Wood paneling with painted white wall board with some interesting décor added to the experience. We left our charming waitress a generous tip in line with the excellent service. This is one of the best restaurants in the charming small town of Culpeper and I would encourage everyone to try it.

What an adorable little find we accidentally happened upon exploring (read: LOST) in the Shenandoah. When I saw my son's fried chicken get set before him, I almost gave up on being a vegetarian. Almost quit it right there. He said it was fantastic. I had several sides instead of an entrée, the mashed potatoes, side of pickled beats, the mac and cheese, and for dessert the baked/stewed apples. It's a frumpy but friendly little place where you can get a decent meal very inexpensively. Full of locals so you know it's all mostly pretty good. They only take cash though! That was a paradigm shift for a city girl such as myself. I almost never carry cash! Luckily I had some that day. read more

It is our eat-out place every time we visit Stanley. It's probably the only local diner in town. It's family-own for generations. The staffs are super friendly, reasonable price and the foods are delicious!
