Pricey for ramen and the spice wasn't really spicy. We got the Hakata ~$19 and Spicy Tonkatsu ~$20 with extra spicy sauce. The ramen itself was good -- the best was the fermented bamboo, and it was pretty with the cabbage and the corn. Otherwise not a lot of flavor and very small portions. The water was delicious though and service was good. This place does offer T-mobile rewards -- 5% off all the time and another 5% off on Tuesday's. Outdoor patio was nice for our dog.

I went here on a weekday around 11:30am/12pm, it wasn't busy at all, but the waiter was a bit slow to get us seated. There was nothing good nor terrible about the service other than the fact that there was no sense of urgency (to take our order or bring the bill, which was only an issue because I was on a timed lunch break). He mostly was in the kitchen/the back and not often in the seating area or counter to see people come in so we had to wait for him to show back up to the front to flag him down. I'll be frank - the food was a bit disappointing. Aside from personal preference in the type of noodle that was used, I felt like the portion size was misleading and the quality of food was not good. I shared with haya bite, which is chasu in a steam bun; I was really surprised to see how actually small it was in person. In my opinion, not worth the $7-8. Not only did the size throw me off, but the bun was drenched in so much oil (the outside of the bun and on the inside as well) that I could not taste anything else but that. For the ramen, I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen. The noodles were okay, I prefer a thicker cut of ramen noodles, and this place only serves one type so there wasn't anything I could really do about that. I thought the best part of the dish was the corn, and then the broth; which was just okay too, nothing special. The meat was really rough; the purple cabbage and the bamboo shoot tasted old. The soft boiled egg was fine, I ate half of it with the broth. I'm used to ramen places providing the whole sheet of nori/seaweed, but this place ripped it in half and stuck it to the side of my bowl. I opted out on the beansprouts because I don't like them, but it wouldn't have made a difference because my coworker who left the beansprouts in his, literally only got a tiny pinch of beansprouts in his bowl! For the prices of the ramen bowls being around $20 each, skimping out on the portion sizes and putting poor quality ingredients in the dish this badly is ridiculous. I wonder how this place has a decently high rating when there are written reviews are saying similar things to me? Well, I remembered that on my table, there was a small, old, and faded out sign with an incentive if you rated this restaurant. Whether the good reviews are actually real or not, I'd still recommend to save your money as it seems really inconsistent.

My husband and I were on a little road trip and stopped in to get a quick bite. 30 minutes before closing, we were quickly seated and given menus. We ordered the takoyaki to share, I wasn't a fan but my husband loved them. We both ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen. Which was soooo spicy and delicious!!!! We both finished our bowls. Service was quick and friendly, despite us coming in so close to closing. This place was great. Next time we are in the area we will be back! Thank you

We got in and was seating right away! We were expecting them to be pretty busy around 630pm We ordered the tonkotsu ramen with extra meat and boiled egg and it every was really delicious well most likely order it again. We also got the tempura purple sweet potatoes which was surprisingly delicious. The potatoes were soft and the tempura added a nice crunchy texture. The mayo also went well with it!

Nice location with friendly service...the black garlic ramen was good, but a little one note. I wish they had added more broth and less noodles. Also missing was a few slices of pork or meat, especially for a $19 bowl. Parking was easy!

Food: Everything tasted good. The beef bowl is definitely better than a lot of places I had. Ramen was good also. Ingredients seem good quality. Presentation was also great. Service: Came in on a Sunday at lunch. Walked in and were greeted and sat down immediately. Took our order in good amount of time and server was polite. Appetizers and food came out fast also. Only downside is everything is too expensive. Ambiance: The place can sit a total of 30 people max. Small tables. Great asian/japanese decor. Recommend for a lunch date.

Happy to report that this place is still open! My bad for mistaking it for another restaurant that closed. Anyway, excellent service & excellent food. Especially their black garlic ramen!

It's broth, noodles and toppings but everything is just off. Small restaurant with metered parking in downtown pleasant hill. Maybe five or six tables and some bar seating but we were able to be seated right away on a weekend mid-day. 50$ for something that you could likely make yourself at home. It hardly tasted like any ramen I've had. Egg was wrong. Broth was wrong. Noodles were off. Meat was too. Not for me.

