I arrived here referred from my chiropractor after being in a car accident. I arrived for an 8am appointment at 7:45 and didn't see the doctor until 8:52 (I literally almost fell asleep in the room they put me in). When the doctor did see me, he was with me for a maximum of 8 minutes in which he had me look left, look right, walk to the door, and touch my toes. Then the doctor proceeded to tell me that he didn't have my MRI nor my x-rays and left swiftly telling me to "wait here." A few minutes later, a medical tech came in to take x-rays. I told him that I had already taken x-rays, which I told the doctor, and the health tech said "well we can wait for that to process or just take another set." Knowing that this was going to be an added expense on my lien and that my chiropractor had sent them my records (I had also had terrible and multiple calls from people who work at this location who constantly requested information from me regarding the accident when I knew the information had already been sent to them by my attorney and the chiropractor, as both my attorney and chiropractor had confirmed this multiple times, and directed them to my attorney). After over an hour and the doctor being unable to continue his evaluation without the information his offices seemed to have lost, I told the nurse I had to go to work. The nurse said that I had to wait and that usually first appointments took from one to one and a half hours. First of all, I hadn't been notified of that; and secondly, if it was an hour to an hour and a half being seen by a doctor, I would understand, but certainly not an hour plus of literally just waiting. That's unacceptable. I left and the nurse gave me her card to call her to schedule an appointment even though I twice asked her to call me since I was worried I would forget (and I felt the onus should be on them to reschedule). A month later, I get an automated message from Healthpointe saying that I have an 8 a.m. appointment the following day. I contacted my attorney's office who said they hadn't scheduled an appointment. So I called and the nurse who had given me her card, Maira, picked up the phone. She claimed that she had scheduled the 8 a.m. with me and wrote it on the card before I left and claimed that I had said if I couldn't make it, I would reschedule the appointment. I told her that was untrue and I had the card with me which was blank. After arguing with me for a minute about that, she finally said that I could cancel and reschedule later to get me off the line. I wasn't sure why she didn't want to reschedule at the time, but I was just happy to get off the phone. Dealing with Healthpointe has been a headache in and of itself. They are unprofessional, rude, and actually did lie to me and even to my chiropractor when they billed them for x-rays that I did not take. I can't even tell you about the quality of their work because I didn't even get to receive their services and was so traumatized and done with the way they treated me, that I asked my attorney to please send me to any other location to get evaluated. My advice: never go here. read more

I went here last week to get a TB test for my job and I am certainly glad that I found Healthpointe! The TB test cost $25 without insurance, which is half of what the CVS Minute Clinic charges. I waited no longer than 3 minutes to be seen... hallelujah! There are plenty of chairs in the waiting area as well as a big screen TV. Everyone working there was friendly and professional. I returned 2 days later to get my test reading/results and was attended to immediately. read more

Employment health screening and TB test was a breeze at this place. I didn't know what to expect. I was greeted by the most friendly front office medical staff. It was unreal lol. All staff here were very efficient. The doctor did an amazing, quick & thorough assessment that I have never had with any other dr for other health screenings. Other drs usually come and ask if I'm okay or if I have any problems and that's all. In and out in 2 minutes. This dr did a full range of motion assessment and I even got a vision screening which neverrrrr happened at any other clinic! I did have to wait a while in the lobby to be called in, but that's pretty norm especially if you come walking in without an appointment like I did. I didn't mind. Paid cash. $80 for health screening. $40 for TB skin test. read more

