I asked for 4 inches off the bottom and she took 7. I said 4 inches, I stood up and showed her the 4 inches, she demonstrated the 4 inches, and we agreed on the length. Then I went from 33 inch long hair to 26!! That is very far off! My hair is well past the minimum length I like for points on my body. I was so proud of my long hair and now I have to wait a year to grow it back to where I wanted it trimmed! This is heartbreaking. It's also right before a trip where I was so excited for my sister see how long my hair had gotten. Back to cutting my own hair I guess. Nah, dropping from 2 stars to 1 because how do you mess up by 3 inches. It's not just a little shorter where if I wait a few weeks it'll be fine. This is going to impact me for months. Very disappointing and depressing. I'm curious how the stylist can make up for such a drastic mistake. She can't glue the hair back together. I got highlights done later that day so a year from now when my hair is back at the length it was supposed to be at today, I'll have to pay to get the color done again to FINALLY have the hair I was supposed to have today. That's why this mistake is such a big deal. It's costing me hundreds more dollars and a year of my time to have the hair I wanted. read more

My regular hairstylist is out of town for a long time so I wanted to find a new salon that had reasonable prices, so I tried this HD Salon. Huong (I think that's her name!) cut my hair and I'm very pleased! My hair is very short but also straight and very fine so it can be difficult to cut. Huong razor cut my hair around the edges and then scissor cut the top so that I have some volume on top. Nice! I will be back! She knows how to cut fine and straight hair! read more

My neighbor recommended HD Hair Salon and I'm so glad that she did. Connie has the most reasonable prices in town and does quality hair. Connie does my hair exactly as I ask and has expressly said that if I'm not happy with it to come back and she will fix any concerns. honestly the lady that cut my hair was ok, she wasn't necessarily rude or anything but I feel like she didn't try to make my hair look nice. I asked for layers and curtain bangs, and for my hair to pretty much stay the same length, but what did I get? my hair pretty much half the length it was before, no curtain bangs, and no layers. And to make it even worse she charged me $35. $35 and for what??? for you to take 5 mins cutting my hair in half?? like I'm literally paying you to give me layers and curtain bangs and you didn't even do that, like wtf?!?? It is not safe for me to wash my own hair. I have an inner ear disease which causes serious vertigo. I have gone to so many hair salons and when ask if they can wash my hair, I'm met with discuss! I have been going here for over ten years now. Ten years I lived in Tigard, where HD Studio is located, but since then I have lived in Woodburn and now Tualatin. When I lived in Woodburn, I still went out of my way to get my haircut here. I'm very simple and they get it right every time. Why change it up when you know you'll get the same cut every time here? It has been the same owner since I have been going here; I have been going here since 2003. There are usually three Vietnamese ladies they work here; and two of them (one being the owner) has been here the whole time I have been a customer. was looking for a place to get my hair cut and was referred to this place by a friend. he told me it was a shop operated by some asians. drove up and parked in the plaza lot (there's actually two hair cut places there- strange?) it's a small cozy shop. two women working there. the woman giving me my cut asked me how short i wanted my hair. then she proceeded to talk in her native tongue to her colleague for the whole duration of my cut. followed by "is this good?" - i kind of loved it - i am actually quite pleased with my cut. and the best part... it was only $9 (+ tip)!. that's cheap - fair and affordable. women's haircuts are only a dollar more! read more

Asked for 4 inches to be cut off. She even showed me that she understood by showing me what 4 inches looked like on the comb. She took off 7 inches so now I can not even put my hair up in a bun. Your hair grows an average of 6 inches per year, so this will take 6 months to grow back to the correct length. Never will go back. I am never coming back again! I asked for an inch long trim and the hairdresser took a raiser blade and started hucking 2-3 inches off my hair. She did not even clean the edges. My 7year old daughter would have done a better job... My hair is now thin without any shape. I guess I will put my hair into a ponytail until it grows out so I can go to a professional hairdresser. This place is great for the price. I go and get a simple cut that is short on the sides and a fade up. They remember my haircut when I come back and also spend just as much time as a place that is twice as expensive. The price is right for wonderful professional hair cuts. I paid $9 each for them to cut the hair of my 4 year old and 3 year old daughters. I asked them to cut their hair and make them look nice and they both received amazingly stylish and sleek cuts such as you would find at a high end salon. I love this place, we used to live very near, and I always took my whole family to get cuts from them. Even now, it's a 20 minute drive, I still go often, and take my kids when schedules permit. At HD, my girls and I always come out feeling like new with our fresh and bouncy hair. They cut super thick, long hair with ease and confidence, a major plus, because on times when we've had to go to other places, people take FOREVER to cut my girls mega thick hair. And they cut boy's/men's hair so quickly, you won't even run out of Candy Crush lives. My son got a hard-part cut about a week ago from the eldest stylist, and although I usually find her to be the quietest of the bunch, she fully explained several points to the haircut and how that translated to his hair. This "Hair studio" is not at all the greatest. Although there may be some cuts that is average from the luck of the draw, the employees are not continuous. I have went there a couple times (due to my budget) and always ask for the same thing: Two on the sides + back and blend it in on top. The hair cuts have always been a little different for each one (longer, shorter, etc). However, today I went for a haircut because my hair was getting a bit shabby. So I asked for the same haircut and before I knew it, I was getting a butch. Not only is their haircuts mediocre, the employees are quite rude, with no personality.
