I noticed that he had gotten thin and was not his usually self. On Sept. 5th I had to take him to the vet. He weighed 13 lbs (on 8/6/25 he was at vet and he weighed 14.8 lbs which was always his normal weight give a few ounces). He also had fever of 103, and bloody soft stool and very lethargic. The next day I called kennel and told them what happened, I was told the owner would get back to me. No call from the owner, so I called again the next day. Same response. On Monday. 9/8 I called the previous owner, he told me that he would have the new owner contact me. The new owner Mckelle gave me a call that night. She told me after 2 hours they pick up the wet food (cans). Whether its eaten or not. My dog has always been a grazer (he eats when he wants too). Mckelle also told me that she would call me back the next day after checking the feeding logs. I never got another call. Basically they starved my poor boy and the damage to his system was irreversible. I had to put him to sleep on 9/9/25. My beautiful boy is gone because of them!!!! Avoid this place!!!!

We had to put one of them down due to injuries and thought I would need to rehome 2 of them but he worked with all of us and made my pack stronger and more bonded than ever. He took the time to come over first and watch and observe them together and then he worked with them individually and in smaller groups. He trained me as well on how to be a stronger mama bear and take my power back. He taught me to "lock up" my couch since the couch was misbehaving when I wasn't home. Haha. Now my furniture is safe, my dogs aren't tempted and they can be unsupervised more often without getting into trouble. His weekly group classes are a lot of fun to bring the dogs to so they can play and train at the same time. They can meet other dogs if they want or we just do our own thing and my crazies love Mr. Nick. He still periodically checks in on us and always responds to my texts when I have a quick question. You can tell he truly loves all the animals he works with and they can feel it too. I'm so glad he was recommended to me by my vet. He was life saver then and he is still one now. Because 5 crazies is a lifelong commitment and the training snd questions never stop.

He is patient, clear and builds a strong foundation that helps puppies build confidence. We had a package for both private and group training, and both have been incredibly valuable for us & Winter. At group she is learning impulse control, basic commands while there is a lot going on around her, agility, and we sometimes finish with group play that reinforces how to play with other dogs in a safe & controlled environment. We also did a board & train while we were on vacation, and Winter was so happy (and tired) when we got home, but responded much better to commands, but we had to stay consistent for her. 100000/10 Highly suggest Content K9s!

My wife and I were honestly a little hesitant about hiring a dog trainer for our dog, Augie. We…read moreweren't sure what kind of results we'd actually get for the price. After hearing a positive experience from our neighbor, we decided to meet with Brendan from Lead and Thrive Dog Training. From the first consultation, Brendan was confident, clear, and straightforward. He explained that the program would take eight weeks and emphasized that our consistency at home would be the key to success. He also provided all of the necessary equipment, including a long-range collar, leashes, and training collars, which made the process easy to get started. After the consultation, we planned to take a few days to think about it, but within minutes of Brendan leaving, my wife was already asking me to call him back and get started right away. That pretty much says it all. The program consisted of one session per week for eight weeks. In our case, that included four in-home sessions, two sessions at a nearby park, and two additional sessions tailored to what we wanted to focus on. We chose more dog-focused park training instead of busier, people-heavy environments like Lowe's or Home Depot. Each session was followed up with a detailed text recap covering what we worked on and how to continue practicing during the week. That made a huge difference in staying consistent. After completing the program, we also gained access to unlimited weekly group training sessions, which is a great added value. Brendan also gave us helpful recommendations for quality gear, like retractable leashes and car restraints. At the end of the process, we couldn't be happier. The results, the value, the structure, and the support all exceeded our expectations. Augie has made incredible progress, and we feel much more confident as dog owners. Highly recommend Brendan and Lead and Thrive. I can't say enough amazing things about Lead and Thrive Dog Training and Boarding! When I adopted…read moremy dog Zoe from the Henderson Animal Shelter, she was extremely dog aggressive. Honestly, I wasn't sure I'd even be able to keep her--I felt overwhelmed and defeated. Then I found out about Lead and Thrive's 2 week "Doggy Boot Camp", and it completely changed our lives. When Zoe came home, she was like a different dog--calm, well-trained, and actually controllable. The trainers didn't just "fix" her behavior, they also took the time to explain everything to me so I felt confident continuing the training at home. One of the BEST parts of their program is the ongoing support. Every Saturday, graduates can join either go on a pack walk or a group training session at a park. Zoe gets to socialize, I get reinforcement for her skills, and we both leave feeling like part of a community. Lead and Thrive didn't just train my dog--they gave me the tools (and hope!) to keep her safely and happily in my life. I truly believe Zoe wouldn't be thriving without this program, and I'm beyond grateful. If you're struggling with your dog, don't give up--give them a call. Absolute game-changer!

When we signed up for the group lesson with Mike, I was worried about what would happen with all the other dogs! But he assured me to be there without rejecting her, knowing she'd act crazy! When we showed up, she was barking, lunging, and going crazy since we got off the car, and we couldn't go near at all!! This continued for maybe four sessions in. Then Mike grabbed her leash and corrected her. That's all it took! He showed us how to fix the situation and stay consistent at it. Look at the picture! This is her in STAY command, just relaxing on the trail. We can walk by other dogs without a hassle. It's a working progress, but this wouldn't have happened without his training. Mike is full of knowledge and experience. He taught us very simple yet valuable skills, and it's been going very well since our sessions ended.

Most importantly you must go in knowing that you as an owner need to put in the work to get results and trust me, you will get results if you do. It's all patience, communication and consistency. Get those wins! I have three dogs so it wasn't an easy training process because of different ages, sizes and behaviors hence why we needed help. But the training techniques he taught apply and work with all of them and had made it easier. With a few more wins under our belt day by day! Michael was communicative and flexible while scheduling our weekly classes. There was never any force or aggressive training involved at any time, no need for shock collars only training collars (very different). Price wise I think he is the most reasonable and he has group classes you can attend. We look forward to taking those classes! Thank you Mike!
