3.5 stars I heard about float away spas and was curious to try them out especially since I'm all about self care and wellness these days. I booked online per their first timer special ($30 for 60 minutes), which I thought was a good deal. The owner Denni was very welcoming and thorough in her explanation of the float away process. The ambiance was nice and everything seemed to be in place. Overall, I enjoyed the ability to float in the nest. My best description would be like being in a bath tub with great lighting and zen music. The downside was that as the time grew the water got cooler. Although Denni shared that that would happen, but, to enhance the experience a consistent warm temperature would be awesome. Also It was shared that the nest was very sanitary, I couldn't stop thinking about the possibility of it being not as sanitary as I'd prefer. Nonetheless, it wasn't a terrible experience...it's not my thing, I'll just stick to hot tubs and baths in my home.

The float is AMAZING! Very relaxing and I see a huge improvement in my back and hip pain afterwards. You can float in darkness and silence (my goal!) or have lights that align with chakra colors and music/nature sounds. Not claustrophobic at all, which I was scared of, plenty of room with float pod closed. The spa is beautifully decorated, very clean, and the owner is delightful with excellent customer service. After my first float ever I bought a package of 8 I loved it so much!

I absolutely love this place. The owner is one of a kind and devoted to clients. It found this place ages ago on Groupon and now I am a regular. I know there is an infrared sauna coming and the float packages are reasonable! This place has really made me a believer!

The bottom 2 readings are from before a 90 minute float and after. From 160 to 123! 37 points!

I have been floating at Floataway Spas almost weekly for a year now. I typically do a 90 minute float. I would guess I fall asleep after about a half hour in the float tank. It's so peaceful and relaxing! The water is always warm throughout the 90 minutes. The healing benefits are wonderful! I have arthritis in my feet from standing for long shifts. My neck and shoulders also also are typically tight and sore as well. Floating has given me relief from both! I'm also a type 2 diabetic. Floating helps relieve my stress which has helped to bring my blood sugar down. I take a reading before and after my floats. My blood sugar usually lowers by 20 - 50 points! The facility is always immaculately clean. The owner Dani is always professional and friendly. She is supportive in her clients journey to better health using float therapy!

I just came here for the first time and had a great first experience. I'm a strong advocate for mindfulness and I don't know what better way to practice that than in a floatation tank. I had heard about floatation spas from one of my dear friends and I finally decided to do the research and find one to go to myself. This place popped up on yelp and had some of the best feedback I'd seen. I'm going to try to give a detailed description for those like me who like to research before I do anything. After deep yelp research, I purchased the first-time special online and easily booked my first appointment on the business's website too. I did some research so I'd know what to expect and arrived about 15 minutes early. It was clean, well presented, and just a cute overall place. Not to mention, the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. I was kind of nervous at first but ready to embark on my floatation experience. She brought me to the room where I'd be floating (there are two total), and she explained to me the whole process. You put in your earplugs while dry, shower with everything but conditioner to strip away the oils, knock on the door to let the owner know to start your time, grab a towel for your eyes just in case you need to wipe away the water, then you get into the tank and begin your float. You can choose whether to have the lights on or off and also what sounds you want to hear. Then you just float. I can see how it might be difficult to relax at first if you haven't practiced meditation before but it truly is good for you. I had tension in my back that dissipated within five minutes. I tried out multiple different positions until the water just manipulated my body into what felt most comfortable. After several minutes, I was able to be calm and in touch with myself, focusing on my breath and being mindful. I had a couple sensations where I was almost hallucinating, feeling like I was traveling on a boat observing my life. There was another time where I felt I was spinning in circles and almost felt nauseous, only to open my eyes just to realize I had not moved from my position. Overall, it was a great first experience and I'll definitely be back. 10/10 would reco

