I love me some dim sum. I got food to go, I got soup dumplings, Dan Dan noodles & a beef sandwich. And no I didn't eat this all in 1 sitting. My favorite was the soup dumplings. If you get those to go, be sure to ask for ginger and vinegar. The Dan noodles had good flavor and had a slight spiciness to it. The beef sandwich was filled with beef the "bun" was soft and chewy. But it feels like there should've been a sauce to eat with it. The food was all cooked fresh & packed nicely. The restaurant is small and located right next-door to gelato parlor.

Ordered take out for this location and was a bit disappointed. Firstly, the portion size is definitely on the smaller end. Additionally, it was also extremely salty when mixing in the toppings with the provided portion of noodles. Unfortunately I have yet to try the dumplings so this review is specifically for the noodles.

Today, we walked in and were quickly seated by Carol. The restaurant was pretty empty, so we were able to choose the best seats for us. We ordered the green onion, pancake pork, soup, dumplings, pork wonton with chili sauce, Dandan, noodles, sweet-and-sour cucumber, zha jiang Mian, beef stew, noodle soup, and oolong tea. We noticed that the Dondo noodles were not spicy at all, so then we tried to put some of the hot chili oil on the food and mix it up to get the spicier spices at the bottom of the bowl, but they weren't very flavorful today. Overall, the food was pretty OK a little bland, but not so bad.

I came here on a weekend afternoon with friends, and we were seated immediately. We chose a few of the "must try" items on the menu, and they did not disappoint! Pork w/ Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao: These came out steaming hot! These were delicate with a flavorful broth inside. There was a good balance between the pork and crab. Pork & Shrimp Pot Stickers: These pot stickers were slightly stuck together when they came out due to their crispy bottoms. However, it was easy to separate, and I enjoyed these pot stickers that had a really juicy filling. Pan-Fried Pork Buns: These were fluffy and had a savory, well-seasoned filling. Fried Rice: There was nothing to special, but it was still tasty and went well as a base dish with all the other dim sum items.

This place is not what it used to be. We ordered the five spice beef shank, pan fried chive dumplings, pork and shrimp boiled dumplings and dan dan noodles. The most disappointing dish was the beef shanks. It had no seasoning. Their serving was the size of a toddlers dish. It was thinner than paper covering some dry and brown salad to look like the dish was stacked with beef. For $9 this gave nothing, not even flavor. Everything else tastes like it was made with a bucket of salt. I guess thats where all their "seasoning" went. Pan fried chive was like mush inside. Pork and shrimp boiled dumplings were clearly factory made. The dumpling skin felt and tastes like watery clay. Dan dan noodles was so salty it shouldn't even be legal to eat. I think thats where the spice for the beef shanks went. Whole establishment felt like i walked into an Ihop that wants to be oriental.

This place is an absolute gem for affordable, delicious dumplings. This place caught me by surprise with its pricing, layout, and quality. -casual dining where you get seated and order on your phone. Very easy to have separate checks if dining with a group -can be a longer wait for food if busy because it's a small restaurant Food 10/10 Cucumber appetizer - a must try, the sauce is amazing and the cucumbers are crisp and refreshing 10/10 Spicy beef sandwich - the steamed bun is soft and warm and the beef is perfectly seasoned 9/10 Green onion pancake - crispy and delicious, perfect appetizer portion size 9/10 spicy beef pancake roll - great combination of the green onion pancake and the spicy beef. It's pretty big and could be a meal for one person 10/10 pork and crab xiao long boa - best soup dumplings hands down 10/10 pan fried pork buns and steamed pork buns both are winners Overall, go with an open mind and empty belly and try a little bit of everything, you won't be disappointed!

Went by this spot the other day. Not crowded on a weekday and there was plenty of seating. Got our usual cucumber dish (excellent), and the XLB, potstickers and soy sauce and green onion noodles. Everything was hot and fresh. They were a little shorthanded that day so tables weren't bussed quickly but they kept our ice water filled and food came out quickly.

I tried the XLB pork. It was standard. For weekday lunch hour, there wasn't much rush. Staff was professional. Bathroom needs attention. I look forward to trying more items on the menu.

So good! I honestly went here when it first opened and I thought it wasn't that great but i decided to give it another chance. The pork XLBs were SO GOOD. The soup was yummy and the meat was tender. All the dough for the dimsum plates tasted so fresh. The first time I went it was chewy but I'm glad we tried it when they were able to perfect their menu. Great costumer service, constantly checked in on us. We also got the ube milk tea it was refreshing with our meal. I want to try the thai tea (they were out) but def next time! They have specials: the egg fried rice and pumpkin dimsum with whip cream on the side. Such a good way to end the meal. Lots of tables and spread out, I didn't feel overwhelmed in my space and had enough room. Def would come again!

SO happy that Walnut Creek has a location! I have been to the Oregon location and the San Jose location. This store is narrow and long, however did not take the experience of dining here. Service was excellent, prices were much more affordable than Dumpling Hours. Still the same rewards system as all the other locations, to earn points everyone you dine here! Food was delicious! Especially like the dumplings. Parking was easy on the street, depending on time, may have to pay, totally affordable like $2 to $3. Came on a Sunday free parking. Came again on a weekday, about $4 in total for parking for my whole dining duration. Will definitely come again!

