I love Hawaiian Kitchen. It's been one of my go-to spots for a while now whenever I want a solid & nourishing meal that isn't notably unhealthy. I usually get their BBQ Beef & Chicken combo and it always hits. The chicken & beef are sooo soft and grilled nicely with a sweet/salty glaze. The broccoli is steamed and salted which I much prefer over some mushy boiled broccoli as this one's got a little bite to it. Their steamed rice perfectly balances the flavors and the macaroni salad is so good and made in house. Also, their rice sauce is an elite sauce, haven't had anything like it elsewhere and it is so flavorful that I always ask for extras. I've also had their spam musubi: salty fatty spam, soft rice, a little sweet glaze wrapped in nori, very tasty; I usually save one for later. I've also had their calamari which is perfectly cooked every time. Hot, a crispy outer crust, and the actual squid is really soft and easy to chew, their paired sweet thai chili has cilantro in it which is a nice touch. Whether it's authentic or not doesn't matter to me, I always have a good meal here.

I wish I could remember the exact protein in this Poke bowl but it was a chef suggestion that I loved!

I am so happy with Hawaiian Kitchen. The clean and fresh flavors never disappoint. I'm now on a mission to try every Poke bowl combination. I cannot wait to return!

Wow! Freshly made dishes. The Hawaiian Sauce- you could put that on a flip flop and I'd eat it!! Fresh veggies. Carefully diced chicken breast. And I'm 80% certain they put crack in this Hawaiian pasta salad. Dumplings were fresh and they added a hint of sugar to the bottom, so it's caramelized in the pan. Perfection.

I ordered from Hawaiian Kitchen on UberEats, so I can't comment on the service or ambiance at the actual restaurant. They were running a BOGO free deal on a few items, so I decided to order two of the Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Poke Bowl. The chicken itself wasn't anything special, and was a bit tough if anything. However, the rest of the toppings were pretty good. It was a satisfying meal and seemed healthy overall.

Idk why but i had my eye on the spam musubi for awhile and i don't even like pork - seriously. But there was just something about it that had me wanting to try it. And so weeks later i finally caved in and ordered. The verdict : spam musibi - a tad bit salty for me. However it def doesn't disappoint in the filling me up department. It was rolled in a ton of rice and i think it had some teriyaki sauce in the middle. It was surprisingly GOOD. Chicken tenders looked huge. I mean, it was. Chicken, shrimp & steak combo was yummy. It came w a side of broccoli and macaroni salad - which did not disappoint. I give it a thumbs up. My hub devoured his Salmon & chicken combo. He said it wasn't bad. Just reminded him of Hibachi style food. I just think the food to price ratio is off. Def on the pricier side for the amount of food you get, if you're asking me. Overall would definitely order again!

Food choices are good, gad the Tuna & Salmon Bowl. At first thought not enough, but was pleasantly surprised how I was full afterwards. Tasty and fresh.

Somewhere between zero & -3 on the wow meter. Very plain & simple fare, which is subjectively good or bad - In my case, not good. I'm no fancy pants (prefer tattered shorts) and this was underwhelming. That might be ok for cheap eats but this was not a good value based on overall food quality & volume. Pros: meats were cooked well. Clean sit down environment, though no sanitizer avail. Shall we return? Probably not. Ordered: BBQ Chicken & beef combo A, shrimp salad, musubi. Salad was a mediocre mix of iceberg/romaine & tomato. It's difficult to expect anything special from Musubi - I mean, it's spam after all.

They have many menu options ranging from preset poke bowls, to make your own, combo meals, and mini meals. Drinks are about $2.50 a piece, and a wide variety of Hawaiian Sun, casual soda. I was tempted to get the mini meal since I don't eat a lot, but I ultimately caved and decided to get the combo meal since I wanted to try the Kailua pork too. The verdict? The Kailua pork was a little too salty for me, it comes mixed with like cabbage or lettuce, and overall very mushy which I didn't mind. My fiance ordered the bbq mix which included the bbq chicken, beef, and short ribs and I thought the beef was so yummy. The portion size was big. This was nicely done. Everything appeared fresh and it was a good size portion. I would have just liked to seen a little more ahi tuna present, but besides that, very pleasant and filling. I also had the spam musubi ($2.95) and a side of macaroni salad ($3.95). The musubi was okay. It was a little dry. There needed to be more sauce present. The macaroni salad was a heaping portion, and it was tasty. There looked like a lot of mayonnaise present, but it was not too overpowerful as some type of sugar seemed to be incorporated to balance it out. Regardless of what it was, the salad was flavorful. Will I go back? I would.

I understand the impact that a single one star review can have on a small business. But this restaurant behaved in a way that seemed like they literally do not care one bit. And judging by the other recent one star reviews, I see I'm not alone. Which is a shame really, because this restaurant could be something great. I had been planning to visit for my birthday. I had heard of Lee's for years, and have always wanted to go. I was finally ready to make the trek from Queens to NJ, with 9 friends in tow. So I excitedly called to make a reservation. The conversation started out completely normal. He put me on hold (no biggie) to get the reservation book, asked me how many people, and the date. He then went into a list of "rules" they have for reservations. With each point, he was seething with annoyance. Like they're doing their customers a huge favor. But I didn't mind, I just wanted to make the reservation. $75 deposit. Fine. If we cancel for any reason they keep the deposit. Fine. It can be used as a credit if we come another day. Ok. He said a few other rules, and one stuck out to me that I didn't understand. He said "there's no reserved seating". As the point of my phone call was to make a - reservation - I asked to clarify, literally in the nicest tone. He immediately got annoyed at me, and said that they have upstairs and downstairs seating, and they can't guarantee either or. It was at this point I said to him, "I feel like you're upset with me and I'm not sure why." I then explained that I've never been there, but I'm a huge fan and have always wanted to visit, and that this would be for my birthday. I tried to give him a chance to reset and steer the conversation back to- at the very least a calm tone. Spoiler alert- didn't work. He then asks me what time I want. I say 6 PM. You would have thought I just asked him to give me the moon. He got very upset and went on a rant about how "people come, and then the music (he was referring to the karaoke) starts and then they leave." I told him we actually wanted the music, that I knew it started at 7:30 PM and was requesting 6 PM so that we had some time to talk before the karaoke began. He very angrily told me no, that I had to pick one or the other. That if I wanted music, it had to be a reservation after 7 PM- that I had to pick one or the other. And then went on another rant about "changing over the tables" and "they don't want people there til closing" and "how do I expect them to make money." Well for starters, you can provide basic customer service. It was at this point I thanked him for his time and said I didn't want to go there anymore. It's clear they have had various issues with prior customers. But I did not deserve to be treated like that. After hanging up, I was devasted. My birthday plans had crumbled in the span of a 7 minute phone call. Luckily I found another establishment more than happy to take my reservation- and my hard earned money.
