaii) it was out of this world w the teriyaki dipping sauce. I highly recommend that everyone try it. The customer service was out of this world. So welcoming. They have cups to drink from the soda machine while waiting. This is one of the top meals I've had. I absolutely cannot wait to go back to this hidden gem. read more

We've been meaning to try this place for awhile now and so we finally got around to trying it since we were gonna go visit my cousin in the area. Didn't get to photograph everyone's orders but aside from the Masubi and Chicken and Shrimp combo we also ordered the calamari, angus steak combo, and salmon combo. Although it wasn't like our Hawaiian Food experience in California, it definitely is a runner up and great place to try to help fill our cravings. The chicken and shrimp were flavorful with the sauce they gave along with it. The Masubi was also very enjoyable. The boyfriend loved the way the calamari was crispy and also enjoyed his salmon as well. We're really glad we got to try this place and hope to try the other menu items sometime else. If only more Hawaiian food places existed in the New York area. Nonetheless Hawaiian Kitchen is a great place to try and we're excited to go back again. read more

Fairly a new place that opened up so everything is very clean and new. When I first walked in to this place I was greeted very warmly by the owner and I just felt very comfortable at this restaurant. I ordered the combo 3, which was shrimp, chicken and salmon. The wait time was fairly short considering that there were eight of us. The food was plenty and delicious. They gave the people who ordered combos a Hawaiian grill sauce, a reddish-brown sauce, that was put on to the white rice. This sauce made the rice taste very sweet and savory which made it for a great combination along with the meat. The price is a bit over average, but I must say, it filled me up pretty well so I leave this place with nothing, but good things to say! :) It's a pretty unique restaurant specializing in Hawaiian food with a mix of Asian culture. I have never had Hawaiian food before, but Hawaiian Kitchen was an affordable and delicious introduction into their food. The restaurant is bright and airy, and the people working the counter are extremely friendly and helpful. They are welcoming as soon as you arrive in and will check up on you to make sure everything is alright. The menu consists of a number of different barbecued meets, steak, chicken, shrimp and salmon. I ordered the Hawaiian grilled shrimp with barbecue beef. It came with a side of broccoli, rice and macaroni salad, as well as two different sauces, one for the beef and one for the rice. The shrimp was pretty good, it came covered in a slightly sweet barbecue sauce. The beef was my favorite part of the meal though, it stole the show and out shined the shrimp. Although it was probably flank steak, they manged to make it so tender and when dipped into the gooey sauce it came with it just melted in your mouth. Now another thing I love to do at Chinese restaurants is to pour whatever sauce the meat comes with onto rice, I was so happy when they told me that one of the sauces they gave me was for the rice. It was a slightly sweet and also spicy sauce that was perfect for the well cooked white rice, possibly almost as good as the beef. Let me start off by saying the workers and service here were very friendly. Coming from someone who went to Hawaii for 2 weeks this is not authentic Hawaiian food, so it's pretty misleading. The menu is very limited and mainly consists of chicken, shrimp, steak, ribs, a few salads, rice and macaroni salad. No kalua pork/roasted pork, no Huli huli chicken, no loco moco, no poke etc. I'm not an expert of Hawaiian cuisine, but the food here didn't come close. I ordered steak and shrimp with rice and macaroni salad. The steak was cooked pretty nicely and not over cooked. Steak and shrimp were on the bland side, but much better when drizzled with the sauce they provided. The sauce offered a little kick and sweetness. I've been going to this place a lot recently and now I've finally got around to reviewing this place. First of all, the owner is super nice. You could tell she's really passionate about the food. She even checks up on you during your meal. You could order various meats that come with rice, macaroni salad, and broccoli. It's also served with this Hawaiian BBQ sauce that's delicious on the meat, veg, and rice. And after tasting the food, it's seriously good. The number of times I've come here, I've tried the beef, shrimp, and salmon. The meats are tender and delicious, you can't go wrong when ordering. The woman behind the counter is very very nice! I ordered 2 dishes-Shrimp & BBQ Short Ribs. I started with the shrimp. There was an abundance of decent sized shrimp layed over a bed of white rice, broccoli & macaroni salad. If I ordered only this they would get a 5. But then I opened the container of short ribs (it included all the same side items) and they were full of fat. Even the meaty parts were very mealy so that was a big turn off. I love short ribs and I eat them all the time so I'm very familiar with how they are served. I'm hoping they just got in a bad short rib order from their distributor and I will give them another chance to get it right. I love this place. I tried it on a whim when the place I wanted to go to closed. I pretty much get the same thing every time, the chicken mini meal. For $9 you're getting macaroni salad, broccoli, chicken and rice with some amazing slightly sweet brown sauce. It's a really good deal food wise and always fills me up on lunch. The same woman is always working the front. She is courteous and quick and when she asks about her customers she is interested in the answer. Great take out or sit in spot in Bethpage. They have take out style Hawaiian food that are very affordable. I love their meats, especially their beef. It's not the general "chinese" beef with broccoli beef. It's more like skirt steak. I love their food because you can tell it's Hawaiian. The restaurant is very spacious and clean with ample of parking spaces in a shopping center.