Dough House blew us away from start to finish! We started with the passion fruit green tea -- so refreshing and perfectly balanced. The green onion pancake was crisp, flaky, and full of flavor. My absolute favorite was the pan-fried beef pies -- golden, juicy, and seasoned perfectly inside. The steamed pork buns were pillowy soft with a rich, savory filling, and both the chicken dumplings and chicken & veggie pan-fried wontons were delicious, especially when dipped in their house sauce. Everything was hot, fresh, and made with obvious care. You can tell they take pride in their food. We left completely satisfied and can't wait to come back! I wish we had a place like this in Nashville!!

Do you ever crave dumplings as a quick snack???!!! If you do, this is the best place to go in the East Bay! They are so quick to seat you and take your order. They have several drinks to try while you wait for your order, so take advantage of their diverse menu! It's so cozy and gives a modern take on a dim sum restaurant. This place really stands out for their chicken options for dumplings. Most places serve pork and seafood, so having chicken as an option for those with dietary restrictions is phenomenal. With that being said, I often order almost every chicken dumpling plate. Doesn't matter if it's the pan fried dumplings, steamed dumpling, or potstickers. I would pair these items with the dandan noodles and the sweet & sour cucumber. I really enjoy this establishment, and I think this is one of the few restaurants that I've almost had everything on their menu. Dough Zone does not disappoint!

    Kale salad w/ sesame dressing
    Donna N.

Made it here before they closed !! Tried to join the loyalty program , app not cooperating !!! Helpless & frustrating feeling !! Got veggie potstickers & kale salad w/ sesame dressing to go !! The takeout box is cute & different The potstickers had a Lacey quality as they were sautéed all connected next to each other !! The kale salad was basically steamed w/ a savory spicy sesame dressing & chopped peanuts !! This used to be a Veggie Grill, a favorite restaurant ... orders are taken & paid for @ front register & brought to your table by servers

As I was serving the soup, I noticed something unusual. When I picked it out and placed it on the counter, it was clearly a yellow worm. Completely shocked, I contacted Uber Eats customer service. They only offered a refund for the soup, not the chow fun, because the issue wasn't visible in that item. But honestly, how am I supposed to feel comfortable eating anything else from the same order after finding a worm in one dish? I then called the restaurant to report what happened, and instead of addressing the seriousness of the issue, the manager asked what we wanted them to do and even offered free food. That response was disappointing and didn't feel appropriate given the situation. It's unfortunate because we've ordered from here before and the food was good, but after this experience, we couldn't bring ourselves to eat the rest of the meal. Dinner and our appetite was completely ruined and it came with a price.

Chicken Crispy Noodles: this is the star of the show for me. Their pan fried noodles are perfect. It reminds me of a place I used to go to in sf when I was in middle school which is no longer there. We didn't have to wait for a table, but it was quite full for how many tables they have! They have both a good amount of outdoor seating and indoor seating. Ordering is done via a QR code on each table. I want to start out by saying that we were all hungry after a hike, so between the three of us, we shared: 1) Pig Ears & Cucumber w/ Chili Sauce: I love the crunchy, gelatinous feeling of biting into these. They're kinda refreshing since it's usually served cold with cucumber. I think they give a pretty good portion for this appetizer dish. 2) String Beans Sauteed w/ Garlic Sauce: Lots of garlic pieces mixed into these string beans! The beans weren't the most fresh. There were some stringy ones, but portion was also pretty generous and I usually like having these when I have dumplings! It's a nice pairing. 3) Shrimp, Egg, Chive Pockets (2): These are huge pockets and packed full of ingredients. The skin was thin, crispy, but just a tad oily. I love that they added so much chives into it. Although the skin fell apart pretty quickly - either because it's too heavy with ingredients or the ingredients were wet - I appreciate the thin skin more than a thick skin. 4) Juicy Pan-fried Pork Buns: These were my favorite. I haven't found a really good one around the Bay until I tried these. Usually the buns I get are either too thick-skinned, doesn't have good bun to pork ratio, or dry. These on the other hand, were pretty close to perfect. There was a lot of juice inside - I would say as much as the XLBs. The skin was still pretty thin on the top and not too dough-y on the bottom, but also had a nice crunch from being pan-fried. And the pork was nicely flavored! I would come back just for these. 5) Pork Xiao Long Bao: Also pretty good! Skin was thin and held a lot of juice! Pork was nicely flavored as well! But portion was smaller than most other restaurants I've been to. 6) Dumplings with Shrimp, Pork & Chive (10): These were also one of my favorites. They have their skin perfected - not too thick. Filling wise, this is one of my top go-to for filling, and it's hard to resist a good dumpling! We walked out with our bellies full and feeling great. I can't say there were much interaction with the servers since they were so busy, but would come back when I'm around the area!