Super disappointing!!! I got off work and was so hungry so I came here for dinner. I ordered their wings and tonkatsu ramen. The wings came out with black frizzy hair on it. When I told the lady, she took it back but didn't even apologize or anything. The ramen was disappointing too. All these good reviews are lies. The pork isn't even marinated correctly and to each their own but the thin noodle changes the taste and texture in a bad way. After paying, they didn't even thank me or say bye like normal people who works in a restaurant. $20 for a tiny bowl and they can't even act right. Super disappointing and wasted my money on this crappy place.

I'm so sad to give this low rating, but it is reflective of the food. This is a tiny restaurant that seems to be family owned. My partner and I came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The gentleman taking orders was a little slow to attend to guests, but he was doing the best he could. Onto the worst part. The food. The seaweed salad wasn't bad. The chicken karaage was more like Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Not bad but, not what I was expecting at all. My partner ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and the broth had some flavor. Not a lot ... just some. And although I don't eat the eggs, it wasn't soft boiled at all. Practically hard boiled. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu ramen and it was horrible. I do prefer the thin noodles and it was prepared on the softer side which was fine. But the broth was absolutely FLAVORLESS. It was if they boiled water and added chili oil and tossed in some noodles and toppings. The char shu, though thickly sliced, was overly cooked. But honestly, it was probably the best thing I ate here and that's saying a lot. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place and I definitely would not come back.

We passed by after the movies hungry and looking for a place to eat! Everyone greeted us and was kind. The place was clean and the food came out quickly! The food tasted so good all the flavors it was cooked perfectly! I would come back!

A solid ramen spot! Ordered the purple sweet potato tempura as an appetizer and came out piping hot. I love anything potato so this was a heavy hitter. The ramen broth was tasty and the noodles were cooked to a perfect texture. The few things I did not enjoy much (or more so just caught me off guard) was the fact that the chasu was on the drier side. I've never experienced dry chasu in my ramen before. It was not tender at all and had a very tough, chewy texture to it. I also never seen corn in my ramen before.. that was something new for me! I didn't mind since I love corn but just an observation lol. Service was a little lackluster. No one checked in on us besides when it was time to take our order and to pay. Nothing really special there but not a deal breaker in my book. I will be coming back to try their black garlic ramen and other appetizers!

Was looking for a good hot pot place, and was in the Concord area…read more So I'll start with what I didn't love, but I did think it was a great gimmick for the area. The music was way too loud, almost like a night club - where you have to practically raise your voice to talk. It's great for guys, where their voice projects, but it's more difficult for anyone that has a bit higher. There are no tongs (but they will give you extra chopsticks). Also, the individual induction units are right on the table, instead of inset. This causes the potential of hot soup base spilling as a more likely experience for clumsy people. For the thing I love about this place? First... value for money. $29.99 per person for all-you-can-eat hotpot? This is amazing in this age where an entree is like $25-30. Appetizers are ordered 2 at a time, and meats are 6 at a time. Meats only come one on a thin tray, which holds about 4-6 slices. So you'll be ordering other helpings, since there are I believe 5 beef selections, and a pork and chicken selection (7) total. The middle of the restaurant is a large bar where you get everything that isn't a meat. The selection of vegetables, and noodles are pretty vast, and almost always refilled. The seafood area has shrimp, clams, tilapia, and mussels. Sauces area also on the sides which makes it pretty much an on-going motion. It's not the high-end of hot pot by any means, but the ambience that they're projecting works for the area that it's in and how they compete with the rest of the restaurants in the area. But for the money? I'd go here. We did sit in a side-middle area where it wasn't a booth. However, they made sure to separate out the seating so that if you were a group of 3, they situated in opposite ends to create space. That attentiveness of spacing actually created a better atmosphere which was a small thing, but a smart thing. Love that they actually celebrate birthdays with banging of pots, and wishing well. It's something that is fun for groups and definitely nice if you happen to be celebrating a birthday! Definitely will come back.
