I decided to get my haircut without an appt but I called first to see if they take walk-ins. There was no need to walk in because Joani was able to fit me in at a later time in the day. I love the way the place looks and the dogs that are there to visit while you wait for your turn. Joani was super nice and did a fantastic job on the a-line cut I wanted. This review is specifically for Linda Hensill, at headeast salon. I just moved back to east county. Linda was kind enough to squeeze me into an appointment at the end of the day. First time going to her and I am glad I went. I am NEVER go back to European Wax Center, Benefit Brow Bar, or Native Day Dreams Spa for any of my skincare or waxing needs. That's saying a lot because I actually liked those places. They just aren't as good as Linda is, she's simply the best!!! Plus she's in Alpine! Linda is easy to get ahold of and she was quick and consistent in her responses when getting back to my mom and I. It was extremely convenient to make an appointment with her and confirm details via text. I especially appreciated that as sometimes I just don't have the time to call and texting is more convenient. In regards to the actual treatment it was definitely more along the lines of a spa experience versus a typical quick brow appointment. Linda's technique and her products left my skin looking better than ever. After my visit with Linda my brows looked amazing, and my skin looked amazing. I'm very fair and usually my skin turns pretty red for a couple days after waxing, and sometimes it annoyingly breaks out. This was not the case with Linda. There was a very brief massage incorporated into Linda's technique which was nice. I'm definitely going to be seeing her again. I'm happy to see Linda offers many other services and I'm interested in visiting her for them in the future. My mom and I really appreciated Linda's level of professionalism and how accommodating she is. She also did something (I forget what it's called) that blasted oxygen into my pores to help reduce redness and small breakouts. Linda definitely didn't have to do that and the fact that she was considerate enough to go out of her way and offer to do so really reflects a lot about her and the way she does her job. I called the salon to let them know I was not satisfied with my haircut. I felt bad doing so bc honestly I don't usually do this. They were super nice and accommodating. Another stylist offered to cut my hair again that evening. I was eager to try again. Annette did an amazing job, love my hair, and was so understanding. I will definitely go back. Not only did I shed 6 inches of my damaged do, I feel like I dropped 5 pounds of drag from my entire essence. As a first timer to this salon, I was extremely impressed by the attentive and skilled stylist, Jill. By the end of my appointment, not only did I feel lucky that I found my new stylist, I also feel I gained a new friendship that I was not expecting! Needless to say, I haven't been the type to give myself pampering but after this experience and feeling as good as I do about myself after that visit, you better believe I scheduled a future appointment!!! Initially called this salon in need of a new hairdresser. Was recommended to Heather Para, she started out great but the last two appointments she was a no show. No call to give an explanation as to why she did not show, nothing. The only person in the shop, NOT THE OWNER, tried to help but had a booked schedule and could not accommodate me for a hair cut. I would not write this review other than the fact that Heather started her poor business behavior around December, its now March. You would have thought the owner would have seen a pattern and tried to assist all the clients this girl left with no explanation or offer of a recommendation.
