I received the cement tub today VIA FedEx. Very disappointed because of the following: 1. I know I paid for shipping and truly it was shipped. It was not in a box as the tub just had the Fed Ex sticker pasted to it. 2. It has a cut in one corner. I am now in the process of attempting to fix with Flex Seal so I can actually use it for the intended purpose! 3. Unfortunately, I will most likely discard it if in fact it through the mixing of the bags I purchased for the mounting of my flag pole. I actually expected more, and had I knew that WHITE CAP fulfillment would not take the time to pack the tub properly, I would never have placed my orderly. I doubt if I would ever do business with the company again and obviously I could not recommend anyone order items from them via E Order. Sincerely, very disappointed customer.. read more

Francis (name on the sales order I want to recall it was something else like Jim) Aubrey Aussie accent even. Anyways, completely screwed me. Sent me the wrong sealer and a USED SPRAYER!!! We were about to seal a concrete floor and get a sprayer that's has the bottom filled with another liquid/chemical. I told him I couldn't remember the brand name. But it was the first item on the shelf (the entire shelf is for that brand) I gave him the name of the sales rep for the brand. He said no problem he knew exactly what I was talking about. Except for this brand is several shelves into the row and it's a completely different chemical and it completely ruined 11 days of prep work! On top of that I called him back an hour after I placed order to see if it was ready for pickup. He was rude and said it's only been 20min. I'm thinking he either had a really bad day or he's an asshole. My guess he's both. So thanks for ruining 11 days of hard work because you were to lazy to walk 10feet to verify you were correct with the name. Or taking 20sec to make sure you sold a new sprayer. You can find home project supplies here that you won't find at Home Depot or Lowe's, it is however set up for the pro's and the staff is not as helpful. If you know what you are looking for and how to use it, this is a great place to find your supplies. If you are a first-time DIYer be patient because they are not going to go out of their way to help. We were doing out floors recently and found the products we wanted online and they sent us to White Cap. We bought the supplies but then we found a different vendor that was AMAZING, and so we took everything back to White Cap. The warehouse is HUGE and parking is a bitch so again, be patient.. : ) read more

My husband and I were renovating the cement wall in our backyard and we ordered some rebar from this location. My husband and I decided to split up the errands so I went to pick up the rebar as he picked up other items for the renovation. Little did I know, the rebar needed to be tied down. I came in here looking for something specific. It's in their catalog but since it's apparel I wanted to try it on rather than just guess. It's not a cheap item and I'm kind of in between sizes. After looking in the appropriate department I inquired at the desk and we told to "Go look over there" where I just was.. Grrrrr! When I informed them that I was just over there the girl behind the counter acted like she was doing he the biggest favor ever by looking it up on the computer and was informed that the El Cajon location had what I was looking for. I asked what could be done since that was the way wrong direction for me. She replied with... "Well, you could drive to El Cajon" and went about her business. Meanwhile the other four people at the counter paid ZERO attention to what was happening. I waited a couple minutes to see if we were done........... It turns out we were done and I will never use White Cap for anything again and I'll make sure my company doesn't either. This experience comes after being ignored at one other location and driving to another listed on the website that turned out to be a closed location and empty building. I bought flooring supplies from this store in carlsbad. Like a bad dream trying to get information. Now I took back a bit of the supplies I needed, which I had paid cash. Long story short I've been waiting over 5 weeks for my money back after many different tales from both the store and corporate. Plus my fault, but I found this product cheaper(about 30 %) after the fact. A few good persons, but overall not a customer friendly place! read more

This was the old Abco almost 30 years ago. Great place for the do-it-yourselfers and THE PLACE for contractors. This place can get busy and everyone's in a hustle, but most of them are very knowledgeable (there's a British guy there that's a damn construction encyclopedia!). Anyway, I was able to make some repairs on my warehouse on my own - saving a bundle - and got my materials there. Oh, free coffee, soda, and popcorn. read more

Watch out, these guys are lairs and don't know much about the products they sell. I called and asked about a few products, guy couldn't' tell me more than what I already knew from the whitecap website. I continued to follow up and ask if the 5 gallon we talked about was in stock and priced checked to make that the website was right. They told me yep lots in stock, when i showed up 2 hours later they told me oh we don't stock that, but hey you can buy 5 one gallons to get 5 gallons, but no we can't give you the 5 gallon price. Would have gotten at Home Depot if i could only buy 1 gallon at a time. read more

Watch out, you'd think the prices are similar to Home Depot...but they are way higher. They might be less if you had an account, but as a customer you'd think Home Depot is Home Depot. I'll never buy anything here again! read more