I have been suffering back pain since 2007 . I have been seen by two other Chiropractors before to, no avail. As a Physical Therapist myself, I have almost tried everything and every approach to live a near normal life. BAck pain sufferers alike know what I mean here, when I say that having back pain is miserable. I came to see Dr Hunter ,skeptic at first . I was thinking what does he know that the others before him doesn't?. soon enough , after some session and teaching By Dr. Clarence , I was able to enjoy my old activities like playing basketball and long car rides again . HE fixed my long standing terrible posture that contributed to my sciatic pain . I have regained enjoyment of being upright again . all thanks to His approach . Dr Patchett is great and it is because of him I came here. Great doctor, no issues with him. That said- unfortunately for me, he works here. This place is horrible and if you have other options, go somewhere else. The wait times are unbearable. The staff at the front desk is "friendly" enough but they are completely indifferent to the patient. I can deal (no choice in the matter) with the hour / hour and a half wait time to see the Dr, what i cant deal with is the fact that they make you wait AFTER you've seen the Dr. I have never ever in all the times Ive gone to see other Doctors at other locations (whether they be a general Dr or a specialist) been made to wait AFTER Ive seen the Dr simply to schedule a follow up. My experiences every other time everywhere else goes as follows: you see the Dr, you step out, go straight to counter, they ask you when the Dr wants to see you (unless they already know), they do their thing in the computer and ask if a certain date is ok, yes/no, you get an appt card and you walk out. Done. NOT at Healthpointe-Irwindale. Here, dont even go to the counter because youre told to have a seat, they'll call you up when they're ready. Not because theyre busy, just because thats what they do -standard procedure. This didnt happen just one random time because they were busy, this has happened every single time Ive been there. And im not talking about waiting for a minute or two, but from a half hour to once for an hour!!!! Once on a late appointment, by the time i walked out from seeing the Dr, i was literally the only one, in the waiting area, the only one, and I still waited for almost a half hour. When i went to the counter to complain, they simply gave me an indifferent apology and said "maybe we were just waiting on your chart, not sure". Really? Theres NOONE else here!! So then whats their excuse every other time I've been here?? This last visit, I simply walked out at the half hour mark. I wasnt about to waste one more minute waiting on them. Did they call me to reschedule later that day or the next? Nope. They could care less. As if their wait times werent enough, this place is always, always busy. Between every day pre-employment and school sports physical walk-ins, there's always someone standing in the back because theres not enough seating. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you have a choice. read more

I have been seen here 2 times so far. I plan on continuing my treatment with 1-2 appointments a week. I only see the chiropractic department, but have had nothing but a good experience. The reception ladies and gents have done nothing but be helpful and polite. I only visit in the evenings, approx 5pm, and leave about 6:20pm. The office is generally empty except the last few doctors and assistants when I leave. The reason for only 4 stars, there was confusion before I was able to become a patient about my insurance. I have an additional insurance I pay for that is separate from my health insurance and is for Chiropractic care ONLY. This was difficult for them to process and many phone calls later I was able to get it sorted out. I can only assume this isn't a normal insurance they see and that is what caused the confusion. I like this office, the docs and the rest of the staff. I am happy to be receiving care from this facility read more

I Went for an Eye injury and was greeted well by staff! My Nurse Cassandra was Amazing! She showed concern and compassion towards my Injury, she explained the test she was performing, She made me feel Comfortable and at Ease, like a friend, I was pretty nervous because it was an eye injury, Dr. Yuan was also Wonderful at Answering my questions and explaining issues, they don't rush, they take time to address your concerns. After being referred by my insurance to come here for Urgent Care, I walked in to get checked out for an ongoing illness. I gave the front desk lady my insurance card, she looked at me saying that my insurance wasn't accepted. For heaven's sakes, I have a PPO. How is it not accepted, especially since THE INSURANCE COMPANY referred me there?!? In any case, wouldn't you offer a person treatment regardless of whether insurance was accepted or not? I went to Healthpointe to get a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate for my commercial license. I highly suggest making an early morning appointment, I believe this was one of the contributing factors of this positive experience. I was greeted by the receptionist Jenifer, who was very cheerful and helpful. I was escorted into the examination room by Medical Assistant Marty in less than 10 minutes. Marty has a very professional calm demeanor, which is helpful when you are taking several different tests that determine whether you will continue driving a commercial vehicle. Doctor John Huette who came into the examination room very promptly, was polite, courteous and personable. The entire process took a little over 30 minutes, which in my book is very rare. I received my certificate and was off to DMV for submission. You know that was a total separate experience. In conclusion the new office is very large and the facility very clean. Thank you. Extremely rude staff! They yell at you for not telling you what needs to be filled out in the paperwork section. Then they make you wait again before they see you in a smelly room. Wait times here is long. Sometimes 30 minutes-1 hour wait just to do simple procedures like a TB test or TB assessment. They also overcharge you for a TB test. I would not recommend you going here. My job referred me to this place and it has been a terrible experience. I would have given 0 stars if that was an option. read more

Daniel was my X-ray tech, and really went above and beyond to make sure I was assisted and taken care of during all follow-up appointments. The doctor was always up to par on how I was doing, thanks to Daniel's excellent communication, which really means a lot to me as a patient. Scheduling follow-up appointments was extremely easy, and I never experienced a long wait.