This place is interesting, and looks nice and relaxing, but it just too many issues for me to return, I always like to try new places, experience the atmosphere, and hope for just a well relaxing time. I wish i got a Picture of the outside wall, art work, its actually pretty cool and vibrant. OH kay, lol... this were it starts to snow ball and go down hill , gaining mass and speed.. first off the staff were super friendly but we waited about 10 mins at the front counter before someone came to the front. We waited for our spas, enjoyed some def caf tea, as we sat in the waiting area / lounge. Across from us was a small Sauna, I am guessing 2 people could fit in ther would be very close to the other person I would think, so you better be friendly with them ;-) ;-) Needless to say, did not go in there. lol The Lounge area was somewhat split up, with some couches in the main area, which a couple was over there just laying spread out, so did not want to sit to close to someone else and ruin there experience. Ok, so finally get in to the spa room, its kinda cool , the shower is at the entrance of the spa, there is a bench to sit and take shoes off or what not. Basically you strip down, (Yehaa). Dont get any ideas here, this is a solo spa, not sure if they have couple's or not.. but this was a Solo experience. Take a shower, open the door, and carefuly get into the spa. I found the floor to be super slippery. And someone like me, i have poor balancing due to a brain surgery years ago... But ya, the floor was super slick, no grip on the ground, just tile like. There was a mat, but it was a joke, really thin, and did not grip let alone didnt help. so lets get into the spa, aaawww! Well thats what i was hoping for, my ass hit the bottom of the spa, Now Ive been to 3 different spas, and all of them were deeper then this one. That and there is soooo much salt in there you'll float. Salt was there but stuck to the bottom , with my bottom... lol.. It ruined the experience for us, I wasnt the only one complaining about this. But needless to say our experience wasn't that relaxing, and fear for my life walking around on the slik was a thing... :-(

Deanna, the manager, was so informative and helpful. The added touches of the self care items after the float so you can be ready for the day without having to bring all your items from home was nice. First off, I really appreciate that although I had a handful of unused floats from the past ownership, and although the current owner didn't have to, I was able to redeem 2 of them. So that was really generous of her. What stands out from the past is, the current owner goes above & beyond to be hospitable. As many times as I've been here, it's the 1st time someone has ever gave me a full tour & explained everything the way she did . After showing me how the new music system works, she showed me the relaxation room that has the oxygen, essential oils, hot tea (yum!) & coloring books. Then, she showed me the after care room which has a blow dryer, qtips, cotton balls, hair ties, lotion, hair care sprays & the bathroom. I really appreciated she allowed me to have room 4, which is significantly bigger than the other rooms. Then, she explained the items there for me, like the extra towels, instructions for 1st time floaters, towels, jelly for cuts, the earplugs (which you should put in before going in the pod), the eyespray which I used a few times in the past or else saltwater can burn your eyeballs, so don't do that! You've been forewarned. There's a sign for the shower which states you are supposed to do that both before & after getting in & out of the pod. There's shampoo, conditioner, & body wash provided. It was a great float but it was an exceptional experience because of the new owner. Even at the end, we conversed about balancing kids, owning a business & I also rescheduled before I left. I highly suggest to give it a try especially if you're a former customer, a new one or if you're just thinking about trying it. I really like the current vibe, fresh modern decor and the friendliness of the owner & I'd definitely go back. Great place to unwind & detox your mind & body after all that Christmas shopping too.

I truly love the concept, even though for me the experience felt a bit overstimulating and physically stretching at times. After my float, I enjoyed the oxygen bar and mentioned interest in learning more about another service option. During my oxygen session, the receptionist kindly offered to bring me tea, but it never arrived. By the end of the session, I noticed staff members chatting at the front while I was left feeling a little unsure about next steps. The staff were not rude at all, they were polite, but I did leave feeling like a bit more attentiveness and, guidance could have made a meaningful difference, especially for a first-time guest. The facilities themselves were generally clean and the overall concept has a lot of potential. With a little more intentional customer care and follow-through, I think this could become a much stronger experience.

I've been to another float center in Redwood with a friend, so it was nice to find one close to home. I put a cloth in the lid to keep it open a crack and to help mark my orientation if I get up and want to readjust. I find that I prefer wave sounds and my husband likes music. I like to start with lights, then lights off for a minute, then I eventually mentally "drop down" into peace and darkness for like a half hour or so. Sometimes faster or slower. Really it's great for any body soreness and mental fatigue. I usually notice a 2-for-1 special and buy that and do a float "date" with my husband. So we usually get a sitter, catch a bite, connect and float. My hubby found out he had a lot of scratches on the last one... so they told him to reschedule no cost when he felt better. How considerate! I have been here 4 times now, but that felt so considerate that I trust them and really look forward to going back. I really like how close they are to a few spots I need things from as well. Since I'm out of town, we stop by the stores or eateries and cafes nearby to make it a treat.
